I love this restaurant it was so good and tasted I recommend to everyone to eat only here the is the best restaurant there is in the planet perfect texture tase flavour PERFECT EVERYTHING!!!!🎉🎉🥳

This was the worst food experience I have had in a long time! Cold, soggy food! The masala fish donner was smelly, the fish was a single fillet, not worth the price. The chicken donner was cubes of chicken not a donner. The seekh donner was the only edible food that was slightly decent! I am very disappointed with the food and then when I have tried to call to complain, no one picked up so the service lousey! I will not be ordering again!

Ordered takeaway last night for 2 adults 1 child £55 .. heard good reviews but sadly did NOT live up to the reviews... Dreadful... I only ate 2 of the shared lamb chops my curry was dreadful and the chapati's weren't nice at all and threw it, my son didn't eat the kids meal , the other curry eaten made her sit on the toilet most of the night as it went through her like a Porsche.

Very clean place. And very friendly service by Bustaan. I ordered seekh kebab (chicken and lamb), meat samosa, and lamb karahi with roti. Everything was really really tasty, with good quality meat used. The samosa in particular were superb. Good place to come to. Good value for money too.

I popped in to Shimla’s last week for a chicken Donner on their naan . Got home and there was hardly any chicken in the naan . I phoned up and spoke to a young man’s who apologised and said they were all portion controlled . I explained there was hardly anything on my naan so he took my name and said when. I next popped in they would give me some extra chicken to make it up . I’ve just popped in today and explained to the young man behind the counter who looked and said nobody has made any complaints as far as I’m aware . And all their chicken is portion controlled So he’s basically called me a liar . I just thought to myself I’m not going to lower myself over a few chicken pieces and so I walked out . He tried to call me back and by that point the red mist had descended. So I just left . The people who own Shimla’s need to remember one thing . When you were a lowly little shop in Bradford , it was people like myself who came and purchased your food for years back in those days there were no portion controls unlike you have today . It’s just ridiculous I’m being called a liar by your staff . It’s true whet they say when your business is doing well that’s when the arrogance steps in . Such a shame , I won’t ever spend a penny in this place again . The customer service I received today was poor . You’ve lost a customer who has purchased for from Bradford and Halifax for many years .

The dynamite chicken and stir fry chicken doner is absolutely delicious, the chef mr Imran is a gem, very pleasant and humble guy , he will bend over backwards to accommodate your food requirements, A true asset to the business, the waiter was also very polite and attentive. Will definitely come again.

**Review:** Came in tonight with friends, expecting a nice evening, but what we experienced was beyond disappointing—it was downright appalling. From the moment we walked in, a foul stench from the toilets filled the air. The bathroom doors were left wide open as the staff kept going in and out, letting the stench waft through the restaurant. We politely asked them to close the doors, hoping to make the place bearable, but it felt like no one cared. When our food finally arrived, things somehow got worse. My friend ordered a lamb curry, expecting a proper meal. Instead, he was served a bowl that was half-filled with nothing but bones. He tried to eat what little was edible, but understandably left most of it untouched. Before leaving, he decided to share this feedback with the staff—after all, we were paying good money for this. But when he brought it up, the staff just stared at him blankly. Not a single word. No apology, no acknowledgment. Just cold, dismissive silence. My friend was so disgusted he walked out. I stayed back to try to get at least some kind of response, hoping they’d recognize their mistake. I asked them, "How can you not even apologize to a customer when you clearly know you've done something wrong?" To my shock, they told me it was their *first complaint*, and they simply "didn't know what to say." How is it possible for a business to be so clueless about basic customer service? They admitted, without hesitation, that the dish should never have been half bones. But even with this admission, they still refused to apologize, let alone offer any kind of compensation. At this point, their behavior bordered on rude and utterly oblivious. Another customer nearby looked on in disgust at the sheer lack of professionalism and basic decency. This place not only has serious hygiene issues, but also seems incapable of treating people with even a shred of respect. We’ll never be coming back here, and I’d warn anyone else to think twice before stepping foot in this establishment.

I came in with family and got the stir fry chicken donor and chips. It was stale the chicken sauce was so bad it wasn’t even edible. I have had it before and it was very (see photo on right) but when I most recently went down it was so bad that even my kids refused to touch it (see photo on the left) I tried messaging Shimlas Halifax on instagram so many times but they don’t accept you invite, probably because they’re scared to reply to customers!! Shocking food and service!! Edit. The management replied and offered me the whole meal again on the house. I went today and the food was really nice, fresh and delicious. Service was great overall. Will definitely be going again.

Dynamite chicken and dynamite prawn dishes were tantalisingly delicious tonight. The chef, Imran, was extremely attentive and even came out to ask if the food was okay!

Just buy my food from here , such an amazing atmosphere and the food is pretty good. Moreover, the front man who takes order to the customer is really very well trained God bless him . From my side I will rate it 5 out of 5 and recommend you all this amazing and clean restaurant.

Paid £7.99 for a fish masala. This is what I got. Staff told me that's the standard size of portion. So will not be using them again. If that the standards sadly.

Ordered praws and is soooo spicy that can’t eat it they same on the food that I should wrote something on the instructions but I ordered it through uber eats and it was no options saying if I wanted it spicy or no. Spent £11 on this I can’t even eat joke!!!!

Ordered on the phone for collection, got home and was missing chips. When I rang back they did not offer to drop the missed item off and I had to go back to collect. They offered 2 drinks for free for the inconvenience and would not offer anything more substantial after wasting my time and money. Real shame, food is generally quite nice but is pricey and have to say the Bradford branch food is better.

Usually the food is good but today unfortunately the salad was rotten. Just look at the picture. How is this acceptable to put on someone's food? Been a regular customer here but I feel like the standards are slipping slowly. Luckily I asked for sauces separate so I was able to scrape off the salad but imagine if I got it all mixed in. Disgusting.

I have ordered today as takeaway from shimlas and requested to be served hot and fresh …they have not only followed the instructions also called me back to inform that my food is ready….absolutely thank you to Rohaan who provided great customer service ..absolutely will recommend shimlas Halifax.

Today I came to eat at shimlas halifax, the food was absolutely amazing like always. We got the Don box and we got chicken Donner with chips. The portions were spot on. We were served by Malik Uzair. He was really helpful and his customer service was brilliant. He made sure we had a good experience at shimla halifax. Would definitely be back.

I've been a loyal customer of Shimlas for a while now, and their dedication to organic products is truly commendable. The variety they offer is impressive, and I appreciate that I can trust the source of my groceries. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is occasionally the prices can be a bit steep. But the freshness and quality definitely make it worth it.
