Liked the place... Unfortunately the karhahi I really wanted was only available in a meal for 2 quantity ... So settled for the lamb burger which was good. The service was good - perhaps as I was the only one dining but it did feel like the joint is geared towards take away orders. Feedback: Tomato ketchup felt low quality and watered down. Menu cards need through cleaning and airing🙃. Good luck!

Good little, informal takeaway/restaurant. All food cooked fresh to order. Delicious fish pakora starter offered with 3 sauces, homemade raita with leaf mint and coriander, chilli sauce and a garlic mayo. Boneless lamb achari main with 4 just made rotis was well worth the wait. Served with free jug of water, ordered cardamom tea for after that was great to finish off came with pot to top up. 2 x fish pakora, 1/2 kilo lamb achari, 4 rotis and 2 teas was about £33. Generous portions of good food with friendly staff persuade a second visit to try more food in this place that has more of a domestic feel than the commercial alternatives on Normanton Road.

Food average. Served on a cold plate as usual. If you need to claim the cost of your breakfast back from the tax man forget it as the concept of providing a receipt is beyond the proprietor. They can't provide a card machine receipt for some reason. They do have an old fashioned receipt book they can write out but without a letterhead stating the cafe name and address on the receipt or a rubber stamp it becomes a meaningless piece of paper that your accountant or the Inland Revenue will ignore. Stick to the Wayfarer cafe on Osmaston Road.

We had an incredible experience at this authentic restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Each dish was carefully prepared, capturing the essence of Syrian cuisine. The service was impressive, attentive, and friendly. The interior decor was beautifully done. We enjoyed every moment here and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience genuine Syrian hospitality and flavors ♥️♥️♥️
