View is beautiful and the cocktails, while expensive, were nice. The food was inedible and we left it - chicken satay had no peanuts and the prawn tempura was smothered in ketchup. Gross.

I'm very disappointed with this place. I come with my friend to celebrate her birthday and was very disappointed, because I was scammed by this place. We order the food to share and on the the company website was advertised its food to share between two people it's £60.00. We get just few snacks and jar cocktail just water: ( and end up paying £138.00, because they told this deal for two people and everyone needs to pay £60.00 and extra service charge £18.00. Please avoid the place, because it's scammers, one advertising and in reality it's different. The staff was not very polite and when I showed what it's advertised on the company website. They can't explain about this misleading information.

Don't come for food. Food is bang below average honestly. If I paid 10 pounds each for the dish I still wouldn't think it was worth it. If you're coming for the views then yes sure but you have other options for free to do that. But yes this allows you a nice table and sitting with the view.

Our booking was cancelled by the sky lounge team and we spent 3 days going around in circles via email trying to reschedule before giving up completely. This was not a complicated task and the service experience was substandard for Shangri-La. As a past guest and SRL fan, this was disappointing.

The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful! The food and service were anything but great. Got seated before our scheduled reservation time which was nice. We quickly ordered drinks then the couple in front of us with the better view left so we were asked if we wanted to move up. We said “absolutely”! Once we moved tables we sat for about a half hour ravenously picking on the nuts and olives they give you before I had to flag down a server to take our order. Our food then came, my boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich which he said was decent. My salmon was the problem. Upon ordering, my boyfriend and I had asked the waiter his recommendation. I was between a few dishes and the waiter recommended the salmon to me. My salmon came and you could smell the fishiness immediately. I went to dig in with my fork (because usually you don’t need a knife to cut a well cooked piece of salmon) and I couldn’t even get my fork through the fish. One taste and all I had was a fishy taste in my mouth. The salmon was fishy and overcooked. The waiter never came back to ask how our meal was and I didn’t know what to do, I was starving so I ate most of it. After another half hour I flagged the waiter down AGAIN to tell him my fish was fishy and overcooked. He said “let me talk to my manager.” And “Is this the first time you’re complaining about this?” yes, it was the first time because I couldn’t get him to come over for a half hour and I thought I would pass out if I didn’t eat. He came back and apologized and told us they would take 10% off the meal. We are appalled that they would only take 10% off but we paid and got out of there because frankly, we just didn’t want to sit there anymore. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. It’s overpriced and the food is not good. Don’t waste your time or money!!

The views and atmosphere are lovely but the food is truly horrible. I have never given a restaurant a negative review ever. We paid ~$520 USD for a set four course meal for two (guarantees a window seat). The food was bland, under seasoned and several of the dishes (fish and desert) tasted like they hadn’t been prepared fresh that day. If you want to enjoy the view, just go for drinks.

Impeccable place! service out of 10, but our burger was burnt. It wasn't well done, it was actually burnt as you could feel a bitter taste. I think that based on the location, burning a burger isn't very cool.

Lovely decor and attention to detail. Restrooms are worth a visit as the view equates to those in the lounge area. Staff are how you'd expect. Polite and efficient. It is a little pretentious, but again, it's expected. Nice for a one-time experience, but there are many other places to go that give you a 5 star experience without being told more than once that the minimum spend is £30 per person which is obvious as one cocktail is £25 and you're there 1 hour and 15 minutes. I.e you are likely having more than one drink in that time.

The view is obviously brilliant. But it loses its brilliance when you realise youre being fooled because the ridiculously expensive food tastes awful. Asian food with no asian flavour! Honestly it was just so disappointing. We spent £170 on 2 starters, 1 main and 2 drinks - and the highlight of the entire meal were the free olives they give at the start. There are plenty other rooftop restaurants that you can spend a fortune in where atleast the food youre paying for makes it seem remotely worth it. I am pretty sure google purposefully removes bad reviews anyway but its better to leave an honest review and save someone else the trouble.

