Reservé un curso de cata de café a través de su sitio web en octubre, para regalarlo en Navidad. Recibí la confirmación de este pago, pero luego no hay detalles de seguimiento sobre cómo reservar una fecha / cualquier información para darle al destinatario del regalo. Envié varios correos electrónicos durante los siguientes meses sin respuesta. Eventualmente recibí una respuesta a mediados de diciembre que me informaba que los cursos ya no se estaban ejecutando y que estaban emitiendo reembolsos. No hubo comunicación al respecto. Ahora estoy en la posición de necesitar encontrar un regalo de Navidad de reemplazo 1 semana antes del día de Navidad. Es de destacar que todavía están anunciando los cursos en el sitio web hoy (18 de diciembre) a pesar de elegir dejar de ejecutarlos desde octubre.

Fui a este café mientras visitaba Think Tank ya que su café no estaba abierto. Un montón de mesas de repuesto, pero todas cubiertas de basura. No estoy seguro de por qué el personal esperaba que los clientes se sentaran en mesas llenas de basura de otras personas. Tuve que pedirle a un miembro del personal que limpiara uno y ella pareció sorprendida de que le hubiera pedido que hiciera esto. Esperamos unos quince minutos, tal vez más, para que se produjera una taza de té y dos expresos dobles a pesar de que solo había una persona delante de nosotros en la cola. Cuando se trajeron los expresos no eran correctos y tuvimos que esperar nuevamente. La persona frente a nosotros también había declarado que su orden estaba completamente equivocada. El personal era agradable pero esto no podía compensar el mal servicio al cliente.

I've just read through the 1 star reviews and have to say that has not been my experience. As a family we stop at six eight for coffee and cake whenever we visit Think tank museum. This is usually at the weekend which might make a difference. We've visited, gosh, probably 30 times or more now over the past couple of years. In my experience the coffee is among the best I've had in Birmingham, that there are a range of delicious home made Gluten Free cakes is a joy for someone with the restricted diet I have to live with. The people working there have always been friendly, polite and accommodating. From time to time a table may not get cleaned quickly but this is quite understandable. It has a lot of passing trade where people come and go quickly. They focus on what does matter most: great coffee, wonderful GF cake, served quickly and simply. Thank you six eight and see you soon.

That's it ! I don't eat the food as I mainly eat in the BCU canteen, but can't resist one of their cappucinos.

It’s shocking that to gain positive reviews, the manager has obviously got all the staff to rate this place. Definitely not as good as it used to be.

I Used to go to their Temple Row store and used to love their coffee. I didn't know that they had a store. It was at the end of the day and the food seemed to have finished so didn't try it

Very dissapointed been there a few times before and was happy to recommend but the food has gone way down! Have they changed chef or menu? Not good either way! Did they use to do homemade soups and cakes? Because I didn’t see any! Won’t be back again

We had a great time when we visited. Chef Gareth looked after us fantastically. The choice of deli sandwiches was excellent and there was a solid selection of gluten free options. Couldn’t fault the coffee or food but it was definitely the staff, front of house and back, that make this place as wonderful as is it. Fully recommended.

Stopped off here for a quick snack during lunch break. I've been here once or twice in the past after having good experiences with the sister kafe.

Didn’t expect too much but was surprised to experience excellent coffee - rich smooth and deep and the Victoria cake was moist , delicious and generous portion . Absolutely perfect and superior in quality to any of the large coffee chains - hands down . 👍

Having been used to having the likes of Starbucks I didn't realise what really good coffee tasted like until I visited 6/8. It's made with love and I love the independent vibe. It's definitely going to become my new regular coffee shop! Forget Starbucks and their bland coffee! Thank you guys!

Loved the coffee here - tastes so smooth. Hurrah..no more burnt coffee from the regular high street coffee shops ! Cake selection excellent with gluten free available. Not too busy when we visited, service good.

Clean. Food was a bit stale and not much choice but good coffee with a goods selection of shots. Did seem a bit weird to order in the middle of the counter and then collect your drink at the far left and your food on the opposite side of the counter, you literally have to walk outside to do both ends. I understand that it is a cafe and not waitress service however clearly some people do not as voiced by the lady behind the counter when she returned using the f word to describe someone who had not waited for their food. As a family with young children this was a bit of a shock to hear, but like I say, given the location , probably more of a student cafe.

Great coffee blends. Much nicer tasting coffee than sold in the well-known coffee chains. If you don't fancy a coffee, they've got the nicest Chai Latte around. Lovely cakes too. There's a different selection every few days.

