Simons Fish & Chips in Northumberland

This is our go to for a quick, tasty Chinese. Every meal has tasted great. Especially love the curry sauce, blackbean and chop suey rolls. Love the fact you get chippy chips with a Chinese as well. Chippy part is also good, good priced fish and chips. Battered burger is unreal!

First time ordering Chinese at this place and it was strange, obviously the chips were chippy chips, but with the Chinese food, it just didn’t seem right. You could taste and smell the fryer, which obviously put me off… I think the chippy would be lovely, but the Chinese side is a no from me, tastes to much like a chippy

1st time here and lived in Ashington all my life. Since the golden flower went down hill I have been trying different Chinese takeaways and this 1 tonight was absolutely spot on. Salt and pepper chicken fried rice and curry sauce 👍👌I think I have found my new Chinese takeaway.

Got chicken and char Sui curry with chips and it’s the worst meal I’ve ever had the chips were like wood clippings and the char Sui was all fatty and grissle and chicken was slimey, will never go there again

I've been going to Simon's for many years now and find it great value for money, really friendly staff

I love this takeaway, I come from the other side of Ashington and it’s my favourite I dream about the curry sauce as I sleep at night and it keeps me going. I just wish they did delivery.

Best chip shop in ashington and best Chinese. Rare to find a shop that even does one right never mind both. Owners are great and remember my preference with vegetables I like. Zero faults with this place.

A good local take away, Simon is a bit heavy on the MSG but portions are good and tasty.

Excellent food fish chip; chineas.

Curry sauce had to much salt in it was inedible binned it, chips were shrivelled and dry (they looked like yesterday's reheated)they were horrible binned them,the fish was ok. I will not be using this shop again.

Highly recommended. Simons' fish and chips are our favourite for flavour, price and portion size. Recently we had guests and decided to order Chinese food. What a feast, every meal was tasty, meat tender, plentiful and delicious. We'll be back!

The fish is the best I have had for a good while and way to many chips, come's in hand when the wife says she doesn't want any.
