Normally the place is really good, my go to spot. But i just got home to find they gave me completely the wrong order. It’s too far to drive back now. Very disappointed.

The best Chinese takeaway for miles. I travelled from Heald Green 💚 delivery if needed .

Ordered the sizzling sharing box, never ordered from there before, lovely food, delivery extremely quick, very impressed,as we have gone off ordering takeaways, usually overpriced and rubbish food, can honestly say not had a takeaway for a few years. Definitely will order from this takeaway again (sizzling wok) .

Tonight I have ordered King Prawn Fried Rice and Salt Pepper Chips. Really nice and counter service is good, polite and order is accurate.

I highly recommend this place! It’s so good, this is like the best place in Cheadle hulme!!!

Our usual chinese takeaway was shut so decided to go here. Woman that served us was rude and very unfriendly. Food was very bland

Had the sharing box, which was very nice and a change from kebabs after the pub. Unfortunately the woman behind the counter has absolutely no people skills. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but it's opposite the pub.

Tried first time last night. Best Chinese I’ve had in ages.

We have ordered from this take Away for a good Many Years but in the last 3 months it has fallen from over a repeated 4 + stars so quickly to a minus 1 star , on our most recent order cold chips , partly microwave meals most at no part of its journey had the meat seen any part of a Sizzling Wok , lumpy powdery sauces , the sweet and sour containing a very heavy handed dose of chilli spice , the curry sauce had to be watered down and recooked to actually be edible , so different to 6 months ago , one can only be of the assumption that staff have changed , will return no sooner than 9 month time to allow for a cooking review by its managers to employ chefs that are competent in the preperation of true Chinese Cuisine using Traditional Methods and original Ingredients and not dishes bought from a competitions Resturaunt , This Establishment has fallen from 1 - 5 place to below 50th . I ordered the appetizer for two people. It was delicious. The food was very fresh. I will buy it again.

We are a regular customer at Sizzling Wok and have always enjoyed our meals from here. We have recently discovered the new ‘Sizzling Share Box’, which contains prawn toast, spring rolls, salt and pepper ribs, salt and pepper chicken wings, chicken bites, salt and pepper chips, fried rice, curry sauce and the sweet chilli crispy meat dish. The salt and pepper dishes had the perfect amount of seasoning and spice. The prawn toast and spring rolls were cooked to perfection and not at all greasy. The fried rice was equally as good, alongside the sweet chilli crispy meat dish. Would definitely order again! Very pleased.

Food was nice I strongly recommend the Salt and Pepper squid as a delightful starter. It was very crispy and had a strong kick of pepper when delivered. The Kung Pao chicken was also very delicious, usually it would be dough more than chicken but it was the complete opposite in Sizzling Wok. Very generous portions and friendly staff and delivery driver! Would definitely order again!

A couple of my friends have recommended Sizzling Wok to me and on Saturday I thought to have a try as I was too tired to cook. The service was exceptional, very friendly staff, delivery was right on time as explained over the phone! The food was equally amazing. I ordered thai green curry and my god it was so authentic despite it being a Chinese takeaway! The rice was also perfectly cooked and not soggy at all despite delivery!

Just bought a salt and pepper chip before dinner. Task is not bad.

One of the cleanest and best takeaway I have every had in Cheadle Hulme. Having living in the area for over 10 years, I gotta say that sizzling wok is my go to place whenever I cba to cook. Not only is the service excellent, staffs are incredibly friendly despite being so busy! The set dinner is an absolute bargain only £11.50 per person which includes a soup, starter and main! I also strongly recommend the Yeung Chow Fried Rice as it taste exactly like the ones served in a Hong Kong tea room!

I was desperate for chinese food yesterday and came across sizzling wok in the area. Thought to give it a try and boy oh boy what an amazing surprise. The order was delivered very efficiently and the food was still piping hot when delivered! Sweet and sour chicken was very authentic and the sauce was cooked to perfection giving such a nice flavour. Another highlight was the stir-fried beef chow mein. Usually when ordering takeaway, the chow mein would come wet and soggy due to the moisture in the delivery box, maybe due to the fast delivery, the noodle was still dry when delivered which was amazing! Would definetly recommend and will be ordering again very soon!

A friend told me that there is a Chinese take away restaurant near the train station that has some delicious food. I didn’t have time to cook a few days ago so I gave it a try. I ordered Yeung Chow fried rice, stir-fried beef Chow Mein and Kung Pao chicken. The fried rice was yummy . The Kung Pao Chicken has a good taste also. Thanks for my friend to recommended this restaurant to me.

The best Chinese takeaway I’ve used in years.

