Simply Java Coffee Lounge in Croydon

Visited today for brunch, and it was delicious as usual. We are regulars here and they serve an excellent Eggs Benedict! Really lovely cosy cafe with quirky decor, and the owners are charming. Great little local cafe.

This is a lovely little cafe with great choices of food and drinks, hot or cold. Great for the family too.

We hired out Simply Java for a baby shower with afternoon tea served at a very reasonable price per head. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and every dietary need was catered for. Not only that but decorations and games were provided along with wonderful customer service. I wound highly recommend Simply Java for any parties; all the hard work was done for us! Fantastic quality food and coffee and great service. Hard to decide what to have as there's so much on the menu that looks good. It's really nicely decorated with a warm feel. I don't know why anyone would bother going down the road to have a rubbish overpriced Starbucks.

Have now called in here regularly for past few months on business meetings, tried the tasty spicy jerk chicken however their Jamaican patties take some beating. Everything is always chilled with Sade playing in the background and great service as ever

A few months ago I discovered this place by chance. I really think that this is what "The Good Place" will be like ..it's just a little bubble of perfection. Last time I met the most polite person I've ever met, this time I met his Mum and I can see where he gets his good manners. Seriously this is one of those places where it's so good you feel it's a shame to leave. If this is where you start your day then the the sun will shine for you regardless of the weather outside.

Popped in here for a coffee and cake really friendly staff. Great coffee and cake would come again and would recommend. Easy to park outside. Really quirky decoration too :))

We paid this absolute gem of a coffee shop a visit this weekend as we heard so much about it. It was wonderful and the owners were so warm and welcoming it’s clear they are passionate about what they do! I was meeting up with old work colleagues so it was the perfect place for a good old natter and the ambience was really warm and inviting. The afternoon teas were so so yummy and really quite different with variety. I am a vegan so I really appreciated the trouble gone to to make sure I had a beautiful vegan afternoon tea just for me... which I devoured! It was also very reasonable, you get a lot for your money‘s worth! We got really fun cocktails, Ferraro roche chocolate shots and really lovely beautifully presented herbal teas! I could not recommend this place highly enough and I will be back again with my hubby and family!

Been here numerous times now for lunch and also breakfast. Sandwiches are great, as are the smoothies and there is always some delicious freshly baked treat to tempt you with too. Lovely, family run independent business which is well worth a visit with a friend or just on your own for some relaxation over a cup of coffee.

The Simply Java Coffe Lounge is a small, independent and beautifully decorated coffee shop, which knocks spots off the 'corporate' competitor just along the road. The bench seats covered in recycled jeans are a brilliant idea and they stock a range of books that customers are able to take away. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the service is excellent. I haven't sampled the food yet although it looks fresh and there's a good selection available. The other reviews are complimentary about the breakfasts, so I'll have to try... I understand they are planning on serving afternoon teas in the near future.

We Had breakfast on sunday with my wife. This was our first visit but will 100% be on our way back again. The service was great nothing was a problem or to much for them. The food was fresh and cooked very well. Also the coffee was great this place is worth a visit. Les and beth

My family and I love this place! We first visited when it opened to show support but the menu keeps on making us go back for more. Each time we go we see something else we want to try. From the fabulous all day breakfasts to the mean green smoothie we love it! Added to that the ambience is great due to the lovely decor and the super friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!

Recently opened (30 May), this delightful and quirky coffee shop sells much more besides a fabulous range of coffees. You can have anything from a full English breakfast (served all day, I might add!) - prepared with health in mind ... so no frying - through to delicious muffins and cakes. Fresh fruit, healthy smoothies, scrumptious sandwich fillings, all home made by the owner and her family.

I visited Simply Java Lounge one week day morning with my 8 month old baby. Luckily for me it was napping time for baby so I got a really relaxed visit. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by chilled, soulful music. The decor is urban chic and very unique. The benches are made using jeans as the upholstery, the lights are made out of upside down teacups. There are lots of little added extras which make it quirky. There is a seating area where children can sit and read or play, they also offer fruit shoots. I had the Chocolate and Beetroot cupcake which was delicious, it was very moist and gluten free, there is a great selection of homemade cakes. The coffee is also great, a lovely smooth flavour. They have baby changing facilities and a high chair. The best part of the whole experience was the service from the gentleman behind the counter, he was very friendly, smiley and welcoming and offered me a free apple to take home. Can't wait to go back here for a coffee soon.

I was introduced to this lovely cafe by my friend who had been here previously for breakfast. It is located near the end of the M23 and is on a small parade of shops on the A23 near the BP garage. The decor is lovely with jeans covering all f the bench seats. there is a gorgeous little comfy seating area and lots of books that you could borrow if you wished. The breakfast was lovely and piping hot. I hate cold food so, for me, this was great. I also asked for a weak black coffee. Simple instructions, but, surprisingly, many restaurants cannot manage it. Not here - my coffee was delicious and just how I like it. Friendly staff and space to park outside. To add to my pleasure there was mellow jazz playing in the background. A real find.
