Siam Smile in Worcester

A very pleasant evening out with good food and a pleasant waitress. It looks more like a cafe than a restaurant but is clean with good food.

We were visiting Worcester for a work trip and were looking for a good Thai restaurant - and we weren't disappointed! The food was delicious and fresh straight from the kitchen. Our waiter was very sweet and listened very carefully to our dietary requirements and ensured they were met with every dish. He was very polite and welcoming, as was the chef. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in this neck of the woods again! :) Great menu for anyone looking for vegetarian and vegan Thai options also! PS. Tom Yam Soup is the best x

My husband and I stopped here for dinner and had a fantastic meal and excellent service. We shared a lightly battered cod in delicious black bean sauce and a prawn dish. Both were perfect. The owner's son did an outstanding job serving us. Next time our travels land us in Worcester, we will be back!

Overcharged the bill twice. I’m not sure if it’s on purpose or not. Corner is full of dust. food tasted below ok comparing with other thai restaurants. Not recommend

Just to say, service spot on, attentive but not over-bearing. Food was so fresh and tasty, just delicious, and portion sizes just right. Very good menu even as non-meat eaters, it was hard to choose. Will definitely be back.

Delicious! Siam Smile never disappoints. Tom Yum is exactly what you need on a cold evening. Fresh, tasty and well presented. The only problem we had was deciding what to chose.

Solid Thai experience...a little on the generic side but still fresh and tasty!

Small family run Thai / Malaysian restaurant.. Parking easy at Council car park 150 yds away. Nice touch with prawn crackers as they were multi couloured. Nice bottle of Thai Monsoon white wine. Starters : Chicken satay and prawn in parcel both very nice though wish that instead of having one large piece of chicken on the skewer , tnhey cut it into 3 or 4 bite size bits. Sauces good. Main : Lamb Massaman nice curry, big chunks of lamb but cooked nicely so easy to split up , also potatoes and good curry sauce Nasi Goreng a bit spicy but enjoyable , they added a fried egg on top at our request. Coconut rice. Good. Prawn and broccoli curry very tender broccoli and nice prawns . Good sauce. Enjoyed the meal , staff very nice , polite , cheerful and efficient Good value for money

Visiting Worcester for a few days what a great find although not busy what a shame Highly recommend food excellent hats off to chef and staff

The food that was delivered was not like it was in the past. The sate ayam was barely cooked, rendang ayam was not a "dry" dish how it should be. Although the chicken was very dry. The lamb pad bai-krapaow was supposed to be hot, but all we tasted was salt. And the nasi goreng had egg shell in it. Also food looked like it was microwaved. Siam smile was great before, but has now lost me as a customer. Especially as the price of the food is not supported by quality or quantity.

The decor is basic, but the food is excellent. Beautifully presented and most flavoursome. The best thai food we've had outside of Thailand. Well worth a visit.

Stopped off in Worcester on our way home from a family visit. Small, unassuming, family run eatery near the cathedral. Children were playing in the corner when we arrived and were entertaining throughout. I had the chicken satay and red curry while my partner had the vegetable tempura and green curry. The food was fresh, flavoursome and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and understated and the price point was spot on. My favourite type of restaurant: simple, fresh and delicious food with good service.

Small restaurant so limiting numbers of diners to ensure social distancing but doing good business with take aways. I suggest if you want to dine in the restaurant you book to make sure you can get a table Took Grandson for 21st birthday as he enjoys Thai/Chinese cuisine. Starters :- Sesame seed /prawn toast , curry puffs and chicken/prawn parcels excellent. Main :- Chicken rendang , Lamb Massaman and prawn rendang again excellent plus stir fried veg and steamed rice. Plates nice and hot , food retained the heat from cooking and flavours/spiciness just right. All features necessary for enjoyment . Service excellent . Grandson happy and enjoyed meal. Absolutely no criticism from the three of us.

