We decided to try some other main meals from our usual ones. Asked for the Jalfrezi and Shahi to be hotter than they usually come when placing the order. The request was passed onto the chefs who produced two quality dishes with that little bit extra. Owner/waiter more than happy to offer recommendations. Now what to have next....

Food is lovely. My husband says its the best curry he has ever eaten but the service and attitude from the owner is awful. My husband actually asked him “why are you so angry?”. He 💯 does not want to be there and you can tell! (We only came in for a takeaway). Noticed his attitude the last couple of times we have been in but it’s gradually gotten worse. We will not be spending our money in there ever again!

Hard to beat on price, choice and quality. Not a big flashy place but gets the job done and very well. Up there as one of the best in Warrington. Try the Chicken Tikka Shahi, you won't be disappointed.

Its always good and its always great value. Its the best curry house in Warrington. Anyone who appreciates consistently good food will love it.

The behaviour of the Staff are disgusting,they dont know how to serv customers. One of staff named malekh,in front of me he tortured a kitchen staff.

We have been coming here a few times a month for a lot of years. Never disappointed. The food and service never changes, consistently great value. Incredibly reasonably priced. We come here with family, friends, on our own or with neighbours. You really must eat here, all round five out of five

I moved to America 20 years ago from warrington, and Lalkila will always be my first meal when I come home and last meal before we leave. Always the same order, chicken Tikka massala, chicken madras, chicken Korma, chips, rice, poppadoms, Naan. Going in is lovely, always great service and the delivery is fantastic too. Always recommend this to anyone who is in warrington looking for a good curry. Hand down my favorite place to eat

We visited here as we had TA’d local Indian restaurants in the area as I was here for work purposes. We could not believe the set menu £10.75 was an absolute bargain for 3 courses. Food was really good quality too

Visited with friends and had a brilliant curry. I had the chicken Karahi and it was delicious. Great service and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is one of the best in Warrington (in our opinion) . The food is delicious and the meal deal they offer is so cheap. You get poppadoms & chutneys, mixed starter, any curry with rice or chips and a naan all for less than you would pay for just a curry anywhere else. This place should be packed out, I have no idea why it isn't. This is our go to Indian restaurant, it never disappoints.

Been to eat here again tonight and it was delicious as always. I just can't believe that this place isn't packed out. The food is so good and the set meal is so cheap, you'd pay more just for a curry anywhere else.

We've never been to Lalkilla before but we were later coming back from holiday than expected so decided to call in while driving past. It was a Thursday night with a few tables in but about 4/5 people waiting for takeaways. We were told it would be about 25 minutes which we didn't mind waiting for. However a couple who literally ordered before us became impatient after 10 minutes having also been told 25 minutes. In the end the food took about 20 minutes. All I can say is that I wouldn't have minded waiting the full 25 minutes as the food was fantastic. We ordered a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi and a Butter Chicken. It's been a long time since we had an authentic butter chicken. Nice to see yellow pilau rice and the garlic/keema naan bread are up there with beat we've ever had. Please don't be put off by a slightly longer waiting time vs a standard takeaway. You can always ring up in advance to pre order, which we'll be doing next time. Also, I wouldn't take notice of 1 start reviews as it's not a true reflection and sometimes you have to wait a little longer for great food.

Got a take away . Possibly the WORST Indian I have ever had . Masala was tasteless , chicken used was poor quality . Lamb Shahi was awful , meat tasteless and cheap cut . The lamb chop starter was gristly . Tandoori mix starter was also less than average . Garlic Naan was more like Garlic pizza bread . Paid £29 was not worth £10 !!! Can't believe the 5* reviews , as I would be pushed to give it 1* . Even the popadoms were not cooked properly . Never Again .

Much improved since last time. Had Saturday special. It was delicious. When its good its really good. A very unique taste no other has been able to replicate.

The best Indian 🇮🇳 and Iv been them all! Unbelievably cheap compared to most but the food is 5*, you won’t be disappointed.

This is an excellent restaurant. The food is amazing. We chose a lovely wine to go with our meal. The owner of the restaurant is extremely attentive, nothing is too much trouble. The food is really tasty. Very good price, really cheap . Ronnie the waiter is very nice and will help you with the menu choices. Good value for money.

Lalkilla is one of the older restaurants in Warrington, and is worth a visit. If you're on a budget, the food is good value for money. The owner is friendly and chatted to us at the end of our meal. Whilst good value, the atmosphere was non-existent as we were the only people in there! Overall, a good meal for those who's budgets are a bit smaller.

Great food the staff are friendly and helpful the decor is in need of attention but it's Great value 👍

Have been past this place for years and always gone other places for a curry , what a mistake it was the best curry I have had for ages and best value for money also , will definetly be going again.