Six Eight Kafe is based near my university and popular place to go with my uni peers. Great friendly staff and excellent coffee with a range of cakes, it's definitely worth a visit if you're near Millennium Point!! 5*

Without doubt the best latte I’ve had. Service was excellent too. Really friendly. Shame I don’t pass by more often. Would definitely recommend.

Simply put, this is my favourite place for coffee in the City Centre. Staff are friendly, helpful and conversant. Coffee is always bang on, never too bitter. If I had to find a negative it would be the cakes - a little lacklustre on occasion.

Fantastic cafe. It’s definitely my go to place for a coffee when I visit the Think Tank. It’s a shame I can’t come here more often.

He estado frecuentando esta cafetería durante algún tiempo y, como hasta ahora, no ha sido capaz de encontrar otra tienda de café que los rivales! El personal es amable y profesional, la comida y los pasteles se cocinan en el lugar por el equipo encantador e incluso comprar de vuelta en 6 onzas tazas para mí ;-). Wonderful coffee shop that I visit quite often, the staff are very chatty & easy to get along with! Always make great drinks in quick time! Very clean & very quirky decorations! He café desde aquí regularmente ya que trabajo en el edificio de al lado; el personal es siempre muy acogedor y amable y el ambiente es bueno y un lugar agradable para reunirse con colegas para tomar un café o simplemente para tener algo de tiempo para relajarse solo. Cuando Daniel es en Head Barista el café es genial aunque puede ser todo un éxito y se pierda cuando se capacita al personal nuevo. No solemos comer aquí, aunque quizás un Steak and Ale pasty cuando están disponibles. . Es muy sabrosa.

I visit 6/8 most days I am in Birmingham, it's next door to where I work. The coffee is superb, better than many places in London! Really friendly staff who take pride in serving the best coffee they know how. Highly recommended!

The service here was so appealing that I signed up to TripAdvisor just to warn people away. Their food choices range from limited to none and the coffee is the most sour thing I've ever tasted. If you're looking for the same experience, just toss £10 in the bin and sit in a cold room for a bit.

It was about midday when we arrived at the Think Tank and decided to pop in here for a drink. Didn't have any problems with service and the drinks where just what we needed. Would use again if i go back to Millenium Point.

Seemed two quite nice people when I first popped in but when we went back for a coffee and something to eat it was such a disappointment. If they'd got off the phone or chatting to each other it would help. We ordered and the young man said he would bring it over, he plonked the croissant down with no butter (which I'd asked for) but some jam but didn't tell me that the tea was over in the corner on the counter. Poor selection of sandwiches that looked as if they had sat there for ages - bacon and sausage sandwiches with pre cooked meat in. Cakes not covered on the counter. Such a good venue but needs to up its game. Maybe it relies on the fact people may only come once and with numbers that's enough. No pride in service or food.

Stopped by after a wonderful day at the think tank. The service is none existent..rude 'cant be bothered' attitude. I ordered a tea, the milk was slammed down infront of me..tea bag left in the paper cup..so disappointed after a great day..will not be back

The coffee is really good and strong. Also, the food is good and suitable for vegans and vegetarians. It's priced fairly and in a great location!

This is the only eaterie at the science museum so it's hobsons choice. No menu so we had to ask if they sell sandwiches to feed the kids. Small selection so the kids had a toastie. My sandwich was dried up so I had to ask for a new oneStaff friendly but either simply just started it gormless. Being Birmingham could be either. Didn't know if there was another eaterie on site Basically eat before you go as the museum is way out of town

Visiting the Think Tank this "snack bar" with a weird name is just outside the entrance. School parties tied up any open cafes in the Think Tank so this was the only option. Seemed a bit understaffed although the few (or two) that were there were pleasant enough. Coffee, teas, soft drinks, baguettes and what looked like home made cakes were the only things available, all at rather expensive prices. Surprising as they were opposite the Birmingham University. Maybe I'm out of touch with the finances of students these days! Food and drinks okay but nothing special.

Worst cafe I have ever been to ever! No atmosphere, staff are very poor and everything seems so up itself! Food is really nothing to shout about, I would actually say food is poor and it's so overpriced. I went because I was told this chain do great coffee .... Wrong! Even the coffee was rubbish. I doubt I've ever been so disappointed in a place and felt so ripped off! Totally style over substance and trust me, the style isn't great either! Trust me when I say "avoid", don't give these people your hard earned cash, they really don't deserve it!

