Slam in Birmingham

absolutely horrendous customer service from a employee, told me to “get out his shop” very highly doubt it that it was his, he was so rude to my son, i refused my order and gladly so happy that i did not pay for the food. He told my son to pick up a piece of paper from behind the counter which he was playing with, told him “Do you want to pick that up now!” i jumped to my sons defence and said “do not think it is ok to speak to my son like that” he then said i was rude and walked off. Had blatant disregard that a child is not covered under insurance to be being the counter, he cost the company £60 worth of food (no doubt that the business will continue to lose out with him there), this certain employee (who refused to give his name) was absolutely disgusting. Will never visit this place until he is removed.

I've had takeaways before from Slamburger which I've previously enjoyed over Mak-Halal, for example, which is now absolutely abysmal; so as we were in the area, I thought I'd take my family for a quick meal. Unfortunately on this occasion, I wish we had gone elsewhere... The food was only partly responsible for the 2-stars. It's not that I didn't enjoy my slam burger and my cheeseburger classic, the cost was almost £10/head for nothing extravagant or fancy. Furthermore, one of the burgers had a hair sticking out it, which luckily, my daughter spotted before taking a bite. They did replace it with a fresh one, but still... Yuck! Also, as we were eating our meals, we were approached by two children wearing grey Oodies (which we also later noticed were wearing Nikes) both came in from outside begging for food, which I bought for them out of guilt. Talk about making you feel uneasy trying to eat your meal while constantly being watched, so we didn't finish our meals and took them home instead. Staff are friendly and polite; however, I think it's going to be a while before we visit Slamburger again to be honest...

Generally come here for take outs. However, on this occasion, having ordered for collection ticket Number 35 on the 20/02/23. I was flabbergasted to find half way through my smash burger. I found what looked like a piece of someone's finger nail, upon seeing this I pulled it out. To the touch it was hard and I can confirm that it was someone's finger nail. Immediately I phoned slam burger, the iwas passed the phone 2 different people. Eventually having got through the manager. I explained my ordeal that I just faced. I was told they could refund, whilst my concerns was not regarding a refund. My question was how on earth does a nail end up in a smash burger. However I was getting no where and ended the call. Please be careful, as food outlets they have a duty of care even an after service ensuring that the food is to a level of standard. I can honestly say I will never be going back to a slam burgers ladypool Road absolutely disgusting.

Me and the MISSUS were like 'awww let's get a takeaway and chill out' then she was like 'yeah sound fam'. I'd heard that Slam Burger was like maccies but more experimental with flavours. And we ordered a large amount of food which came to £20.00. It then arrived similar to McDonalds and we opened the bag..... We were presented with 3 burgers the size of smarties. My first thought was 'awwww nahhh this was like 20 quid'. We dug in anyway cus we are fat. The flavours were decent. Very similar to maccies and the meat is Hall which is good for some religions. BUT..... cmon man, no way with £20.00. We were left dissatisfied but were like 'yo.. that Algirian sauce was peng yanno. I tried two different burgers in my local Slam Halal restaurant. I ordred a Big Slam and couldn't believe that it was EXACTLY the same as Macdonalds. I went back the next day and ordered a Slam whopper. Again really pleased that it was like Burger King. I don't know how they do it but would recommend to anyone.

Burger was soggy and hair in it, spoke to manager about this who basically said it happens. No apologies, no replacement meal. Avoid this place at all cost, this is the third time something went wrong with the food, I mean I understand giving people chances but come on 3 times. I will never go back to this place again.

Ordered a grilled chicken burger meal with turkey rashers. The bun and chicken were cooked well and tasted amazing. The temperature wasn't as hot as i would like but still ok. The fries were hot and very tasty.

Buy food they make mistakes you have to pick it up while other food gets cold what a waste of money,bought my son a burger it was over 5 pounds and it was smaller then 99p burger cheats and crap

Had a meal and the burger was below average. Squashed and small and felt like it was from a cheaper 99p meal deal from somewhere but paying so much more here. Won't be going here again.

