For me, the best in the area. Amazing sandwiches, great people working there, very good value for money.

Absolutely delicious food and great service. The women behind the counter are so sweet and the food was dreamy.

I literally dream about the soup here. Courgette and Parmesan is insanely tasty. Good value for money, the service is golden! Huge variation of deli salad and sandwiches! Would highly recommend this spot if you are in Leith/Shore area 👌🏽✨

Preguntamos a una pareja sentada en una mesa si sabían de algún lugar, habiendo establecido que eran locales. Señalaron sin vacilar detrás de ellos, porque estaban sentados fuera de la orilla del mar, diciendo que era el mejor lugar de este tipo. Bueno, no sabemos sobre la "competencia", pero no podríamos haber estado más contentos: el personal era excelente - servicial, afable, y nos hizo tan bienvenidos; las opciones de menú de almuerzo eran acogedoras, interesantes, y originales. I love going to this place! Good sandwiches (my favorite is Life of Brian with a little bit of chilli oil), tasty soups and a wonderful view! Good service! I recommend it.

Ordered a couple of focaccia as a Friday treat... Amazing and different selection of fillings for every diet. Substantial is an understatement. Bright and sharp interior that was very welcoming.

Favourite place in Leith for lunch, all their sandwiches are insanely good!!

What a great find. A small (10 tables) cafe beside the shore (we managed to bag a table by the window). The food was absolutely delicious. The Mumma's Sandwich (basil pesto, mozzarella, sunblush tomatoes, proscuitto, salami and rocket) on a choice of white brown or foccacia (which I had - toasted) is without doubt the best 'sandwich' I've' had in years. Himself had the Georgia (goats cheese, proscuitto, hazlenuts, fig jam and rocket) and his opinion was the same. Incredibly good value for money at £10 with soup included - spicy carrot and Thai style soup - properly spicy too. Service was good, coffee tasty - what's not to like.

A well crafted menu of sandwiches which worked really well and a brilliant baked potato with home made slaw . All the ingredients were fresh well selected and put together in combinations that worked every time . Probably a big too big for a lunch , for us anyway , but had to finish what we had as it was that good . Definitely a good daytime alternative to the other places on The Shore

A lovely location by the water in Leith. Very welcoming and friendly, staff were brilliant. The sandwiches are to die for, I had the special, haggis and chicken with peppercorn mayo. Would highly recommend! My other half had ‘the big P’ cheese,ham,coleslaw and mustard. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her so happy.

A real quaint place overseeing the canal where you could have a nice Scottish Breakfast! Gotta try while in Edinburgh....such a right vibe to chill with either a hot chocolate or a larte.

Since the new owners have taken over the business it has been transformed! Fantastic people, great coffee and wonderful food! The location is perfect too looking out into the Water of Leith! The interior is lovely too and spotlessly clean.

Asked for the best hangover cure on the menu and they didn’t let me down. Enjoyed with a pint next door at Malt & hops… worse ways to spend a lunchtime

My colleagues and I often come here to get takeaway lunch. Pulled pork is my favourite, tasty and juicy in big portion. Love their salad box as well, it comes with fritata and different items which you get to choose.

Unpretentious and simple. Located right on the river shore, with basic good options and good coffee. Friendly service and not to hard on the wallet. Good choice if in the neighborhood.

This place is absolutely amazing, lovely view over the water. Gorgeous coffee and beef burrito. I think I will come here for a couple hours a day to work and lunch for all the time I will be staying around!

By far the best coffee shop in Leith and I’ll tell you why! The service is the best, the coffee is the best, the salted caramel brownie is the best (ever!) and it’s the cheapest!

Great wraps, really good lunch. I had the chorizo, cherry tomatoes, kidney beans and cheddar wrap and it was great. Soups are also really good. Recommended for lunch definitely.

My sisters and I visited in September. We were staying in Leith at a B&B. We ate at the deli one night on a whim. Very nice waitress (from Australia! ) and excellent food and drink. We enjoyed the whole experience.

Love this place for breakfast rolls & lunch. Am currently dairy free and there are always delicious options on offer - not just the average sandwich shop offerings you'd expect. They also have daily specials. Yummy cakes too.

Good location ( view of the shore), generous portions when it comes to the food & the coffee is good ( I say this as a coffee connoisseur) . Staff are adequately polite and efficient . I live in the area and I will be returning here from time to time and will recommend to friends and colleagues.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would have defo given this place. The freshest wrap I've ever had. Yummy fillings, cheaper than any other place in the UK (cheaper than Subway, plus fresher than Subway, plus bigger portion than Subway for that price). I cannot recommend enough. Absolutely lovely food and people. Wish I could click a picture to share. Very very often I do. But, this wrap was in my mouth it as soon as served on table.

Sympa pour manger sur le pouce, prix corrects. Rien d'incroyable mais le staff est cool et les produits frais.

I'm not usually in leith and got here way too early, the deli had just opened so I popped in for breakfast - brought me back to life on a Monday morning with fine coffee and a bacon roll. May come back for lunch.

A niche little deli on the waterfront in Leith, serving great coffee.

