I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sheesh in Chigwell, and I have to say, it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was absolutely stunning. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a luxurious yet welcoming vibe that instantly sets the tone for a special night out. The food was nothing short of incredible. We ordered a variety of Turkish dishes, each one bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The meats were tender and juicy, the mezes were fresh and flavorful, and every dish looked just as good as it tasted. It’s clear that Sheesh takes great pride in the quality and presentation of their food. What really made the evening stand out, though, were the extra touches. There was live music playing throughout the night, creating a lively and sophisticated atmosphere without being too overpowering. To top it off, we were entertained by incredibly talented magicians who performed close-up tricks at our table. It added such a fun and unique twist to the dining experience—it felt like more than just dinner, it was an event. The service was also exceptional. Staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. I highly recommend Sheesh to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience.

Sheesh Chigwell was fantastic from start to finish. The only thing that stands out as an issue is the upstairs bar area having no air conditioning. It’s a sweaty dance floor!

Beautiful and posh place! Really nice atmosphere! Warmly greated at the entrance and the service was top notched! The starters were absolutely delicious! The mains so so not really to my taste! The desserts were so yummy

Nice, but very over priced for what it is, not sure what all the fuss is about..... won't be going back. I guess you are paying for the location, it can't be cheep to have a restaurant that big in the centre of London.

Love this place. Kids loved it and so did my wife and sister in law. Cocktails are really good and the atmosphere was just amazing.

They were soo lovely and welcoming from the start. Very hospitable and charming. The sheesh kofte and everything on the platter was divine, so was the bread and the chips! We were celebrating my mums birthday which I had put in the notes and they surprised her with a dessert, a sparkler and candles. So sweet! They couldn’t have been better.

Food was delicious and huge portions! Staff were extra attentive and lovely. The most outstanding thing I think is how beautiful the restaurant is.. The only downside would be that the seating positions are not comforting or private enough? Not sure if I described it well. We had a lovely experience and definitely will be back!

Pretty exterior and interior design. Great for aesthetic and videos/pictures The atmosphere just wasn’t as good as other vibrant restaurants I have been too. especially given it was 5/6 on a Friday (Valentines Day) Food was not great - kofte sheesh special was really good I have to say but the truffle fries truffle burger and anything with truffle in the food absolutely smells of seaweed (no polite way to put it unfortunately). £55 for a burger that smells dodgy isn’t great. £26 for a portion of truffle fries that also smells dodgy isn’t good. Definitely a hype and nothing more. I won’t be going back nor would I recommend unfortunately and this has been on my to go list for a while now.

Amazing experience. The service was amazing. Food was stunning. Perfectly cooked meats. Lovely vibe. The only slight negative was that the place is quite dark so it’s hard to read the menus as they are black. But that might just where we were sitting. Other areas might be brighter. If you want a quieter experience then ask to be seated downstairs. The upstairs part is more lively with the Dj.

My son recommended this great find. The service and the food are faultless, Particularly enjoyed the truffle Chips! We will definitely go back next time we are in London.

First visit to the restaurant and the decoration is nice although a little dark for eating. Where we were set was very cool and we needed to keep our coats on, we raised this to the waiter who seemed to take our concerns, however the temperature did not improve. We had the business lunch, and this is something we have had multiple times in various restaurants in the UK and Dubai, however we thought the menu should have had better appetisers and it was a salad which was then repeated on our main course. The donuts and ice cream for desert was nice as was the Chicken Sheesh we both had. We were also given a small amount of bread with the starter which was the smallest portion I have ever had in a Turkish restaurant and as for the £30 price didn’t find the meal value for money compared to the near half the price we pay in lots of other restaurants. I understand that you consider the restaurant as a high end establishment, however I have been in much better fore half the cost. I don’t think on this visit I could possibly recommend the business lunch to any friends or family, which is a shame as I thought we would have been knocked out by the experience which neither of us was.

