Slim Chickens in Trafford

Saturday night. Queue to order as kitchen so busy. Staff lady black skin with long nails manning the queue throughout. Told us 30 min wait to order. Wife and kids waited 30 mins. Time to order and told 30 mins wait for food…….. Wife said to girl “Weber just waited 30 mins to order Why didn’t you tell us there would be another 30 min wait. Staff member then said to girl manning the queue “you were told to tell everyone” and she just shrugged. We walked away.

The food was dreadful however the exceptional customer service outshone the lack of culinary skills. In particular Leo was attentive, welcoming and hygienic ensuring a clean dining area!

the girl at the front desk with brown long hair had disgusting attitude, even when i asked simple questions as i have never been here before she answered with hostility and made me feel the questions i was asking were wasting her time, i work in hospitality myself so u know how you should be presenting yourself and it wasn’t like how she was today, she was in her own clothes so if she was a manager you really need to re think your choices and give the job role to someone with a better attitude and at least some manner. also the food took so long to come out i had time to drinks my whole milkshake. over price mess

So, I’ll start on the negative and that is that it took 40 min for the food to arrive, the food was hot when it arrived, but I did complain to a member of staff after 35 min of waiting, they apologised and explained that they where very busy. When the food arrive they had thrown in some extra milkshakes and extra chips, the food was good nice and hot could not complain apart from the 40min wait, staff where very understanding and helpfull

I waited over 25 minutes for a simple chicken burger, at Friday lunch time, and they clearly didn’t have any structure, as it wasn’t very busy. After speaking to 3 different members of staff, who were rude and rolled their eyes! I finally got the food, it didn’t have the extras that we asked and paid for, the food was extra salty and slightly burnt, so may be that why we waited for SO long! Hence the no stars

Clean place and decent service but the food was a bit disappointing. Ordered a classic sandwich and buffalo wrap. Both were severely lacking in chicken! 2 small bits in the wrap and the sandwich basically had a tiny fillet on for the burger.For the money I'd expect a lot more! Shame because it's tasty!

Food arrived 20mins after drinks were dispatched. Food order arrived and 2 of the meals were not hot. Food order was incorrect so had to return making food even colder. First time and last time.

Wanna dined in Slim Chicken today.There were two automatic tills available and nobody was using them. We thought we could just go and order. While picking our option, a very rude staff told us off saying ‘do you realise there’s a queue’. As there were no instructions how to order and we thought the queue was just for waiting for the order, we really had not realised there’s a queue. We immediately walked away and would never return. The attitude of the staff is absolutely appalling. The restaurant should consider to put a clearer signs on the way to order and retrain the staff.

Poor service level, staff is so rude and no control on the till

I had an awful experience at Slim Chickens in the Trafford Centre around 19:40. The staff completely ignored me and another driver waiting to be served, despite us standing right there for a long time. We had to call them multiple times just to get their attention, which is unacceptable. One staff member in particular (with black hair and a heavier build) seemed completely uninterested in helping. The lack of professionalism and customer service was shocking. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if this is how they treat their customers.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we found the staff to be great with us all. We were greeted as we arrived and sat straight away. Menu was explained and we ordered online with quick turn around of our food.

Amazing food, fresh and hot, very good service

I had bad experience at Slim Chickens in the Trafford Centre today around 4.00PM. One of the staff members, a lady short and fat, was shockingly rude and unprofessional. I was there with my three children, one of whom is a toddler, and we usually find a table before ordering.However, this employee aggressively insisted we queue and order before sitting, going so far as to push us out. Her behavior was completely unacceptable and made us feel unwelcome. Then i decided to leave and eat somewhere else. This experience was frustrating and disrespectful , and I expect far better customer service.

Horrendous experience. Both me and my partners are both huge fans of Slim Chickens and frequently go to the Trafford Centre and Cheshire Oaks restaurants, but our most recent experience left us feeling quite sick. We've been attending Trafford Centres slim chickens since it opened and the original manager was really friendly and positive, just had a really good vibe about it. On arrival, we ordered fairly quickly, ordering a buffalo wrap with cheese and a 5 piece tenders meal. After ordering at the till and paying, I was asked what sauces I'd like, but to be told there we're 4 sauces remaining to choose from. Then whilst waiting for the food to be ready, I was then told the 2 sauce I'd asked for also were not longer available and only 2 left.. Whilst waiting for the food to arrive, we went to make a drink using the drinks machines, to find 2 of the 3 were turned off and the 1 remaining machine was pouring pure soda with no syrup, so the drinks were a waste of time. Then the food arrives, the wrap is cold, wrapped in 5 sheets of foil and...covered in Bacon? We immediately spoke to the manager who apologised and handed us a fresh wrap that seemed to be pre-made. Soon as we open this, it's covered in BBQ sauce and cold also. The manager again apologised and said another would be made, which it was, but missing cheese and again stone cold. At this point we had 3 wraps on our table that we're all awful. Although my partner told me not to bother going to the manager again, there would have been no point, as the entire team were sat on a table elsewhere eating full meals of their own food which just made us feel as though we were a hinderance. After leaving most of the food and deciding to just give up and head home, I decided to use the toilets prior to leaving. Prior to getting to the toilets, the corridor leading to them had a horrible smell and overflowing bin bags that had fallen over and some propping a door open were just left there. Once inside the toilets, it was a total scene, toilet roll all over floors, no toilet roll left anywhere and unbelievably dried blood on the rear end of the toilet seat. We left and were left pretty shocked about how far this place has gone down hill, such a shame. I rarely EVER leave a negative review, especially one like this and about a place we normally recommend to others who haven't tried it. But I felt this was necessary.