This is a beautiful little restaurant with limited covers & proper Thai food cooked in an open kitchen. Just down the road from Worcester’s beautiful cathedral & a nice part of the city near the river, if you’re visiting from out of area. The staff are pleasant and attentive & having eaten here dozens of times the last decade, the food is consistently outstanding. Also does a roaring takeaway trade & delivery too via 3rd parties; enormously popular locally

Poor take away experience. Half the food was not edible when it arrived and had leaked into the bag due to poor packaging. The portion that was edible was barely mediocre and massively over priced. Restaurant wanted no responsibility at all since the delivery was made by Uber eats. Won’t be using again.

Having been to all the thai's within the area, this one really holds its own. A lot smaller than the others but the jungle curry was delicious. Nice sitting next to the fish too, will be back (like Arnie)

Have eaten here many times and ordered takeaway but don't write a review every time. The latest visit was, as with every other, outstanding. All the food tastes excellent and the service within the restaurant is polite, swift and exactly what you would want. Having been to thailand, the chefs at siam smile make the most authentic tasting dishes when compared to getting it in Bangkok. I've never had to return a dish or complain about any standards. They do close, unfortunately for us Worcester residents, for a month every year to go and see family in thailand but every one deserves a holiday...just means I don't get a fix of thai food for a month....I've tried the other thai restaurants in Worcester and, in my humble opinion, they just don't reach the same level as siam smile

Came here for a valentine's meal thinking it would be nice freshly cooked authentic food, but had a view of the kitchen and saw that majority of the food was microwaved. Not good value for money. Wouldn't recommend.

We managed to get a table for four on a wet Saturday evening without a prior reservation and enjoyed the friendly service and fresh-tasting food on offer here. The starters, including steamed dumplings and veggie spring rolls were particularly generous and nicely presented. Everyone was happy with their choice of mains, especially the Ruam Talay steamed mixed seafood and the Lamb Pad Bai-Krapraow curry. Being family-run, and with the kitchen in view from the dining area, there's a nice homely feel here so we look forward to a re-visit.

Decided to give this place a try after a recommendation and have been back twice since in the last three weeks. It doesn't have fancy decor but what it does offer is a very warm welcome and an excellent menu choice with the tastiest food at a very reasonable price.

Fantastic food , and great service

Four of us bought a range of takeaway food from here a few weeks ago and we all enjoyed it.The Tom Yam soup was very good and my spicy chicken dish did have a decent kick to it. The cost was £66 for all of us, which is possibly a little steep, but the food made up for it.This was the first time we had tried this takeaway and we will use it again when we next visit Worcester.

I had takeaway last night for just four adults as I had guests round. It was just over £50 for two chicken curries, one prawn curry, one pad thai,two rice. Whilst the food tasted lovely the portions were shocking. The tub of prawns was just half full and we each had just a few prawns each. The chicken curry tub was a smaller tub and half filled with boiled small potatoes. My husband lived in Thailand for some time and knows Thai food well and he did not feel it was authentic. Unfortunately our usual place was closed, but we will be waiting for them to reopen before having Thai food again.

Excellent could not fault the service and food

We ordered a take-away. They are so pleasant on the phone and service is very quick. We had a red thai curry. It was exactly as you would expect. I've been to thailand a few times and have eaten in many thai restaurants around the world and this was as good as any I've had. Also had the jungle curry. It was like a tom yum curry, very tasty. Would definitely order from here again. I have eaten in the restaurant in the past. Nice ambiance.

We have been to Thailand many times and are big fans of Thai food. Siam Smile is easily the best Thai restaurant in Worcester in our opinion, just great food, really authentic and as spicy as you want it. Lovely restaurant too and very friendly attentive staff, highly recommended.

Love this place! Thought it was just a small downstairs, did not know they had more seating upstairs too.

multiple times have visited Siam smile and have never had any issues or disappointments with this gem of a restaurant that can easily be missed. Appearances are deceptive and what may appear from the outside to be nothing special, hides the fact that this is, in my opinion, by far the best Thai restaurant in Worcester. The food allows you to either experience authentic Thai food for the first time or to be transported back to being in Thailand and the fantastic flavours, smells and experience that only this cuisine can provide.

Just shared a takeaway with our friends - very good indeed. Our friends eat there on a regular basis and say its even better when eaten in - must be very, very good!

