The food here is very nice. I love the Pad Thai with chicken and they make it extra hot. It’s not for the faint hearted. The service is also very nice with friendly staff.Parking is a nightmare though but that is Ealing. Takes ages to find a spot and you have to walk a bit. Also I feel the restaurant could be a little more generous with their portion sizes. I ordered salt and pepper squid and had to order 2 as they were tiny but apart from that - lovely service and food.

Silom Village has now changed to Saneh Thai. Silom village used to be great now my family has tried a takeaway from Seneh Thai and the fish cakes where rubbery, chicken satay rubbery. Massaman curry (which used to be my favourite is now just an orange oily soup with bits of dry meat in it. It’s a shame because the food used to be good quality but now it’s changed owner or management and on this particular occasion the food was a total let down.

Silom Village has been my favourite local Thai restaurant for years. But then I saw an article on Get West London (Google it) Where they had to close for cockroaches. As have other venues in the same area.Unfortunately, my partner has numerous health issues with a reduced immune system and something that could compromise their health is too big a risk. It's a pity, because they delivered great food at really good prices.

I'm not a Thai cuisine expert but everything we ordered was tasty, eye catching and enough to feed 3 hungry men. We tried pork, chicken and prawn dishes from the wok and it was amazing. Strongly recommend - definitely will come back. Tip: try book the table as we have been here on Sunday 12:00 and from 1 pm every table was taken.

Cheap eats indeed but not exactly an afair of love with the food. My wife and I stopped by on the recommendation of a friend but we were disappointed by most of the dishes.Chicken satay was fine, steamed dumplings smelled funny and were not eaten and the sticky ribs were below average. For mains it was green thai curry that was ok and a jungle curry that was ok too. Saying you go to a place and have ok food is not much to celebrate especially when the waiter has a persistent cough. We had a glass of wine and a pineapple juice so we're pleasently happy with only £35 bill but we both agreed we would have and should have gone somewhere else. The place looks ok but there is no music or atmosphere so for a Friday night treat it was a let down.Never mind lots of places in Ealing that are good and if you like OK food that's cheap then you may have found your local haunt but for us, na no thanks,

I recently visited this place with a few friends. First I have to mention the wine, they had six or seven different types of wine on the list but only one in the restaurant which is not much of an option. From the starter menu I've ordered king prawns which were quite nice but the main course ruined the whole dinner after I've found a long dark hair in my pan fried salmon with coconut curry sauce. If it wasn't for my lovely friends I would've left straight away. Not going back there that's for sure.

Well I must say the people are rude as they want to avoid you if you are there un announced or w/o reservation. We still went another day by pre booking and the service was average. One person serving everyone surely will miss basics. No water was served unless requested, we wanted Kids ice cream to be served prior the meal , they still brought it with quite a delay and yes I could not enjoy my dinner well. I ordered some spring rolls and Malaysian curry with sticky rice, also Thai green curry with parotas but nothing turned out wow, infact I felt chicken was merely boiled and put in the curry. Overall I will never go back there again.

My wife and I have been coming here for 6 years. That will have equated to over 100 visits and have introduced many people to the restaurant. We came because the food was good, simple as that. However please read this review to find out why we will never return. Customer service has always been dreadful eg We were even charged 50p for ice once by them as we only asked for tap water to drink. We usually had a beer or soft drink but decided for water that time. We didn't complain. Over the last year the quality and portion size has deteriorated. We still stuck with it and never complained. Even after it was closed due to a cockroach infestation in September this year. (Google it!)The final straw: my 7 month pregnant wife had lunch here last week. The beef was inedible as it was too chewy and fatty. She politely informed the lady owner (her name is Cob) who disagreed with her saying the chef said the food was fine. My wife showed her the food again and the owner continued then to shout at my wife in an aggressive manner. I will say again my wife is 7 months pregnant. Then as my wife was upset and leaving the restaurant Cob shouted at her again. As loyal and very regular customers I was upset for my wife when she told me what happened. I went to the restaurant and spoke to both owners. Cob continued her bad tempered behaviour and the male owner suggested we meet the following day (because people were watching). I agreed as I was disgusted by Cob's behaviour and wanted a civilised conversation. I met next day with the male owner before they opened as agreed(Cob didn't show up). He said Cob was wrong to speak to my wife the way she did however Cob would not apologise. I told him that their food quality had dropped and that the customer service was non existent. He said that customer service is not important to them and to quote "we just do it the way we do it". He also said that they will only accept a customer complaint once. One strike and you are out! I find this to be an incredibly awful way to treat a customer. I said that because of this and the appalling treatment of my wife without remorse that would not return ever again. If you want to be treated with disdain and accept increasingly average or below food then this is the place to come.

