Sinbads in Argyll & Bute

Very friendly staff, pool table, juke box, garden area covered, usual selection of drinks, normal prices. Good location on the high street.

Sinbads is well known in Dunoon as it is a very popular local bar. Fitted with a computer slot machine, pool table, jukebox and outdoor area for sitting and a smoking area. The bar has the normal range of drinks for the area. The atmosphere is lively and everyone gets to know each other in there.

As part of out visit to Dunoon we popped into this wee local pub. Very busy although staff coped very well, albeit they were using plastic glasses due to the huge numbers of passing trade! Good range of drinks, fairly average prices and they have a decent beer garden too. Toilets due to the passing trade could have been cleaner and better stocked.

Great bar and people best in Dunoon..Had a great Friday night 29/7/22 Music on jukebox and chatting to everyone all so friendly, till very late..

We ... a collective of punks ..have been visiting Dunoon for 4 years to attend a punk festival, and we always frequent this pub , its friendly , resonably priced with a small beer garden and a decent jukebox, all the staff are friendly and they do decent Guinness

Stopped off for drinks after eating else where. Great atmosphere & the bar staff Kieran very friendly & gave us some local information on the area etc. Only popped in for one so the saying goes. But stayed a lot longer due to the atmosphere & feel of the place

A busy pub with good mix of customers, but leaning towards the younger crowd as a whole so only stayed for one, as we felt old!! Good professional door staff, and necessary I would say for there! Worth a quick drink if visiting

Visited this bar when on holiday in Dunoon. The bar was kept very clean due to Covid, staff sanitised every table and chair when people left. The bar staff were friendly and gave quick table service. The toilets weren’t dirty, but could do with a refurb. We enjoyed a few drinks in Sinbads, however it was over shadowed by a few locals sat at the bar. The language that came out their mouths was disgusting, and never were they asked to stop swearing. I am no prude, but the filthy language spoilt an otherwise nice afternoon.

Good pub ,friendly characterful locals,can be busy at weekends especially summer .Good range of beers. Outside area to rear(smoking)

Cheap drinks, nice cocktails, lovely staff! There was also a jukebox with every song you could ever want to play and a pretty nice pool table. The only downside was that the pool table was in the middle of the floor, next to some high tables and there were a group of guys constantly in the way when we were trying to play pool - a reflection on them and their ignorance, not on the bar. Spent a fair few hours in here on a Saturday night, very busy but altogether a good atmosphere for a good night out!

Dunoon was really quite on Saturnday tea time but Sinbad's was buzzing. we only stayed for two drinks but couldn't believe how cheap it was, under £7 for a pint and a mini prosecco. Very nice bar staff and a great atmosphere. Well recommended!

Quirky setup,pirate styled as the name goes, friendly staff, good prices, have music, pool table and outside area, open till 2am at weekends, not that id be around at that time,clean,good selection of drinks and quite popular in the town, one of the better pubs to visit

Visited for a couple of pints in the afternoon after the guy in a shop across the road recommended it. Quirky decor, which was spotless. Was made to feel welcome. The barmaid was very friendly. We returned later in the evening after dinner for another couple and was great. Very welcoming and highly recommended if you are looking for a friendly pub. Oh, and a great pint of Guinness

Lovely little pub with good selection of drinks. Lovely wee seated area at the back when the sun is shining.

This pub has an excellent dukebox,pool table,staff and locals are freindly and the prices are fair,in summertime you can sit outside and there is a carpark at the rear

Staff and regulars are very friendly and the music was good too. Guys had a game of pool and the ladies a dance, what more could you ask for??

Out in a Saturday night and as the night goes on the fuller it gets. Plenty of people ,pool table and good bar staff. Better if your younger as this is an later part of the night meet up place in dunoon.

Stopped here for a few afternoons beverages as it was the first pub we seen on the street , bar staff friendly and polite , great little boozer

Popped in here to get out of the rain on a quick trip to Dunoon; it was a bit basic, small and with a pool table right there in the middle of the bar, but staff were pleasant and friendly and it kept us warm and dry during the downpour! It did have a beer garden so I imagine it would have been quite nice to sit out there if the weather had been better.

