Food poisoning after eating this poor food vomited all night also left a review explaining that we ordered on the machine and were not provided with a receipt staff were unconcerned and did not provide support, the business owner has replied to the review carelessly asking for me to provide a copy of the reciept when clearly in my review states the receipt was not printed. Please look at my previous review my name (Lail) and look at the very dumb response we got from the business owner. I honestly do not know how this place has not been shut down due to how many people have got food poisoning.

Worst eat in experience worst choice of place to eat, we ordered our meals on the machine the receipt was not printed. We ordered a buffalo sandwich & when the food turned up we were presented with 3 chicken tenders and chips to then be told they do not have burgers or have ran out. We also discovered the food is plant based. Staff are lazy and unprofessional. Do not eat here you will not be satisfied unfortunately.

Food poisoning been sick all night, me and my son. My son is 4 years old was sick all over the bed sheets had dhiarroea all day. The chicken was cold when it came out the chips were warm, they were that busy I was looking for someone to replace the food, but they were busy so we just carried on eating the food. Disgusting place do not eat food from here. Wouldn’t give it to my dog. That’s how bad I feel. Bed ridden all day. Slim chicken has made me slim today. On the positive if you want to lose a stone in one day, go to slim chicken.

Visit here for lunch every time we come to meadowhall. The food is great value and good quality. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit.

Dont come to slim chicken, it is not worth it for the price. The chicken is dry and full of veins, the food portions are small and expensive. The workers were on their phones constantly, didn't feel welcomed at all. I recommend going to popeyes because it’s just better.

First visit. £14 for an okay sized meal with drink. Delivery to the table was just a few minutes. There were quite a few people in for a wednesday evening. Food was alright.

As fast food goes this is pretty pricey but to be fair, it tasted fresh and was piping hot. It’s novel to decide on the sauces that accompany the meal and there’s a fair bit of option. The staff were lack lustre which I guess is what chains breed. The place was busy, the tables and restaurant was clean and had nicely spaced out seating. For Meadowhall it’s one worth going to, but nothing particularly incredible to shout about

Ok so I'd describe it as easily one step up from KFC or McDonald's but you pay for the privilege. Good freshly cooked hot food refillable coffee, tea and soft drinks, the two basic meals and drinks came to £28, if you wanted sauces and coleslaw etc it was £37ish. The chicken tenders were very nice.

My daughter had tender mac and cheese in kids menu we upgraded the drink to strawberry milkshake ,they both was very tasty, We went to meadowhall early so they was no ques the restaurant got busy quickly.

Food was good but my son unfortunately forgot his jumper when we left. We called and staff confirmed they had it and would keep it safe for us. However when we tried to collect it wasn’t there and the staff we have spoken to all say they have no knowledge of this. Tried to contact the company about this but have not even received a response. Very poor. Owner contacted after response to this review but no reply received.

Can't really fault it! The chicken and dips were great. The staff was great and the shop looked nice. Really recommend the 3 and 3 combo, the chicken wings are lovely and moist, and the tenders with the dips were bang on. I can recommend all the dips we chose, my favourite was the Habanero and it wasn't be spicy!

Cold food, chewy, bland, the chicken was sinewy and tasteless, the chips were either too hard or too chewy and the texas toast was flavourless. Only good bit was the sauce

The food is good, but had two children’s meals ordered and they only sent 1 drink. How am I supposed to give a drink to one child and not the other???? We were also shorted the ranch sauce.

The emphasis of fast with this up market fast food place is on requiring you to get to the toilet fast in order to rid your bowels. Would not eat here again.

We visited this afternoon and from 9pm my son hasn’t stopped throwing up and it’s now 3am and still happening, I’m also suffering with my stomach. Never will I visit this store again.

Very pleasant experience!! Although the waiting time was quite long, the staff were really friendly and as a biscoff lover I was ecstatic to find a biscoff shake on the menu. I ordered a kid's tenders meal as I wasn't that hungry, but the food was very good, my friends also tried some of it and are going to be ordering some too next time!

