Sinnamon Coffee in Belfast

Called in with family who sat at a vacant table while I went to join queue at till. Informed by staff that it was first come first served and my family then had to leave the table. Appears to be a new rule in place as I have been a loyal customer for several years and this is the first I have been aware of this rule. Just making other groups of customers aware that you all need to queue and order before attempting to get a table.

Stopped here for a quick lunch and coffee with my husband. Service was super fast. Coffee was excellent - served in a big mug that felt like it had been preheated, as it should! I got a large and it stayed hot to the very last drop and was served at just the right drinking temperature which didn't give me mouth burns. Seems to be a dying art in coffee establishments these days, difficult to find the perfect serve! Ordered paninis for lunch - again served perfectly and were very tasty. Could have done with napkins being provided with the cutlery as we had to ask for them eventually. This was the only niggle. Definitely would return for more coffee and a treat next time as the apple pie looked amazing!

Everything is great but I just want to let you guys know that I've got the matcha coffee twice and it tastes like fish. This happens when you make matcha coffee wrong by heating it up too much or using a bad quality matcha. Maybe you guys should buy a different type or Google how to properly make it because both times I got the matcha latte it genuinely tastes like fish and I can't drink it. Easily fixed though

Sinnamon Coffee is a great little coffee shop in the heart of Stranmillis. We shared a coffee and a bacon/sausage bap as we were in a hurry but it was all really good! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I visit Belfast regularly and go daily to Sinnamon. Enjoy the welcome and chats with the staff. I always oder the same toasted sandwich and the staff dont mind me having my own combination of fillings. I recommend their flat white coffee. No matter who makes it the standard is consistent unlike other coffee shops where it depends who makes it. I wish the kitchen stayed open after 3pm and they didnt close at 7pm

We liked the atmosphere in this relatively small cafe in the student district of Belfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, the vegetable soup was good, served with two generous slices of wheaten bread. The soup could however have been served just a little warmer.

Club sandwich’s bread was stale and lacking mayo. Service was slow. Used to be a favourite. Has gone downhill with each order.

Enjoyed an espresso in this smart cafe with funky red, white & grey chairs and 'sink into sofas'. Next time I will try the vegan sausage rolls.

What a wonderful coffee house, comfortable and a great atmosphere, buzzing! Had a wonderful scrambled egg with smoked salmon on the most fabulously fresh and light wheaten bread. First time here and very impressed.

I was in while waiting for family members to finish a class in the forum. Tables and floors were incredibly dirty. Staff preferred to chat and muck about out the back. Was there for an hour and no member of staff came out to the restaurant floor to check so nothing was cleaned. Also, they have the air conditioning on full blast, when it's chilly outside and doesn't need to be on. Tried to contact head office but have had no response.

Acussed of trying not to pay when infact they didnt take my payment at time of order as I was cleaning a chair table and baby chair and placing my 9 month in them then had to go back get my coffee as no one offered to bring down to me in the confusion no payment was taken. A girl was sent down with a receipt but neglated to mention it needed to be paid i thought this was my receipt for the coffee and food that i had paid for as i have done my whole Life before sitting down. As i was getting ready to go a staff memeber came and said you need to pay ur bill and turned her back saying i just walked off and didnt pay infront of customers like i was some sort of creighton to which i asked what the problem was it was a simple mistake and paid with my card. I called Joanne an Owner but have recieved no feedback and will not be back there as a result.

Great selection of ice cream and tray bakes and reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere, however experience let down by poor service (staff needed prompting on two occasions to bring items that had been paid for and not given) while male member of staff was particularly unfriendly deliberately avoiding eye contact and dialogue with is as we left. He is clearly not cut out for a job in hospitality.

After a lovely walk on the towpath we called in for a coffee and crunchy cheesecake (which is amazing). The cafe was busy as usual as it was a lovely evening but I was struck again by how many tables were occupied by people who had bought one cup of coffee and then settled for the evening without any thought for other customers. Most sofas were occupied by a well stretched out individual with laptop acting as if they were at home and glaring at anyone daring to consider asking them to move some of their strewn belongings to allow them to sit down. Whilst I appreciate the cafe culture perhaps an acceptable period should be established and then dirty dishes promptly lifted by staff with a “can I get you something else” question asked of the individuals who are neither adding to the takings or the friendliness of the establishment! Since they have no thought for other diners and no shame of their own. It is a problem which needs addressed by management as it is spoiling a lovely cafe and I am not alone in noticing this 😕

Sinnamon is a fantastic little coffee shop and superior to the numerous chain coffee stores around the city. The service is always polite and friendly and coffee made to perfection every time. A firm favourite that I will continue to visit.
