Montis in Worcester

Had a Biryani and it was ridiculously hot ,spices not cooked out and i had to spit out a cardamom pod with every mouth.Ended up mixing in a tub of natural yoghurt just so that I could eat some of it. This used to be the best take away but it's no where near now. The saving grace was the chicken was tender.

Terrible experience ordered the madras but when it arrived it was full of grease! Instantly put me off my food! Rang montis to come collect and refund me but were not interested! Such poor food but even worse customer service! Will never use again and recommend avoiding this place!!

Awful. Food as delivered over one hour late. I phoned to ask what was happening and the person I spoke to put the phone down on me. Disgusted with the customer service. When the food eventually arrived it was very average. I will never order from here again.

So far, this is the closest to what I think a proper Indian home cooked curry tastes like. It’s true that I only order the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken, but these absolutely stand out from all of the other places I’ve tried. This is a very honest review for an especially tasty food.

Absolutely fantastic compared to everywhere else I've tried. Last Friday their delivery driver messed up and we waited too long (they sent a freshly cooked order though, amazing) but I don't care, the food is SO good and normally it's super quick. I'm sticking to Monti's. They work hard and they care about getting it right.

We ordered a takeaway online and got given a 6.55pm slot. The food ended up being almost 30 mins late, and unfortunately it wasn’t worth the wait. The food was atrocious. The low lights being the peshwari naans which were limp and dripping in honey. The other being the tandoori mixed grill. The meat was incredibly dry and tasteless. VERY disappointing. Having used them several times before, unfortunately I won’t be ordering from them again.

Received delivery tonight of biryani and rogan josh which were ok the peshwari nan tasted of mould couldn’t eat phoned through to inform said manager would phone back still waiting

Have used this place for years and always loved it. The last twice the food seems different. Either changed hands or different chef. Either way this place isn’t for us any more.

Absolutely shocking !! Will never ever order again food came as watery slop horrific the keema nanny was raw inside the meat was still pink we phoned and complained they re sent the order but only half the order and again was just awful would not feed it to my dog !!!! Montis worst ever Indian I have ever ever had avoid !!!!

We were passing thru Worcester on the canal and wanted an Indian meal, after a quick Google search this place came up the closest to the boat. Checking out the menu saw a few things I'd never heard of. Ordered a meal for 3 of us and walked up to collect it. I knew it would be good when I walked in and I wasn't wrong. The portions are big and a very reasonable price. The staff were lovely. If I lived here I would be using this great takeway a fair bit. Thank you, great food.

Ordered last night. Chicken balti and garlic mushrooms. Had a funny feeling but ate it nonetheless. Now have food poisoning bad and can’t go to work.

I've been using Monti's since it first opened and they've always been good. Tonight the delivery took more than an hour to arrive but it was worth the wait. Probably the best food I've ever had from them and thst's saying something

Waited 30 minutes in the shop after being told to come in 20 minutes .. got the food which was very watery and tasteless not at all an authentic Indian ..

This place is the best I have found in Worcester since moving here from Birmingham. Dismiss the frontage and the fact it looks like your walking into a house. Forget that the Indian take away a few doors down looks prettier and has better lighting. Just order your food from here, sit back and enjoy. The Currys are spectacular. My favourite is the Punjab Balti, delicious and a lovely hint of spice. Be wary of the peshwari naan, it should come with its own armbands as it was swimming in honey, the lamb in the nagris kebab was a little too pink for my liking... But those curries! Amazing

Very watery sauces, burnt poppadoms and rubbery naan bread. Overall a very disappointing meal.

Used Montis for the second time as I was so pleased with it last week. Unfortunately the delivery took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive after being quoted an hour. That was the only disappointing part, the curry once again was excellent, the best I’ve had in Worcester. I will definitely use them again and keep my fingers crossed there are no delivery issues next time!

My husband and I have been getting takeaways from Montis for over a decade now. It is always excellent. The portions are large. Everything tastes fresh. Our favourite order is chicken pathia, sag paneer and peshwari naan. It is hands down the best curry in Worcester, and the best sag paneer I've ever had.

Very poor meal . Soggy chicken tikka . Actually inedible . No salad or mint sauce. Rice and potato dish - both tasted like they’d been reheated - not at all tasty . Really disappointing. I won’t be using again .

Quality food, great flavours. Our new favourite after using them for the first time. Have used most around Worcester and these are very very good.

Top notch takeaway and a bit of a hidden gem, dishes have layers of flavour and spice, with the different dishes on their menu having their own character. Chicken Rajasthani in particular feels like its been freshly home made and prepared. Generous portions and friendly staff too, so delivers on all fronts!

My favorite takeaway! Highly recommended, very popular but I never wait long for delivery. Excellent service the staff are always obliging, polite and happy to accommodate any specific requests. Portions are very generous, the variety of dishes is huge and the flavours and spices are Mouthwatering. Very reasonable price for the high quality too... Perfection.

Well dissapointed , chicken like rubber and lamb mostly fat ... all watery to , my son had chicken tandori starter , hardly and chicken as was all bone :( wont order again

I don't think that food was very fresh. My partner and I didn't feel well at all after a meal. Wouldn't recomend. However some people may like that place anyway.

First time we had a takeaway from here last night and have to say it was excellent, can’t say anything bad about the food or service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND will be our regular take away from now on!

For our first time using Montis, we used our phone to order from the website, which was easy to use with good menu descriptions and provided a handy count-down clock for when our meal would be ready for collection. The food was excellent, really good flavours and taste. We will be going back again!