They took the food away while I was eating and then kicked my brother out of the restaurant when he was waiting for me at the door (I was in the bathroom for a minute)

I love sheesh!!! This was my second time visiting, and both times for my birthday. Their lamb shish is to die for, so tender and delicious. The staff are really helpful and I was extremely grateful as our waitress went above and beyond to help with my gluten free diet. I’m a coeliac and I informed her of my dietary requirements, when ordering I accidentally had ordered rice as a side which contained gluten, just I was about to eat the rice she saw me and ran over to stop me, she double checked the ingredients and confirmed it contained gluten! I appreciated her noticing and saving me from being unwell. We visited on a Sunday not realising that they actually had a set menu and a magician on the night, which was so entertaining. The magician is great :) The set menu had so many options, came with lots of starters and was really affordable. Thanks Sheesh for a wonderful night

Went here for my birthday and as soon as I got home I was sick around 5-6 times from what I can only imagine the food as it came out 5 minutes after we had ordered. Called the restaurant the day after going and the manager was rude and abrupt when I had explained that after the visit I wasn’t well I asked her to explain the process of the food being made she explained that the food is charcoaled for 12 minutes after the order had been taken but it came out after 5 which I believe the food wasn’t cooked properly. I still feel unwell a couple of days later and am so dissapointed with this service and lack of respect.

Rude staff especially the manager and food made my friend sick after Phoned the next day after to pre warn them about the sickness from food incase of anyone else being sick from the food that came out within 5 minutes of ordering the night before . Manager responded arrogantly and aggressively and cut up the phone accused me of lying

I came to celebrate my parents 30th wedding anniversary along with my family and I’ve got to say I was completely appalled by the service. Besides the food being great which have never failed to amaze me, there were a few things which really upset and disappointed me. Firstly, we were given a baby high chair which didn’t have a buckle to hold my niece in which is a safety hazard. Secondly, after a mishap of getting one drink wrong and reordered which was a lychee mocktail and as I spoke to the waiter and emphasised on the mocktail (as we are a Muslim family and do not drink alcohol) he came back with a lychee cocktail, it wasn’t until my brother drank the drink and realised something was wrong so when I called the waiter and got it changed he apologised and said there was probably a miscommunication with the bartender. Which I found bizarre because they compromised my brothers faith in giving him an alcoholic drink after specifically specifying and emphasising on the non alcohol. We had kids at the table too, so imagine if they had drank the drink first, what would’ve happened then. However, when it came to pay for the bill, I spoke to the head waiter who was serving us that night and asked if he could do anything for the mistake of the drink that was made, his response to me was ‘there was a miscommunication between the waiter and bartender, what do you want me to do about it’ I asked to speak to a manager and he said ‘No, I’m the head waiter you speak to me’ I explained that it was his parties fault and it was upsetting since we are a Muslim family, with females who wear headscarves who do not drink, he stubbornly again asked me ‘what do you want me to do about it, I replied ‘what can you do about it?’ He then replied back with the same thing ‘what do you want me to do about it?’ Which I found rude and obnoxious , so I said to him I didn’t want to pay for the drink. He sighed heavily and said ‘fine I’ll take it off’ walked away and came back with a new bill. As we were a big party of 12, to ‘make up’ for that mistake they gave us a complimentary dessert, when already we had 4 desserts due to the party menu. I was not happy about that as we never asked for an extra dessert or something complimentary. I spent around £600 at this restaurant and the attitude I got from the head waiter was horrible. My family were very upset about this, my brother didn’t feel good after the drink mishap that he couldn’t drive home as he was feeling dizzy and sickly. It’s sad that the waiter didn’t want to do anything about this until I told him to take off the drink of my bill. I’m sure more could’ve been done but this was the result. I will not be returning back to this restaurant as I am appalled on how they handled this situation.

Horrible experience. Was constantly hounded by 2 separate waitress/ waiters to order within mins of sitting at our table. Waitress was not pleasant at all. She didn’t even look like she wanted to be there. Menu was so limited and insanely overpriced for simple Turkish food. No atmosphere and no one apart from the door men were friendly. I was expecting much better for its reputation but was massively disappointed. Very unlikely I will go again.

Food was rubbish, table was booked at 9pm didn’t get seated at table until 10pm. They gave us 2 deserts on the house which they got to choose 1 of them containing nuts which most of us didn’t eat. Also once we finally got seated our waiter told us the kitchen closed in 20 minutes which was outrageous. For an expensive restaurant and hold the name it does I was appalled by my experience, first and last time I will ever be going to this restaurant!

We came for my partner’s 60th birthday yesterday and we had a lovely time! The food was delicious and service was excellent! Lola, the waiter, took great care of us. He was extremely professional and friendly! We had a lovely time.

Great food and great atmosphere, however, everything here is very overpriced. The toilets were so disgusting that we made a complaint.