It says "fresh"on their takeaway boxes but it was the opposite. Chicken was hard, probably old. And the buns were burnt. Felt sick last night. Has really put me off fast food. Also, food took ages.

So I Qued up on a Saturday for ages with 2 starving children. I ordered 2 fries and onw LOADED chicken fries. Firstly they were cold, and secondly, they had literally pulled apart JUST ONE TENDER n put it in top of the fries(5 tiny pieces ofchkn) absolutely disjointed, but was too hungry, and ling ques to even bother complaining. Won't be visiting again I swear.

Staff here couldn't have been any more helpful. The food is amazing. Overall it's a brilliant place to eat.

Fab service and food was delicious

I always find Slim Chickens underrated, I find it much better than KFC as it tastes fresher and visually looks good. Food was served quickly when eating in, portion sizes are good across all options, been here twice now and each time has been great. Tables could be cleared much quicker though as a lot were left dirty for a bit of time.

So glad I have discovered this gem in TC! Great service, food was amazing and seating is massive! Perfect for couples and even families. I went two days in a row!

Food was a bit bland, and very expensive for portion sizes, burger was pretty bland, was expecting cheese slice as paid for extra cheese £1 instead got a few strands of shredded cheese, couldnt even taste it, the chicken tenders were very small, the toast was very nice tasted like garlic bread, the chips had no salt, so had to use the dip they provide which was ok, but yeah for a simple chicken burger meal £15 is not worth it, especially when theres a better place just across from it haha with bigger tenders and cheaper prices and full of flavour, shouldnt have to rely on dipping in a sauce for flavour, need to preflavour the things so they not bland

Very expensive for poor quality stone cold food

Really poor experience, waited 15 minutes to order at a self-service kiosk, while waiting a lady would constantly about eating in or out. Once we ordered a further 15 minutes wait to collect the food, once we received our order I found that the chip portions to be very small and missing chicken tenders, for £16 per person the portion sizes , missing items and on top of it all cold food, I left really dissatisfied. I had a Five Guys a few weeks before again this is expensive but the food and service was fantastic

Great food, milkshakes were really good, good choice of sauce options, it was busy but well managed. Chantellle was the girl who helped us and was really friendly and lovely. Definitely worth a visit!

This was the worst fast food I have ever had. Ordered two burger meals, hot buffalo sandwich meal and classic chicken sandwich meal. The hot buffalo burger and chips were overloaded with salt, I could not taste anything other than salt. The classic chicken burger came pink and uncooked. Would never eat here again. The total came to £25+ not worth it at all.

We were served by Alain today, he was very nice and welcoming. Our food was served quickly and was amazing.

Food was great can’t fault it however one of the managers tops was clearly too small and his stomach was hanging out the bottom which I felt was very unhygienic especially when he was delivering food to tables and bending over so it was practically in their food.

We used to love it here but recently they have been serving miniature chicken tenders, actually they are half size tenders cut in half. I hope they realise what a rip off this is and fix it.

I've been before and rated it. Today, i thought I'd try the plant based tenders. Awful. Dry as dust, flavourless and so flat. Plus, for £13, i expect more food in a meal deal. Why does this mot come with the garlic toast when other meal deals do. An absolute robbers job

We ordered two seven piece tender meals they both came with 1 chicken missing the peices were nugget size the toast was miniature and u only get 2 and it took over an hour to come even though their was two other people they had to serve. Won’t recommend at all

Great buttermilk chicken for its values although its expensive you get what you pay for. Expensive = high quality at this restaurant crispy chicken and seasoned fries all cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place for anyone coming to the Trafford Centre.

What's not to love about slim chickens? Chicken is always cooked to perfection, fries are some of the best around. and service is always swift.

This was a very overpriced place to eat, my food took me almost 3 hours just to get a spicy dipped burger and chips, the food I enjoyed but it took so long to actually get my food that my legs were in severe pain and all the other seats were full, never ordering from slims chicken again

This spot is the worst chicken joint in the whole of manchester the chicken tenders were clearly not made fresh to order and the batter wasn’t even batter it was skin???? I have never in my life been to slim chickens before I ended up spending £20 on a terrible meal I could’ve got better for £15 less down the road please AVOID at all costs

After a long strenuous afternoon of shopping with my wife I thought what better way to celebrate the end of the shopping fiasco but to sit down and enjoy a warm hearty meal at slim chickens in the Trafford centre. However this was not to be the case. To my utmost genuine horror what arrived can only be referred to as a catastrophe. My first major qualm is that my chicken tenders meal looked like it had been constructed using a pack of birdseye chicken nuggets and McCain fries Let me start with the chicken it had a bouncy stringy texture like it had been frozen, it lacked any sort of acknowledgment in terms of seasoning it was terribly bland a mis justice to the sacred name of fried chicken. My fries were the only edible thing ….. just about. I would highly advise to shop elsewhere to settle any hunger you may have after spending all your money on your wife

We always treat ourselves to a Five Guys when at The Trafford Centre but this time we decided to try Slim Chickens. It was absolutely delicious, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. 7 tenders meal and the 5 tenders and 5 wing combo meal made up our order. £15 for each meal deal was good value for money and we will definitely be back.

Usually I would love to indulge in a slim chickens, I was out of the country for three months and came straight back here, only to be disappointed…. the texas toast was inedible (very burnt) the chips were old and cold and the chicken was the only thing that seemed fresh. I couldn’t go back and complain as I got a takeaway. The service was fine and the seating was not too busy, but I don’t think i’ll be rushing back here. Disappointed as this used to be my go to at the trafford centre.
