Shiraz in Wickersley in Rotherham

Order from Shiraz every week.The food is off the scale and the people working there are utter pro’s who take their job very seriously. Delivery drivers are rapid and all legends. Our sons away at uni and when he’s back all he says is “can we have a Shiraz?” Honestly- there is nowhere 1/2 as good as Shiraz.

food wasn’t the best kebab meat very dry and didn’t taste like kebab meat salad consisted of lettuce and onion the man who served me in the shop very rude short changed me and when i told him raised his voice to me and got funny and slammed his hands on counter saying the change is right had him check it again and it wasn’t right. he then walked off speaking a different language which i found very rude. i will never use this place again totally unacceptable to be like this no customer service at all !!!

Excellent pizzas loads of toppings and a lovely crust,we also had chips and salad which were good too...would definitely return...10 out of 10...

Ordered from these for years. Always been top drawer, never any issues- just beaut pizzas. Tried the new “The Pizza Rooms” at Dinnington which has just opened, was more expensive, and nowhere near as good. In future I will just stick with mighty Shiraz!

Ordered online via just eat, good menu choice The food was great and was very hot, fast delivery staff were helpful, delivery driver polite.would recommend.

Absolutely appauled!! Just ordered a shish kebab from shiraz at Wickersley, the wrap was raw, there were three small pieces of chicken on the wrap, no sauce like I asked and paid extra for and hardly any salad. When I phoned to explain that I was a disappointed on my meal, I was told that this was how it is made and I was wrong and that I should post a fb post if I want to, so I am. Over priced mediocre food and extremely rude customer service. Unbelievable. I'd recommend avoiding, there's much better places to order from.

The pizzas were amazing, loved the chicken in hot sauce and the salad was fresh and beautifully set out. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Called up to order my usual tikka masala mild to find out they are no longer doing Indian food. EXCUSE ME?! i can't believe their cheek. how dare they have audacity to do this? Do they not know that they was the BEST Indian takeaway in the whole of South Yorkshire?! i am absolutely fuming. shiraz, you better sort it out not just for me, but for the people of south yorkshire.

Went to Shiraz today. All good cooked very fresh. All fantastic specially the tikka . I will go back again.

We recently visited Shiraz for an Indian takeaway to celebrate the end of a great family weekend with our 2 boys. My wife ordered a chicken Korma (which was ok) and she ordered me a chicken tikka wrap. This consisted of 6 small pieces of chicken and looked like a childs portion. For over £5 it was extremely poor value and really was a massive disappointment. With other better restaurants/takeaways in the Whiston/Wickersley area we will not be going back anytime soon.

I order from here often, I have had a few small issues but nothing major, the main problem was when they changed their order app on iPhone as I ordered and nothing came so I called them and the order had never gone through on the app, they did then apologise and delivered the food lightning fast. I have ordered: Curries (Madras and chicken curry) Burgers. Chicken tikka meat. Shish Kebab (in Naan, this is my favourite and is spot on every time). I really recommend this place, the food is always excellent. Ordered for big groups as well and food came, hot and the order was correct.

£6 for this!!!disgusting!!!! very tough chicken supposed to be chicken tikka and chips very spicy and very poor quality!!

We have had takeaway from here several times over the years and have had good and bad experiences. The kebab/nan type options are generally very nice and the portions are very generous. The bread is nice and the salads are also of decent quality. We had one terrible experience early this year (2017) when we placed a big order during a party at some friends house. Although we all ordered different dishes, they all looked and tasted fairly similar and furthermore the consistency of them was disappointing watery. However, this hopefully was a one-off occurrence as the Indian takeaway dishes we ordered last weekend were all nice. We have never had any issues with delivery and the food has always arrived piping hot Uninspiringly average but convenient and prompt.