I was visiting from Australia and decided to try their king prawn curry and fried rice for a takeaway, well it was bang on properly the nicest one I have had in England lots of prawns as well I highly recommend the sizzling wok

Have always ordered from here and enjoyed. Tonights food was poor. Ribs were overcooked & brittle. The seafood special chow mein was full of pepper & tasted horrible.

The food was truly awful. The salt and pepper prawns were overcooked, bland and like rubber. The beef was poor quality and chewy. All the food lacked flavour and expensive. I won’t be ordering from here again. Most of the food went in the bin.

As recommended from my friends months ago, I bought some Chinese take away from here for my dinner tonight. The taste is good, and my children are quite happy with Singapore chow mein, special fried rice and mixed vegetable with tofu in oyster sauce. All the dishes are very hot with reasonable price and no need to wait for a long time.

delivery took the best part of an hour but food did arrive very hot and the driver was friendly at the door. prawn crackers and spring rolls chucked in as well. everyone ordered different dishes but agreed they were all lacking in taste intensity despite being presented well. unfortunately would not order from here again.

Never ordered from here before and never will again, even though it was recommended. After the food was 45 minutes overdue we called to enquire and the girl who answered could only tell us that the food was ready but they were awaiting a driver, we were on the verge of calling and cancelling after another 30 minutes when it arrived. To say it was mediocre would be giving it too much of a fanfare, limp, lukewarm, soggy tofu, cold chicken and that was just the starters. I was sent the wrong main meal (& cold) and the second main was also cold..... The 'free' spring rolls were cold and rock hard. The idea behind a takeaway delivery service is to deliver the correct, hot food.... Never bothered to call and complain.... the last review and the girls response suggested the response we would have. Will never use this place again

Just had our first Chinese from here, absolutely top notch So fresh, chicken moist, rice fluffy arrived quickly and nice and hot. Best Chinese takeaway in a long time. Well worth a visit.

Only given ONE star because Zero isn’t an option ? 😱 Been ordering from this take away on & off for ever, ten or twelve years at least ? 🤔 Never again ! 🤬 Just had what was probably our worst takeaway ever ? 😖 Warmed up chips, poor starters and very poor main ? 😟 Rang to complain to the poor girl on the phone, manager wasn’t big enough to speak directly and all we got was a second hand stern ‘Oh well we’ll send it out again ?’ 😱 Or two main courses next time 🤔 TBH we’ll probably never risk buying from them again ! Still in shock to be honest as we’ve never had such poor food from this establishment, gave them a chance to rectify the situation very diplomatically and got shown the door ? 🤔 Customer service it would seem matched the quality of their food this evening ! One very disgruntled customer 😡

Not the best food had a lot better . Full of MSG and still tasteless, chips I would not feed my dog with probably cooked in the day and refried . Not good

They do a nice & filling sweet & sour with fresh veg pieces in too. Quick no fuss service.

A great takeaway with a wide selection of meals

As it was my first visit I tried the meal for one which seemed good value with decent choices. Started with chicken and sweetcorn soup which was very tasty and was still very hot. Starters followed and was very impressed with them especially the salt and pepper ribs. Changed the main course to chicken kung pao, plenty of chicken and very spicy. Overall great food, good sized portions and excellent value. Will definitely return,

Ordered from here for the very first time... Had the chicken and mushroom..egg fried rice..beansprouts .. absolutely delicious .. will certainly be ordering again .. thank you for a delicious meal 😊

Ordered food at half 7, live 5 minutes away, rung up close to 9 o’clock, lied to me saying the driver was on his way as it was another 10-15 until I rung again without any delivery...sent driver back with food and ordered from somewhere different...lost a customer.

Not had a takeaway from the sizzling wok for a while, so we thought we would treat ourselves - We asked for chop sticks and it was like we had asked a daft question !!!! The chicken and beef chow mien was very sloppy and we could taste cinnamon really strong in noodles .. time to find a new Chinese takeaway we think !!!🙈🙈

Been coming here for years, food is great. They make their own Sui mai dim sum which is one of my favourites, together with pancake duck. Food is not greasy like others, and while you are waiting there's a convenient Tesco's metro to grab some essentials. Plenty of parking just outside off the main road, or in the Tesco metro car park so really convenient

Dishes are different to other chinese takeaways even though they have the same name but food was nice overall however the prawn crackers were not the best

Ordered Duck and Plum Sauce for myself and Quarter Duck with Pancakes for my pregnant girlfriend, we put on a note saying No Greens/Veg on the Duck & Pancakes, my food arrived on time and was just warm and mediocre but my partner ended up with the duck with no pancakes so we rang up for the person on the phone to say that we said we didn't want to pancakes to which we read the note back to them word for word. So my food arrived at 19:45 and I finished it but my partner had to wait till 20:25 for pancakes and had to reheat her duck. Won't be going here again, massive disappointment and to be honest waste of around £20. Go somewhere else it'll arrive quicker and the order will be right. A few hours later I felt off and my stomach was going all over the place and just felt like I was going to be sick.