Overall a good experience, the only reason for not giving a 5⭐️ was the dessert. We ordered the doughnuts and they are normally the best thing on the menu but they come out all hard and dry. To be fair the waiter removed them from our bill but it was a shame as they are normally well worth the wait.

Would not recommend. The crazy prices do not match the quality of food. The best thing is the decor but I’m not eating the décor unfortunately. I was expecting so much more, wouldn’t go there again. I don’t know why this place is hyped up so much. The food is so bland and they give so much bland salad as well. Really disappointed after spending £207 between two people.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Essex and one of the best in the UK. The decor is amazing, especially in the large dining hall, and there is nothing better than enjoying lunch on the terrace on warm days. The staff can't do enough to help and are amazing. A 10 of 10 and can't wait for my next visit.

Good food for my husbands 40th ,but we did feel pushed out as our 2 hour table overrun. Considering we traveled from wales to visit and wasn’t informed we only had 2 hour limit it was disappointing . When I then ordered a Bacardi and cranberry juice at the bar they charged £15 I gave £20 then was told we don’t hold change so they kept the £20 I Ordered side of rice it was cold and not replaced!

Visited Sheesh for the first time yesterday. The food and service was amazing. My critique would be the toilets. Super loos just don’t work. Men leave the toilets in a bad way, ie wee all over the seat! The toilets are also so dark you literally cannot see a thing, ie for the ladies to do their make up. Also we understood there was dancing on Saturday night. There was a DJ and the music was good but no where to dance. We thought the tables might be moved aside once the people sat in front of the DJ had finished eating but this wasn’t the case which was a shame. Otherwise it’s great just for food but music is very loud upstairs so you can’t really talk if you’re there for conversation.

Wasnt asked if we had any allergies. We then informed that there was a nut allergy on the table. Specifically said no pistachio on the donuts. Then we were brough pistachio on the donuts so had to send back. Also had to ask 3 times for a glass of water.

I went on a Thursday night with girlfriends for a birthday - it was freezing cold in the restaurant - the main restaurant was closed (you should let people know on the website prior to booking and taking a deposit which part of the restaurant is open on what days). We asked if the fireplace could be turned on to be told - straight no. There was a child in the restaurant whereas I was told no kids policy. I would have brought my child. I ordered a cocktail to be given a McDonald’s type straw. Correct me if I’m wrong / if you go to a place which is known to be PREMIUM FOOD, DRINKS & DINING & you go glammed up - you would expect the same standard of service as London. Nothing more off putting than trying to drink a Negroni with a McDonald’s straw ! I did say I’d bring my own if I’d known…. Food was ok … lacks serious atmosphere…. No fireplace on to create that warm cosy feeling it used to have & it was always buzzing & exciting place to be. Think the bubble has burst there …. Sorry but WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

I booked Sheesh for my husband’s birthday with family. From the point of arrival we were in total awe with the decor, anaesthetic layout, dim lights & atmosphere, positive & warm vibes with some lovely calming ambient music. Every corner of the room had its own unique look & decor, which went like a treat especially when appreciating the finer details. Our garçon (waiter) was Loli, & he was a fabulous host to our evening. He was efficient, attentive & patient. He had a wonderful cheerful charisma & was personable, which was a beautiful touch to his demeanour. Loli provided great food and drink recommendations & this helped, especially when one can be indecisive what to choose from the food options. The food was amazing & the portion size was also great. We throughly enjoyed our dinning experience with the ‘party menu options’. This includes the ‘birthday surprise desert’ option which went well as a treat for my better half. We also had the opportunity to meet the magnificent Julian the magician, who was fantastic. We were drawn towards his hidden talent & he bought the inner child like personality out of me & my family. We would like to say a massive thank you to Loli & the team, who went far and beyond to make our evening extra special - especially for my husbands birthday celebration. My husband loved every moment which was always the goal. A 10/10 service to Loli and the team. 👏🏽 My only recommendations is to add vegan options to the menu. Thank you team from Sheesh for the wonderful experience. See you again for another occasion & in the summer months.

First visit to Sheesh Mayfair, food was nice, service was ok, difficulty with the waiter understanding my food restrictions. No real atmosphere at all at lunch time although evenings seem to be fantastic. Lighting was far too dim, could not even see the drinks menu clearly as it was a dull grey November day outside so no lighting didn't help

I enjoyed the food and the building looked very nice, however The drinks were very expensive and the food was double the price of most Turkish restaurants. One of the most expensive restaurants in Essex I’m guessing which left a sour taste in my mouth, for that reason i won’t be visiting again or recommending to anybody else It had nice decor, but far too dark inside and overpowering music, it was very hard to make conversation with somebody sitting next to you.