I have treated myself on a few occasions to a tasty takeaway lunch from the shore deli co. Since moving to Leith in 2015. Their selection of salads (from healthy leafy or grainy options to the more hearty potato salad) is always really nice. A couple of changing soups and lots of other specials are on offer. Today I had (what looks to be the famous) pulled pork wrap with their slaw (didn't feel adventurous enough to try the wrap with pulled pork and macaroni cheese). £ 4 buys you a properly filled wrap that will tickle your tastebuds. Their coffee and freshly baked cakes and muffins (incl gluten free options) are worth trying out as well.

This place makes the best wraps and salad boxes. Friday is the best, macaroni and pulled pork wraps. The gluten free salted caramel brownies are also brilliant.

Pretty much every day I go here for lunch and have never been disappointed. The only issue i ever have is choosing between their delicious focaccia, amazing repertoire of salads or go for their famous pulled pork and house slaw wraps. They even manage to please my super taster friend and his refined palette every day and they always know whose wrap is whose!

Without doubt this is the best place to go for lunch in Leith and quite possibly Edinburgh. Whether you wish to sit in or take away, they have a fantastic menu to choose from which changes weekly. The toasted focaccias are amazing as well as the BBQ pulled pork slaw in a wrap all toasted up for delicious taste. The two people who run the place are laid back which makes the vibe nice and chilled. Great view as well across the Leith Shore.

I'm not going to write a novel about Shore Deli, there's no need. If you like the very best in healthy, fresh food at great prices and friendly service, this is the perfect place - sit in or takeaway.

This place is round the corner from my work and is a reliable source of coffee, breakfast, lunch and banter. Amazing food, friendly welcoming staff, generous portions. I love the salted caramel brownies. Home made eclectic salads that would make ottolenghi blush! Understated compared to a lot of the Hipster Cafes on the block. The pulled pork and home made slaw wrap will finish any man!

Nice deli. Pulled pork is slightly bland (I've had it several times) but once you put a bit of hot sauce on it it's great. Portions are also very large and price is very reasonable. They also do a tasty nice chilli beef wrap and salad. They have free water on display, which is a nice touch as most places would rather you buy their drinks all the time. I highly recommend you visit!

When I say family it was the pooch and I, he is my best buddy and a fully fledged family member. In Leith whilst the rest of the family visited the Royal yacht Britannia we chanced upon the Shore Deli looking for dog friendly coffee and cake stop. Coffee was great and the plum and almond cake delishh. They are part of the we love dug scheme, so Denver was welcomed. Turnover in lunchtime trade was brisk with no one waiting more than a couple of minutes, so whilst I didn't have a savoury bite I'm sure the punters ain't wrong. Well worth a visit.

We stopped here for a cup of tea, served in a proper teapot, with proper cups and saucers, even our little dog was made welcome. The food looked so good, but whilst we were sitting inside enjoying our cuppa, there was an endless stream of people coming and ordering food to take away or eat inside.

Coffee very good and the brownies have a really unusual twist - they're salted caramel ones and amazing! We ditched the very popular Mimi's and gave this place preference 😍👍

If you are a Leither, I highly recommend this place! I was feeling a bit naughty today and overindulged a little. I had the Pulled Pork wrap which is generously filled with Red Cabbage Slaw, Jalapeños and Gherkins. Always a winner and a Banana Row fave! I couldn't resist the Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie either, which was staring at me through the glass counter. Oh Boi! It was incredible! 10 outta 10 from this Brownie enthusiast.

Found the shore deli this week and what a find! Delicious hot and strong latte, just the way I like it. Wonderful imaginative salads, soups and sandwiches. I saw a few sandwiches being served and they were huge. Great value for money! I cannot resist their baking though-outstanding!

Stopped off for a breakfast/ brunch. Had a cured bacon sandwich on the most wonderful fresh bread and a latte. The coffee was as fabulous as the sandwich. Was very busy with people popping in for take away lunches but worth the little wait. Friendly staff and great spot for people watching by the water too.

I stumbled upon this place today. It's has a clean light interior. The food was to a high standard gluten free. I was given herb gluten free toasted bread with my breakfast it was very tasty.....I had tea and brownie too delicious....this place is very reasonably priced....and the food I had was very good.

If you are a coffee lover then get to Shore Deli excellent top quality coffee served by Jamie. A real extra treat for me was the huge strawberry(fresh fruit) muffin baked that morning from Evelina.

I started a new job down in Leith about a month ago and came upon this deli one morning and it's definitely my favourite. Great coffee, wonderful cakes (lots of gluten free options) and the salads look fab. The ultimate, though, is their pulled pork wrap with super slaw. Absolutely fantastic - if you have one for lunch, you won't need much for your dinner! Do it, go there, you'll love it. Really nice couple who run the place too.

This restaurant/coffee shop is on the shore in Leith and seems like a hole in the wall. There is a bar with outlets facing the large windows that overlook the water. There are three small tables inside- but having been there most mornings for the past month, they are never full. The people that work here are very nice and accommodating. Their coffee is pretty good; the bacon rolls are as well. The prices are very reasonable compared to the surrounding places.
