Slate & Grain Coffee Lounge at Button House in Sutton

My recent visit to Rishi’s in Slate & Grain was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. Spotless place with an atmosphere was charming and inviting, creating the perfect ambiance for a memorable meal. Ideal for dine in for two or a lively gathering with family or friends, it offers a welcoming environment that caters to every occasion. Excellent service! The efficient staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience.

Had a great Sunday lunch here for Mother’s Day. Decided to go back to try some Indian cuisine and was not disappointed. I went for the paneer curry, which I’ve never tried before. It was excellent. So much flavour!

Booked for a family dinner and the food was really enjoyable. The chef, Harish was fantastic as was the service.

I have attended here many times, both for parties and to dine with my family. There is a lovely private dining area, Which can be rented out to host parties or private dining for groups. The chef was great in working with us to select a menu that would please everybody! Food is reasonably priced and authentic. Will definitely return!

The staff a very pleasant, but extremely disorganised and don’t appear to have any restaurant experience. We had booked a table, but when we arrived the restaurant was full and we had to wait half an hour for a table. Apparently our table had been given to another party. We had an hour wait for our food and when it arrived the chicken was not cooked and had to be sent back. The vegetarian nut roast was nice, but the vegetables were cold and they forgot the gravy. It was not a pleasant experience and I would not go back.

What a wonderful little gem this new local restaurant is. My friend and I went for dinner last night and tried one of the set dinner menus. It was a real treat and also very well priced. The restaurant, on the first floor of the building, is lovely and contemporary with tastful modern decoration. They served a lovely Indian meal and after chatting to the chef at the end of the meal to compliment him on the lovely food, discovered they are also doing Sunday roasts and soon, an Italian selection. Can't wait to come back again.

We have been here a few times as couples and with the family. It has always been amazing. The food is delicious, lovely flavours, well presented and top quality. The staff are really nice and attentive. The service is great. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed and inviting. I would highly recommend Slate & Grain on every aspect of dining.

Indian food with quality ingredients - top favours. We enjoyed it and we will be back for more. Restaurant is 1st floor of an apartment building so difficult to see from the street.

First time for us and the tastes just delicious!

Proper authentic Indian cuisine, something that's hard to come across in this area with such quality! The chef and front of house staff are so attentive and kind! I urge you to try it!

We had a great first meal here, the food is really flavourful, with a great menu of options, and the service was very friendly. It was also nice that the Chef took the time to come and chat to us. We wish this new local establishment the very best and hope local people will support.

I had an outstanding dining experience! The chicken biryani was flavorful, the palak patta chat was a delightful twist, and the pani puri was a burst of flavors. The prawns, samosa chat, chicken curry, and lamb curry were all exceptional. The diverse menu showcased the chef's Harish and his team anosha,radha,sheriya expertise. Moreover, the service was commendable, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal. Highly recommended!

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant! The butter chicken was incredibly flavorful, the palak patta chat was a delightful surprise, and the lamb curry was rich and aromatic. The bang bang cauliflower added a unique twist, and the butter naan was the perfect accompaniment. The pani puri was a burst of flavors. The beautiful sitting area enhanced the overall ambiance. I highly recommend this place to everyone, it's a culinary delight with a fantastic atmosphere!

Amazing place! I had a pleasure to take part in a business meeting, training and lunch for over 60 people there last week and everything was perfect! We have been taken care of from morning till late evening. Very nice staff and excellent service. They prepared for us the meeting room, the dining area and even beautiful terrace. Our every request was answered. Love it there! I am more than happy to recommend this venue for variety of events from business meetings to private gatherings.

The place is simply special. The staff performed beyond my expectations on our business meeting, training and dinner for 12 people. We have been taken care of the whole day by two members of staff who were more than happy to help with various needs we might possibly have for the whole day. They prepared meeting room, dining room, with very high standards and amazing beautiful interiors, not mentioned about delisious food!! We have been treated like VIP's for the whole day. The owners are very cooperative and I am happy to recommend this venue for variety of events from business meetings to privet gathering. There is also huge terrace with tables so you can use it as well! Thsnk you so much!

Popped in last week had a smoked salmon panini it was out of this world definitely will be returning gonna spread the word

Very poor, didn't get what we asked for, panini came as a baguette which was clearly microwaved as the mozzarella had turned to water, inedible, sister asked for brown bread & was given white, salad was brown, no glass provided for our water, wanted to complain but the guy had disappeared! I give it zero stars! £15 for 2 people total rip off.

New contemporary licenced restaurant, situated on first floor of Button House, access via the main reception entrance. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
