Silver Inn in Glasgow City

Food has went down hill, chow mein had no veggies init and was very dry and curry sauce has changed again and it taste like that basic yellow supermarket stuff 🤢🤢🤢 awful food

Cancelled my order and didn’t inform me because they couldn’t fulfill it waited about 1.30 hours don’t think I’ll be using them again this is my first time using them. Communication skills lacking

Food was spilt over the bag, food was cold & chowmain was greasy & had mushrooms in it!

forgot the chips, they were for the dog.

The Deep Fried salt and chilli king Prawns was dry and stale.

amazing as per. Forgot our chips but phoned and sent out. This was only downside. delivery driver chapped door and we where getting money for her as we knew she wouldn't get a 2nd fee, so wanted to tip her for coming. but never waited and put our bag on door handle so when we opened the door, the bag fell onto the floor and burst.

Was about 4 bits of chicken in my salt chilli do not recommend chips was very soggy disappointed

Order was late and the person who delivered my order was very rude and didn't even apologise apologise

Munchie box tasty as always... Just a suggestion though, adding a small portion of fried rice or noodles instead of some of the chips. Then it would be perfect 👌🏻

Been using silver inn for 7 years. No more. Food was delivered and was short a portion of spicy chips. I called the restaurant to let them know. I’ve only ever had to do this one other time , when a fried rice was missing. The girl on the phone was helpful but was trying to tell me the “ chef “ didn’t want to send out the chips as he was sure he had sent them out. She was being as diplomatic as possible. I dont know what happens to them but we certainly didn’t have them. I didn’t expect to have to plead my innocence over the phone regarding missing chips from my order. We’ve used this Chinese for years, and with a family of 6, we spend a decent amount of cash in it monthly. I won’t spend another penny in it. A shocking way to treat loyal customers. Eventually chips were sent out to us. I fed them to the dog as I didn’t feel comfortable eating them, knowing fine well how much the chef had begrudgingly sent them out. The food and the service over the years has been great, they’ve really let themselves down here.

Chicken tasted like rubber sauce was too spicy and thick and clumpy chips over done. Delivery was delayed for whatever reason not happy

Always get excellent service from here, the food is always delivered in time and hot. Most importantly all the dishes we've had have tasted amazing.

Tasty as always and pipping hot when delivered . My only but was that the chow mein was cut too short but very tasty meal . Thumbs up to the chef

Chips - Soggy and over seasoned with dry chillies to the point I was coughing them up. Chicken balls were soggy also and some of the chicken inside I spat out because of the texture and the chicken fried rice was honestly a waste of money it was far to sweet and had hardly any sauce in it. honestly only thing good was the curry sauce and how polite the delivery driver was

Tasty and delivered hot .. It didn’t take time to get to me , I was even surprised when I heard the bell ring .. TASTY YUMNY FOOD.

Good Chinese, speedy service. Food was good, Singapore Chow Mein was very spicey,nippy. Salt n Chilli Chicken balls n chips was nice too, 5 chicken balls. Would try other dishes.

Late and cold pancake rolls full of oil couldnt eat them rice and chicken curry cold had to reheat in the microwave

Only down side ,no one seems to read your comments, as a asked for dry ribs and yet again got them delivered with sauce witch I don't like ,apart from that everything would of been great

Placed an order between 6:20pm and 6:30pm called the takeaway 1 hour 10mins later after it was confirmed as delivered and they said it should be getting dropped off now (7:40pm) it's now a few mins till 8 and they haven't arrived yet.

Ok. Food came cold. Driver had it for 40 mins. I live 10 mins away. Rice is clumpy and pretty tasteless. Prawn is OK. But cold. No. Staff unhelpful. Wouldn't bother.

Ordered salt and pepper squid and chips and received salt and chilly on both. Ordered beef with green peppers and black bean sauce it tasted as boiled beef, not a good experience. The stars are for the lovely lady that delivered the order.

Chicken Curry was cold when arrived, the woman who took my ordered never packed the two bags of prawn crackers I ordered, when I phoned to enquire about it this she asked ‘if I still wanted them or to claim it back’ when I said I still wanted them because they were for my curry she said ‘aw aye it’ll be about half an hour though’ which was pointless. They never turned up. I would’ve claimed for a refund if I’m honest.

food was lovely chow mein amazing only thing would be its so hot the curry tub has melted and spilled as so hot need to think about changing it as its quite dangerous but no complaits with actual food will definatly use again.

Really tasty items delivered, the chow mein had a nice kick to it, only grumble is the lack if meat etc in it. Starters great, ribs were tasty, soup was amazing. The wife liked the size of the chicken bulks, and the thickness of the sauce, it wad perfect

So disappointed. Many times i had food from Silver Inn and always was great. This time was terrible. I had 5 stamps so I got discount. Unfortunately I think my food was "discounted" as well. Salt and Peppers chicken bites were very dry, were like little Stones. Although, chicken chow mein was very tasty but portion was much smaller than usual. For 5 or 6 chunks of chicken I was charged £8. That's ridiculous. I don't think so I will order food from this place again. Discount is for loyal customers and you should care about them.

The main meals were great but the chips were obviously reheated and the onion rings were over cooked to the point of being inedible. Disappointing as previously we've always had excellent food from the Silver Inn.

Excellent food and service best Chinese locally wouldn’t go anywhere else

I ordered chicken balls and fried rice, paid extra for satay sauce. Zero satay sauce so ended up with dry fried rice and a table spoon of sauce on chicken balls. Apparently got what i paid for and the satay sauce will arrive in due course. Have another dinner on route. Waste of money.

Noodles where all chopped up into 2inch pieces what am I a 3 year old and there was hardly any meat in the chow mein as well as no free prawn crackers now,

Order was nice but they had sat my food ontop of soup and all the curry sauce leaked all over the bag and over the soup container also forgot my can and said they would return but never.