8 of went for a family meal and everyone enjoyed the food. I haven't been there for some years and ive been missing out. Good menu and it should be busier as they work had to serve great food.

Best mango ice cream. A welcome treat after a long drive. Great service and excellent food. Go in a group so that you can share more dishes, ideally outside the busy periods to get the full attention of the chef. Gave this a five star review but google show one star. We ordered a takeaway from here and were overwhelmed with the tastes and quality of the food, by far the best Thai food we have ever tried! We can't believe we have waited so long to try this place and will definitely have an evening meal here soon to sample more of the menu. Highly recommend and as others have said it's much better than Thai gallery!

This is a great little local restaurant, great service and amazing food. All the food we sampled tasted just as good as the food I’ve eaten in Thailand. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed meal out.

We had a party of 15 people and everything was perfect. It's a family run business with great flavours. Don't hold back on the spice though, we are not all lightweights! Lovely people, amazing food. Thank you for a brilliant evening and I'll see you again soon.

This Thai restaurant is the closest to food we've had in Thailand. It has no glitz and glamour but excellent food and service at very reasonable prices

Iv wanted to try Siam Smile for a While and so We did ! And cant recommend it enough!!

We have tried all the other Thai restaurants in Worcester except this one. Within a week of returning from Thailand we tried it out. We chose the same meals we ate in Thailand. Chicken Satay, King Prawn in Pastry, Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken & Cashew.

Lovely takeout, clean and fresh and not at all gooey. Really fragrant soup and stir fry was delicious.

We took our best friends here last night. It was wonderful. The most authentic Thai food since we were in Thailand. Smiling courteous and attentive staff. We had the best time.

Small place and not well known but honestly the quality of the food is unlike anything else I've ever experienced. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed.

We have travelled extensively across SEAsia and this was the most authentic Thai meal outsid of Thailand. The food is great service. The downside is we were on an overnight to Worcester if we were here this would be are go to restaurant

Wonderful dining experience. Top notch Thai green or red curry for little over a tenner. Clean. Fast service. Authentic. The owner barely speaks a word of English, which is great. Saves having to waste time with all the BS small talk you get from many restauranteurs.

Food was excellent but the staff appearance/dress needs to improve as does the restaurant decoration. I would visit again but it needs to have more of a Thai feel about the place.

Went for a meal with my family including my 11 and 7 year old kids. Excellent and friendly service with amazing food. What’s great is it being a local family run enterprise.

Friendly welcome on the Sunday we visited without booking. Nicely decorated without being chintzy Thai. The food was good and nicely presented. My wife's pad ti came in a birdsnest of noodles and the wine was excellent and not overpriced.

Delicious freshly cooked Thai food. The lamb massaman was one of the best I have tasted with lamb that fell apart in the mouth. With tom yum soup to start followed by a generous portion of curry I didn't think I could fit in a dessert however my husband twisted my arm and we shared the coconut crepe. So glad we did as the unexpectedly green crepe with ice cream was a divinely sweet end to a lovely meal. On a Thursday night we were the only ones sat in the restaurant but we didn't care. Lovely food, good service. Would come back if we were to stay in Worcester again!

Having a rare night child-free and wanting something easy and affordable with a bit of a buzz we went through Saturday night Worcester looking for inspiration.

Just had a really nice meal here. The beancurd with vegetables and steamed rice was delicious. Served in a nice light sauce. Staff very friendly, warm welcome. Try the curry puff starter too. Like tiny veggie Cornish pasties. Would visit again if in the area.

We arrived late afternoon in Worcester, not having visited before. We had a wander up to the shopping area and walked passed this restaurant, deciding to give it a try. We were so pleased we did, food very good, service excellent, would definitely return.

Fresh quality ingredients. We couldn't fault it! This is our second takeaway and definitely worth the money.

Very good service, reasonable price, but most of the food just wasn't good. The curries had very little flavour, and the tempura batter was a little too greasy. The oyster sauce stir fry had a great flavour, but used an unnecessary amount of oil. I eat and cook a lot of Thai food, so it isn't down to me just not understanding the cuisine.

