Delicious food. Always consistently good. Service was attentive but not intrusive.

As soon as you're through the door, the enduring magic of this fabulous restaurant becomes apparent. Been going for more years than I care to remember and never had a bad meal here.

My father was the third customer ever when this place opened in 2002, and we’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Deeply embarrassed to say this is our first review, but truly this joint never fails to disappoint - top service, the team always go above and beyond, and they serve up spices and flavours we don’t find anywhere else.

Amazing dishes were served to us. We had lamb, chicken, and veg, which are all delicious. We paired these with egg fried rice and garlic and sweet chapati. But what stood out kost for me was ther nepalese tea that was creamy and made special by different spices.

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Sherpa Kitchen, where Head Chef Abinash truly showcased his culinary expertise. Incredible food, amazing service, wow what a great place! We will definitely be returning here. Only downside is the restaurant echos quite a lot, so if it’s busy it’s a bit difficult to hear each other. We still had a great time though 😊

If you’ve never had Nepalese before, you need to. This place is the go to. Sherpa kitchen always needs to be a staple to the local community in Esher forever.

Swimming against the tide of reviews here. Forth time at the Sherpa and struggle to see why the good folk of Esher pack it out. The staff are friendly and prompt, table layout is classy. Food is so average. Very small portions and very little taste. Sauces watery and bland. Sizzling chicken with four pieces of chicken, left the kitchen hot and spice less. A premium prawn dish with four prawns and a tinned chicken soup of a sauce. Three vegetable dishes that were a throw backs to school dinners, small, watery and over cooked. The place is packed, hence very noisy. My first meal here was very good, so something has changed for the worse. As I said the staff are nice.

First, but not the last time we will visit. Very fresh, tasty and wide selection of food, met with great service.

I had a lovely chicken dish, which was very tasty. The waiter was happy to provide me with extra spice so I could add some kick to my taste. Portion sizes are quite small but taste certainly made up for that and, together with some tasty garlic naan bread, turned out to be the right size after all. It was great to hear that all the staff in the restaurant originates from Nepal, they certainly provide a great dining option to Esher.

We were a group of 8 people. We all ordered different things. Vegetarian for myself. Meat for everyone else. All of us really enjoyed the food. Absolutely delicious. Also excellent service. Would definitely eat here again. Many thanks.

It had been a very long time since I’d been here as my first visit hadn’t been inspiring. What a change! Fantastic staff welcoming and despite being rushed off their feet, attentive, professional and always smiling. Service was great and the food fresh and exciting and very tasty. Definitely worth a repeat visit!!

Very enjoyable meal, main dishes were very tasty. We went for the double spice and definitely had a kick. Portion sizes quite small but taste made up for that. Staff were good given how busy they were.

Excellent food and service. A long running restaurant with great Nepalese dishes. It does get busy towards the weekend so worth booking a take to make sure there is space.

Delicious food - poppadoms, chutneys, curries. Nothing really available for dessert except ice cream which was an extortionate £8

Ordered delivery, so maybe eating in would be a better experience. The menu sounded appealing but the majority of the food was disappointing in flavour and quantity. The potato had a texture like it had been reheated.

ReAlly tasty meal, our first time having Nepalese food, so we left it to the owner to choose our meal. The staff were very welcoming and super clean environment, with lovely little touches around the restaurant. Even the papadum sauces were super fresh tasting and different to the normal had it been an Indian. The food was so flavoursome and the lamb aromatic even the sauce on the chicken was tasty and light. The prawns in the starter were so meaty and yummy and who would think to put a mint sauce with prawns 🤷‍♂️. Highly recommend.

First time trying Sherpa on Saturday evening. Staff were helpful and attentive and the food was great. Nice to try something different for a change. Thought it was very well priced, which is becoming rare in the Esher / Cobham area. Fair to say, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Went twice First time, they took our order and 20 minutes later they told us that they didn’t have one of the dishes... Second time, order on the phone, been told it would be 25 minutes. It took hour and 40 minutes to be ready. It was cold Awful service, not worth it Too expensive

A hidden gem of a restaurant. Small, unpromising shop front opens up to a much wider space with a mezzanine level. Good Nepalese food with Nepalese waiters and friendly service. Harry Redknapp frequents when attending the racing at Sandown.

Lovely ambience. Walk in from what looks like a small shop front, into a light & airy, split level restaurant. It took me by surprise...lovely! Staff are all so very friendly & helpful.....& Then there's the food! Some of the loveliest flavours I've experienced. This is definitely a new favourite restaurant for us; & we've been to a few! I was recommended the Sherpa kitchen by a friend, I now see why. The staff are so caring and lovely, the food is absolutely stunning and the potions are large. Food nof containing gluten is listed on the menu so if you care avoiding gluten this is a great place to go. I will be coming again soon.

Fabulous food, attentive service, warm ambience and decor. The Sherpa Kitchen has the friendliest reception in Esher. New Craft beer, Kuwa, is definitely worth a try! If you want to be sure of a table, early in the week is recommended as Fridays and Saturdays are often solidly booked. You won't be disappointed.

We had a terrible meal. Not a single dish from starters through mains made me think there was a competent person in the kitchen. Against all positive signs such as online reviews and the look and feel of the place, it was a real disappointment. Chicken and salmon from the clay oven was so overcooked and dry, it genuinely had the appearance and rubbery texture of something overcooked in the microwave. I gave the waiter feedback on how dry the meats were and showed him the texture in my plate but he just shrugged it off and said this is how they cook their meat. I feel cheated and I hope this is something that they will pay attention to as the restaurant and menu has real potential and we would love to have been able to add it to our list of local favourites.

It's always a pleasure to return to this lovely restaurant. It looks so small looking from outside, but once in, there is plenty of space as this goes on 3 levels. Downstairs bar and clean, flowery smelling toilets, sitting on the 1 st and 2nd floors. Tasty food and good deals, totally recommend the 'Sunday special' ( that's what we went for this time .
