Great service, friendly staff and the Chicken Karmos was possibly (one of) the best I have eaten so far.

I gave this three star just for staff service are good , Otherwise let's talk about food We order six starter chicken chilly, chicken crispy,chicken 65, chicken tikka,fish chilly to and chicken lollipop almost starter are taste very good but only one that chicken lollipop taste like UNfresh just they reheated.and as per the price quantity is too little. In Main course we order Chinese fried rice and butter chicken and nan Butter chicken was so bad it's taste so sweet and like veg paneer . Overall alright but too costly as per the quantity.

I am choosy when I have to eat something good which I have never eaten before, I ask the details about the dish and how they prepare etc.

Ordered butter chicken,nan,chowmin noodles and masala fries. Nan and chicken was nice but didn't liked noodle and chips both tested almost similar.

I ordered hot and sour soup but they don’t know how to cook. It was Horrible test . I ordered butter chicken it was disgusting . again they don’t know how to cook . so please think before you go to this restaurant waste of money .👎

Today was my second time going and really really enjoyed it. Service was really good as well and over all had a lovely meal out with my family. :)

Uzair gave great service and answered our many questions to help us find suitable dishes for us as with 14 of us there were many different requirements. The meat seemed good quality, garlic naan was nice and soft and the food was served quickly and all together. We will definitely be returning.

Went on Thursday, so it a quiet night. Food was good, mixed grill starters was small portion size. Mains was nice and service was good and quick. Be mindful as cash only.

This place has quite a large range of delicious dishes that you can order. I really like just coming here and ordering something random. It looks like a family place though, clean and whatnot, that makes me a little self concious tbh going single every time.

I ate here upon recommendation of friend who had previously eaten here before. I cannot, I repeat, I cannot express enough how mouth-wateringly, delicious the food was! I ordered the Beef Schezwan from the Indo Chinese menu, which arrived with chips and noodles (option of additional rice was also available) - the noodles and chips were smothered in the delicious tangy Schezwan sauce and the succulent beef, cooked to perfection! I am literally salivating as I type this review and just imagining the exciting thought of revisiting very soon! The staff were delightful and the customer service was top notch! My friends and I were looked after by the lovely Uzair who deserves recognition for his wonderful manner! Definitely coming back again very soon! This deserves a 10/10 for sure!

This has easily become a family favourite! Great TASTING food, excellent service, reasonably priced and comfortable atmosphere. I visit this restaurant with friends too and it suits both occasions! The veg noodles, spicy rice (specially made ) and masala chips were a hit for me, my friends had the beef schezwan sizzler and can't find a second best yet! The chicken lollipop is also a fave ! My dad loves the butter chicken and my mum their delicious biryani! Honestly if your contemplating this place...don't! Just go and see for yourselves!

It's ok food was decent too. Good location. Don't have kids juices and kids menu seemed quite pricey

The place looks very clean. The food has no flavours even the hottest dish is bland. The welcome was great and seating area was amazing. All the food came out pretty much the same time so half the food was cold. I was not impressed by the way they kept clearing the table it felt like they could not wait for us to leave. I was just finishing my meal and had the waiter touch my glass with my drink putting me off finishing it as he touched the rim of the glass. Stretching over the table to clear it, when questioned he denied it. Unbelievable.

We went there today. Ordered sheekh kebabs and chilli paneer with naan. Both were delicious and service was attentive and relaxed. Would definitely recommend to families and couples alike. Look forward to trying some more dishes again soon.

since my last review they have improved and I would recommend this place for authentic Indian food

1st time going there for my daughter 16th birthday it was To expensive. food was ok but not worth the price. The juice I ordered cost me £12 the size of the jug omg so small. I wouldn't recommend this place unless u wana waste ur money .👎

The are very expensive also i had order a dish and naan is very small pricewise also The khadai is very small given me and i talk to them but did not licening me and Lassie Jug is very small and charge me high price also they not given a big plate

Not good food poor flavors and spice

Amazing food. Can't fault it. Went twice, visits were a month apart. Quality was spot on. I suggest trying the mix grill, crispy chicken and lamb tawa. Absolutely amazing. About time we had a proper Indian restaurant on evington road - it's been a good 10 years since the last decent one in the area closed down.

Really nice food. Wasn't the 1st place on the list as the area surrounding this store is filled with umpteen different eateries. One of the group suggested it, so we went along and the food was really delicious. If you're familiar with AnNajeebs on London road then it's similar to that in that it's Indo Chinese style of food. The food was brought to the table relatively quickly and there wasn't anything missed. The waiter was attentive and came to ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything else, this was a nice touch. I would definitely go back with my family as it has everything that would be catered for different tastes and ultimately the price was reasonable.

