Absolutely loved this place. Didnt realise it was a stall inside Society. Burger flavour was spot on, bacon was crisp to perfection, if you're hungry - do get the patty. If I could be picky, only thing I'd ask for is REALLY spicy condiment, but thats the same as anywhere 🤷🏻‍♂️

Poor service, lady behind the bar abrupt and unhelpful.

Never seen worth £15 for a burger, you can get a burger from Doug’s on Sundays for £2 which has more meat on it. Greatly disappointed

Possibly the best veggie burger I’ve had in the whole of the UK, will definitely be back, so many options for veggie/vegan and meat eaters.

Delicious! Sun was shining, had loaded fries and great company.

Really delicious food, had 2 burgers and fries (1 chicken kieve fries, 1 plain) and teriyaki wings. Fries were pretty dry. It did come to £52 (with 10% tip) though which honestly was pretty pricy. Wish you could get the burger on its own because we couldn't eat the fries! Will visit again regardless, not sure we'd bother paying an extra £4 to make the fries loaded again.

Regularly order from the delivery services for here. Very very tasty food with regular new additions to the menu... and absolutely obsessed with the Chiven Kyiv fries and the onion rings.

Called in at slap and pickle at society in Manchester, first time, had smoking bun and buffalo bun with side of onion rings, food was excellent, juicy burgers and loads of fries, maybe too many, we couldn’t finish both portions, onion rings are something else, really enjoyed the food

Food took ages even though it was quiet and when it did the burger was okay but the fries were luke warm at best. I've ordered from here in the past and to be fair, the food and service was spot on, so it's a shame that it wasn't their best effort.

My daughter said the fries were "very flavourful" and the right amount.

Top tier Crimbo burger! I love trying out festive special burgers and the offering from S&P was one of the quirkiest I've come across but also one of the most enjoyable. The patties were cooked nicely and tasted great. The addition of the Christmas pudding really worked wonders. The sweetness complimented the saltiness from the meat (and the load of pickles too). Extra sweetness from the cranberry too. A proper festive treat! I had roasties on the side but despite being crispy they were cheap frozen potatoes and very dry. Some gravy might have saved them but £2.75 is a bit much to charge really... I was only after the burger anyway though so that didn't spoil my experience.

Nick was great. Brilliant smash burgers, great nicely cut chips and affordable. Would recommend!

Great food, and a lot of other small kitchens at the same spot. Might be a bit noisy and the seating is somewhat rough, but all in all a great place for a fast snack.

Food was amazing atmosphere was amazing but took an hour from order to receiving the food. It’s clear the ordering system is not fully working as the food ordered by different times by different people are being sent randomly so people ordering later getting it first, please fix that, food is perfect

Burger is always really good, cater really well for gluten free, eaten there a number of times without any issues! Staff are amazing.

Left it to have a burger after a few drinks.. but every single address for this place sends you to a commercial building could not find it after a hour and a half searching. Sort your location settings out lads.

I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered gluten-free food due to dietary restrictions, but it seemed there was cross-contamination with non-gluten-free items. I noticed the staff handling food without gloves, which raised concerns about proper food safety practices. As a result, I ended up with a stomach pain, which was quite unsettling and indicated a lack of care for dietary requirements. Additionally, I felt the prices were higher than expected, especially as a non-local. It seemed like I was being charged a premium for the experience, which added to my disappointment. I hope they can improve their handling procedures and pricing transparency to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all diners

Garlic chicken fries were incredible - and the venue @ society has a great vibe 10/10 would go again

For the price you pay, I was expecting a lot more. The chips were like those you get from a Burger Van and though the burger was nice, it was super salty. There was lots of places to sit though and the staff were incredibly proficient.

Cool place. Bar staff really nice. Beers great. BUT totally let down with a below average burgers and chips. Over £40 for two burgers and chips, one without a bun and the other a veggie. Really sorry, but the beef burger was totally average. Nothing special at all and the fries were clearly basic. Not even seasoned correctly. Food way overpriced and not worth it. Great beer venue but burger street food poor.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Went peak summer with the euros on and the big screen TV. You can either order from the table using your phone or go up and go up.

Was absolutely let down with my food it was cold the chips looked like something I used to get served by my dinner lady and the burger was nothing special the atmosphere was the best part.

The food here is so tasty! I salivate just thinking about the Buffalo BBQ tenders. The big Mac fries are a generous portion and super tasty!

Wow. The only thing that slaps here is your face as you get charged £15 for a burger and chips that is well, well, well below average. I had a pretty terrible "Winner Winner" (chicken) burger that doesn't even stack up to a McDonald's basic. I'm devastated I didn't get a photo of the food to illustrate to any potential victims of this place what it actually looks like. Extremely creative on the menu photos to say the least. To be honest some of the other reviews show decent looking beef-based burgers but the chicken is pathetic.

Hands down one of the best smash burgers in Manchester. The simple, no-nonsense Oklahoma smash was a great representation of my favourite style of burger. Staff were also super friendly and happy to have a chat about the different food options. Overall lovely experience, would recommend.

