I recently had the opportunity to eat at Slim Chickens in Birmingham, and I have to say I was very impressed. The chicken is absolutely delicious: crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The sides are also great, especially the fries and Slims sauce. The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. The ambiance was relaxed and pleasant, perfect for a quick and tasty meal. I highly recommend Slim Chickens to all fried chicken lovers. This is by far one of the best fast food joints in Birmingham. 5 well deserved stars!

Don’t go there at any time the staff are rude and there is no where really to eat. I went with me friend and parent my friend as near eaten there before and was looking forward to try is was busy staff running around screaming at everyone and not telling anyone what was happening or how this very small restaurant worked as it was in a train station and not a stand alone store you couldn’t just order a takeaway and seat where Eva you wanted. You was meant to order to seat in and just wait somewhere and wait to get screamed at to seat down no one told us this even though there was lots of staff there someone should of said when you was ordering if you wanted to seat that was what you had to do. So me my friend and my parent had to seat on a bench in the train station with drunk people screaming at everyone. Would near go there again

Absolute shocking. Wouldn't let a single eater sit down. When I told the guy that was outrageous he said that's just the way it is. Might be nice food. But clearly they can't handle the volume of service they're receiving. Dodge them

Food was decent but overpriced at £32 for two adults and a kid's meal, I ordered takeaway as there were no seats at the time as it was really busy. Seats became available while I was waiting for the order, so my wife and child went inside but were told that under no circumstances could we now sit in as we had ordered takeaway. This is pretty bad from a customer service perspective, we've still paid for the food and should be able to sit in if a seat becomes available, it shouldn't make a difference. It's a fast food restaurant, not the Ritz. Shame really as the food was alright, but the guy's attitude and the fact that there are barely any seats nearby meant we had to walk for ten minutes before giving up and sitting on the floor. This also meant that the refillable drinks were no longer refillable as we'd left the premises, and the lack of choice on drinks (diet only) was disappointing and predictable. We won't be eating there again out of principle.

Food was banging but staff are slow in the head don’t get why but apparently if you accidentally click takeaway you cant sit inside even if there are plenty of seats got to use common sense surely ? I know you can’t train it but at least give it a go with them hopefully improve there people skills 👍

slim’s is overrated. there, i said it i had the 7 tender meal with mac and cheese for almost £30. for one damn meal, insane! onto the food itself. the mac and cheese was bland and tasted a bit off. it was perfectly creamy but didn’t taste good. the fries were fine, nothing amazing but not bad.the sauces were AMAZING, i ended up ditching the food and putting chips in the air fryer to eat with the sauces. i got the slim’s sauce and gravy mayo and both were absolutely delicious. the texas toast was an absolute flop for me. maybe in another life it had the potential to be good but mine came charred and black. was shocked they even served it. now onto the tenders.. these tasted really good and the batter was crispy and plentiful. the tenders were small though and the chicken was rubbery in some parts which was off putting. such a shame because that coating was stunning. i ended up picking off the batter and threw away the chicken overall, wouldn’t visit this place again. it wasn’t the worst place i’ve been to but it’s overrated. i’d just buy the sauces and go to wingstop

Visiting from Scotland had to stop at my favourite chicken place as we don't have them here. The mint twirl milkshake is to die for. I ordered sweet chili sauce they gave me inferno omg nearly died.

The caramel hand-spun shake was much better than I expected, but the popcorn hand-spun shake was surreal and spot-on!

The food was delicious, chicken was extremely juicy. Would 100% return. Great sauce options. This place was very busy however we managed to get a seat quickly. Staff were working very hard with the large queue. We managed to get in before they started telling customers to order and wait for a seat and that it was a 15 minute wait. Referencing the other reviews, staff were telling people to order eat in and wait so of course they turned people away when they ordered takeaway. I guess some don’t listen to simple instructions. They were very effective with customer service. Expensive but worth it, Thank you!

Ordered takeaway as there were no spare seats because the place is TINY. A seat then became available as I was collecting the food so we sat down. I was then told because I ordered takeaway I couldn't sit down. I asked if I could pay whatever difference so that we could stay and was told no. What an unnecessary and pedantic policy. Won't bother in future. Chicken doesn't feel cooked anyway.

Bad service, accidentally ordered as take out and they told us to leave. Really rude and disrespectful.

Was recommended to try out this place so decided to.. Ordered a couple of 7 tender meals First of all i noticed the size of the tenders, very small in my opinion After taking the 1st bite, tenders tasted bland and watery to me The sauces are nothing special (slim sauce n cayenne sauce) Also the bread that comes with the meal was very small Had much better similar meals at other places WAY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different but this is my opinion only

Rudely kicked out by a member of staff for accidentally ordering takeaway instead of eat in. Even when the restaurant was empty. Was told to “tell someone who cares” when asked why I couldn’t sit down in the place I had just bought food from.

It's an incredible discovery inside the Bullring. However, today the shopping centre was full of people so the restaurant was very busy as well. As it is a shared space, there was a lot of noise. The staff were very kind and attentive to everyone's needs. Many thanks!