I must admit that I'm perplexed by the less-than-excellent views 'The Silom'. I know that what people want/expect varies, but I have been visiting the Silom Village for... oh I suppose about 12-15 years, after friends that lived in Ealing recommended it. In all that time I have never had a meal I didn't enjoy, or service that I ever thought was anything less than perfectly acceptable. The food and restaurant do not attempt to be 'showy' (no carved veg decorations on the plate or gilded elephants to be seen), but the food is the best, most 'authentic' that I have eaten in the UK. There are other, significantly more expensive Thai restaurants in Ealing which look smarter but disappoint with the food. I defy anyone to have either of the two soup starters, or the melt-in-the-mouth, slow cooked lamb massaman and not be impressed. The later in particular, is often poorly done, cooked in a hurry and chewy - never at the Silom. The ONLY thing which has changed (for the worse in my opinion) in the decade+ I have been a customer, was the decision to go from big, chunky communal wooden tables and benches, to smaller, individual tables and chairs. I understand the decision from sake of flexibility, but I think the atmosphere lost something as a result. Other than than, I would not eat Thai anywhere else if I had the preference, and even now, we will drive 27 miles from Hertfordshire for no other reason than the food. In fact, having written this, I think a visit is overdue.

I have patronised this place twice in July - first time I dined in and the other I had takeaway. I had good impression when I visited the first time. The tom yum soup is tasty and flavourful. In my opinion, I think it tastes much better than Busaba Thai. The pad Thai is sweeter but I think it's fine. I visited again a week later and this time I asked for takeaway. The food was still fresh and warm after 30 mins. Again, I ordered tom yum soup and when I was abt to finish the soup, to my horror, I saw two strands of hair in the soup! I almost puked when I saw them! Not sure if I will visit them again although I really love the food.

Ealing is quite well served for Thai restaurants and I think this is the best. The starter highlights for me are the deep fried squid and the tom yum salad. As for the mains, they are all good but I particularly like the salmon and duck ones. The house white deserves an honourable mention as it can be pretty awful at places such as this. No worries though, you can order a second glass here without having to book in a trip to Boots for headache pills on the way home.Service is always friendly and efficient.Highly recommended.

I went here with my girlfriend for a meal. I won't give a huge back story but these are the issues. 1. I would classify myself as someone who loves a lot of spice. However The Tom yum soup was like drinking molten lava, it was literally ground up chilis, it can't have been right.2. The fish cakes were frozen...frozen in the middle, as in boiling on the outside and... frozen ....in the middle.3. The service was awful. It looked like 1 poor guy was serving half of ealing. He was doing his best but still, no one wants to wait 30 mins just to ask frozen fish cakes to be taken back.

I dined here with work colleagues during the working week for lunch. Let me start by saying that there is a lot of competition in Ealing for lunch trade with plenty of offers to be had however while this place didn’t offer any visible sign of an offer there is a quick lunch menu. Now the key to the lunch trade is to ensure the food comes quickly while still remaining fresh and good quality, along with good portion sizes of course! We each enjoyed a starter (came same time as main) and a main, at the bill was around £13 each, to include soft drinks too.I enjoyed some dim sum and also a papaya salad...which was lovely a spicy!Although this is slightly out of the way of the office, we will be back to experience it again!