Horrendous food, delivered 45 minutes late. Awful customer service, avoid like the plague.

Lived in Bramhall for 12 years and always found Chinese takeaway to be hit or miss. Looking at the reviews we tried this place for the first time tonight. Food was ready in 20 mins and was probably some of the nicest Chinese we have had. Not too salty or MSG, real flavours and very fresh. Looking at the guys in the kitchen, all looked super clean and fresh to order. We will return.

Very disappointing. Don't order the crispy shredded beef!

Took 2 hours for our food to arrive - staff on phone didn’t care and lied saying it was Just Eat’s fault as their website was down, however they confirmed the order as soon as we made it 🤔 avoid!!!

Used Sizzling Wok for years and the one time I complain was utterly disappointed with the response!!! Paid £37 for a meal for 4. The food seemed old, the rice smelled mouldy. Was told to put food back in a food bag so they can take it back and was offered to cook the meals again for us. Cooking the meals was fine but putting the food back in a food bag for them to take it back!!! Really!!!

My son ordered the takeaway. Was told 20 mins. Turned up to wait another 20 mins. Noticed people coming in and ordering in front of me and collecting it before me. Asked if my order had been forgotten they said "you ordered by phone and we said 20 mins" I replied that's right and the 20 mins was well up. No apology for the 40 mins wait just laughed. Food is not what it used to be. Won't be going again.

Love this place the best chinese in stockport, usually order via just eat. Normally get the red thai prawn curry best always accompanied with the boiled rice and salt and pepper chips. Food always delivered earlier than time stated and always piping hot and full of flavour. Never have any complaints. Really sweet of them to add fortune cookies Im definitely a regular lol x

Wife enjoys occasional Chinese take out,always had chosen so always telephone order about an hour beforehand to arrange a time to collect. Giving them plenty of time to cook it and agree a collection time. Gone today and yet again hadn't even started cooking it when I arrived.Complete waste of time ordering over the phone . Be quicker and better quality going and buying a ready meal and cooking it yourself.

Food was nice but a meal was missed off when we called to explain she basically told us we were liars when it was clearly on our bill. Very rude and very unprofessional. Thursday evening and it was an hour and 20 mins. Wouldn't use again.

Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service. Placed an order for delivery, food came completely wrong and staff tried to deny that it was incorrect! They tried to not give a refund as well!! Been waiting 35minutes for them to come back with a refund and take the food! Shocking customer service will never be ordering from them again!

meal although i watched them stir fry it was barely warm and we only live five minutes away,no fresh ingredients all frozen,cantonese fillet steak was inedible even the dog struggled to chew it.spare ribs just about warm and obviously previously frozen and warmed up.Never Again ,

ordered food and an hour and a half later was still not delivered. customer service by the restaurant was shocking and nothing forthcoming to redeem the problem at hand. from pushing got 4 cans of coke offered. great thanks. would not use again on the back of this. shocking use of justeat. Nice Chinese, great curry sauce, noodles also good. Only criticism they're not open to off menu items....i asked to swap salt and pepper aubergine for salt and pepper mushroom and it was a no even though they have mushrooms 😐 Delivery usually on time or few mins early. Sometimes you get a fortune cookie sometimes not haha Recommend for a Chinese takeaway.... best in the area that I've tried.

I order delivery from here regularly....food always comes within 40 mins (as advised when order placed) fresh hot and delicious.

I revived my food with several hairs in my rice , rang back and got free food delivered to find another hair that looked like an animal hair and i rang back to be spoken to in a nasty way and they hung up on me .

I love this place! Never had a bad meal. Food always hot, tasty and loads of it! Love how you can customise the set menu - which offers incredible value for money with a great mixed starter, soups and main dishes/rice. We have moved away from Cheadle Hulme now... but still drive back to collect when it's takeaway night as nothing local to us now even comes close. 🍜🍲🍚🥘. 10/10

Great food. A bit pricey though

Ordered meal and the service was quick. The meal was delivered in 30 or so minutes. The meal was well packaged. I ordered Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup and Prawn Crackers plus Chicken Curry with Fried Egg Rice. The meal was very nice and came to £12.50. Hygiene was 4 out of five. Visited 19th February 2014
