Shikaku Asian Fusion in Carmarthenshire

Tried here recently and the food was impeccable was absolutely lovely and full of flavor and great service and good decor

We arrived having high expectations. These were exceeded. We recommend the halloumi tapas and the cucumber salad, in fact, it was all delicious! We received a warm and friendly welcome and attentive service. Will definitely return. Highly recommend you give this place a try.

We had the Valentines sharing platter. Absolutely delicious. So many lovely dishes from meets, noodles, steak, prawns, chicken. Will definitely return. The staff were welcoming, friendly attentive to our needs. The chef came to ask for feedback on the lovely food. It was such a warm welcoming environment with lovely music and staff smiling.

A fantastic lunch with superb sharing platters, including Vegan and Vegetarian platters, great service, friendly staff and excellent value. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend Shikaku to anyone who enjoys Asian Fusion food. If you have never tried this restaurant, and many of us hadn’t, then book now and be prepared for great food that’s full of flavour.

Went for bottomless brunch, fantastic choices on menu for both food and drinks. Food was all delicious, perfectly balanced and varied, would order every dish again. Drinks tasty and refreshing, extensive menu- was difficult to pick. Very attentive service but not intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Came along for a 40th birthday meal. There was a big group of us (22) but this didn’t affect anything. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic. Thank you. Will come again for sure!

Rustic, Nostalgic and symphony in mouth. Absolutely superb authentic culinary experience. We tried a variety of dishes and each had a unique taste. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Visited today for the new Sunday lunch set menu and was not disappointed. Great cocktail selection included in the menu and the food was amazing. Excellent value for money, highly recommend and will be returning!

Fantastic addition to the Carmarthen culinary scene. The menu is superb and very reasonably priced. Go for the chicken wings. Unreal. Lovely wine list too.

The best vegetarian meal I've ever had in Carmarthenshire....not one morsel disappointed.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal tonight. I let the chef know I was Gluten Free in advance and he made me a special plate of Singapore noodles (rice noodles) just for me. Food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return.

Lovely evening meal on the spur of the moment after trying a few times to book this well attended jewel. Staff were lovely and welcoming from the off with good guidance on dishes to make sure we wouldn't be hungry. Food was top notch and well priced and would definitely recommend to anyone who likes what they eat. No photos, too busy eating and chatting and drinking and chatting and tagging new cocktails and chatting. 11 out of 10, give Shikaku a try!

I have visited this place on numerous occasions and have had a fantastic time on each visit. Brilliant food, nowhere else like it in Carmarthen - right in the centre and offer a wide range of good wine and beer. Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and a must visit in my opinion!

It was a really lovely evening, I can't fault the food. The owner was really attentive and really looked after us with the meal to make sure we had a good time. I would recommend Shikaku for anyone looking for a good night out.

Incredible amazing asian fusion and this is in Carmarthen. The team have smashed it with this place and everyone is catered for with delicious food on the menu. Will be going back again soon.

Ate here last night, group of 10. What a fantastic night. Food is amazing, best meal I've had in Carmarthen. 2 of our group were vegetarian and they did them a platter each. Staff attentive but not intrusive especially the young man behind the bar. Thanks for a memorable evening.

Stopped by at Carmarthen for lunch as we were driving back home from our holiday. After reading what was on offer in the town, we thought to try this place. Ordered two set menus and the food was lovely. The owner was very hospitable and even told us the traffic (where we needed to go) could be horrendous at the afternoon. Service and food absolutely top drawer. Owner Ben, welcomed diolch bois me and served up a delicious medley of Peking Duck, sticky bee with fresh warm bao buns and chilli noodles - washed down with cold Asahi. Great ambience, very relaxed and good music in the background. I’ve lived all over Asia/China, and what I had tonight was as good as I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommended - I’ll be back next time I’m in South Wales..dioloch bois. James

Visited on Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed. The food was excellent , the staff friendly and professional. Will certainly return .

We were on a table for two, when u each choose 3 or 4 of the small plates, all of which were good, some of which were simply devine, the table is just too small, added to that are your drinks and it's just too cramped to be able to enjoy the experience fully. If u were on one of the larger tables, get at least 4 small plates each...maybe a sneaky 5th plate and enjoy the variety of the experience