Trying hard to brighten up with the decor but a poor choice of drinks let's this town centre bar down. Pool table is a plus. Staff try hard.

A client loved the coffee, so good when they do that, I'm enjoying the Moretti birra, now to get to work x

I recently visited Dunoon for four days and tried several pubs. Sinbads was nice and had some great people to talk with, but there seems to be a time when the music starts blasting and talking becomes impossible. Still, a pretty great place to stop in for a pint.

Previously stated probably dirtiest pub in Dunoon....but pleased to say has since had makeover....much the same layout but décor freshened up and toilets gutted and replaced. Hugh improvement....well done

The bar was quite quiet which makes a change these day's The service was good and good selection of drinks.

This is a local bar on the main street and fairly well supported by locals on the day we visited. The staff friendly prices ok but there it ends. The place is dismal the toilets are a disgrace how it is allowed to operate am not sure. Given their state one wonders what the kitchens are like I for one would do without. There are a fair number of bars in Dunoon.......all will be better than here

Went here for a few drinks while staying in Dunoon for the weekend, the minute we walked in we felt like locals, the staff where so friendly, only downside is toilets are a bit smelly

We and our wee dogs were made very welcome, beer good and cold. Staff were very friendly we will return again.

This pub let Dunoon down it was filthy Went in used the toilet it was a disgrace if you are a Rangers supporter stay well clear some of the songs they were playing were terrible I was never as glad to get out of this pub it should be closed down.

Visited this pub with friends. Very outdated and tired. The bar was filthy as was the rest of the pub. Staff ok. DO NOT VISIT THE TOILETS WITHOUT A GAS MASK. Toilets seemed clean however the smell of urine is overwhelming. We complained to the bar staff who told us the pub is being renovated in 2 weeks. Might go back if it gets renovated however would not recommend until this has been done.

You cannot visit Dunoon and not pay a visit to Sinbads. One of the busiest pubs in town. Everytime we visit, we go to this very popular place. The local people are down to earth and very friendly. We have always had someone come over to have a chat. We have noticed as well there is all kinds of nationalities visiting. That says a lot. Please pay this place a visit and have a good time

The pub its self was alright, a strange decor of old scuffed parts, newer looking seats and the strange feeling your sitting in a pirate ship.

Walked in ordered a drink didnt finish it. Dirty carpets and fittings, strong smell of urine. Staff were friendly but the place needs a major overhaul

We were new to Dunoon but found the staff and customers in Sinbads were both friendly and welcoming, we'd visit again

Visited this establishment and were delighted to learn that we could take our dogs in too. The pub is right on the main thoroughfayre and convenient for a pit stop after a busy day shopping in town.

I think this would be good place for young people, when I was there with some friends the music was very loud, I believe they have live music.

Had a great time in here with lots of great people great atmosphere brilliant jukebox, would defo be our first port of call next visit xx

We seen this pub in passing and made a point of going back as it looked very quaint and inviting and we were right in doing so. We got talking to a few of the locals who were all lovely, the girl behind the bar was also very friendly.

Went in for a drink and some lunch but unfortunately don't sell food any more but were told that there was no objection to us bringing in a sandwich or something which could be purchased in a shop a few doors down . Bought a delicious sandwich and crisps from the bar and stayed for another few drinks. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

we only went in for drink girl behind bar frienldly served quickly and discovered they had a beer garden nice sun trap so we had a few drinks and sat outside we will return

very quiet place, although it was midweek, friendly girl behind bar, all they had was Tennents lager or Stella lager, not a lover of any of them, could have more of a selection

Always a warm welcome in here, have been a regular visitor for about 5 years now, great atmosphere and good staff 😊

Went out for lunch with my wife both had cheese burgers which were very over cooked as if been deep fried then cooked in microwave would have been better with rustler burgers cos they are bigger aswell

A lovely place to go with friendly atmosphere and great food and value for money, good place to get quite chat for a business lunch 🍴 🍷
