Decent pints in NQ showing the football. A good range but felt like there was something missing. No real complaints though!

Awful food! We were sat right near the kitchen and they had bags of Tesco own frozen chips on the side! Food was not great at all!! You could tell it was frozen burgers, frozen chips! Certainly not ‘restaurant cooked’ food ! So don’t expect anything special at all !

Lovely place with relaxed soul music. Came on the day of Manchester half marathon just after event. It was empty 😁 Had hotdogs - german bratwurst was good, veggie one was a bit dry. I would prefer a shroom kitchen sausage instead. Would have liked to have an option for a different side - some salad instead of chips.

I recently visited Tibs Tavern Pub with my parents after purchasing a Groupon deal for a meal for four, which included burgers, fries, and beer for each of us. Despite living in London, we decided to make the trip to Tibs for a special evening during our 3 day trip to Manchester, only to encounter some challenges that detracted from our overall experience. Prior to our visit, I contacted Tibs Tavern to inquire about making a reservation, as recommended by the Groupon voucher. Initially, I was informed that no reservation was necessary. However, upon calling again closer to our visit, I learned that the pub would be closed on Monday and open from 4pm onwards on Tuesday. With this information in mind, we arrived at Tibs around 7pm on Tuesday, eager to enjoy our meal. As Wednesday afternoon was our return date back to London. Upon entering the pub, we were disappointed to find it crowded with boisterous patrons, creating an atmosphere that was not conducive to a pleasant dining experience for my elderly parents. Despite our best efforts to find a suitable space, the pub was packed on all floors, with most customers engrossed in watching football matches on TV. After a series of unsuccessful attempts to locate a comfortable dining area, I approached a staff member near the bar for assistance. (Guy about 30yrs old) Regrettably, his response was dismissive and unhelpful, simply pointing + directing me to yet another packed floor without offering any real solution to our predicament. I came back downstairs to the 2nd floor where he responded by saying "well I can't make a space appear for you" the tone wasn't necessary considering I wasn't rude before or after our exchange, in fact that was all the words he spoke to me, the rest was just him on his phone and pointing for me to try upstairs. Luckily my parents didn't have to see this as it would have angered them too. Feeling overlooked and undervalued as customers, we made the difficult decision to leave Tibs Tavern without being able to enjoy our meal. It was evident that the staff's attention was primarily focused on serving the male clientele, particularly those interested in watching football matches. While the pub may appeal to football enthusiasts and individuals seeking a lively atmosphere, it is not recommended for those looking for a more relaxed and accommodating dining experience, especially when visiting with elderly family members. I did have a brief interaction with a more understanding and apologetic individual (mid 40s), whom I believe may have been the manager. It was unfortunate that the same level of understanding and customer service was not reflected by the staff members on the middle floor during our visit. In conclusion, while Tibs Tavern Pub may cater to a specific demographic, it fell short in providing a welcoming and customer-centric experience for us. I hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement in customer service and overall customer satisfaction at Tibs Tavern. We paid for a taxi to get from the hotel, we tried twice to actually book a table to avoid such a situation, and then was met with a packed out pub with not a single available seat and a rude male who just didn't have an ounce of care. Got a refund for Groupon (as credits) and went for a kebab 1/4 of the price. Ashame about the taxi money and waste of our time though. The worst was the I felt embarrassed towards my parents as I was the one who organized it, and felt sorry that we relied on Tibs to provide a table for us on our last night in Manchester.

First time visiting, went in for the football - which is great to watch in there with plenty of TV's. However my experience was unfortunately ruined by an extremely rude member of bar staff, who went on to falsely accuse me of calling her a rude word and used this as a basis for kicking me out... I left calmly and then the doorman went on to say "how embarrassing it was to be kicked out by a woman", which I didn't find appropriate at all. All in all it's a good pub with very weird staff - wouldn't return.

This was our first visit to this northern quarter pub for awhile and it won't be so long before we go back. It is a friendly place with a lot going for it. One thing that we weren't that keen on is that there are televisions on every wall, and you find your eyes drawn to them, even if you don't want to. Other than this, it is a laid-back Place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. We hadn't realised, but we had arrived at happy hour, which allows all beers to be sold at £4. This is great for the city centre and we would take advantage of it again.

Nice sports bar but the bouncer ruined the night. We booked a booth for 7 but turned up with 6. The 7th of our party turned up 45 mins later having previously been at a BBQ and was refused entry. I spoke to the bar staff to assist who went to speak to the bouncer and the was still refused entry. The 7th of our party had not been drinking but was simply refused entry out of principle of us not telling him he was going to be late. The bar staff did not interject into the situation although she could tell that it was unnecessary. The bouncer was incredibly rude and clearly on some sort of power trip. I was perfectly polite and was approached with aggression to the point I thought I was going to be thrown out. Real shame which ruined what was set to be a memorable evening.

Went to there to watch football. Nice big screens for that. At the end of the game we were discussing making a return trip for another match coming up. We asked a member of staff about food options etc. The same member of staff then told us we would have to leave unless we ordered more drinks. We'd only finished the last round a few minutes before and the game had just ended. None of us were drunk or causing a disturbance. The place was nearly empty, no one waiting to be seated. It just seemed like he didn't want us there. It's a shame as we were planning to come back and hopefully be regular visitors, buy more drinks and food etc but now will find somewhere else.

Third attempt of a visit here. First time they were “full”. Second time I got in, and it was a very nice experience, though the brew selection isn’t ideal. Fun experience to watch a City match! Third visit today and I wasn’t let in as I was wearing rain pants on a rainy day! Wtf there is a dress code at 2pm on a Sunday is beyond me, but that’s ridiculous! It’s not a fashion show, I’m buying pints to watch a football match. Go to Pie & Ale instead (just around the corner)! Much better brew selection with projection screens instead of teeny tiny TVs!

We came to the Tib Street Tavern to enjoy food, to be rudely told by the manger Sam that our voucher is not valid. His reason was the price of food has increased and they were unwilling to honour the Groupon we had bought. I tried to reason with and get an agreement to add extra to the cheeper burger but he refused. He then insisted that the problem lay with Groupon and not the Tavern, this offer is still being sold on Groupon today 01/02/2023 @ 7pm. His words were it’s not my problem

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.
