This restaurant is on my doorstep but I did not know it existed. I went with my wife and another couple. They had been before. I had Prawns Puri and would have it again - delicious! My second course was a spiced-up (my request) lamb dish. I really enjoyed it. The rest of us enjoyed their meals and our waitress was very helpful and gave good service and attention. The ambience was good and we shall definitely going go again. Not overpriced and very good value. An easy five stars.

Just moved into the area so we thought we would try our local Indian restaurant for a takeaway. Very pleased. It took 30 minutes from order to collection. When I turned up, I was greeted with a friendly smile and "Hello, how are you?" and a brief chat while our food was bagged up. And the food itself was first class and it larger portions than we were expecting (we've saved half of the meat dishes for another day!) All in all, very pleased and will certainly be calling in again.

Nice food, presented well but the mature waiter played world wrestling, Italian football and Asian music constantly flipping between them at full volume on his phone ALL THE TIME, even when he was trying to take my food order. Also wished he’d not sniffed and coughed so much. Doubt I’ll be returning. Really annoying when you’re trying to relax over a meal after work.

We had no plans for christmas dinner... Feeling low as lost a family memberin April. Went to see lights in Warrington, our six years old son suggested to eat at a restaurant. We called Sindh as it was recommended by a fruend. A quite, down to earth restaurant where every customer is valued as a family member. I think it was the owner serving us with a big smile, talking to our son. Placed two xmas cracker. Mo alcohol served YOUMAY CARRY FROM HOME. Customer may feel a bit laid back, but another perspective is he does not make money by selling a pint for £5, he is not greedy. Dhaal puri and paneer mushroom were PERFECT, VERY MOUTH WATERING, If you are from India, you will get the homelike taste. Less oil too. Naan was freshly made and soft. Chapati was soft and my son relished it. No extra charge for ketchup, as my son lives on it, we needed more ketchup. Paneer cuery eas extraordinary. Just like homemade. They offered a free piece of cake to my son and a box of chocolates. This was a surprising experience. A beautiful, memorable treat on an unplanned day.

Bit of a strange one tonight. Checked trip advisor for a good Indian on my travel as a briny know the area. This one had good reviews, walked in mask on etc at just after 6pm and asked a table for one. Place was completely empty. Response . Sorry can’t fit u in 😂 have to laugh .. maybe it was my manc accent.. didn’t even offer any other time ... guessing he could be bothered. Never mind one star well done and won’t be recommending! We’ve been regular customers for a long time both eating in and taking out - the food is lovely. We stopped ordering for a while due to the rude man that works there. However, we have been back again ordering and eating in because we support our local businesses through these times. NOT after tonight will I order again! Rang at 9.45 to be told no we are closed- why pick up the phone if you’re closed?! A sorry we’re closed and can’t take any orders would be better customer service if indeed you want to pick up the phone when you’re closed!! You need to change your closing times if you are now closing before 10pm. I would have thought in the world today you would have a better business attitude! Sorry but you’ve lost our custom - again down to that one staff member. Very disappointed.

I have seen it coming for a couple of weeks as have had a meal delivered every week. All of the Chinese restaurants and takeaway is have stopped, 12 of them so the other takeaway’s are getting busy. It is noticeable that the orders have been incorrect, last week it was not hot. This week we got the wrong sauce and my korma went in the bin. Please stay as you were, a fantastic Indian takeaway and restaurant. Don’t get competitive and try to take on more than you can manage – I really like your takeaway, service, restaurant. My order took 2 1/2 hours tonight – I really want to continue to give you business but you must stop taking on too much or you will lose all your business. You have been a fantastic restaurant for as long as I can remember.

