Slim Chickens in Trafford

Ate here a few times when working away from home and staying near Trafford centre. Every time food came out hot and delicious

What's not to love about slim chickens? Chicken is always cooked to perfection, fries are some of the best around. and service is always swift.

This was a very overpriced place to eat, my food took me almost 3 hours just to get a spicy dipped burger and chips, the food I enjoyed but it took so long to actually get my food that my legs were in severe pain and all the other seats were full, never ordering from slims chicken again

This is a good place to go with friends because the atmosphere is amazing I loved the seasoning on the chips and my buffalo chicken sandwich

This spot is the worst chicken joint in the whole of manchester the chicken tenders were clearly not made fresh to order and the batter wasn’t even batter it was skin???? I have never in my life been to slim chickens before I ended up spending £20 on a terrible meal I could’ve got better for £15 less down the road please AVOID at all costs

After a long strenuous afternoon of shopping with my wife I thought what better way to celebrate the end of the shopping fiasco but to sit down and enjoy a warm hearty meal at slim chickens in the Trafford centre. However this was not to be the case. To my utmost genuine horror what arrived can only be referred to as a catastrophe. My first major qualm is that my chicken tenders meal looked like it had been constructed using a pack of birdseye chicken nuggets and McCain fries Let me start with the chicken it had a bouncy stringy texture like it had been frozen, it lacked any sort of acknowledgment in terms of seasoning it was terribly bland a mis justice to the sacred name of fried chicken. My fries were the only edible thing ….. just about. I would highly advise to shop elsewhere to settle any hunger you may have after spending all your money on your wife

We always treat ourselves to a Five Guys when at The Trafford Centre but this time we decided to try Slim Chickens. It was absolutely delicious, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. 7 tenders meal and the 5 tenders and 5 wing combo meal made up our order. £15 for each meal deal was good value for money and we will definitely be back.

Usually I would love to indulge in a slim chickens, I was out of the country for three months and came straight back here, only to be disappointed…. the texas toast was inedible (very burnt) the chips were old and cold and the chicken was the only thing that seemed fresh. I couldn’t go back and complain as I got a takeaway. The service was fine and the seating was not too busy, but I don’t think i’ll be rushing back here. Disappointed as this used to be my go to at the trafford centre.

Food was brilliant and the service was impeccable

About 4 families around us got there food within 2 minutes and we had to be somewhere and it took 30 minutes to get here the end.

Recently went in to Slim Chickens after I went a few weeks ago to have a quick meal, I was greeted by a girl named Macey this time who seems to be new but was very friendly and encouraged me to try the ranch honey bbq sauce and I loved it! Will definitely be returning with the quality/speed of food and the friendly hosts! Will definitely recommend a try!

I’ve been a fan of Slim Chickens since my first visit, and while I’ve had some hits and misses lately, the overall experience still keeps me coming back. The chicken is usually crispy and flavorful, and the dipping sauces are a nice touch.

Definitely better than the usual fast food fried chicken. Ordered the 5 Tender meal with a side of gravy and a slims wrap meal. Served pretty quick. Well flavoured food, good quality chicken, tasty seasoned fries, big portion size and served with a proper sauce, great selection of drinks. Well worth paying a little more than typical fast food.

me personally i ordered the 7 piece tender meal and ive got to say the chicken was done to absolutely perfection very tendered on the inside and crispy on the outside the texas toast was splendid perfectly executed by the chefs and the price you pay is definitely worth it. Great customer service from one of the many kind staff there such as Iffy. Definitely a recommendation.

My daughter in law found chewing gum in her chicken wrap. We reported it someone came over and said that he had searched his chefs pockets and none of them had chewing gum on them. Basically accusing my daughter in law of putting it there. They did refund the meal which was ok.

Mid. Every time i’ve been the garlic bread is burnt on the bottom. The chicken burger I got last time was dry as a bone.

Ordered our food on the touch screen which was clean and easy to do. Collected our own refillable cold drinks. The food was brought promptly to the table by a nice member of staff. Food was really good, the chicken was moist. A wet wipe would have been helpful but was a nice meal. Will go again.

Starting off with the good, the service here is fantastic. Don't know his name but whoever brought out our order was almost like a waiter making sure we had everything we need and very friendly - very unexpected for a fast food chain! Plenty of seating and was easy to order via the screens, the food was the let down... Ordered the 3pc fillet 3pc wing meal and when they say "fillet", don't go thinking of even a Mini Fillet Size like KFC... these were less than half the size of a mini fillet (maybe even a 1/3rd of the size?) and such a disappointing portion size for what must've been nearly double the cost. The wings were okay, the highlight really was just the texas toast which is basically a garlic type bread.

