Nice fish chips and kababs always met with a smile

I asked for cod and chips but was offered haddock and chips instead, obviously because that's what was already cooked and waiting to be sold. I agreed, as was asked on the spot but the fish wasn't great and the batter was soggy. Wish I just went stuck with ordering cod and refused the haddock when offered. I usually get my kebabs from here and they are really good, so will just stick with that next time. Customer service is always great and very friendly people l.

The chips were good, the peas were good! But the fish was excellent! I’ve used this chippy before & it was okay! With it being Good Friday I thought I’d give it a go again! The fish was white as snow & cooked to perfection, served with a lovely smile!! Safe to say I will recommend to friends & family & going back myself!

I bought fish and chips for myself and my sons last week and can honestly say they were the best fish and chips I've ever had! They were generous portions and so tasty! Not only that the people who serve in there are lovely and very child friendly!

Never had a bad bag of chips here, frequently eaten every chip in the bag as thier hasn't been one bad chip or with eyes in them (peeled properly) Common to wait for the chips to be ready.

The mixed kebab meat again is definitely the best we've experienced locally, not overly salty nor swimming in grease, and made extra tasty by their homemade in-house red cabbage salad and chilli sauce. Prices are competitive, the staff are fríendly and always welcome you with a smile. Finally, it has to be noted that this chippy is super clean... they clearly clean thoroughly and often. Just bought a large cod and chips from the Fish King could not fault it chips nice and crispy and the Cod was excellent will definitely go back and good luck to them the only chip shop open for miles around

Always fresh chips and such good portions. Staff very friendly. Best chips in town. Large portion of chips would feed a family of 4. Such nice gentleman and they often treat my little one with a lollipop. Highly recommended.

Al regresar de un viaje de compras el sábado 14 de septiembre, alrededor de las 16:30, decidimos llamar al Fish King en Arnold, Nottingham, para obtener pescado y papas fritas. Sin embargo, vimos el menú y decidimos pedir un kebab de pollo donado con tikka para mí y un kebab de pollo tikka para mi esposa. Esperamos unos 15 minutos para que se cocinara, pero cuando llegamos a casa, no nos gustó en absoluto, ya que estaban muy grasientos, había trozos de grasa en el pollo tikka y los panes nan no estaban bien cocinados a pesar del costo. un extra 1. 00 cada uno. Toda la comida llegó a las 15. 50, que pensamos que era muy caro. Esperaba que fuera sabroso pero estábamos muy decepcionados y tuvimos que tirar la comida. No volveremos aunque la tienda de chips en sí estaba limpia y el personal vestía uniformes limpios y muy educados y amables.

After waiting (as always) for chips to be cooked for 15 minutes.... get home to find they wasn't cooked enough! What a waste of time and money. Won't be going back.

picked up kebab small fishcake and chips and something else. no mayonnaise on kebab when got home as asked for,curled up kebab meat small pies soggy chips awful.nan bread all burned and hard in the middle could not eat don't waste your time or money going as we never will again and will never recommend. If you want really good fish and chips and excellent selection of items go to carlton hill fish brill worth the ten minute drive.

Decided to have fish & chips on a Monday evening. So very disappointed and ended up putting most of it in the bin. We had fish & chips with mushy peas twice a couple of fish cakes & an extra mushy peas - came to just under £20. The mushy peas were the worst we had ever had, didn't taste right so in the bin they went. The fish was white & gray and very flat with lots of very hard batter. We managed a few chips but so put off with the whole meal it ended up in the bin. Maybe Monday is not the day for fish & chips but won't be back to give them a second try.

Ok.nothing special. Its just open a lot later than anywhere else in Arnold.
