Been wanting to try this place for ages and so glad I finally did, it's such a little gem. I had a Thai green prawn curry and it was sensational, the smell the taste, it transported me back to Thailand, so authentic. Service was great too. My friend had the pad Thai and that was amazing too!

I’ve always wanted to try this Thai restaurant The restaurant is located in an isolated area of Deansgate Cinema. It’s a good place to eat after watching the movie. The seats are spacious and comfortable, but the air conditioning is not enough, so it may get a little hot in summer The curry with boiled prawns and Tom Yum Goong is so delicious, with just the right amount of sourness and spiciness. In addition, the spicy shredded pork rice is recommended. The sauce is delicious. After the meal, the staff would come over and ask for advice on the food. It turns out that the boss and the chef’s wife are both from Bangkok, Thailand. The family has been running this restaurant for several years The taste retains the Thai cooking method while suiting local tastes appropriately. At least I think it tastes better than chain stores

It was a very average (perhaps even below average) experience. Food was just ok and not cheap, with service charge tacked on. Just include the price of the service charge to your dishes or make it clear that you will add a service charge. Perhaps my dish was not that great but other dishes might have been better. So I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

We were three and ordered for the same food, ( Prawn fried rice) All the three got different portions of the same food. The lady, ( owner of the restaurant ) Ms. May, was very rude when we brought to her attention that the portions of the three fried rice were very small and in different sizes. All she had to do was apologise. She could evidently see that the portions were of different sizes. She did not have to retort ‘ what do you want “.

Very expensive for quality of food! Service was friendly but restaurant was freezing and quite cramped tables. Food was poor to be completely honest. Side salad was embarissing on the side of plate, portions were small and accompanying lettuce was brown. In one of the dishes (pictured) instant noodles were included (not rice). Two people with no drinks was £70!

Very small restaurant but came quite late so we managed to get a seat. Service was really nice and they were just the right amount of attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and you could see the chef cooking right in front of you too which added to the atmosphere. My main complaint is the portion size compared to the price... Particularly the curry. There just isn't enough of it especially when compared to the rice which is particularly annoying because the sauce was so good! Had to order 2x portions to try to satisfy the craving (which is the only reason my rating is a 4 and not a 5). Just a word of warning - the menu is quite short so depending on preferences you may not find what you're craving (we did but we looked it up beforehand).

Visited this place with my partner for dinner. - Dried strip pork £6.95 It's a good side dish before your main dish come, taste good with the dipping sauce that came together. It would taste plain without sauce. The sauce is a bit spicy, so don't dip too much if you don't eat spicy foods often. - Thai milk tea £4.25 It taste very authentic, the colour of the drink is definitely a proper Thai milk tea. - Kao saam sahai £14.95 (Crispy pork belly, BBQ pork, crispy duck with rice) This is a rice dish, came with a bowl of soup. I liked this rice dish but still there were some down parts. The crispy pork wasn't crispy at all and taste soggy. There's also bone on it, not sure if it's Thai style, but I never had bone in crispy pork in any other places. Duck slices were very thin. - Kaw Pad £14.95 (Fried rice with the meat of your choice) We choose pork belly, it taste good but there's not much special I can recall about this dish. Overall the flavor of the foods were good, but consider the price with the portions we got, I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Staff were very friendly.

Not only food that tastes so good the people i talked to are all thai nice both front, back staff. I’m afraid I have to leave a bad review on this one. I am disappointed in the food portion and quality. Pad thai was wet and missed key ingredients. Everything generally lacked flavour and overall it tastes like home cooking. Not worth the money spent. Significantly better thai places in Mcr for the same price. Sorry. Response to the owner - Wow, is that how you talk to paying customers who want to leave an honest review? It is very unprofessional and shows how you cannot handle constructive feedback. What a horrible attitude you have. I have been to Thai Kitchen No.6, Thaikun, Try Thai, Hong Thai and Chilli Banana in Manchester. They are all significantly better quality and taste than your food, and for the same price. As an asian person, I also go to Thailand regularly and so know about authentic Thai food. Your food is not even close to the street food over there. Wagamamma sucks but it is still better than your food. At least a customer won’t get scammed over there.

We tried this place for Saturday dinner and it is an interesting one as the food was lovely and authentic but be forewarned that service is a bit hit and miss. In terms of food, my hubby and I had the yam woon sen, tom yum noodle soup and pork kao pad ka prow. It was all tasty and packed a (chilli) punch and I was glad they obliged with my 'no coriander' request. However, we were part of a big group of 11 and whilst some got their food fairly promptly, there were others who only got their food after the rest had long finished their meal. We appreciate that they may not have been used to a big group but it would be great if they had been more communicative or apologetic given the big delays. In addition, they kept confusing our orders and we kept having to remind them about outstanding items. That said, the food is nice and I think if it's just an individual or small group, it could be ok.

