We attended this venue to celebrate a birthday. What a great location with views across the Bay to Penarth. The service was excellent and the staff very attentive to our large party. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the service or ambience. Slightly overpriced too.

Had our anniversary lunch there today....food was lovely and the waitress Sheila so friendly and helpful.Will definitely go again

Lovely food. Service was good to start with but then slowed up considerably when the place got busier.

The service is really good, the friendly smile is unforgettable. The food ingredients are fresh and the sauce is very appropriate and delicious.

Very very good pasta al dente like an italian, plenty of Parmesan cheese available. Don’t miss it !

A really great little restaurant! Beautifully cooked, excellent quality and great service. As a fussy eater I’m always apprehensive about requesting various things from different dishes on the menu, but no problem or fuss here at all. The atmosphere was relaxing, great after a long day to unwind or celebrate. I will be returning for the latter very soon! Thank you 🙂

The food and service are excellent. Location is superb too. Check the bill though as the service charge is a very steep 18%

Very lovely staff, beautiful restaurant. Sat by the windows looking out to the sea, was very nice. Calamari wasn't the best but all the other food was great, had a three course meal. The seafood options were good, and both the panacotta and tiramisu were delicious. We were the last ones there on a quiet Tuesday night, very lovely meal and experience.

Over priced. Food average and tinned mushrooms used instead of fresh. Wouldn't go again waste of money.

Love this place. Haven't been for a few years but it's as good as it always was, possibly better. Great location, friendly knowledgeable staff. Food was outstanding.

Went for my birthday. Food was nice, my dad enjoyed the chicken and I enjoyed my pizza. My mum had a risotto which was quite bland. The setting is lovely and the staff were nice. We went on a Sunday so it was quiet. Would go again and its a nice change to going to a chain like pizza express / zizzis food tastes fresh.

Lovely Italian with amazing views. Staff were attentive but not over the top. Sat by the window at the front overlooking the bay. When a guy sat doing the accounts realised my partner was struggling to see due to the sun he lowered the blinds before we had a change to say anything. Ordered the Prawn Spaghetti and the Insalata Di Pollo. Both lovely meals, generous portions and priced very competitively. Much better than the chain option next door.

Great food,absolutely loved it.. staff were fantastic and a great view over the bay.. only downside is the lighting could do with a refresh/update but we will definitely be returning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was great and tiramisu was amazing. Sadly though service was very lacking. Felt we were rushed as it was quiet. Waitress came across quite rude. Tap water served warm. Wine not poured. Little touches that elsewhere have made a big difference. Probably wouldn’t return. Expected more from an independent restaurant

I ordered the Raviolis with cheese & butter the portion was v small and the raviolis were sitting on a bed of water not what I expect for nearly £16!!

What an excellent restaurant. On a busy Saturday night, initially not being able to take us (we had not booked), we left but the manager came racing after us offering us a slot. I had pollo pepe nero which was absolutely delicious as were the other three friends meal. Highly recommended.

Reasonably priced, fresh ingredients used, quick service, delicious starters (especially garlic mozzarella bread). I enjoyed the mixed seafood pasta and tiramisu for dessert.

My husband and I had a delicious late lunch early dinner at Signor Valentino. The food was delicious, we shared olives and a pasta dish. Most outstanding was the service, we've been in Cardiff for 3 weeks and I can honestly say this is the best service we are received. Top notch, we will definitely return and we highly recommend.

Food was just acceptable but the staff were rude from when we walked in until we left. The waiters and waitresses definitely did not want to be there. They did have a party of about 25 who they were catering for but they did not appear to be over run with requests from them. There is a service charge applied on the bill but due to the service and attitude of staff we declined to pay.

Dirty wine glasses. Cracked tumblers. Tough calamari. Warm cocktails. Inedible, dry risotto. Veal swimming in grease. Avoid at all costs. A place like this doesn't deserve to survive and is unlikely to do so, thank goodness. Staff are lovely and thoroughly embarrassed.

Came here for dinner in the sun with friends as outdoor seating looked lovely. Was plenty of empty tables outside and inside yet still waited 20 minutes for our drinks. Friend of mine ordered a creamy white sauced dish, was brought out a tomato based dry dish, when she queried it with the waiter he agreed it was the wrong dish but the manager said he would make what she had creamier, brought back out same dish which had cream mixed in so it was less orange. Carbonara dish was the most dry pasta dish i have ever had anywhere, not able to eat, when we told the staff they were very rude to us and at the end gave me my £14 change in 20ps, 10ps, 2ps and pennies. Our bill still cost us over £100 so to have such bad attitude for things that werent our fault would decide for us to never eat here again.

Second time I’ve visited and second time I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the food. Absolutely delicious. Service was prompt, food arrived quickly. Can’t fault! Would recommend.