The third instalment for the curry crew brought us to Woolstons own ‘The Sindh’. The curry crew were excited yet apprehensive as none of the members had visited recently. First of all the bring your own booze policy went down well with the curry crew after being shafted for drinks at a well known curry house in town a few weeks prior. (We won’t say any names but it’s next to Sainsbury’s and almost rhymes with sausage.) the shop on the same row was visited and the drinks were stocked up for the night. We were seated immediately in a small and intimate environment which would have been lovely however just lacked a bit of atmosphere for a Friday night. Popadoms were served straight away, decent enough popadom however the chutney tray lacked that bit of flavour we have experienced elsewhere. Starters were the biggest cause for discussion as every member rated these differently, the onion bhajis were a little overdone, the vegetable samosa lacked flavour however there was a special mention for the chicken makai which received high praise indeed. Now on to the mains which received solid ratings all round , the manchor lived up to the hype on the menu as a ‘splendid dish’. The chicken and lamb used in these dishes received compliments all round. The Nan bread also was a highlight of the meal , great flavour and not a bland bit of bread in sight.Overall the Curry Crew went for a 3.5/5 not a bad rating at all under such scrutiny, an enjoyable night was had and would definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

Ate here one evening whilst travelling on business and I didn’t know the area. Seems to be popular with the locals and offers a ‘Bring your own drink’ rather than selling alcohol itself. We visited this Indian restaurant on the night of 28th Oct. We were the first to arrive but it quickly filled up by people who appear to be regulars. The atmosphere was friendly and that included the staff. We ordered chicken biryani which was very lovely. It wasn't as spicy as we expected so my wife asked for the chef to spice it up. What came back was exceptionally mouth-watering. As we weren't locals we didn't realise that the punters are allowed to bring their own drinks. Everyone had their own bottle, except us; we had a glass of water and orange juice respectively. We left full and pleasantly satisfied. It was money well spent as it wasn't terribly expensive.

The food was as always excellent, staff attentive and a great time had by all! Great thing about this place too is that it is not licensed, making a great budget night out! This little gem of a restaurant is in the most unlikeliest place! A small row of about 5 local shops 1 of which is a 'Late Shop' another is a chippy & then there is the Sindh. The food is amazing, so delicious & such a great variety of dishes. They are also willing to make you something that may not be on the menu. The madras is one of the best dishes, my husband loves it& has it every time we get a takeaway. We have sat down in the restaurant but we mainly get a takeaway. I mostly choose something different each time & I've never had a bad curry apart from when I had a very spicy dish which I couldn't eat. The policy of bring your own booze is great, with no corkage charge so fill your boots & head on down there, Latif, the owner, is a top bloke & is very attentive. His son was in the same class as my daughter & I had visions of her & him getting together & us being fed curries for the rest of our lives but I don't think that is going to happen!!

5-5 30th October 2024. ‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took both Hubby Neil and I to ‘Bombay 8’ from which we both have said it’s the BEST Indian dinner we have EVER had and believe you and me, we tried a lot of different restaurants, we been to Bombay 8 many times before and it just seems to get better and better!!! Our Dinner this evening was totally OUTSTANDING!! The staff were all so very pleasant indeed, I’m gutted I didn’t get the names of our servers, a young gentleman with a beard, short hair was very well groomed and pretty lady with long dark hair and beautiful nails!!, they were totally professional, attentive and very well mannered, they gave us outstanding service and are a complete credit to this establishment….. thank you. Starters: We both had ‘Bombay special mixed platter’: Chicken tikka, lamb chop, sheek kebab and garlic chicken, garnished with crispy salad, 2 side dishes of sauce, one of which was a chilli jam, we mentioned it to our gentleman server and he brought over 2 takeaway tubs full of the chilli jam for us, we were so grateful, it was very kind of him and he said he made it himself! Absolutely Delicious! Entrée’s: Neil had Lamb chop Frango, tender grilled lamb chops cooked in a spicy thick sauce, with yellow lentils, chillies, garlic, ginger and coriander, all together created a rich spiced sauce…… I had Tandoori mixed Korai, which was tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, sheek kebab with chunks of tomatoes, red and green peppers, with a rich thick sauce (I asked this to be Madras hot, it was PERFECT.) garnished with spring onion and coriander….. We both had Bombay special rice each. To share: a bowl of chips and Peshwari naan bread… Total compliments to the chefs…..you are all very talented in your work…. Thank you. All the dishes were perfect and it was all completely faultless. The restaurant has been recently decorated and all the servers uniforms were pristine. Well done Bombay 8, the manager came over and said hello too….. your restaurant is a credit to you and your staff. Thank you. Big question? Will we be back?? What do you think!!!!