Nice bar in the Shangri-La. We booked the champagne & food package. We were a little disappointed that the champagne wasn’t Veuve or similar (as the package was pricey). Having said that, the champagne and food were both good. The view is obviously the real reason why you go, and the package guaranteed a window seat, which did have an incredible view. We were moved to another table before we finished (but they did extend our time). I think they should allow more than 90 mins per booking.

First and last experience, I had arrived a bit earlier and called them 10 minutes prior to our table time to tell them that we would be 10-15' late, the lady on the phone ensured that there was no problem, after my partner arrived and we went to the reception to get checked in the lady said to us that we would have to wait as our table was released because we arrived late, I proceeded to explain that I had called and showed her the call, we were sent upstairs. At this point everything was a mess, the lady at the reception didn't know anything, I showed her the call and explained her the situation, their internal communication clearly didn't fail, we were told that there was a table available or if we would prefer to wait for a better table, we decided to wait. Shortly after the lady comes again to apologize and offer a table further back, she told us that we had a window table but it was released because we were late, at this point the situation felt ridiculous, the lady was constantly trying to blame on us the problem completely ignoring the fact that we called them. Once we got sited the manager showed up to try to speak to us, he basically proceeded to explain their rules and stuff after we explained the situation, he completely ignored that evidential facts that we were discussing, he started talking over my partner, his face was getting red as he was not liking what we were saying to him, we weren't happy but we weren't rude, in the end he left and not in a good way, this guy is not only absolutely unprepared to be a manager but he is also not suitable for customer service jobs, surprising being an Italian guy at a high end place. We ended up leaving without getting any food, the service was disgusting and we didn't feel like giving our money away to such place, it is hard to believe that Shangri-la accepts this kind of service blaming customers when they are proving to you the facts, definitely not going nor recommending this place. Been 10 years in London and I know that the average service is mediocre being optimistic but you wouldn't expect this at such premium place with such high prices, shameful.

I must admit that my recent visit to Sky Lounge Shangri-La was rather disappointing. Despite the staff being friendly, the service was far from satisfactory, as the staff seemed more concerned with reminding us of our limited 1.5-hour dining time rather than attending to our needs. This constant pressure to rush through our meal was quite off-putting. Moreover, the food left much to be desired, with a below-average quality that failed to impress. It lacked the flavors and finesse one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Sadly, I cannot justify the prices they charge, as the value for money was close to zero in my opinion. On the upside, I cannot deny the good view from the restaurant. The scenery of London’s skyline was the only positive aspect of the entire experience. Overall, despite the good view, I cannot recommend Sky Lounge Shangri-La due to its poor service, below-average food, and lack of value for money. There are certainly better dining options available in London that offer a more enjoyable and satisfying experience.