Unfortunately due to a wedding being cancelled I I wasn’t able to make my booking. I rang to even request a refund or to change. The lady said I wouldn’t be able to get a refund(which I understand as booking policy) however I asked if I could change the date to next June as I would be down that way (I’m at from up north so wouldn’t be down that way until next summer) I was told no and there nothing she could do. I was disappointed as I had another date I could come but because it was out of the 6month I now loose my money. Not willing to help not the best customer service it came across greedy from a buisness that already does exceptionally well.

Great atmosphere here though it would be nice to have a quieter area to go after you've eaten to unwind a little. The seating area wasn't comfortable at all especially as you cannot move the chair closer to the table near the bar so you're awkwardly seated. Food was absolutely incredible! The meat was flavourved to perfection and so so tender. Salad was great, bread and sides were lovely too. Only thing I'd criticise is the dips, they could do with some improvement. Service was great too though would've appreciated the table wiped after we had eaten.

Absolutely epic venue in Chigwell and Mayfair. Dylan (the owner) is a fantastic and really kind hearted soul! He’s done a wonderful job in both restaurants. The food is delicious and so fresh, the atmosphere is just a joy of abundance, the staff are all so friendly and lovely, the decor is very insta wow and the music is really good. Always gets me up to dance, I’m just sad it closes at 1pm as I’d love to dance all night long until the early morning In that beautiful venue. I always bring in any friends and clients that visit the UK to sheesh as it never fails to deliver a class of excellence and Dylan always takes care of them like family. The best in London!!!

There are several things that this restaurant always gets right. First, the service - Very attentive and welcoming whether it's your first time or 100th. The quality of the food - From flavour, texture and quantity, it's always consistent and we've never come away disappointed. The atmosphere - whether you are dressed to the nines for a special occasion, you're on a first date or going low-key, Sheesh has you covered. The cost- tricky one this. Personally I think it's good value. I've come to this conclusion by comparing the food to other higher end restaurants I've been to. Some of them are in posh hotels with a famous name brand attached to it. I've felt that the expectation versus reality is quite different. We came to celebrate a birthday and from the cocktails, the food , to the birthday donuts it was on point. I fully recommend coming here for any occasion. Special mention to the truffle chips and french martinis.

I had the pleasure of being served by Ahmed at Sheesh Restaurant, and I have to say, he made the experience unforgettable! From the moment we sat down, Ahmed greeted us with a warm smile and instantly made us feel like VIPs. His knowledge of the menu was impeccable, guiding us through the best options with great enthusiasm and precision. Throughout the meal, he checked in at the perfect times, ensuring that our drinks were topped off and that we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. It was clear he was passionate about providing excellent service, and his attention to detail was second to none. Beyond just being attentive, Ahmed had a genuine, friendly personality that made our dining experience feel more like a visit with an old friend. It’s rare to encounter someone who truly makes you feel valued, and Ahmed did exactly that. If you’re lucky enough to be served by him, you’re in for a treat! Highly recommend this restaurant, especially with Ahmed on the team. He’s an absolute gem

Food tasted good but very much on the top tier of premium prices . Service was good and the outside had an amazing layout with the fire you can sit by. Certainly not place the regular person can visit anytime is a catered towards a certain demographic target audience so the business model is working. Would also say to improve the lighting as with a big group it is not ideal to have dim lighting like your on a romantic meal.

First time at sheesh Chigwell, treated my son for his birthday. Food was great tasty, great selection of starters. The service was second to none. Marco was very attentive!

We had a very nice experience overall, food was very nice, service was very good, and a nice atmosphere. We went there for my wife’s 60th, and it was a night we will certainly remember. We will very highly recommended.