I visited Slim Chickens at Meadowhall today, and overall, it was an underwhelming experience. The food was OK, with the dips being acceptable, but the fries were over-seasoned and far too salty for my taste. The biggest disappointment was the drink selection. Only diet options were available from the fountain (Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, and Sprite), all sweetened with artificial sweeteners. For the high cost, I expected better. I could have had a meal of equal quality at McDonald’s for less money—and they would have had regular Coca Cola. While the food was OK (3/5), the drinks were a letdown (0/5), bringing my overall rating to 2/5.

I went to Slim Chickens in Meadowhall, Sheffield today. I bought 6 chicken wings to eat-in. They were great. Delicious, juicy and all were a good size (I have posted a photo of the basket of chickens) I ate 3 of the wings. No complaints there at all. I ordered 6 more chicken wings and a portion of seasoned fries to takeout. I took them home along with the 3 eat-in wings I didn’t finish. I opened the box and was shocked when I compared the size of the takeout wings to the eat-in wings. All were a lot smaller and some of the takeout wings were 1/3rd and one was almost half the size of the eat-in wings. I was really disappointed and unhappy, especially as I recently discovered Slim Chickens. I ate at Slim Chickens on an eat-in basis 3 times over the last 7 days and I wanted to buy some to take home as I don’t live close to a branch. If I had checked the contents of the box there I would have complained and not accepted the take-out wings. I will not order takeout chicken wings from Slim Chickens again. The seasoned fries were a decent portion. I hope someone can address this as otherwise the food really is delicious. Edit: I really appreciate the quick response and I also received a response from HQ. I am confident Slim Chickens will address this issue. Thank you!

Where to start first off the slims sauce is not nice at all tastes abit zesty. The gravey tasted honestly like bisto. Sugar free only drinks wasn't great either. I wouldn't recommend this personally there is better stuff at kfc for slightly less money.

Amazing food and food. We made a mistake when ordering with an allergy and the manager quickly replaced the order no charge or fuss. Absolutely top notch food as well, three of us ordered and there was three empty plates at the end . Not even a stray chip escaped. Definitely worth the visit.

Me and my partner visited the Slims chicken store and once placing our order online we had been informed that what we had ordered had unfortunately sold out. A colleague called Brandon dealt with this issue for us and was so efficient and professional during the whole situation. He could not do enough for us and provided a great service despite the issue we had. He really is a great member of the team and we believe this should be recognised for his amazing efforts. Loved the chips, sauce and the burger. The different flavours coming out of the chips and burgers were absolutely gorgeous. Service was swift and unlimited soft drinks with your meal. I would highly recommend!

Ordered chicken tender meal, chicken burger meal, fried pickles and Texas toast. The food was bang on, the chips were crispy and fresh and have a great seasoning on, chicken tenders were very crispy, batter was very tasty and the chicken was so tender and juicy, no chewy bits at all. The chicken burger was very nice too, however the size of the burger was a little small. The Texas toast was great, it was like a garlic bread so can’t go wrong with that. The portion of fried pickles were huge so that partially made up for the small ish burger, these were very nice too. The only reason I have given 4 stars in because the food was very expensive. Just over £30 for a meal for two with the above order, for that reason I don’t think we’ll be coming back. To end on a high note though, the service was very good. Freshly cleaned table, quick to serve, even got a free sauce too ;) Great staff so no complaints there.

Service was great, really polite staff and helpful. The ordering system (QR code) was easy, otherwise you can order at the counter. Food was really quick, piping hot and tasted very fresh!! The wings are 10/10, I find chain restaurants don’t always do great crispy wings but I’ll be craving these soon!!

The staff at Slim Chicken’s Meadowhall were welcoming, helpful and attentive. The food was cooked fresh to order and delicious. However, the nearby noise pollution from the chairs and tables being dragged at the Oasis dining quarters completely ruined the experience and appeared to turn several potential customers away. Such a shame.

Can not believe the level of customer service and quality of food i received when visiting on my first time... when i first went in I was not offered the option for a table, I was told I was to take this away. We then found a table and was told we could not sit down because there was a queue for the tables, we was not told this on entry which angered us as we told them we wanted a table. Me and my friend then ordered for take away as we was told we couldn't have a table. Long story short i ordered a buffalo wrap and chips. After eating this in the oasis court I had found a black hair in my wrap, this ruined both me and my friends meal. When I returned a member of staff saw me complaining and rolled her eyes. It took multiple people to come look at the order before apologising and give me a refund. Stay far clear if i was you!