I had booked a table for 4 for 4 June 2023 at 4.15pm and got a reminder call a couple of days prior to confirm if we still intended going which I thought was good in case our plans had changed or if there is any change in the numbers attending. For me, it was downhill from there onwards. From the moment I came to the entrance, I felt like i was walking into some cheap tired hotel as it was adorned with plastic flowers. To make it worse, there was a Christmas display with baubles and cotton wool for snow effect. This is in June. Then took the lift to 34th floor and there were more displays of plastic flowers. In a couple of corners there were several green live ( i think) indoor plants, all bunched up together. There was what looked like a mannequin with a red nylon cloth draped around her and trailing on the floor and if you didn't look where you were going- meaning if you were too busy admiring the view while walking to your table, there is a good chance you would step on the red nylon cloth and slip, taking the mannequin with you. We ordered cocktails and a portion of fries and thought of ordering some more food later after we had looked at the menu properly. The drinks came after about 10 minutes of ordering. The chips came about 45 minutes after ordering. The drinks were ok. Not even a cursory slice of lime or orange slice stuck on the rim of the glass, bearing in mind I paid £12 for a mocktail. The menu is the worst I have seen in a hotel of this rating (5*?). Even Premier Inn or McDonalds have a better choice. It's just as well the choice is diabolical as I don't think I could have managed to eat anything with a fork and a knife at a low coffee table which was already full with 4 drinks glasses, and a pot plant with a cheap plastic flower which kept on falling out of the pot. If it had been placed in a flower vase with a narrow mouth, it might not have. Did the bar manager or the restaurant staff have a practice run to see how they get on dining ( with the type of food on offer) on a small coffee table of that size? Not given a jot of thought about customer experience. If anyone thinks they can perch on the stool at the bar while waiting for their mate, they should readily abandon the idea. The bar which is normally the star of the drinks lounge is tucked away in a corner under the stairs and not much bigger than the size of a bathroom in an average terraced house. I really felt sorry for the barman as he barely had enough room to place the drinks on the bar as he prepared them because a lot of the bar top was taken by the drinks bottles which probably could not fit on the shelf inside the bar. The bar looked a mess. Apart from the view through the windows, there was nothing which made me awestruck. Even Westfield shopping centre has a classy feel where the Designer shops are. The service was poor. The prices are ridiculously high for what they offer. The decor is awful. As for the menu, which chef thought you can eat those things on the menu by sitting at a low coffee table which would already be crammed with drinks glasses? Perhaps he/she expects the customers to place the plate on their lap- like people do when watching tv? If it wasn't for the view, we would have walked out sooner. All in all, a hugh dissappointment.

Everything about this experience was amazing! I had not planned to do it here beforehand, but the night was made to feel so special that I proposed to my partner here (luckily she said yes!). The customer service from the moment we walked into The Shard was excellent. It is an intimate setting with fantastic views out on to London. The sun set while we were there, which led to some lovely viewing during our meal. I had the burger for my main and I am not exaggerating when I say it is the best burger I have ever eaten! The price is on the expensive side, but that is to be expected for the experience. Compared to other menus I saw in The Shard, Sky Lounge were quite fair. We both had a main, a dessert, a drink, a bottle of water for the table and paid the service charge - this came to around £150, which was definitely worth it to us. Shoutout to the staff who made this a great experience - Viola, Soshil, Simona, Jojo, Noni and Tatiana. However, a special shoutout to our server, Asore. He tried his absolute best to make this a special experience before I had even told him I was thinking of proposing! He even caught our special moment on camera for us too, thank you Asore!

It's my second time here. First time I did the Sky Lounge Brunch and yesterday we went for dinner. I do like the place and the staff seem lovely however yesterday was a Saturday evening which of course is the busiest night of the week- the table was for only 90 minutes. Now that might seem alot but if you're ordering food it goes so quick! We didn't have time for desserts as we were halfway through our meal the waitress said we only had 30 minutes left on our table. We felt pressured and after spending £198 it seemed unreasonable. I get they want to avoid table hoggers who only order 1 drink and sit for hours. Maybe they need to extend this time for people who are actually eating. Like I said we finished our food and downed our drinks because time was up and we certainly couldn't order dessert. Food was tasty though and staff seemed pleasant. On balance with the view etc and the above- I wouldn't reccomend nor return and for that price you can find a 5* restaurant in London without the time pressure.

The staff were nice and helpful, and the view was good, but this place is only suitable for getting couple of drinks, not a dining place. Do not consider this as a proper restaurant even though it'll show when you search for a restaurant recommendation. We booked the table of three for dinner at 18:15, and finished ordering at around 18:30. However, we got our food at around 19:10 when we were told the table was reserved for us for only 90 minutes. We were feeling a bit pressured during dining and didn’t understand why they didn’t just bring perhaps salad first instead of letting us wait for such a long time. (Though the staff did kindly let us stay for a bit longer after relocating us to another table, still this was not a pleasant experience) The mains we ordered including beef noodles (a bit salty), fish and chips (very little seasoning), and baby chicken/the one with jasmine rice (the side salad was awful); we can't say it was good with this price. And, FYI, there are no hot drinks here (They have online menus, but we only know this after we arrived)