CANT LEAVE 0 STARS OR WE WOULD! Order regularly and varies between great and sometimes a bit spicy, but always fine to eat...this time we ordered a Pathia and it literally tasted as if an entire salt pot had been dropped in the Curry! When we rang to explain this, there was no surprise...which tells us they had made an error and tried to still serve it thinking we wouldn't notice! I cannot explain how inedible it was! When we asked for a refund rather than wait for another to be cooked and delivered, we could hear a negative reaction in the background over the phone. The delivery driver did drop in the refund but said the Manager had said we were not allowed to order anymore!! The poor man looked mortified! We have never heard anything as ridiculous! Their mistake, their inedible food, their horrendous customer service, their willingness to lose business! Looking at some of these reviews you'd think Shiraz would need as much business as possible...think we'll live with the ban and nip back down the road to Bramley!

after over a year i thought i would give it another go, as the last one went direct to bin!!!!! ordered chicken vindaloo. garlic nan. got home to find it even worse than last time!!! vindaloo sauce should be a deep red with a layer of oil on top as i like it.. but no just a thick bland paste.another waste of money!!! binned again... i just dont learn.. dont make my mistake and go order from bramley. spot on......

Ordered a chicken tikka curry, this came! Needless to say had to order from somewhere else. Rang to complain and told that it was because I'd ordered it medium!

We order most weekends from Shiraz, from kebabs and burgers to curries and naan bread Shiraz has got it on point. The food quality is excellent and the waiting time on deliveries is fast (within 45mins... never late!!!)

First time we have used this take a way for many years and we were not disappointed.we ordered 3 meals and all were equally delicious. The quality and freshness reflected in the taste. would definitely recommend Shiraz and will be using it again. THank you Shiraz for an excellent meal.

Always high quality food at very reasonable prices, and delivered with a happy smile. No request is too small or too big.

A most tasteful experience every time when ordering take away food from here. It is cooked to perfection, and tastes can be modified to personal order.

Chef sat on his bum on his phone no acknowledgement kebab and chips and cheese sauce. I got a big lump of lettuce butt in my kebab. And the chips and cheese sauce was cold and lumpy. They just dumped cold cheese sauce mix on chips and charged me £8.50 for my trouble . This is not worth the visit it's gone way down hill and a disgrace now ( see pic for chips and cheese sauce )

Curry Tasted awful, all of the food was cold and soggy. Avoid ! Not the usual standard expected. Very disappointed. Additionally the chicken in the curry was over cooked and chewy. Not nice

I started using this takeaway about 6 months ago and have probably used it 10 times. I have only had one below par meal which was a bland chicken tikka bhuna, a dish I now avoid. All others without exception have been great. I collect and it is always ready as promised on the phone (usually 20mins)Breads and sundries are great. Food is as good as the two local restaurants, which are pretty good. I will continue to use this place.Staff are friendly and the place appears clean and well run. I would recommend this to anyone on the east side of Rotherham.

Our estimated time of delivery was 5.55 but the good arrived at 5.15. Everything was hit and tasted fresh. Excellent value for money!

NOT WORTH A STAR!! DISGUSTED AT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE!Rang the restaurant on Saturday night at 9am to place an order for a group of friends. Was told it would take about an hour for delivery which was fine. 1 hour and half later we rang to find out where our order was, we confirmed address and postcode and the guy told us it was on the way and would be with us shortly. A further 30 minutes (2 hours since we ordered) we rang again to be told the mobile number we gave them was wrong as they tried to contact us. We argued about why we was told the order had left the restaurant and told it was on its way. I don't understand why they needed to ring when we clearly gave an address and we was waiting for a knock on the door. The man was very rude on the phone was shouting and raising his voice and put the phone down on us. We rang back and politely asked to speak to someone else about the order and why there was a mistake. He again hung up on us. When I put the order through on the phone the guy didn't speak very good English and I had to repeat myself several times which at the time was ok but felt like we wasn't getting anywhere. I gave him the address and postcode 5 times repeatedly. When I asked him to go through the order to confirm he had correctly wrote it all down he passed the phone onto a female who read out my order and confirmed address and postcode. Terrible customer service skills, no apology and was given false information about the order. Definetly will not use again.

Food very nice it is just unfortunate that the owner is extremely rude. I placed an order for delivery and there was something missing so when I rang the owner came on the phone and started shouting at me about how busy he was.. My advice would be that he allows his staff to do their jobs politely- and he stays in the kitchen out of the way..

First time trying even though it's local , ordered through the just eat as my son wanted a doner ( Urghhhhh ) kebab and it came up first on Google .So had a doner and chips and chicken masala with 2 chapatti .My son says the doner was really good and he ate the lot .. Looked ok not greasy at all .My curry was nice bit lacking in flavour ( I think it's geared towards English taste ) and the chapatti was nice .Chips were proper kebab shop ones ( very greasy ) but I like them .Not bad at all for the price and delivered quickly . Will use again as they have various dishes to suit different tastes so handy if there's a few of you and you don't all want Indian , kebabs , etc .