I don't think they were actually open when a family asked for a table so we went in. They made us welcome, even though they were still setting up. We sat on the balcony overlooking the bay, sun shining and it felt like being on the Mediterranean. My partner had carbonara, I had scallop and prawn spaghetti with a mixed salad. The salad was lovely and enough for two to share. We both had dessert which we don't normally do at lunch but it was so relaxing there we didn't want to move. Will definitely go back

Signor Valentinos serves delicious Italian food, prepared with care and plated beautifully. My risotto was delish! And the service and ambiance were friendly and very attractive. Nice view!

The views of the bay are beautiful. Service was minimal and slow (which apparently amounts to a £3 a head charge) and for the prices food isn't up to scratch. £25 for a sirloin steak which was tough and tasted of dirty chargrill on the outside. Cillieginos in town is the same ball game done much better.

I went into Signor Valentinos in Cardiff Bay when I was staying in Cardiff. The staff recognized me from when I was down in Cardiff in May. We were initially seated outside. As soon as a table was available inside, we were moved . We were very grateful. Seats inside were more comfortable and we just missed the rain. Food was lovely

Disappointing , rude staff. Food was tasty and plentiful. Wine on the expensive side . Service was quick but attitude of staff left much to be desired ! Toilets were clean. Located on upper floor Cardiff Bay, good views.

Tasty lasagne and bistecca dishes. Attentive and smiley staff. The vanilla ice cream was amazing. We would certainly return.

Wow, what a find. Visited in the evening before we went to the theatre. Service was brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time visiting and was not a disappoint. Starters and mains were so tasty and came out quickly. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Drinks were lovely. We had booked in advanced and hoped we could sit outside on the balcony but a portion of the area was sectioned off so instead they gave us the best table inside which had beautiful views on the bay. Will definitely return 5/5

We were given a table by the window and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning views over Cardiff Bay. We shared some ciabatta and olives to start, then had a bolognese, spaghetti with scallops and mussels, chicken breast with veg and peppercorn sauce and ravioli with ricotta and spinach. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Will definitely return - would like to go one evening to see the views. Shame that other diners let their young children run around the restaurant and make lots of unnecessary noise. That did spoil it a bit.

It was simply enjoyable and food was so yummy! Ordered ravioli and penne arabiata and both were rich in taste with flavorful seasoning. Margarita pizza and calazoni obergin and mixes vegetables were so good that we ordered it again to extend the joy of taste. The staff was so friendly, and the amazing chef who was from Egypt checked on us for our opinion which obviously was positive at all aspects. Was no doubt a fantastic one and of high recommendation. We arrived without reservation and initially they weren't too sure that they could fit us in. Happily they did find room though, so proceeded to order. Everyone found something they wanted except for the vegetarian in the party - very poor choice I thought, usually a lot more main meal vegetarian choices in an Italian restaurant. Eventually compromised on a spaghetti dish which was ok. Good food in general and service was ok. Not sure I'd return due to the limited amount of vegetarian choice.

The food was good, service was good and lots of buzz on the Saturday night. I will have enjoyed there being more varied pasta dishes but they had a good range of meat dishes, pizzas and pastas.

It was a lovely sunny day so we set out on the terrace. Really nice setting, and the food was amazing. It's one of the best Italian meals I've had outside of Little Italy in New York. Deffo going back when I'm next in town.

This is the worst seafood I have ever eaten. Whi cook a delicate fish on roasted potatoes in a swimming pool of water that's meant to be a sauce. The roasted potatoes were soggy and the fish was horrible. The dish looks decent but there was no flavour on none of it. There is no words to describe it.

15 of us ate here to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The food was delicious, service was great and they were really happy to set up some decorations and let us bring a birthday cake in. My daughter had such a good evening.. we will definitely return.

Signor Valentino was excellent. The pizza and pasta were always delicious. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant in Cardiff Bay, this may have been it, a few years ago.

Lovely meal for 3 two nights ago. Hit fresh and tasty pizza, baked lasagne as it should be and a fine chicken mains too boot. Service was prompt and attentive as well. We'll be back next time we're in Cardiff.

Signor Valentino Italian Restaurant in Csrdiff Bay is an amazing place to visit. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We visited here before taking in a show at WMC. It's all you need for a great night out.

Overpriced for very simple dishes that anyone could make and probably did as presentation was basic. In comparison with another Italian restaurant visited 2 weeks before, the other one was superb but priced lower.

The menu is similar to many other Italian restaurants and the prices are a little higher than many, but don’t let that put you off, the prices are more than justified by the quality of what you get. We had five courses between the two...

This restaurant has some of the best views of all the places to eat in Cardiff Bay. The food was excellent, and the service was fine, my only criticism being that it took a while for someone to come over and take our order.