Really didn’t want to have to write this but has to be done. Firstly, I walked in to (from the outside looking in) looked like an exiting American themed fried chicken shop. Upon entering, the atmosphere seemed pretty flat and the workers looked like they didn’t want to be there. I proceeded to place my order on the self service till, which looked like it hadn’t been wiped clean in a while. I sat down and waiting for my food to arrive, when it arrived it looked nothing like it did on the pictures on the screens. Their slogan is something along the lines of ‘made fresh for every order’. Let me tell you - the was no way on hells earth that what they served me was ‘fresh’. Not only did they get the dip choice wrong, but when I raised my concern about the freshness of the food, the server looked at me as if I was lying but replied bluntly saying he’ll change it. The food came back warmer, however the quality of the chicken was poor and overall greasy. There was also a hair on my table which hadn’t been cleaned from the previous customer. I decided not to complain a second time (even though it was clear for everyone to see that I wasn’t happy) and leave. After paying £14 for the 7 chicken tender meal, the only thing which was good about the whole experience, was that they had unlimited refillable drinks…. And the drinks weren’t that fizzy. Slim Chickens management team - you have a long way to go if you want to compete with the likes of Wingstop. Your customer service guidelines need to be address because it doesn’t look like any of your staff want to be there. Wingstop saved the day ✌🏽

Been here a few times, and the food has always been great. Tasty options and always fresh when ordered. My only negative is the service is questionable at best - most of the people who bring your food to the table are lovely and want to make sure you’re having a good experience. Others act like each inconvenience is personally coming out of their pay checks. Had a very bizarre experience last time we went where we (along with others including people on crutches, walking sticks etc) were made to wait in line to enter the seating area behind those wanting to order from the screens despite there being plenty of seats available. Those who were planning to order to the table still had to wait. Having worked in retail, I understand that measures are put in place to manage crowds on occasions, however the area was quiet and this very strange process was not pleasant for those with disabilities/elderly individuals that were choosing to eat at Slim Chickens. The worker managing the queue showed no empathy. Very odd. TLDR: good food, not so good service.

Quick service although very busy, food was piping hot and tasted very nice, pricey but so is everything these days. One note, I found a piece of pottery and plastic in my food which is why this is rated 2 star. Otherwise it would be 3.

Not a nice establishment. Can’t even accurately rate the food because they said that we couldn’t eat or order there. Other people reserved tables but we couldn’t. The people working there were unkind.

A friend introduced us to this restaurant and we always go there, we never had any problems. Yesterday we invited a couple of friends, our first order was delicious as always, then we decided to order another portion, it was cold and looked like it had been fried after already being fried. It was soft, not crunchy like the first one. We called one of the employees and explained the situation, she said it was looking ok, but that we could change it. As we frequent the restaurant a lot, we knew it wasn't normal. My husband was very upset with her response, it seemed like we were trying to take advantage. He decided to eat it anyway. But, hey, it's £16 for 7 tenders... it wasn't fair. I went to ask for another portion, as the other attendant had said I could, the person who helped me was extremely unpleasant, she kept telling me that it was perfectly fine the tender and there was nothing she could do, in a mocking tone. Until the other person, who was watching the situation and laughing, came and said they could change it. In truth? We don't need that. I think the minimum is to treat customers with respect, we were doing it. Maybe it wasn't a good day for them, but for us it was definitely a bad experience. We will not be returning, we will not recommend the restaurant again. There are hundreds of good restaurants that sell chicken out there…

To manager/owner Food is good service is good But every weekend you guys have issues with kitchen, with fries, with drink machine Come on you should be ready for weekend, you are in trafford centre, these things should not happen every now and the. Hope you improve

This was my fourth visit here and the food was amazing as expected considering how busy it was, most of the staff here were very happy and polite just the odd individuals who seemed they had things on their minds. It’s a shame the loyalty scanner wasn’t working on the self orders as I had a large order over £70 with my two daughters and their friends, unfortunately for a couple of them the gravy mayo had run out but other than that the experience was quite pleasant. Thank you.

Ordered extra money for large fries and didn’t get any more fries than the normal serving. Order was delayed for what seemed for no reason and an extra sauce pot was forgotten. Also fries were not even seasoned, they just didn’t care.

I found this place very below standard. It definitely wasn’t worth £26 for 2 burger meals. I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here until they sort themselves out.
