Lovely chicken kebab meat. Lovely battered sausage & lovely chips. Big portions also. The lads working there are always very friendly. Would definitely recommend & I'll definitely be back very soon

Super disappointed with the portion size of the "large" fish and chips. The smaller-than-expected portion was tasty in fairness but we 100% would have been given more if we'd gone in-store instead of ordering in. Half the family have colds so we opted for ordering instead of risking spreading our germs and this was just really disappointing. As per the photo, the fish was a decent size but the chips? Barely a small portion.

It's not one of those places that have large queues...but it should do! The chips are amazing always fresh. Thick traditional chips with plenty of filling unfried very well indeed with crispy light brown outer. Good choice of kebab and chicken with the traditional pies chip sausage etc making it less complicated for the staff has there not busy trying to do pizzas and other things it doesn't allow the queue to build up like you getting some fish and chip shops. I'm talking of traditional fish and chip shop the owner and staff have been fairly constant over the last 10 years that I can remember and you get a beaming smile every time you walk in. I'm not a big fan of Change however living 12 miles away from this fish and chip shop I would rather come here than anywhere closer to home and the chips taste the same as they did when I used to work nearby in B&Q in 2013!! You will not regret using the Fish King in Arnold.

I asked for cod and chips but was offered haddock and chips instead, obviously because that's what was already cooked and waiting to be sold. I agreed, as was asked on the spot but the fish wasn't great and the batter was soggy. Wish I just went stuck with ordering cod and refused the haddock when offered. I usually get my kebabs from here and they are really good, so will just stick with that next time. Customer service is always great and very friendly people l.

The app never informed me that they were low on drivers this resulting in my 80 year old grandma waiting over an hour for food, I went to cancel the order to order else where and the app informed me that if I cancelled then I'd still have to pay for the food I am really disappointed and won't be using this app again it doesnt let you know in advance when running low on drivers

The chips were good, the peas were good! But the fish was excellent! I’ve used this chippy before & it was okay! With it being Good Friday I thought I’d give it a go again! The fish was white as snow & cooked to perfection, served with a lovely smile!! Safe to say I will recommend to friends & family & going back myself!

The fish was 50% smaller than other chippies, bland in taste, sightly tough, Majority of other fish and chip shops charge £6 to £7 for double the size, more flavor, softer flesh and you are charging £11.00. that is very expensive for what i was sent, i was expecting something of higher quality. I'm afraid to say, as a first time customer to your business i am very disappointed..

I bought fish and chips for myself and my sons last week and can honestly say they were the best fish and chips I've ever had! They were generous portions and so tasty! Not only that the people who serve in there are lovely and very child friendly!

The mixed kebab meat again is definitely the best we've experienced locally, not overly salty nor swimming in grease, and made extra tasty by their homemade in-house red cabbage salad and chilli sauce. Prices are competitive, the staff are fríendly and always welcome you with a smile. Finally, it has to be noted that this chippy is super clean... they clearly clean thoroughly and often. Just bought a large cod and chips from the Fish King could not fault it chips nice and crispy and the Cod was excellent will definitely go back and good luck to them the only chip shop open for miles around

Always fresh chips and such good portions. Staff very friendly. Best chips in town. Large portion of chips would feed a family of 4. Such nice gentleman and they often treat my little one with a lollipop. Highly recommended.

Al regresar de un viaje de compras el sábado 14 de septiembre, alrededor de las 16:30, decidimos llamar al Fish King en Arnold, Nottingham, para obtener pescado y papas fritas. Sin embargo, vimos el menú y decidimos pedir un kebab de pollo donado con tikka para mí y un kebab de pollo tikka para mi esposa. Esperamos unos 15 minutos para que se cocinara, pero cuando llegamos a casa, no nos gustó en absoluto, ya que estaban muy grasientos, había trozos de grasa en el pollo tikka y los panes nan no estaban bien cocinados a pesar del costo. un extra 1. 00 cada uno. Toda la comida llegó a las 15. 50, que pensamos que era muy caro. Esperaba que fuera sabroso pero estábamos muy decepcionados y tuvimos que tirar la comida. No volveremos aunque la tienda de chips en sí estaba limpia y el personal vestía uniformes limpios y muy educados y amables.

After waiting (as always) for chips to be cooked for 15 minutes.... get home to find they wasn't cooked enough! What a waste of time and money. Won't be going back.