BEST THAI RESTAURANT IN MANCHESTER I said it and i will say it again!!! This is as close as you can get for authentic thai food in Manchester. I have tried a few Thai restaurants and nothing has ever come close! I LOVE their Tom Yum, it is perfectly sour and with a great kick to it. Other restaurants do it too thick, too salty, not sour and spicy enough. But this is the real deal! Their noodles are chewy and goes well with the broth. We also ordered the pork blood broth noodles, which I forgot the Thai name. If you have never had it the idea might be scary, but you will not taste the blood at all, just deep and rich broth that will make you want to finish it. I expected the grilled pork and deep fried tofu to be a bigger portion to be honest, shocked me a bit when I saw it coming. But they did the sides good as well, well seasoned pork with spicy tangy sauce, tofu with rich soy taste. Their pineapple juice is amazing as well, taste like fresh pineapple, no extra seasoning, no chemical taste. Just refreshing summer drink like what I will get in Thailand! I just wish the portions were bigger, even the noodles are not enough to fill me, a not so big eater. The sides have much smaller portions compared to the photos on the menu. I would expect bigger plates with such price!

I brought my Thai mum here and I am so glad I did! I could tell it was going to be good just from looking at the menu and photos, but wow, if you want delicious, authentic Thai food, this is the place. There are so many incredible dishes on the menu that you just can’t get in a lot of other Thai restaurants, I can’t wait to come back and try more already! We came pretty early, about 4 o clock, and we were there till 7 because we loved it so much and were chatting away with Chef May. It did start getting pretty busy after 6 though (even on a Wednesday), so I would definitely recommend booking ahead! I find it a bit ridiculous that people are complaining about the issue of the toilet being round the corner, it’s really not far and I noticed that other restaurants and businesses in Deansgate Mews also have their own toilets in the same block. It’s hardly a sacrifice to eat delicious Thai food in a cute, casual setting in my opinion, unless you have mobility issues, but hey, each to their own. I also disagree with the complaints I’ve seen about pricing, considering chef May’s prices are in line with every other Thai restaurant I’ve been to (and I’ve been to many), plus her food is tasty, excellent quality, and are generous portions too. Myself and my mum both got one of our favourite noodle dishes - Kuai Tiew Moo Nam Tok, and the portion was huge! I also highly recommend the tod maan pla (thai fishcakes). Visited on the recommendation of a friend. It was terrible. The cook was fiddling with her hair whilst adding ingredients to dishes she was cooking and the lad waiting on similarly was running his fingers thro his hair before picking up dishes and bringing to table. That said the staff were pleasant. Alcoholic drinks limited to bottled beer- we had one beer and 2 diet cokes. The food - the strips of pork starter was £6.50 tasteless and wouldn’t have fed a mouse, the dip was tasty. Sunshine or summer rolls? - barely any duck and freezing cold probably our bad choice but if your eatery is freezing cold and they’re a summer dish take them off the menu! - Prawn red curry with sticky rice was very tasty. Minced pork with rice and fried egg was exactly that! The couple sat next to us left before their starters arrived having seen ours. I am happy to dine in cafe surroundings and given this I don’t expect white linen and silver service but this place is scruffy. We got 3pieces of kitchen roll for napkins, we weren’t given any plates other than what the dishes came in and it was so cold we ate with our outdoor coats on. We arrived at 4pm and we were done by 4.45pm Sadly at £49.95 it didn’t put a smile on our faces

This isn't 'authentic', its just really bad and very overpriced. What can I say apart from this was the worst Thai I've ever had. Living in Sydney and London for 20 years Ive had my fair share of Thai food. Ive even worked in an authentic Thai restaurant. First of all 6 pounds for an undrinkable, off wine from a box (even though the menu does list a bottle). Then we were served duck summer rolls. As my grandma would say, the duck must of walked through on stillts as there was so,so little in Pad krapow was stone cold and the egg was raw. Terrible serving size and generally nothing like I've had anywhere else. I couldn't taste any basil. £13.50 for a plate of room temperature rice and a couple of spoons of chicken with hardly any sauce. Very small and watery green curry (yes, I know its a wet curry but it shouldn't taste like a lemongrass stock). Also a tiny serving. We had two starters, two mains, I had to leave my wine it was so rank. 50 quid for room temperature food that looks like it should carry a health warning.

Awful. Waited over 45 mins for starters to be told it was the wrong menu. Food poor quality with cheap ingredients in my opinion. Lady tried took my card to pay and when I asked for it back denied she had it.... after I insisted she lucky... found it. Just don't go. I travel a lot. Eat at a lot of places. This is up there with the worst I've been. Shame as it has potential.

Food is ok but female staff (who is a chef) was unfriendly and grumpy. I’m Thai so I have communicated with this female staff in Thai language and each words came out from her mouth were grumpy and not bothered. While I was having the food I can hear her voice shouting from the kitchen swearing in Thai language and of course other customers weren’t bothered as they didn’t understand Thai but I’m Thai so I understood that. This is not professional at all. I won’t go back.