The food was very tasty, but very overpriced. Also the prices of the drinks, unbelievable that you dare to ask that. Service was very good, maybe a bit too much; Let us talk and don't ask 20 times if we want anything else, you will hear it automatically. Even if you bring the bill, let us check and discuss before you stand on my neck with your PIN machine. I thought the music was too loud, which made talking with friends very tiring, and you had to shout. All in all we had a wonderful evening, partly because of our company. (tip: lower your prices, then your restaurant will be full)

I went here for my birthday with family. Place has a great vibe and is very aesthetically pleasing. They have nice decor and some classic American cars out front to see. The atmosphere resembles quite a dark and mysterious environment. The lighting is purposely kept low and the aesthetic matches that. The attention to detail is very nice and we were seated in the conservatory. The service was great, Marco did a great job, helping with pictures and anything we needed. The food was great too, I would recommend the kofte more, the red meat dishes were really nice as compared to the chicken in my opinion. The prices are going to be on the higher side but that was expected. Be prepared. I think it's worth it for the experience and the environment. The portions are nice, could do with less salad and more meat and possibly more lipie bread but that does not take away the quality. Nice bathrooms too. Overall a great experience.

My third time here and probably my last. Food was very good but previous visits some years ago was outstanding. The famous dream cakes were very dry. Love the experience as a whole if you have never been to Sheesh but the restaurant was very quiet. Maybe it’s time has passed?

Amazing place, delicious food and attentive staff! A huge thanks to Sukru! From the minute we stepped inside, he was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time, he was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu and very funny! We had a table of 10 people and everything was just fantastic! I took my wife for a dinner at the Sheesh Chigwell. Too dim light to even see the food we were eating ! I asked for chicken sheesh, they got me a boneless chicken thighs instead! Then when I was eating, I felt something crunching under my teeth though boneless chicken is supposed to be soft, not hard!! I didn’t know what it was! I just swallowed it! Not having enough light when u eat is a very stupid thing, and tells you a lot about who is managing this restaurant!!! I will never ever visit this place for food again!! Of note, we paid each about £75! I don’t think it’s worth it!!

Good Food, but Unacceptably Rude Service and Poor Complaint Handling I recently had lunch at Sheesh London, and while the food was of good quality, the experience was unfortunately marred by exceptionally poor service. During our business lunch, the waiter was incredibly rude to my guests and me—throwing cutlery on the table and responding dismissively when we questioned his behavior. His conduct left us embarrassed and uncomfortable throughout the meal. Following the visit, I reached out to the management team to address this issue. However, despite multiple emails and follow-ups, their response was deeply disappointing. They conducted what they claim to be an "internal investigation" and concluded that the service was up to their standards, completely disregarding the unacceptable behavior we experienced. Despite acknowledging my right to escalate the issue, they refused to offer any compensation or a meaningful apology. While the food itself was good, a dining experience is about more than just what's on the plate. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to address valid customer concerns means I cannot recommend Sheesh. I had hoped for a more professional and respectful response from a restaurant of this caliber, but sadly, the service and handling of my complaint fell far short of expectations. I won’t be returning, and I urge potential diners to be cautious if they value good service and customer care as part of their dining experience.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and a cozy ambiance. The service was quick, and each dish was prepared perfectly. A wonderful spot for a relaxed dinner!

Bruno was absolutely brilliant, was very quick with orders and checking everything was all ok, quick to notice if we needed another drink! Food was unreal as always, and every worker there was very polite and helpful! Would always recommend sheesh Chigwell to everyone!

If you want to be screwed over for very average Turkish food then this is your place. We went for my sisters 40th birthday and i wish we had stuck to a more local restaurant that would have provided us with better quality food and would have been a fraction of the price. This place is not for children, we were charged £50 a head for the kids ( same price as the adults set meal) and the portions were very average and small. Basically charged adult prices for kids portions! Lamb sis had to be sent back as was pink with blood even though we requested to be well done! Not sure what a rare sis would come out like maybe the lamb would still be walking on your plate! Starters are rubbish, no humus here... surely that is a prime starter in a turkish restaurant. Pastas on the menu are tasteless and dry even though advertised on the menu in sauces! Waiter wasnt sure how many starters come with a party menu and kept telling us it is up to the chef! Sorry if i am paying £50 a head for the kids then i expect to know how many and what starters will come. We werent allowed to bring the cake in to the restaurant " due to allergies" however their signature dessert came out covered in NUTS! make it make sense! The best thing about this restaurant was the Magician nice man and kept us entertained for a short period but apart from that please do not waste your money! Was charged almost £100 for service charge even though we made our selves clear that we werent happy. Rubbish

Booked last minute, and had a wonderful time with amazing service from all the each and every staff, especially Loli who made sure everything was perfect and made us feel welcomed. the food was lovely, the atmosphere was amazing. Overall a great experience, would recommend.