Second time round some of my order was missing. It’s very disappointing when you’ve been waiting for your food and it arrives with something missing. Ordered through Uber eats who kindly did refund me on the second occasion.

Just visited the new branch in alum rock, and the service was APPALLING. The guy making the food was not wearing gloves, he was constantly touching his face and lips and was handling food without washing his hands. It was HORRID. We asked one of the colleagues to make sure he was handling food with gloves as that’s basic hygiene. But the situation was handled very poorly. I WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN!

I made a order today for grilled chicken Wooper and double beef wooper chicken burger had no seasoning on it, i felt so sick i nearly threw up. Also the prices are way too much. I am shocked they are still running a business. Will never order/go to this place. Very disgusted!!!!

If you want a quick meal you should try this place. Regular visitor of this place. Food is very reasonably priced as well. Quick service and lovely sauces to go with food. Fries can sometimes be cold. Even though there is seating on a busy day seating can be limited. Would recommend

In the Ladypool area I would say arguably this place is best purely for the burgers, decent atmosphere as well; it is not so fancy in terms of seating but if you're out and about with friends I would definitely check this place out.

Dare I say it, this is probably the best place in Birmingham when it comes to burgers. It's not just the vast range of food on offer that sets Slams apart from the rest, but most importantly you can go any time any day and the quality will always be next to perfect - that is a very important factor. You find yourself eating at some places and as time goes on you tend to find that the quality decreases, it's just not the same as it used to be but not at Slams. I definitely recommend the 180 Max meal along side some 7up Mojito to wash all that goodness down! The staff are super friendly the food tastes of great quality and flavour every time. I would most definitely recommend paying this entity a visit.

Went with family as I was invited by slams for a free meal boyyyy was it nice or what? Thank you slam for your generosity my son had the mega slam and was food drunk and my husband couldn't drive home lol a 20 min trip took 40 mins as we was stuffed!

This place "knocks spots off" the large multinational burgers restaurants. I will be visiting here again with friends next time.

If you feel like something similar McDonald's or burger king. This is the halal version. Almost identical but halal. Big menu and now also started doing pizza. They have some crazy burger menu's such as the 360 which are huge, Best to go in to see what I mean . The have their own sauces such as the Algerian sauce which is a craze also tastes very good in the burger. Portions are decent. Tiramisu they sell is also really nice which I tried recently. Seating in have plenty of space. Weekend you will find it very busy. Parking is a slight issue as this whole road is busy.

Three times I have been to this place over the months, twice I had a bad stomach after eating their burger. Will not be going again to this place. Disappointed, I actually liked their burgers.

SLAM Burger is a modern, fresh and clean fast food restaurant with the perk of being halal. The decor is clean and plenty seating for friends and family friendly seating.

I ordered the buffalo ciabatta from the menu as a meal. Firstly, I loved the ciabatta and think it’s an excellent alternative to a burger bun. It was such a substantial amount, as were the fries (definitely a large meal). The contents of the buffalo ciabatta were good. The beef was well cooked and the salad was fresh.

Slam is a great place to grab a burger, they are above averaged price, but I can assure you they are well worth the money. The algeriene sauce is the best sauce to have when dipping it into the fries. The service is great and the people are calm.

Me and a bunch of my pals visited this place and I can say we were pleasantly surprised on what we had discovered we had been looking for a decent burger place that is halal brilliant burgers definitely will be returning

A long awaited visit, the cheeseburgers were tasty but sadly was on the small side . Personally , I think that they could improve on bigger portions as that was my criticism for the meal price . We had pre-ordered our takeaway. Mistakenly we didn't check our order as we were in a rush , only to reach home to discover our drinks were missing. Management were very polite and offered to rectify on our next visit.

Would highly recommend the fillet classic. Always consistent with their food. The fries are crispy and fresh, unlike a lot of fast food places that have soggy fries which let the whole meal down. Great service and friendly staff.

