Silver Marlin Fish Bar, Carlton, Nottingham in Gedling

Having to heat your takeaway up is never a good sign. Our normal takeaway was shut so our Daughter in law recommended. We will not order again.

Best Chinese iv had in year and enuff chow mein to feed 2 people big portions lovely food kind delivery drivers very friendly place and quality food as I say its good Chinese and the taste is excellent as I say it would fred 2 people easy and the shop is brilliant 2 and very clean

All the food was cold when it arrived,chicken balls was very pink, rice hard and cold, chips stale,curry and crispy beef was not nice,this place was recommended to us and I found it very disappointing, would not order from here again

Ordered here from recommendation and unfortunately the food was terrible. Chips old and dry, crispy beef was like rubber and rice wasn't great either. Heard good things about this place but won't be re trying. Waited 40 minutes for delivery and to say I was disappointed is an understatement

We go here whenever we fancy a take away. The salt and pepper mixed box is amazing quality for money. We always have it! Definitely recommend for quality food.

I would be prepared to travel a long way for a chippy this good ...in my opinion as good as they come

Sadly this is the last month to have beautifully crisp golden fish cooked by the lovely couple for the last 37 years! As always the fish is freshly prepared as you enter, big fillets and generous portions of chips. The current owners will be teaching the new owners so hopefully the excellent standard will continue. I am sure all the regulars will want to wish a wonderful retirement to the owners and thank them for all the fantastic meals for the last 4 decades. I will miss them, having been going there since they started. Best wishes for the future

First visit of the new year, my last fish and chips was at the seaside. The quantity and portion size is up there with the very best. This is fish and chips done right by people with a passion for their food and customer service. Lovely staff. Why go anywhere else if you are in the area, in fact there are 4 others I have to pass to get there!

The best fish and chips in the area, always cooked fresh when you arrive, perfect golden batter and very generous fillets of fish, I drive past 3 others to buy my fish and chips, and well worth the extra few miles. A delightful cheery couple who have run this excellent shop for a long time.

Had the pleasure of this fab fish & chip shop being my" local" since I moved to the area in 1995. A traditional chippy with a menu offering freshly prepared traditional chip shop fayre, Fish , chips, pies, sausages, peas etc ,not forgetting the amazing curry sauce. All this topped with excellent customer service makes it one of the best if not the best Fish & Chip shops in Nottingham. Don't just take my word for it ,ask the eager customers waiting outside for it to open that travel from all parts of Nottinghamshire to sample these tasty offerings. Word of warning though : don't turn up at midnight expecting a kebab , it's not that kind of establishment (thankfully ) . No kebabs n it closes at 10pm. Thats what makes it so special & is the success story it is today after all these years in the same family run ownership . What you can expect is: 1) A very clean shop . 2) Excellent customer service . 3) Top quality well cooked fresh ingredients . 4) Value for money.

Having just moved to the area I have to say this Chippy is fab. All the fish is freshly cooked to order and the curry sauce is to die for.

I have been going here for 20ish years, the staff are lovely and the food is amazing, I cannot find anywhere that beats this place, the chips, the fish, the curry sauce all of it is bang on, I would eat here every day if I could, please never change a thing.

El comentario anterior era justo como la forma sus fichas son perfectos y mejor que en ningún otro lugar! Sabroso eglefino en pasta crujientes - pescado y patatas fritas no hay nada mejor!

he recibido mi pescado y patatas fritas desde aquí desde que puedo recordar, 25 años. son las patatas fritas¡s sabrosos platos y los peces son siempre preparado a pedido, por lo tanto son frescas y carnoso. El precio es excelente en comparación con otras visitas...

La comida aquí es fantástica y la gente es encantadora. todo el pescado cocinado y es de la mejor calidad. Dos pescado y patatas fritas le costará alrededor de £10. Las patatas fritas son de lo mejor que he probado en el Nottingham zona para muchas lunas, yo no sé si cocinar ellos diferente a otros lugares o si están hechas de diferentes patatas pero son geniales. Este es un mundo lejos de tiendas de chocolate que también venden pinchos pizzas y hamburguesas. Esta es una verdadera fish and chips tradicional tienda. Por favor le dan a este lugar. Me gustaría que todo el éxito en el futuro.