I live in Wigan ,and this restaurant was recommended by friends. So glad that we took the invitation. The meal Was superb.Lamb Madras ,Onion bhaji,Chicken tikka Roganjosh & pappadoms. Great service from the owner. The only reason why I didn’t give the atmosphere the full 5 stars. Is because the restaurant is pretty small.I have no problem driving back to this place as it is one of the most delicious restaurants to enjoy Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine. Very. clean too.

Although Lalkilla has been around for circa 30 years, I'm relatively a newcomer, as only discovered within the last couple of years. During my time coming, I've recommended this place to various family and friends, who have all enjoyed their visit. I've recently started to explore the menu a bit more and have some more of the traditional dishes such as Jalfrezi, Bhuna etc... It's safe to say you just don't get the traditional curry at many other places. I won't name other places, but 99% of them have the same basic curry base, all look the same, and don't actually differ that much in taste. Then they put some fancy garnish on top and call it a "special" Highllights from the menu at Lalkilla are the spiced parkora, allo chaana, chicken phal, garlic/keema naan, the chips and the korma sauce.

Went in for the special. Couldn't have been better. A proper authentic Indian restaurant. Spotlessly clean and the owner couldn't do enough for us. Very polite and well mannered. The food was perfect. The portions are more than enough and we'll presented. We thoroughly recommend lalkilla.

The person in the restaurant dine in area was very rude I don't know why he give menu when he don't want to give anything from the menu. We asked for the vegetarian food which also available in the menu. We've been setting thes for 10-15 mins and asked for the food. Whatever we were ordering he was denying then we asked is there any vegetarian option, he replied in a very rude way, we don't serve vegetarian go out find something for yourself somewhere else.

Absolutely fantastic Indian food, all cooked fresh. The aloo chana and spiced pakora starters taste amazing. Usually have a phal as not too spicy here and full of flavour, but enjoy the vindaloo and shahi too. If you want an old school Indian at an incredible price this place is second to none, highly recommend.

Small family run restaurant, food was excellent the place was a little old skool and quirky but, great value.

Been there 2night for the very first time. I am so surprised at the quality of the food and the service. I have been to Goa a good few times and as every one knows it always looks different but believe it tasted fabulous there was nothing any trouble to the gentleman who looked after use I think the people who were already eating called him By his first name and him being a very obliging man except this so to me that is respect for the gentleman and the place. Try with no regret xxx

Owner rude and dismissive. We also heard him treating other customers rudely. Food amongst the worst i have ever had. Starters dry and tasteless, curry swimming in oil. Clearly didn't want to sell from the 9.95 special menu. Can't believe all the good trip advisor reviews.

The restaurant was neat and clean and the Indian food was also awesome.

Consistently ranked in the top 5% out of 250 local restaurants on trip advisor. Same owner for 30 plus years. One of if not the best Indian restaurant within the local area, certainly nothing in Warrington comes close.

Been many times with the mrs, always leave very satisfied, if we ever go to another Indian, The lalkilla is the benchmark we compare them to! But none ever come close in value for money!

Three stars for the young waiter Probably these white 5 star reviewers have never tried the real south asian dishes :) Anyway, I ordered lamb biryani. It wasnt really tasteful. Also, I had asked for a spicy one, still it wasnt spicy. The elder guy, had a rude or strange attitude.

Always a fine meal at Lalkilla. After trying various places in Warrington I've always been disappointed when it comes to traditional. Forget your fancy "chef specials" if you want a fantastic Biriyani, Vindaloo and Phal then this is the place. If you're one for extreme heat then the Tindaloo is for you. Will continue to visit as there's no point going elsewhere, spending more money, just to say "I wish I went Lalkilla"

Great food, quick service. It does look a little grubby to be fair, but if you can look passed the state of the interior - the food is really good. Waiter is a little arrogant, and dressed like he's ready to head to bed but again, we looked passed this and enjoyed the food. One of the better Indians we've had.

We have been regular customers of this restaurant for many years. The food in terms of flavour, consistency and quantity is amazing. The service is axcellent. The owner Ronnie is very friendly and attentive. They offer a special set meal for £10.95 which is fabulous. Without doubt a great place to eat Indian Curry.

If you love Indian food, you can't go wrong at Lalkilla. The food itself was of excellent quality. The amount you get from the offered deals is another level. The owner is a right character with a dry sense of humour. All round great eating out experience. Highly recommended. Will be difficult keeping away.

Come here all the time and I have never been disappointed in every visit here food is always really hot and really well cooked I would advise anyone to come and try the lalkilla for anything on the menu it really wont disappoint

The food was very nice, good value for money and served promptly. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, they only really spoke to us apart from to take the order as we were leaving, it wasn’t busy when we were in there.