Great fried chicken. Tenders are Crispy and juicy, wings are barrel only and cooked perfectly. The 5+5 meal is huge and would be fine as a sharer for 2 at lunch. Loads of skin on fries. Not sure why people are so obsessed with the Texas Toast, it's just garlic toast...nice but hardly a signature side. Chicken burger is great, I think they use a boiled dough bun, which gives a really nice texture and flavour. Our meal 5+5, chicken burger meal and 2 bottomless drinks came to £32.50, so it isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny.

I would recommend their tenders, chips and grilled toast. Definitely get the ranch and mayo siracha dips to go with. Mac snd cheese on the other hand lacked flavours and is watery. Service is exceptional and haram meat is kept separately and have confirmed they provide halal chicken but double check. Is on pricier side compared to most of the options in the dining area but i would still recommend:) Tenders- 9/10 Chips - 7/10 Grilled toast- 8/10 Mac n cheese - 1/10

Better quality than KFC, everything is cooked fresh and it is proper chicken too. The choice of sauces are great and the crispy onions are worth a try too.

The place was really busy but we were sat quite quickly. When ordering the food it arrived at our table super fast!! I had the Mac and cheese and I hope this will be an all year round product because I need it on the reg. The only downside was that the coke was a little watery.

I was sat on the bottom floor of the restaurant, theirs is some seats on the right hand side of me on the higher floor. Their was a cleaner cleaning the table on the higher floor, the table was way lower then the partition, so I can’t understand how it happened, squirted my head with cleaner 2 times, I stood up to see where it was coming from and squirted me directly in the face a further 2 more times, I told her and she just shrugged her shoulders. Their is easily 75cm from the top of the table to the top of the partition. Literally can’t understand how she could physically spray me and my food that high. Asked for a manager. Told him what happened. He literally walked to the kitchen and didn’t even go and tell his colleague what she had done wrong. Was hardly sympathetic. Chemicals in my face chemicals in my food and didn’t even offer to replace the food. Not management material at all. Disgusting to say this is an establishment in Meadowhall Sheffield. Will definitely not be visiting again. The food did come out fast tho. That was the only positive.

I payed £12 for this and this is what I got! Wasn’t even nice, the chicken tasted burnt which I’m guessing is because the oil hasn’t been changed. The sauce was disgusting too. Wouldn’t recommend, I was so exited to finally try it and got let down. Go to Popeyes instead!!!

**update**So I went back reluctantly and was disappointed to get cold chicken for the second time. Also the chicken content has reduced. A smaller amount is now used and chopped into very small peices. Not impressed to be honest. The salt level was excessive . Due to falling standards (or a new chef?) this place has gone from my initial 5 to a 1. Can no longer recommend.**** Had a great lunch here (Salad for myself). Cooked to order and tasty. Really quick service. Good prices. Can't complain. The kids enjoyed their chicken and chips (tasty chips and I don't usually like them). Update # Been here a few times now. Quite disappointed with tonight's visit. Family of five and everyone had hot food except myself. Cold chicken, toast and onions. Freezing in fact. I'm guessing mine was left whilst the others got fresh orders. Something went wrong. To be honest it's put me off going back. Didn't enjoy at all.

Oreo milkshake just tastes like vanilla shake . Side portions are small.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I want people to know and make sure slim chickens don’t do this in future. Today at Meadowhall, I saw two of staffs being very rude to one of their male customer.(Meadowhall, Sheffield)

This evening (around 20.10), the male and female employees with glasses were very rude and mocked the customers. I would not recommend anyone to go there....Shame on the rude staffs!!!

We came here for food the two waitresses were really rude. There was one girl in a black T-shirt and a pony tail my friend asked her if they had milkshakes on before she could finish her question she went “no” very bluntly. Another girl who had uniform on and a cap with a long pony tail the two waiters made us feel really uncomfortable as they were laughing at us and laughed at what my friend had ordered. Several dirty looks and just made us feel unwelcome. They were both stood on their phones in-front of customers and making drinks and drinking them on the tills. They were very unprofessional.

Meadowhall (Sheffield) does very rude things to customers, especially glasses wearing female staff today she was working the evening shift.