Good curry great breads and service

Food was OK. But a little pricey as the large mix grill didn't come with any lamb chops or wings. Only small pieces of chicken and small lamb n chicken kebabs. A bit of a let down. Lamb tawa was OK not the best. Very little meat more on bones

Nice place, well presented, staff were attentive and it was fairly clean. The food on the other hand was not in any way spicy. I ordered the mix grill to find out was mainly chicken, no lamb, no mincemeat, not really much of a selection for a mix grill. It didn't taste off much either. The chicken dish for my kids was so sweet (I've never had/ seen it like that) They didn't like it, overall I won't be going back as there's little to no sizzle, nor spice!

Only loved the Peshwari Nan. We left the rest!

food is good no doubts.. but £6 for 3 chicken nuggets meal id extortion.. £1.50 for can of drink which was not even GB (Imported from Europe somewhere which is much cheaper) is too expensive.. my son wanted more nuggets they charge me £1 a nugget. 4 nuggets for £4 ... u can bloody buy a 1kg pack of nuggets for £3.99.

The restaurant is very busy, full on most evenings, so can feel a little crammed. It is a CASH ONLY business, which is something I disapprove of in principal. The food was tasty, but the portions were small compared to the many eateries on the same road. The £10 mix grill and naans were on the 'lets order more food' conversation. Would I go again? Probably not!

Ordered chicken tikka, Chicken seekh kebab, chilli King prawns, beef crispy, masala chips for starters and have to say the starters are one of the best we've had in Leicester. Fresh and tasty all had a unique flavour. The mains were good, but nothing to shout about. we had chicken tawa, chicken tikka masala and chicken garlic, the chicken tawa and garlic tasted similar. portions were good and prices are reasonable. some customers ordered a sizzler with noodles, rice and chips, that looked really appealing. would definately order that next time. The place was full for a Monday evening. The place really did exceed my expectations. Can't wait to go back. Came back on Friday, as wanted to try more dishes. had the Lamb seekh kebab, masala chips, beef crispy again, also tried out the sizzler. starters are out of this world. loved them, and the service from the owner outstanding. He took proper care of our table and looked after my son and gave him free chips and drinks. Very rare to have good service, nice ambience and great food in one place.

Went as a group of ten on Saturday night and had an amazing meal here. Restaurant is a bit small but nicely decorated and they have a sort of open kitchen set-up which was enjoyable to watch. Starters - we ordered two large mixed grills and a large lamb chops. The waiter said the large mixed grills were for four people but the portion was huge. 20+ pieces of a variety of tikka plus chicken and lamb kebab. Multiply that by two and it was a lot of food. There was ten of us men and we struggled to finish it. The Tikkas and kebab were really well marinated and grilled to perfection. Really enjoyable platters. We also had masala chips which were balanced well and not overpowering. Main courses - butter chicken, chicken karahi, lamb karahi, lamb harayali, chilli garlic prawns, lamb biryani, pilau rice and naan. All the mains were generous portion sizes and as with the starters we struggled to finish them. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the Indian dishes which were again not too overpowering and flavoursome which was great. The indo Chinese prawn dish had too much garlic for my liking and that knocked out the other flavours and so that isn’t something I would order again personally. Rice and naan as you would expect and complimented the meal well. Drinks - variety of Mocktail’s all contained a degree of fresh fruit which was nice to see and really added to the flavour. Mango sensation is what I had and I really enjoyed it! We also ordered a jug of mango lassi and this was again well made and not too sweet or rich and went down a treat. Service - polite waiters and management who tried their best to accommodate a big group in a small restaurant on a busy night. Overall a fantastic experience!

Absolutely shocking service!! Booked a table for four people but not sure if they understood the concept of taking bookings. When we arrived they had us waiting next to the door with the cold hitting our backs for 15 minutes. Asked the manager if he was planning to provide a table, he said he couldn’t control how quick people eat and asked us to wait further. Yet there were tables available which i found very strange. Decided to walk out and dine somewhere else where they would simply provide a decent level of service and not give priority to bookings with over 4 people. Will not be visiting this place anytime soon.

i been invited from my family to have nice dinner in this Restaurant but instead of enjoy we regretted to book place in the establishment . Service was absolutely 00 and they don't know what food to bring first main or starter. food was not good to standard and we order MIX Gril cost £18 only they have boneless chicken piece and 2 seekh kebab which they cut to small piece so it look lotes in the platter not chops no ch wings no lamb botti and the there cheff don't know how to make Lamb Karrahi .he put green paper in LAMB kharahi or even Chicken Biryani he put fresh onion and there head waiter was very rude he don't know how to talk to Customers. Money was wastage. We will never come to this restaurant and will not recommend SIZZLING GRILL OF EVINGTON ROAD, LEICESTER , to ANYONE

We went to this restaurant based on the reviews. The reviews don’t lie. The food we very good but surprisingly the services was equally as good. I would 100% go again. I would advise to book as all good restaurants they seemed to be quite busy. One of the most enjoyable meals in terms of food and service that i have had in a while. Credit to the team it appears to be a well oiled machine.