Regularly order from montis always fast delivery and the food was great always delivered hot and large portions. Definitely worth it.

Have been using Montis on a regular basis for the last few months and every meal has been superb. Achari, jalfrezi,dansak,tikka masala. Food always arrives piping hot, great value if you go through 'Just Eat' and get the 20% discount. Delivery always seems to take a little longer than estimated so we just order earlier. Definitely recommend Montis.

We moved to Worcester a year ago and worked our way through pretty much every Indian takeaway we could find. None were great. Some were average. We tried Monti's and it's been our go-to ever since. Food is always good and consistent, the prices are reasonable and the staff are always helpful. Can't fault it.

we had a takeout from Montis Indian take away, I had a lamb dansak with pilau rice and it was very nice full of flavour others in the group had a 1 madras 1 chicken tikka masala 1 tandoori chicken all said they really enjoyed the meal and had no complaints, so will defiantly use again.

Él fue tan servicial y muy servicial, nada era demasiado problema para él. Chris también entregado nuestra comida caliente. Nuestra cama madras gambas era tan sabrosa y el hierbas y especias realmente hizo que nuestro curry algo para recordar. I love the Currys from Monti's. We have even renamed Friday's to 'Dansak Friday's'. The portions are generous and the food is super tasty not bland or too hot. After moving here from Brum, I missed the curries until I found Monti's 😊

Yo vivo a 150 millas de Montis, y es el lugar para conseguir comida para llevar desde cuando estoy en Worcester. Si tuviera su Pollo naga en mi restaurante favorito de Bangladesh, estaría contento. gran calidad, no es barato pero la relación calidad-precio.

What a turnaround from my previous review in September 2016. Montis has had a change of management and after using it 3-4 times can only say it is superb. Food has been delivered in good time, piping hot and absolutely delicious.

After using 'Montis' takewaway in Wylds Lane for over 2 years with no problems and to be honest the food has been brilliant, tonight we ordered food and it was the worst I have ever had in my life. We had 3 different dishes and they were all 5 pieces of chicken in a sweet watery sauce. I phoned the restaurant to complain and asked for a refund and 'guess what'??. They didn't want to know, told me there was a temporary 'chef' on but there was no way they were going to give me any money back. Got in touch with 'Just Eat' who rang the restaurant...and guess what......Montis didn't want to know. so after 2 years I am now looking for a new Indian takeaway. Customer service.....Montis don't know the meaning of it....

I use Montis regularly and the food is consistently good, as is the delivery time. Always arrives hot. Portions are very generous. The spicy dishes are spicy so if you have a low chilli tolerance go for a mild dish.

I have tried nearly everything on the menu and I have to say they are fantastic never had a bad meal. They season and spice everything perfectly whether you want something mild or hot. I love curry and have sampled nearly all in Worcester and as I say they provide a proper authentic Indian meal. Bland is not in their vocabulary.

Although the chicken tikka massala was a bit on the runny side, it was not enough to deduct a star rating as the food tasted great and came bang on time!! We also liked the fact that there was the option to have British food too so it catered for all needs.

The service here is always excellent, food is always delievered within the time quoted over the phone and is always hot. The delievery drivers are always friendly. The food itself i cannot recommend any higher, its the best chicken vindaloo i have tasted.

We have been using this takeaway for years (back to when it was Sha's).The quality has changed at times which we've put down to a change of chef. However, we tried it again last week & the meals were stunning !

Orderes a simple chicken tikka roll and chips, to be told a 20 min wait, so after 35 min still not ready, an hour later I gave up and aasked for my money back the chap behind the counter refunded the money and gave my partner the food, which was decent of him. Got home and the food was absolutely below standard. Will never use them again

First time we have used this restaurant and was really good. Few minutes late on delivery but no problem with that as the food was excellent. Generous portions well cooked and very well presented.Definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be using them again.

The takeaway food here is far better than most of the Indian restaurants in Worcester. Very friendly delivery drivers and very well presented. You get plenty too. I always have the tandoori mixed grill and the meat is tender and plentiful. Won't go anywhere else if I want a night in.

My boyfriend recommended this little place to me and we had a take away from it a couple of times. I would say one of the best take aways in Worcester. They even deliver you a lovely red rose! It is very good. And I would definitely recommend.

There are a lot of very good indian restaurants in Worcester so the competition is strong. I ordered a takeaway from Montis as had recently received a leaflet through the door and thought I would try it. The tandoori chicken starters were a bit dry although plenty of meat on them. The chicken had a strange taste although my daughter seemed to enjoy it. My lamb tikka passanda was strips of lamb (quite tender though) in way too much sauce. You would have been forgiven for thinking that the sauce had come from a jar as it was almost puree'd and I had to spoon half of it away. Based on this experience, I don't think I would try Monti's again as there is lots of other choice in Worcester.

Lovely food nice spices and authentic ingredients I love indian cuisine so have fairly high expectations of this type of food but thought it was probably the nicest indian in worcester. The massalla sauce was creamy and really nice and the vegetables were cooked to perfection really nice overall. Have to admit i was not looking forward to it after having a dreadful experience of indian food in worcester but yeah it was good!

Really good Indian take away. We use it on a regular basis and the food is always good quality and hot when it arrives. Has some unusual dishes for those who want something a little different but the staples are there as well.Delivery service is good, and when it snowed they even walked it round to us as the roads were impassable. Very pleasant service and usually food arrives before the time that they suggest which is great when you are hungry.We wouldn't use anywhere else for our indian take aways