Six of us travelled over 186 miles to Worcester via Cheltenham avoiding a major accident on the M4 due to ice by rerouting via the M40. Unfortunately in the early hours of the morning a coach overturned in the fog on a slipway joining the M40.Getting back to the review this is our favourite Thai restuarant and has continued to please although there now are more restuarants in Worcester. We asked the chef who is also the owner to choose a menu for us starting with mixed starters, the prawns in batter were very tasty but I was pleasantly surprised by the red pepper and butternut squash in a very light batter. We enjoyed the Ped Makam (duck) and tried the Lamb Yang which was delicious. The Thai green curry was as good as I remember and that the weeping tiger fillet beef was too flavoursome, I ordered extra plain boiled rice. The Pad Thai noodles were lovely especially as we were given an extra large portion. We also ordered fried rice. For pudding we were given bananna fritters and ice cream along with a green crepe also with ice cream.The restuarant was a little chilly so wear a jumper or order a very hot curry. Service was very good. I would definately recommend this restuarant and if your are not full you can always order more!

Thought we would order restaurant food for better quality Ordered £40 worth A shared starter, 2 stir frys and a potion of rice and rice crackers Half of order missing when delivered Tryed the beef stir fry it was like chewing old boot leather, . What we received was in small tubs and apart from the rice, only half full. It really was not worth the money.Phoned about missing items and was told they would send them but it would be at least 20mins so sent it back. The delivery driver gave our £40 back but did not offer us the £3 tip he had been given. Ordered Online via Justeat

Worked in Worcester for 13 weeks over the Summer and made sure I visited here once a week every week. The food is fresh and flavoursome. Its very good value for money. All the staff are very friendly and I got to know them well, and the service is perfect. Its just a shame its rarely busy.There are other Thai restaurants in Worcester that are in the City centre and these are more popular - however pay this place a visit, you wont regret it, and the folks here will really value your custom!

A small place which is more of a takeaway spot but turned out to be good for dining in as well. Food was great as there wasn't that sickening sweetness that you associate with Thai food. Food can be expensive but there is this budget section which made it cheaper for us compared to other Thai places. There prepared our order pretty quickly as well.

We use this place 2 to 3 times a year when visiting Worcester. It's our go to restaurant for service good food and value. No more sadly it's as if new people have taken over and they are more interested in the take away business. We booked a table and considering it was the weekend needn't bothered. Why are the lights so bright inside now , this place is as intimate as Gatwick Airport. Average food and gruff serviceNot again

Just having a girls night in with the family & thought let's have thai - went thru 'just eat' & to be fair order arrived on time but having spent £44 all we received was 4 small chicken satays & a small tub of what was supposed to be a mixed starter for two people???? Called restaurant and they said the rest of our order would be with us in 10 minutes - again arrived on time but was just a bag of prawn crackers & 4 more chicken satays - with an apology post it note - pathetic!!!! Thank God for frozen pizzas coming to rescue!!!! Will never be ordering from them again!!

Girls night in ordered selection of starters. Cost £42 so expected a reasonable amount of food . Absolute disaster. We received 2 small tubs of mixed starter £15 each?? Felt completely ripped off. You wouldnt believe what we received for £42. Why didnt we stick with our old faithful chinese takeaway that would of been much cheaper????Completely ruined our evening. Vv embarrassing to our guests. Luckily we had frozen pizza in. Never ordering from siam smile again.

Was recommended to Siam smile by a good friend, so we booked and went for my birthday, and can honestly say it was excellent, food quality, portion size and service, will be returning very soon

After a previous bad experience two or three years ago we decided to try again in view recent good reviews. The food was OK but the service was very good. We finished our food. Our dishes were cleared but we weren't asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. We asked for the menu. We were presented with the bill instead. Underwhelmed we paid and left.