Processed frozen burgers charged at 6 pounds a meal wow These lot making a killing food is awful made mistake thinking its gourmet If you into that type food enjoy but would not recommend this place to proper foody people.

This place has fast service and has been our quick stop to grab a burger a couple of times.

For me you will not beat Slam for a value great tasting burger that will be consistent every single time. This is basically a halal McDonald's and it does not disappoint! My gripe with other fast food burger offerings (even the handmade ones) is the same place can have a burger that tastes different depending on who prepared it. Slam have a system where like the big American chains, you will have consistency.

Had a takeaway from here. Amazing burgers. I had the mix wooper my favourite. And the algerian sauce with fries just top it up. And they do a great 7up Mojito!!!!

Muy buen ambiente. Gran decoración. Asientos también es buena. La comida es comida rápida estilo general, con una gran variedad. El sabor es bueno, no es una especie de cena familiar pijo, pero sin duda vale la pena una visita con amigos. This time it was the second time i have had a burger and fries from this place, my son picked up a take away from here , it was absolutely delicious, and the source is very tasty the meat is very tasty had beef and chicken fillet which was very tasty, so this review is only for the food and not the venue as I haven’t been or seen the place

This place is a total rip off. The burgers taste bland and are way too overpriced, The service is the worst ever. I walked in and had to wait 10 minutes to be served by a guy who could only speak French. I asked for the deal but could not have the burgers I wanted. It turned out that if I ordered the ones available I would pay more than if ordered individually. When I mentioned this to the clueless guy who was serving me he ignored me and served the customers behind me . I am definitely not visiting again and would recommend for people not to visit here, There are far better alternatives.

Took the family to slams. Great choice on menu, remarkably like Macdonalds and burger king. I was hoping they did a fish-o-fillet. Great experience. However place was full of young males, no family cubicles as advertised? Seriously tasty burgers - worth a try. Who needs Dubai clones when you have slams in Bham! Defo need to visit soon. Parking is hard around that area btw, hard to park a long way from the shop.

Came here after a horrible experience at another restaurant on the same road. The burger took ages to arrive and was pretty good once it did. The patty was well seasoned and moist. The bun and the condiments complemented the patty well. An high end version of Burger King.

Heard some very good reviews about this place. And was taken by a friend there. I dont like noice burger joints, but he was paying so.... Anyway was a bit disappointed with the food quality. It was average, but priced like it was some Artisan cuisines! Serioulsy 5 quid for burger and chips, save yourself money and go get the 2.50 one and a drink too. Ok this food is a little better, but definitely not worth over 100%of the price!

Have visited several times in the last 18 months.This specific review is for a visit on May 19th 2017.Visited as a group of 4.Had a selection of meat burgers (whoopers, big slams and such like).The 'Whoopers' taste and appearance is (IMO) about 80% authentic Burger King Whopper. They sell a number of different types of Whoopers.The Big Slam, is the best thing here. It is (IMO) 95% authentic McDonalds Big Mac.The food tastes fantastic.The prices are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Service is guaranteed to be slow. Probably because they cook everything to order. This is both good and bad (sometimes you are in a rush).The review further down where someone claims a triple cheese burger to be £6 and smaller than a regular cheeseburger elsewhere is clearly talking nonsense, so please ignore that review as it is factually incorrect.For ladies/family with kids, please note this place is usually filled with noisy young men in the evenings. They are generally harmless (just loud and full of 'banter') but it can be off-putting for some.Despite the issues with speed of service, and (IMO) pretty awful ketchup, plus their tendency to give you exactly one serviette per person, I will still award this five stars as there is nothing else that I've come across in this country that compares.

