Sister Bao Express Portobello in Edinburgh, City of

Ordered online and was told about an hour for delivery. Nearly two hours later I get a call to say the driver's car is not working. A call an hour ago would have saved me sitting about waiting. The website is also still accepting delivery orders. Only good thing is an immediate refund was issued but the catch is it takes up to 21 days to get the refund. Ridiculous

Absolutely delicious. Best Chinese in porty! Salt and chilli noodle box was tasty and veg spring rolls were home made, hot and crispy. Fries also came hot and crispy. Will definitely be back 5/5!!!

This restaurant has the best Chinese food period ! , the flavours and spices are unbelievable it is like the flavours just explode in your mouth. From the spring rolls to the noodles to the lar chee chicken everything was cooked to perfection and tasted incredible this is the best restaurant in Edinburgh and the Lothians

Ordered for take out. Their website for ordering is very modern and does not require an account or personal information. Food was prepared quickly, very tasty, and was not too oily like many other places. We had buns and the noodle boxes, both were very generous portion sizes. They have many options to make the dishes vegetarian, the only thing that would make them perfect is the option to make the dishes vegetarian with tofu or other meat alternatives instead of extra vegetables and mushrooms.

Nice food really tasty but not great communication or service

Really lovely noodles, chicken, bao buns and chips. Good portion sizes- big helpings. Helpful staff and overall good service. Always been delicious each time we’ve visited. Also had a delivery once - on this occasion food came a little late - although very friendly female delivery driver was so apologetic and a genuinely nice girl. Meal was still exceptionally hot considering distance. Everything tastes great - seems to be cooked fresh.

The worst takeaway I’ve ever subjected myself to. Waited AN HOUR in store as one man took orders and then cooked everything, and struggled with my order as he didn’t really speak English. It didn’t get better when I finally got my food home. Had the chicken dumplings, pork buns, spare ribs, and two of the ‘topped boxes’. Was £43 overall, so not the cheapest. Firstly, the dumplings were fine but somewhat rubbery and barely crisped. The pork buns had a good flavour but were cold and spongy, clearly having been sat sweating for a while. The spare ribs were raw in the larger pieces (pictured), so a waste of money. The noodle boxes were made with cheap ramen noodles, the sauce wasn’t mixed through (you can just about see what I mean in the picture), leaving big gluey white patches that tasted of nothing. There was hardly any meat and it had a huge lump of coriander just thrown in, maybe as a garnish but completely unappealing. For the love of god, avoid this place. I can only assume the quality has dipped drastically recently, because it has so many good reviews. I can only comment on my own experience, but it was awful in every single way.

Good range of food, tasty, can be collected or delivered

We had few take aways from this place. Though expensive for a take away dish, we were happy to pay and try few vegetarian dishes. However, the meals are very salty, the food quality is inconsistent and the portion sizes are variable. This place is like other take away places with mediocre service, which come to the high street and disappear after a year or two.

Absolutely delicious food! One of the best in Portobello

Tasty, fresh cooked dumplings served with soy sauce. Top food for a quick hit on the run. Ate on site with chopsticks provided. Good snacking for youngest. Some small communication problems but got there I the end. Well worth it for authentic dumplings and buns served with a smile. Super hot, super fresh. Be careful!

The food is tasty and reasonably priced (though the pork in the bao buns has a mystery meat quality to it). The service however is appauling and the staff member I met ignored me to text on his phone despite me talking to him until eventually I was going to go somewhere else and he said 'what you want?' Thst guy has no f's to give for anyone.

Beautiful and authentic bao. I got two large steamed bao for about 3.60, a perfect lunch.

2 stars because the man with the glasses speaks very little English! My friend asked for prawn dumplings and he himself wasn't even sure if he understood correctly and it turned out when we got home they were not prawn 🙄. Please get someone at the counter who understands ENGLISH.

Placed an order for collection via the app and was really simple. The food itself was really delicious, and great value. I got a deal with a bun, noodles and drink and for £12 was a bargain. The bun was delicious and huge, and the wonton noodle soup portion was huge and tasty.

Amazing service lovely staff and amazing food my favourite place to eat out.

Did not get what I ordered very dissatisfied with you my order

First time trying here (2 adults, 2 kids) and it was great service , very accommodating (took out veg for one of the kids), quick delivery , had honey chili noodle box , sweet sour noodle box, curry rice box and all tasted great, definitely recommend.

The food is amazing. Less take away style and more restaurant quality. Full of flavour. Will be ordering again.

Think I'll need to work my way through this menu, think this Is my 5th meal from fusion and all of them superb, best Asian Cuisine in Edinburgh and a great service from the delivery driver

Food is amazing ! So fresh and tasty good size portions , the driver is the best too .

The food there was great and for a good price. Me and Mum got excellent service and the worker was very kind to us. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend it.

New to Portobello high Street, Fusion is already churning out order after order as it grows in popularity. Food is top notch, fresh ingredients, traditional Hong Kong style udon and satay noodles are highly recommended. Bit of a wait if its a walk in but its worth it!

Really quick service, great food!

Glad to see new noodle bar on Portobello, and our first takeaway was not a disappointment. Friendly, prompt service, tasty food from a diverse menu. We especially liked the spicy cauliflower!

My new favourite place. Had our second delivery tonight - Tom Yum Noodle Box (mixed meat) and Satay Noodle Box (chicken). Both were delicious. Meats were lovely and tender. Veg was fresh and crunchy. Sauces gorgeous. I made a mistake with my order and they were so helpful and helping. Highly recommend. Thanks Fusion!

First time food was amazing piping hot so tasty

The food is surprisingly delicious!!! Staff are very friendly. Will visit it again for sure!
