Cooked my veiga food on same grill as all the other food so I wasn't able to eat it. I think it's like this everywhere tho. Unless your a propper veiga

Arrived on a rainy Monday lunch time. For just a quick coffee, and stayed for four great subs. Received a warm welcome and a great choice of bread and fillings. Veggie loved it and the rest of us couldn’t have been happier. We will be back.

El personal donde acogedor. Buena comida y precios fantásticos. El café era bueno. El brownie de chocolate era muy bueno.

Comemos aquí regularmente cuando visitamos a nuestras hijas en Leeds. Les gusta regresar aquí ya que la comida es consistentemente buena. Excelente relación calidad-precio y una amplia selección de rellenos y pan de sándwich. Siempre muy fresco. Tienen una buena selección de bebidas calientes y frías también. Aunque no somos visitantes regulares, la dueña de la casa siempre nos reconoce y tiene una conversación rápida, aunque a menudo está muy ocupada.

Bright, vibrant little deli serving some of the nicest subs, wraps and sandwiches prepared fresh in front of you, just as you like them. Great choice of drinks, snacks and home baked cakes to pore over too. Highly recommend. ☺️

Slips is a local institution, serving great sandwiches and breakfasts, to eat-in or take away. The service is friendly, the food good, and it offers excellent value for money. All diets are catered for, including vegetarians and vegans. Slips specialises in hearty subs, which are both filling and delicious. Coffee is good, and they sell a range of soft drinks. In fine weather, you can sit out on the pavement.

Me (a vegan) and my friend, a non vegan, both enjoyed a really nice, freshyly cooked breakfast wrap, Lost of alternatives for vegan including vegan spread, vegan bacon and vegan sausages. Really cheap for good quality breakfast and no queues, lovely staff.

I love Slips, the sandwiches are always fantastic with a great range to choose from and whatever your preferences are they will be catered for. The owner is fab the only negative i can think of is I work to far away to be able to get there every lunch!

Travelling on foot, I needed somewhere to park myself for 20 minutes recently that was close to Burley Park rail station. Slips deli was perfect. I can only really testify to their affordable tea (£1 a mug) but it was a warm welcome, the place inside is awash with sandwich options on blackboards in coloured chalk with flags and exclamation marks aplenty. It's only really got room for a couple of tables crammed together and a serving counter for takeaways and I hope they'll forgive me in saying it was a little rough and ready (in the sense it's not a five-star culinary experience) but I was chuffed to bits to find it and it was a lifesaver. I can always pop back for a sandwich now I know they're there. Why would you go to Subway when you can support a local business? There looked to be loads of choice so handy to have options.

Been here quite a lot to get breakfast sandwiches. Bread and filling really good and the price is very reasonable.

Over priced for the quality and lack flavour. We decided to try them as Gregs have gone from the Co-Op which is a pity.

Probably my favourite sandwich shop in Leeds!! Love going and getting the Mexican chicken sub (with extra avocado) - I always get a large and it'll last me all day! Healthier option than most fast food places and they have a lot of choice, plus it's great value. The staff are lovely as well!!

Slips is a local institution, famous for its belly-busting subs. The food is good, fairly priced, and fast. The coffee is also good. It's a bit cramped inside, but there are a few seats outside for when the weather is good. The staff are generally lovely, apart from 'Mrs Slips', who is invariably miserable, and can be thoroughly unpleasant, both to her staff and to her customers. On several occasions, she's smothered my sandwich in mustard, without asking first, and then told ME off (I'm a middle-aged man)! It's much nicer when she's not there, and I look forward to her retirement, when I will visit more often.

Me encanta esta tienda independiente de sándwiches. Los bocadillos son siempre un buen tamaño y completos de muy sabroso rellenos. Los chicos en el trabajo ir al menos una vez a la semana. El personal es siempre amable y para gastar bromas!

Fuimos a la pequeña tienda debido a las opciones vegetariano para mi hijo. Los 3 de nosotros optamos por la/vegan de vegetariano sub de desayuno que estaba recién preparado, caliente y sabrosa. No hay mucho espacio para sentarse pero les vimos haciendo una próspera trabajo Subs en comida para llevar. Me gustó el hecho de que no os timarán para bebidas y la amabilidad de la gente haciendo la comida era perfecto. El menú opciones son muy variadas y en otro día habría sido mimados con las opciones de carne

More than a typical butty shop.Really nice, home cooked fillings. The pulled pork was amazing.Two lovely women serving, great menu choice and decent prices. Will be going again for sure.

This place is more than a sandwich shop! Its SLIPS DELI! The food here is awesome for what you pay you can select from a great range and even have one made to order how you like! I would say its more of a lunch Sub place than breakfast think thats a concious effort so not to be classed as a bacon buttie shop which this is far from! I can only say try it and get a footlong eat that and you will satisfy the best part of a days hunger!!!If I am passing and hungry and this place is open I would go here before i even consider subway or mcdonalds!

The sandwiches on offer are great. The blue cheese sauce is not for the faint hearted, but I loved it. The coffee was excellent and the staff we're really warm and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone.

Used to live in this part of Leeds when I was a student 50 years ago, when a pint of Wm Youngers in Whitelocks was 1/6d (7½p to you,Sir). This is a great little sub/wrap takeaway (there are a few seats, and even 4 outside). The service is speedy and friendly and the selection of freshly made subs is great. I was only able to try one - pulled pork with BBQ sauce and sour cream - and this was only a half one - easily enough for me, with a great cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows on top. The half subs were £3.25-3.50 and the whole ones under £5 - far too big for me, but probably manageable if I was a hungry student once more.This is a great value place for students (many still live in the area) and also handy for Headingley cricket/rugby ground - they are open 7 days a week, but not evenings.Thanks, Lisa and staff - will call again next time I'm up in Leeds.