So... Ordered our favourites..came within 20 mins? We went to dish up and eat a little later..on opening the lids the chicken saag was black! The oil on top also black! It tasted very burnt and strange, the Lamb Balti also not great, very vinegar/ sour tasting. So I called back to ask for replacements only to be told...That's how saag looks and tastes!! They were too busy to do anything about it! So after about ten minutes of trying to explain we had eaten there before and it had NEVER looked or tasted like this before I am told....NO REPLACEMENT, NO MONEY BACK AND THE MANAGER/chef did not take phone calls! This is absolutely disgusting behaviour when I only asked for what I had paid for. RUDE, WELL BELOW STANDARD FOOD, PIG IGNORANT MANAGER AND SO NOT INTERESTED IN WAHT THEIR CUSTOMERS THINK!

Naan not upto the standard of its neighbours, but the food is equally delicious.Pleasant atmosphere and surroundings. Decent service.

too busy to take an order from a regular customer?? what's that all about? obviously dont want repeat business! will be finding an alternative straight away.

Never before has this happend to me, I rang the take away to place an order for delivery and the guy on the end of the phone took my post code, He then told me that they could not fulfill my order as they were that busy.Now this was far from a problem, infact WELL done Shiraz for not taking the order and turning up 3 hrs later if at all, I was a little disapointed as the food here is always first class!!!!

We popped in here on the off-chance on our way home, as we didn't fancy any of the local takeaways.Good tasty food, excellent value and the world's biggest naan bread cooked in front of you (definitely need to share). The chap serving was very friendly and helpful and overall the food was good value.Unfortunately, we live too far away for deliveries, or we'd be regular customers, but we'll definitely go in again if we're passing.

Had a takeaway last night and the food was as good as any restaurant. It was ready within 20 minutes and all piping hot and very tasty. The food was plentiful and very good value,the garlic nan was the best ever and the size of a dustbin lid. We will definitely use again.

We've tried loads of Indian takeaways but always go back to Shiraz, good price and always fresh just would like more garlic on naan bread. Always on time too

....... as the chargrill just makes this place.I have used the Shiraz a few times before and I wasn't that impressed with the kebabs they did.SO HAPPY TO SAY.....................now they have a proper chargrill and it makes one of the best mixed kebabs I have eaten in ages. Its a bit pricey at £7.70 but its well worth it as its a generous portion that left me feeling "I got what I paid for."A well deserved 5 star review.

Been here twice now the food is excellent. Never noticed it before for some reason. My husband says the last curry he had was the best he had had for years . Not swimming in oil. The mushroom rice was very good .

We usually collect. The service is great and the food is more than acceptable for the price.The garlic breads are a good size so are good for sharing between two.

Food is always cooked fresh and to your liking. You can see the food being prepared in their kitchen. The staff are great when ordering over the phone and delivery is always on time (often earlier than quoted) and piping hot.

Easily the best takeaway in wickersley lovely curry and a huge nan the family was stuffed, even the chips were great :) we will definatly return !

Just had our usual curry from The Shiraz and as always spoke to a lovely young lady on telephone. Wonderful friendly service from and the food was excellant cannot fault food or service.

We really enjoy the Variety and Choice of Strength of the Curry's from this Takeaway. We like a medium strength curry (the Malaya is delicious and the Lamb Tikka Massala is just as good) but mum likes it mild so it was great we could advise her of the type of curry she might like but get it in a mild strength for her taste. The shop staff are always friendly when you call to order and the delivery service has always been great with kind, friendly staff. They don't skimp on the portions either always loads more than 2 or 3 people can possibly eat.

Must be the worst meal I have had. Got it home tasted it followed by drop into bin. If you want a good indian go down bramley spot on!!!!!!!!

Just received food all cold when rang not helpful at all, all gone in bin asked for money back and wouldn't even replace food or refund. Looked liked it had been cooked for hours

We quite often get our 'curry' from Shiraz. Very friendly, competitive price, no complaints and fast. Could do with the waiting area sprucing up but only a small point !