I love this place as they offer halal food that its exactly like McDonalds and Burger king! what tops it off is there special Cheesy spice sauce that you get in little tubs as complimentary - I can't get enough of it! They have extended the place now so there plenty of room for people to sit however its so busy, you'll have to get lucky!Price is not bad.

came to slams having being a regular at the old branch in smallheath.Prices are way to high for what your getting, firstly the cheese burgers are not even fresh beef. £6 for a tripple cheese burger which is smaller then a regular cheese burger from regular takeaways. personally i dont think this is worth £6 alone, I rather spend £6 on a fresh beef burger.Go up the road slightly and you get more for your money.Taste is average nothing special apart from the special Algerian sauce, which they also skimped on.

We love this place! The burgers are always good and the food is reasonable. Fast service and the guys are really friendly. They have recently added the family room which makes it easier for us to take out kids to eat here.

Decided to try this place. Ordered takeaway as the place looked small from outside. It is actually small so wouldn't recommend sitting for families. Guys were friendly, burgers not too expensive and quite good. Good choice for a quick take away.

Ive heard a lot about this place and finally managed to came down. Tried their double wooper burger, it was the nicest burger I've had in years.

I'm here at the moment with the kids. Got to say great burgers, quick service today other times its taken longer but the foods always good. Place is a bit small but they are extending the restaurant area. Recommended if your a burger fan.

Fantastic burgers and patties. Food takes a while to arrive once you order but if you want quality food then you have to wait. Love their unique sauce/dip aswell.

The place is great because it specialises in burgers. ..no additional doner kebab or random pizzas options. ..just burgers and they are really good burgers with a different options on the type of bread and bun or wrap. ..Portion sizes are very good and service is generally quick and dont forget to ask for the algerriene (??) sauce.Only downside is the seating which is in short supply.. and wouldn't be a problem if I lived locally

Would highly reccommed the 360degree burgers , gigantic burgers for great value. You can walk in and have a more than filling meal for £10. Located in ladypool road , great for lunch and walk in meals.

Nothing amazing or special. Everything to a fair standard. Decent range of burgers and some pretty hefty ones with 4 patties in. Didn't get any wow factor from it, considering that this is solely a burger place that is disappointing.

Although the environment is more like a take out style, quick munch and off you go the food was great. Everything on the menu looked fab. Went for the double whopper with fresh toppings. That's what I loved about this place the most. The toppings are as fresh as the patty which isn't the case in majority of the take outs and we are all victims of this! So that was a double plus!!But honestly the price was unbelievable under £12 for two people and it filled us up to satisfaction. Would definitely recommend this place 100%

Having tried a wide variety of burgers from many different restaurants I must say that this place had some very exceptional burgers.i had the double "wooper" burger which is effectively a double cheese burger, there is an option for a single, double and triple, not only that but you can mix the patties and have one beef and one chicken if you so choose.The burgers are flavorsome fresh and not dry, the sauces and toppings are just as important with lettuce, pickles, tomato and onions topped offf with the melted cheese slice, the sauces that accompany the fries is great too some sort of Belgian mayo.I would highly recommend to all it is most definitely a must try for any burger lovers

Burgers were very nice. Not your everyday local burgers. The patty is nice, thick and succulent. The sources with it was really nice too. Only bad part was not much of an environment when sitting down and eating in, just the sound of people eating and quiet chitter chatter. Other then that food was good

Nice to have somewhere different in this area of Birmingham which isn't your typical pakistani food. Place is clean and staff are pleasant. Prices are good and the food is great! I would deffo recommend a visit to anyone in the area. I just hope it doesn't become run down like other food places nearby.

Just happen to walk passed here so we went in and the place is a bit cramped with table and chairs just about got through with my son's wheelchair. A few people in the place and a few waiting for takeout so it looked promising - the menu is burgers and fries but with a gourmet touch - considering the name and décor they are obviously trying to attract a young customer and I have to say the reception we got was dry and drab - ordered and the food was no more than 5 mins, it was presented American style which was nice and the food was ok. My only criticism is the guys serving don't conversate with you, there is no atmosphere in the place........