I've visited 6/8 many times with my university course being in the same building. No matter what time of day I pop in the premises always seems to have a good vibe. The coffee range is brilliant and is prepared by friendly staff every time I've visited. The selection of sandwiches and paninis are extremely tastey and well prepared.Only reason for not giving the place 5 stars is because it does seem a tad overpriced.Nothing better than an americano and a coissant from 6/8 to start your day!

Went here having seen it was voted in top 50 independent coffee shops & I really love my coffee. I can only assume only 50 were reviewed. Mediocre coffee in paper cups, dirty tables, cold and uncomfortable. As for eats, just 2 pieces of sad, crumbly cake and a sandwich (I think) were on offer. Agreed it was around 1.30, but even so it was pathetic. If this is one of the best independents, then thank goodness for the multi national chains

As a huge fan of great tea and coffee, I knew that this was somewhere I needed to go. The range of tea is impressive and the coffee made to perfection. The staff are very friendly and the place has a great vibe. The barista on shift (I think he was a manager) was very welcoming and helpful at recommending the right tea for me! Great place. Will go again soon!!

6/8 is on the first floor of Millennium Point and offers Coffee, Tea, a range of cakes and a very good selection of sandwiches which are better than the run of the mill offerings found in most big brand coffee shops.They are not the cheapest but the quality is there, it just a shame they don't have more room for tables and seating.

Hands up. I don't really like reviewing. This is my first and probably my last review. I am amazed at the bad reviews below. I am either here or at their other store on Temple Row nearly everyday so I know what a great job these guys are doing. I love coffee and these guys serve some of the best coffee in Birmingham The Temple Row store does edge it in terms of the doing a better cup. I don't know why but they do.

This is all style over substance. The staff can't be bothered, the food is average at best and I'm being generous, coffee is absolutely nothing special and it's so overpriced. Save yourself, time money and a bad taste in your mouth at giving a company money when they really don't deserve it!

This has to be the best coffee shop in Birmingham!The food is fresh (every day) and delicious.The staff are lovely - arguably Will is the best barista in all of Europe! I love coffee but I highly recommend the apple and mint tea...it is ridiculously delicious.And you must try the Rocky Road OMG truly wonderful.

Have visited the other 6/8 kafe in Birmingham which is great. This place is awful. Expensive, plastic cups and cutlery, horrible cheap food. No atmosphere. It's an embarrassment to what was a good brand image from the other cafe in town. Won't come again.

The review by Mandy below (1 star) pretty much sums it up. Dirty tables, overpriced, horrible coffee, standoffish and stressed staff, charge to use debit card under 5 pounds, milk bottles just sat on the counter for pouring, overpriced, awful atmosphere. Have recently been to hospital and the cafeteria there was bright and pleasant compared to this. I feel depressed now and this has visit to 6/8 Kafe has actually ruined my day a bit.

Popped into this little cafe, seen it many times at the back of Rackhams (in joke for old Brummies!) Great coffee and good selection of cakes,Lemon polenta cake was perfect, Good selection of food for everyone, caters for all, Good comfy seating to watch the world go by,First visit today but not the last, red velvet cake is on the agenda for next time, it looked gorgeous,

Nothing special, the coffee is OK but nothing you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. Sadwhiches are good and rocky road is amazing.

I visited the new six eight kafe site today for the first time. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't live up to the standards of the Temple Row store, but it's just a different experience. The coffee is still at the same great standard and the staff are just as friendly. The option of food cooked to order is awesome. Love both shops!! Would highly recommend.

I visited the newly opened 6/8 Kafe today in Millennium point, thinking it would be bright and keen to please and I'd heard good things about other branches. I could not have been more wrong. The atmosphere is awful, the cafe opens on to the main floor at Millennium point which is steel and cold. The tables are plastic and there are only about 5 tables and the one we sat on was dirty. No excuse as they were not rushed of their feet.A man in a shirt served with no personality, cheeriness or eagerness to please. They offered sandwiches which were ok, no plate, plastic cutlery and even the soup was served in a throw away paper container. The coffee was £2.50 and served in the size of small throw away cup that you get at a football ground burger van and it was horrible and I left most of it.It was as abysmal as it gets and I felt really annoyed that I had been treated with such utter contempt as that really is how it feels.I wonder if they have decided not to bother in this outlet as it's situated within Millennium Point where there are lots of school kids and the Birmingham Metropolitan University is also in the same building. Maybe young people and visitors won't deserve decent service?I am totally appalled and I would NOT ever visit another six eight safe again, if this is what they have to offer.Do not give these people your money, they don't deserve it and they certainly don't give a damn about you.