Called up to ask what time they start deliveries, and will they deliver to my home in Isleworth (15min by car). The answers were 6pm and YES, respectively.Called back 5min later, ordered the food, payed over the phone with debit card.Driver arrives 40min later with our food, looks at the receipt, hands it to me, we both say thank you and he leaves. Half way through our meal the restaurant calls up and says that they need to take another £3 from my card for delivery because my home is "very far from the restaurant". I explain that I was not told this when i ordered the meal. They knew where i lived because 1. I asked beforehand and 2.They took my address! At no time during the ordering process over the phone, or by delivery driver, did they say I will need to pay a delivery charge. I was given a price over the phone for my order to my house, and i paid it. The women over the phone would not accept this (I was passed to 3 different people, the last being the "manager and owner.") We had a heated argument in which she said that we cannot eat at the restaurant ever again and they will not deliver to me! Fine by me, but i explained that they cannot take money from my card without my permission - it is illegal. The majority of the time she was screaming down the phone at me and I could barely understand a word she was saying. She then hung up! They then called back - trying to justify taking more money - "its for the driver, we didnt know it was so far........" I explained that it was their fault for not saying anything during the order, we did not know about your delivery policies - you cannot call up afterwards and demand more money. More inaudible screaming from her, so I hung up. They called back again with more of the same, I told them to come and take the food back, and after more exchanges I made my last point and hung up again. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. And if you do, do not pay by card. The food here used to be good 5 years ago, but now is just average. After this terrible customer service, abuse, and threats for £3, this has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Now that I have been living in ealing for years, I still eat there, and am still amazed at the quality of the food and the value for money. It is wonderful, original tasting Thai food-and the hot chilli logo is ample warning of the 'heat' of the dishes. For a well weathered chilli-bean- the very spicy ones sometimes have me doing the sweats! The green tea is not as good as the jasmine tea(in me 'umble opinion) and the decor is till oddly 1970's despite changes over the years. It is a favourite of mine- and the yom tang soup is top of the list.

Last Friday we went to eat at Silom we have been going there for years but because I join trip Advisor very recently I am going to write about it. We were 3 people, my partner, one of her work colleague and me. The place has been recently renovated and the food is always exquisite. We ordered some kind of vegetable tempura and some fried calamari as a starter and they were very tasty indeed especially the calamari in chilli and toasted garlic. They were not chewy at all as it happens in most places. To this followed a coconut vegetable rice for our guest while my partner and I went for the usual main dish (sometimes boring can be good) Char Kuey Teow. We have to confess our addiction for this dish. I recently read about this recipe that they use lard which maybe not very healthy but flavour wise is sublime. Come on a little sin every now and then!. The food here is really delicious and at a very, very reasonable price. Please form an orderly queue..

The soup was really good… then came the main. I’d have to say the main was average. Remembering that in perspective this is not the most expensive Thai restaurant in Ealing. The service itself was friendly and accurate. The waiter was alive to the needs and interests of vegetarians and was able to give confident advice about the ingredients. However, the service is not quick so be prepared to make conversation. This isn’t bad of course, but just be aware its not the place for a quick bite. The decor is clean, modern, and what I would call tasteful utilitarian without being stark. Nothing about it specifically suggests Thai. So, for atmosphere again you are going to rely on that conversation. In all this is a decent place for a casual meal with friends who are out for a good chin wag. Don’t miss the soup. Maybe you can hit on a more inspiring main that I did on this occasion.

One of my local Thai restaurants, Silom Village offers a great variety of dishes in amazingly cheap prices for the quality.Recently renovated its friendly and clean, the same goes for the toilets. Service is not the best, but its good enough, definitely not posh or pretentious. The value of this restaurant is amazing; food-wise its better than the £20 restaurants in the area. I have been there over 50 times, I 've even had curry for hangover breakfast for them, they always make it milder when I ask.Portions are quite big, they also do a lunch special for better value. The classics are great, Pad Tahi, Kaeng Kew Gai, Tom Yun, Mussaman. I also recomend the Rendang with beef, a red strong curry, with hips of flavor. They also have a few malaysians stir-fry rish dishes.

Service is fast if a little sleepy....a curious combination I admit! The restaurant just feels slightly grotty, please wipe down the menus! The food was ok, portions a little small perhaps. Theres just nothing to make me want to go back!

Authentic Thai taste for pad Thai and drunkin noodles. Lots of great options for traditional Thai dishes. They only open for dinner at weekdays but both lunch and dinner at weekends. I definitely would go again. Very reasonably priced.