Work in meadowhall so when got a bit of spare cash I treat myself always get a lovely service I get a takeaway service and the food is top quality the manager is great and all the staff seem happy to be there always a great feeling when visit xxthe only three star for atmosphere is because I never eat in

Such a shame they’ve stopped cooking the wings in the sauce - this was the best chicken place ever, sadly now it’s just dry and plain. Now it’s just an expensive dry version of KFC with some pots of sauce. You really had something great and then I assume to save some money gone and ruined it.

Amazing food, amazing service and experience. Served by Jack, what an absolute gent. You can tell he genuinely likes to make the experience a good one for the customer, none of the fake generic customer service stuff. Thankyou Jack, we will 100% be back!

We had lunch here, it's halal and the service is really fast. You have to pay extra for dips which are not ketchup or mayonnaise but that's expected. Their ranch sauce is delicious, and their milkshakes are nice with fried chicken. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and the cleanliness was on point, plenty of booths (I'd recommend sitting down the steps inside the establishment) as you get more privacy there. Finally, the staff were really courteous checking in on us and offering us assistance should we need it. They have their own toilets inside too which were pretty clean! Would definitely go again!

The chicken was very good and enjoyed but it was extremely overpriced compared to competitors 3 chicken tenders for 5 pound is very pricey and the tenders aren't exactly big compared to kfc or mcdonald's which are major competitors in the chicken business

Lovely fresh food. Unfortunately a few buts.. why so much waste? Paper cups with plastic lids when eating in. Disposable folks, food cartons. Why? We watched the staff empty the bins constantly. WiFi didn’t work and you can only order online! Had to get up and ask someone to take our order. Service seems far too hands off - no call to see how our food was, wasn’t shown to our table. I understand the ‘take out, eat in vibe’ but you still need to look after your customers.

Big fan of the chain but this was a let down. 20+ minute wait for food even when ordering to takeaway and when it arrived the order was wrong! The staff attitude was poor with one member of staff having a frankly bizarre argument with another group who were waiting for their food. To their credit the food is tasty and hot but customer service and efficiency needs some work.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I want people to know and make sure slim chickens don’t do this in future. I recently got very bad food poisoning from the chicken wings here. Which is a shame cause I really enjoyed Slim chickens, previously going to the one in Leeds. However this time round I went with my girlfriend who was absolutely fine and the only thing we had different was the chicken wings, with slim chickens the only thing I had eaten that day. I managed to become and bed bound for 5 days contracting something called Campylobacter. I left 3 feedback forms with various differences to try and alarm Slim chickens of this. With no response. I want people to be aware of this and prevent it from happening to anyone in future. Edit: to follow up from below, even after giving the information requested. I was ignored.

Great food and a good price, pleasant friendly staff, can't do enough for you, clean and a fast service, food was excellent with unlimited drinks, it's a regular haunt if mine now

1st visit, and it was really good, not the largest of portions, but what there was was really good.

Order received with more than half of order included, telephone call to the restaurant advised order was all included and bag sealed. On arrival back open and more than half of order missing.

Absolutely fantastic great fresh food excellent staff very clean place very professional

Horrendous customer service, wasn’tma allowed to sit inside the establishment to eat my food. Was questioned by the manager as to why I wanted to eat inside. The manager was very aggressive towards me and my partner and had a horrible attitude. Not what I wanted when I was simply trying to enjoy a meal out. Wouldn’t even go near the place until either changes are made, or actual customer service training is given.

Chicken was cooked to perfection, great value for money and not all greasy like a KFC.

Absolutely some of the best chicken in Sheffield. Quick service, bottomless drinks. Burgers are sooo good, chicken is crispy, chips are fresh. Best option for chicken in Meadowhall.. even over Nandos!

Meh. Very expensive. 3 wings £3.95. (2 wings at KFC £1.19) Wings were hot (a plus point) but very bland and rather tough. Not returning. PS just an aside, there’s no need to be *quite* so excited that I’m a customer. Just polite, efficient service will do.

Gotta say I’m disappointed… loaded fries lacking toppings/sauce not enough cheese either arrived very slightly warm // won’t be ordering again I’m afraid needs improvement especially when it costs so much
