Sidhu’s Indian Cuisine in Perth & Kinross

Having read several reviews we decided to give this restaurant a try. Sadly we were a bit disappointed. The waiting staff were excellent and very attentive, however the food was not very good. The onion bhajis were bland and had far too much sauces drizzled over them. The chicken in the 2 main dishes was bland and seemed like they had not been cooked in the sauces plus the chicken in the Chicken Korma was as tough as old boots. We think perhaps this restaurant has gone for quantity rather than quality as portions, especially of sauces and naan, were overly generous.

Picked because of good reviews and we were not disappointed. Excellent quality and very friendly staff. Unfortunately we live in Cornwall so probably won't be back but if you get a chance, go there.

Had a takeaway from here for the first time last week..I cannot fault the food we had, absolutely delicious..will definitely be back.

Great food, asked for vegetarian food; though it was not on the menu; Mr. Sidhu made delicious dish of Paneer jalfrezi and Dal tarka; appreciated by my friend who was vising scotland on a holiday. The chef did show a great gesture of asking if all was good, great approach. 5 STAR!!

Four of us went for a Thursday night curry at Sidhu's. Very impressed on our first visit, as we had heard of his recent "Best in Scotland" award . Just fabulous food! The poppadoms and dips were really crisp and fresh and the main courses so tasty. We all agreed the curries were the best we've ever eaten ( and we've eaten lots over the years) so thanks Sidhu for an exceptional meal, the friendly service, and your personal attention to your customers. Just how it should be done. The chicken tikka was amazing and such a sizzling spectacle when brought to the table. The butter chicken, chicken tikka jalfrezi, and chicken tikka masala all exceeded our expectations by a mile and the nan breads were, again, so tasty . We can't recommend Sidhu's enough.

This was our second visit .. the first was much better.. the fish pakora was lovely, the veg pakora was stodgy and dry.. no dipping sauces are served with the pakora?.. the chicken tikka garlic chilli had no heat and the chicken was chewy as was the lamb in my husbands dish.. the 3 stars go to the naan bread..lovely, light and crisp.. unfortunately we won’t be back.

Recommended by neighbour so visited Sidhu’s with friends last night. We all thoroughly enjoyed the various dishes ordered, from papadums with interesting dips to tasty starters and delicious mains - no room for dessert but definitely next time! Credit to Sidhu himself who chatted to each of the tables later in the evening and to his staff who were friendly and helpful throughout. Thank you. Already looking forward to next visit.

We had a great meal at sidhus last saturday, attentive service and generous portions of freshly prepared authentic dishes. The nan breads cooked perfect unlike some places that serve them thick and stodgy. We look forward to a return visit many thanks

The first time I have been here and it was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and food and cocktails were amazing. Liked how the chef asks you if your enjoying the food. I hope we were to noisy as we hadn't seen each other for a while and were having a good laugh. I must apologise if we were,definitely be back.

Fantastic new place to get a curry in Perth. One of the nicest I’ve ever had, so fresh and tasty. Lovely owner, really friendly and helpful. The food was honestly top notch and great value for money. The owners own lager is really good too! Will definitely be back and also found a new place to get a takeaway! 10/10!!!!

Food was so delicious, I had the chicken korma and my partner had the battered chicken it was so delicious we were very full after. The service was great they made sure we were okay throughout our meal and after. Can’t wait to be back or get a take away!

good addition to perths curry houses, we had a Dansak, Madras, garlic nan all very good, its not a huge menu i find that helps you decide quicker. At the end of the meal the chef/owner comes out to chat to the customers i thought that was a nice touch.

My delivery meal tonight was excellent. Veg Pakora starter what a huge portion with a nice sauce, accompanied by complimentary popadoms with delicious spicy onions and raita. Garlic chilli chicken with plain rice. This was so tasty. I like madras heat curry but not over-powering. This was full of delicious flavours, not blitzed down to a gravy but with chunks of peppers and onion. Again, a good portion size which I have saved half for a quick midweek meal. I must plan a sit-in visit and will certainly be ordering a delivery again soon. Definitely my top choice for Indian food in Perth at the moment.

I’ve waited 9 months for this. Being from Liverpool and being a former employee of Sid I always wanted to try his cooking. Fair to say it didn’t disappoint. The madras was incredible. I’ll be back

I had been thinking wanting to try this place for a while as I’ve seen so many outstanding reviews. So expectations were high. And they exceeded those expectations! Fantastic food. The staff were very attentive, friendly. Sid, the chef came out and gave us a little education about our curry choices, very nice touch. He even helped us celebrate my dad’s birthday with a complimentary dessert & drink. It’s the little things that make a difference! Can’t wait for our next visit 😋

First time eating here and would absolutely recommend it. The food was all very tasty and beautifully plated. The waiting staff couldn’t have been more polite and helpful, and it was a lovely tough that the chef came out after our meal and spoke with us. A lovely experience which we are keen to repeat soon!

Just back from holiday and fancied an Indian curry before going back to healthier choices. Had read good things of Sidhus and have to say it didn’t disappoint. Tandoori Salmon and Haggis pakora to start, followed by Chicken Tikka Jalfrazi, vegetable rice and garlic nan. All freshly cooked, delicious, and generous portions. Don’t often eat Indian but when the fancy takes you it will be back to Sidhu’s

Another fantastic meal from Sidhu's, this time a takeaway. Easy to navigate online ordering via their own website, all prepared on time and well presented. Meal deal for 2 ordered- generous portions, all beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. I would encourage anyone thinking of a curry locally and maybe has a 'usual' place you go to to check Sidhu's out for a change- you won't be disappointed. Thanks again for a great meal.