Once more our Saturday evening post-rugby match meal was at Siam Smiles, I think for the fourth year running. This time the 12 of us were seated upstairs and given how much laughing and chatter there was this was probably a good thing! We all ordered a starter each then a main with rice or noodles. Add in 6 bottles of wine and with the total bill being a fraction over £300 we fwly it to be very good value. The service was efficient and not intrusive, and we weren't rushed through the meal, allowing us to take our time and we left over two hours after arriving at 7.30pm. My garlic pork ribs were lovely and tender and my husbands green lipped mussels were in a delicious broth. My main course beef jungle curry was medium spiced and very tasty, and the lamb dish of my husband pretty peppery hot and very savoury - I'll have that next time! We'll definitely be back, we love Siam Smiles!

Slightly different to the normal range, good service, good food. Away from the central areas so not crowded, but also not always open.Only had one dish I didn't like, but I was experimenting and didn't like an ingredient, but that's my fault.

Booked last minute after seeing the reviews. Have a set menu which was very tasty, hot and an ample portion. Will be booking again.

Live in Worcester so know all eating places but this is one restaurant we continually go back too, like yesterday evening for new years eve, never had a bad meal here and the staff are always friendly and helpful, it looks small but there is seating upstairs, its not a massive menu but is this a bad thing? I like it that way, my wife is a veggie and she has commented that the selection could be a bit better for her but we have that problem in nearly every restaurant we go to. If you like Thai food give this a go, always seems like fresh produce is used, I don't think you be disappointed, see you soon.

We've ordered food to pick up here a couple times and we have not been disappointed! Each time our meals were cooked fresh and absolutely delicious. You can tell that the ingredients are very carefully selected and of good quality. Very kind service as well!We will definitely keep coming back!

My wife and I often visit this restaurant on the last day of her term (she teaches) so we tend to be in quite early. The staff seem to remember us well and always give us a lovely welcome. All the meals are freshly cooked from scratch and are wonderfully presented. They are also very tasty indeed. The seafood must have a special mention. Amazing in such a land locked City!Our last visit (October 2015) was no exception. Probably one of our best visits. Well done.

First time visited and I agree with the reviews about the food... it was beautiful but it was overshadowed by poor organisation. I admit we were late for our meal, however I did call up and explain and they said it was absolutely fine, only 10 minutes. We got there and I'm pretty sure they had given our table away as she was trying to find us a seat and in the end placed upstairs where there is no atmosphere and it's freezing! The menu clearly states you can adjust the spiciness to your curry, I asked for this and she agreed. Over 10 mins later I was told the chef wouldn't do this. I quickly changed my meal which was fine however the food arrived before our plates! Plus my rice was a while after my duck meaning it was going cold. The waitress also snatched a menu from our table for the other guests, no asking or apologising it qas a pretty sharp snatch. It wasn't a romantic meal away from the kids as we wished! I would not return.

Not a big restaurant in terms of seating capacity but you don't feel crowded. You can watch the Chef at work which is always good. Waitresses friendly , efficient , cheerful and polite.Food is good quality I tried their lamb yang (a lamb steak with a spicy mint sauce ) for the first time and was very pleased , curry puffs also for first time and again good . Regular dishes Satay Ayam/ Rendang Ayam / Prawn nasi goreng , all upto usual good standard Will return

Ate here years ago (7?) and had one of the best curries I'd ever had! (Something like a fruity malaysian curry - which I couldn't see on the menu this time, or just didn't recognise it) but I did have the curry Laksa (very recommended as a dish and very good here!) everyone said it was one of the best Malaysian/Thai meals they'd had so I had to write a reply! Thanks for the great service, great food, and authentic Thai restaurant style when one of the kids is wondering about smiling and waving at strangers! Great Thai and deserves the reputation for the best in Worcester.

We come here all the time and I have never had anything less than fantastic service and the best Thai food I've ever eaten! Staff are friendly and polite and the food is incredible and always super fresh. If you like real Thai food- this is the place to go.

My wife and son ate dinner here on a Friday night after the T20 cricket - so it was quite late; after 9pm.Food is very authentic and tasty. There are normal Thai staples such as green curry - really nice - but also more unusual dishes which I can't remember the name of! One was seafood cooked in foil with a kind of breadcrumb filling - delicious!Feels authentic too.

Very good meal and the staff are lovely. The kitchen is open plan so you can dee your meal being cooked.