Loved it here. Have been to most of the outlets in West Yorkshire which are all fab. The Lancashire venue didn’t disappoint! Really nice venue too (vocation brewery I think?) with great atmosphere and easy ordering system without leaving your table

These burgers absolutely smash it out of the park - probably one of the best I've had in Manchester. Fries are decent, although can get a bit soggy from the sauces. I'd probably just stick to plain chips with a side of sauce. Other reviews say the service was slow, but this really wasn't a problem for us. Even with the place rammed full

Had the hey hot stuff burger, it was 10/10 and the fries were arguably the best I’ve had. Visually the burger was like the burgers from the viral craze when influencers film themselves buying and eating. Asked for the hey hot stuff burger extra hot, the guy went over an above and made me my own personal hot sauce with fresh chili and peppers in, great service great burger.

absolutely horrendous burger, dry, overcooked, and the sauce? which sauce? where is it I couldn’t see the sauce… Also I think someone actually did drop the salt can in my burger.. same with the chips. Literally burnt my throat trying to eat this thing. Five guys is the same theme as this place and I would prefer that any time over this. Will I ever come again, no way…….

The place is really cool. But the food! The burger was perfectly cooked and had wonderful crispy edges. The toppings were exactly what I wanted. And they have scoop chips, perfect for saucing. Overall 10/10

The best vegetarian burger I’ve had in ages; absolutely delicious. Service was quick and sauces are free. Pretty pricey but so nice I forgot about that pretty fast.

Really (really) good burgers. I ordered the Moo x Too with cheese and the Big Mick Fries. It was all delicious but it you’re getting a burger maybe choose a different loaded fries as it’s a lot of burger to get through. All tasted amazing and burgers were juicy!

Sharer fries contains very little for a "sharer" portion and costing 8 pounds not many at all

That’s £14.50 for a burger What a nightmare this place is. It’s located in one of them QR code prisons where lots of other food shops line the edges and you order through your phone while sitting on a bench in a crowded, noisy and dimly lit room. No I don’t want to pay £14.50 to be stuck in this hell and that’s the cheapest option before the upsell. My sister paid £18+ for a bunless burger and a drink. (Outdoor seating is available but it’s still a horrible experience) If you’re happy to be human livestock and live out your Guantanamo bay fantasy then this is the place for you

Had the Han Solo and the Smokey one, both had fries included, costing £28. The burgers were well seasoned but a bit thin, no bigger than a McDonalds patty. Very little filling in the buns, quite pathetic looking/feeling. The fries were like the last chips available from a chippy, sort of flat and scrawny but with no crunch. Sauces are available but they aren’t advertised, they come in sad sachets. No napkins provided or seemingly visible on their counter. The place was half empty but the tables with benches hadn’t been wiped for some time. They messed up our order somehow, though they were not busy at all - the serving staff were pleasant though. Overall, very disappointed as well left hungry and unfulfilled. Definitely not worth the cost.

Food quality was fantastic here, great taste and super hot when it arrived. Only negative is it took a little while to arrive, but they were very busy at the time.

Cracking burger at what a pickle. We got the personal cheesus with some hot stuff fries. The burger was awesome, the meat really complimented the lettuce / pickles / sauces. Vocation beers on tap at within society as well - highly recommend!

Amazing burger, vegan options age awesome. Had the vegan hot and spicy and the hot and spicy fries. Partner had the baconaser and he loved it. As a vegan that is one of the best if not THE best vegan burger I've had. The gift that kept on giving. Made my day. If you are in Manchester you need to head to society to. Way way overpriced for what we got. I had the Winner Winner Burger and Cheese & Bacon fries. The burger was about the same quality as a bog standard KFC and the chips were so soggy from far too much cheese sauce. Also the Biscoff Cheesecake had no Biscoff flavouring. Altogether this cost me about £30 which is a lot for what is basically burger and chips! I’ve been here a couple of times before and it was pretty good but this was a massive disappointment. I’ll just order KFC next time..

Fantastic burgers and would highly recommend!

£45 spend on warmed up Iceland £1 finest.. Soggy, undercooked chips and £6 for onion rings which looked like half frozen anaemic elastic bands. Gravy looked like a jar of Pepsi. Was hyped up for this after seeing the reviews. Only positive we can take were the cans of coke, which were actually cheaper in one of the other stalls by 50p 🤣

Used to come quite regularly but I haven’t been in about 6 months and it was amazing. Food was 1000000/10 will definitely be bringing the rest of my friends !

Unbelievably good! Got the train down from Scotland to the office in Manchester and randomly came across this place while googling restaurants. Best decision I have ever made! Spicy double burger was so tasty and the buffalo wings are to die for. The guy cooking/serving was so lovely and friendly. I won't be going anywhere else when I come down from now on.

Completely missed part of our order, rang the restaurant to ask for it to be sent out and was told there was nothing they could do, despite confirming it was their mistake and they had missed some of the order. Refused to send the missing order out to us. No compensation offered. Absolutely shocking customer service. Do not order from here, avoid at all costs

Went here for my mates stag do ,Food was lovely, but customer service was very poor and I was very disgusted on the way Me and my friends were treat and felt very uncomfortable every time this person from slap and pickle was walking past our table or if we were going to the toilet made us very uncomfortable.

Got a Cheeseburger and regular fries at Society, burger was simple, well made and tasty ingredients, exactly how a regular cheeseburger should be, nothing dramatic, not trying too hard to be gourmet, just a proper burger. Really enjoyed the burger, can't fault it at all. Fries were great too, not like regular fries, they look like they're shredded, nicely seasoned and crispy, spot on.

Ordered a day in advance and they cancelled twice on us. Sure the food may be good, but very frustrating when businesses accept orders they can't fulfill. We ordered in the afternoon for the following day, so plenty of time to cancel by the end of their working day if they weren't going to be able to fulfill our order when they opened the following day - giving us time to sort out alternative lunch as well.

Very friendly staff and one of the best burgers I have tried ever. Don't miss the fries either. Totally recommended!