Went for breakfast wasn't expecting it to be so delicious and the shake was so yumm a must try. It's on the station so the options are very nice when you on the go

Came today at 2:40pm the woman with blond hair was serving us our food was very good and proffesional. Had an issue with the burger and she fixed it straight away and gave me extra fries. She was very kind and made me feel safe and valued. Very happy customer. Give her a pay rise 🙌

Chicken burger is on point and their tenders are the best! Would highly recommend getting it with their ranch sauce. Food is always fresh and hot.

Shocking service. No drinks available don’t tell you till after you’ve paid and can’t do a refund. Shocking is all I’ll say never go there. The food was cold too with no apology at all.

Great food but terrible staff. The first time I came here, they forgot part of my order. Recently I went to order, only for the staff to have closed everything, despite still being there and it being two hours before the listed closing time. On one occasion I made an order on deliveroo, only for the restaurant to decline said order after I had paid.

Tried to buy the plant based burger meal today. Was told it wasn’t vegan, that’s fine but when I asked what wasn’t vegan in the plant-base burger I was told to look in the website. My son had already bought his meal but they don’t permit you to buy a meal elsewhere and eat it in their seating area so we ended up at separate vendors. Plant-based means made of plants which is almost always vegan but apparently nit here. Please label it vegetarian so it’s clear you don’t offer anything for people who follow a vegan lifestyle.

Plant based foodies beware! Had the plant based buffalo burger and it was gross! Tasted of fish and when I asked the manager, she agreed and said - " the coating and mixture, does somthing funny and gives it that taste" 🤔 I said it should be stated on the menu if you know it taste like fish, of which she "will take my advice and feedback", although not sure who too, with no real apology or, offer of compensation given. I will normally eat almost anything, but this was just not edible. I reccomend giving this item a miss and going else where if your a vegetarian.

Really quick service, we waited less then 5 minutes for our food which was brought to the table. Friendly staff and amazing food with over 15 dips to try. Definitely recommend!!

Honestly the food we ordered was amazing. Serivce from all team members was fantastic but most of all a Big Thank You to Austin who went above and beyond to make us feel valued and appreciated. Ordered via Uber Eats which is where the issue lies. But called store and was sorted directly instead of being passed around. So thank you very much guys. Would definitely recommend.

The food was ok but the lady at the till calling out all the order numbers was very rude and had no manners she told me and my cousins multiple times to move out of the way although she was in the way and proceeded to give us dirty looks for no apparent reason she was also on her phone whilst telling us to move as I walked past her I saw that she was on Facebook doing nothing not paying attention to her job and not paying attention to her manners towards customers

The service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed. It's clear that they use fresh, high-quality ingredients in their dishes.

The best chicken I ever had in Birmingham, never expected it would be so juicy and crispy!

Second time trying. Got the 3 Piece tenders meal for 9.95. In all honesty I think it was worth 6.95 and it would have got a very different review if it was that price. The price also sky rockets if you want to try different flavours/items. So it's a little on the expensive side. Judging on the price charged, the tenders taste a good bit better than frozen chicken cooked in the oven at home but nothing extraordinary - it won't be better than your favourite local chicken shop (support local business!). Quality was disappointing as my chicken was watery. Not a deal breaker though. It's on the more acceptable side of watery chicken. Unfortunately, without buying a separate portion they also don't let you go half and half or different flavours for wings or tenders (e.g on 3 for 3 wings & tenders meal) - pretty major miss of an opportunity there. Otherwise the customer service was good and very friendly (at least the second time I went, not as much the first). Plenty of dips, charging ports and good seating. Fries fresh and decent. Refillable drinks. Texas toast is good. Ketchup free. Fast service.

Such a bad experience from Slim Chickens ordered through deliveroo, the chicken wings meal, the burger meal and tenders, burger and tenders were ok but the wings really made feel sick, they were watery and raw and bloody from the inside, had an off smell to them. Really disappointed

The warm southern hospitality and fresh chicken has transferred very well to sunny Birmingham, UK. Should you find yourself wanting to fire hot chicken tenders into your face at a train station I believe this to be without equal.

Came to slim chicken for dinner, it was delish! We had a chicken burger and a 5 and 5 meal and was great and came super quick. Our server Carmen was very polite, energetic and offered a great service. Would recommend for a tasty meal that doesn’t break the bank.

There’s not many places to go for a decent chicken burger, and this is one of the best around; I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and efficiently I was served by the polite staff; this is true from ordering to receiving food. The food is great value for the quality and quantity and bottomless soft drinks come as standard as part of meals. There’s a great selection of sauces on offer. I opted to try the BBQ Honey Chicken Burger, nice that it comes with grated cheese opposed to American cheese slices, overall it was a decent burger which I enjoyed. Bit limited on seating space. Edit: - Added extra photos due to subsequent visits - Would advise downloading the app as the rewards are excellent!

My favourite spot in Grand Central. The food arrived within minutes of ordering; as always it was fresh, hot and tasty. All the staff are always very friendly, great service everytime. Will be back again for sure.
