Amazing ambience , good food, impeccable service and the perfect location for a day out whatever the occasion. Roydon Indian Fusion Restaurant is situated in the heart of Roydon Marina. After taking a stroll of the breathtaking Marina this is the perfect place to recharge and rest whilst dining on authentic and flavourful Indian Cuisine. The service is unmatched from valet parking (for certain events) to kind and welcoming staff. The restaurant itself boasts a large main dining space decked with a fully loaded bar and elegant artworks. There is also a light up mirror in the bathroom perfect for bathroom selfie lovers. For more exclusive dining there is a separate section that can be closed off which provides not only the perfect ambience for a night out or birthday diner, but also for corporate events. The windows have been professionally wrapped with a stained glass coating of sorts which during the day reflect light with all sorts of vibrant colours to give a mesmerising hue to the room. This allows for each of the dining and lunch experiences to be unique and carry their own flavour of ambience. Talking about flavour the food boasts plenty of that! Not only do you have your classic Indian dishes but there is also a good mix of seafood. I am not a fan of fish however the king prawns were absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend giving them a go! All in All it is a 5 star experience for dining and a day out!

Always tasty - my top rated place for paneer tikka masala, onion bhaji's and naan's. Amazed that it's not busier than it is.

The best curry I’ve ever had. This would be my first choice to go to for a curry even if it was located in a really big city. Lovely staff too. If you’re ever in Roydon, definitely the place to go to 😃

Couples of times we did order food but we were upset as we ordered korai dishes , Balti and Bhuna & it appears to have the same sauce . All dishes have same sauce of flavour . Hence no authenticity. On top , the Saag Aloo has no spinach and hardly no meat in the keema naan, Crapped and deceitful.😞😞😞Gone downhill.

Food is absolutely 10/10. We have searched for a decent curry in Essex for a long while and this is the top contender!! Only thing I would say is that the bright wight lights are too intense to sit next to for a whole evening! Definitely recommend xx

It’s difficult to find Indian food to stand out, especially when you get a Madras and my Mrs got a Korma. You understand instantly the attention they put to even the simplest of dishes. Calm and inviting atmosphere with attentive not pushy staff. A lovely experience.

Very disappointed that the 10% discount advertised on the takeaway menu only applies to cash purchases. It is NOT mentioned anywhere on the menu, you only find this out when you try and pay.

Lovely food! Even little one ate all his curry. Vegetable curry was full of lots of fresh vegies, all cleared plates will definitely have it again maybe take away next time as I think the drinks made it that tad bit on the pricey side.

We ate here shortly after it had first opened and weren't too impressed by the food or the service so haven't been back until last weekend. Friends had been recently and recommended it, so we went on Friday with these and other friends, as a group of six. The food was delicious, we had starters and mains plus a couple of side dishes and all of us enjoyed our dishes. It is also very reasonably priced, and very good value. Service was fine once we had got the drinks and the food ordered but it was hard to catch either of the waiters attention when we wanted to order. They wandered around looking anywhere except at the people dining. It wasn't overly busy so there is not much excuse. It has a nice decor, and the ambiance was good so we will go back, and we will order take-aways from there. If the owner reads this then what would make it even better is the staff paying a bit more attention to the clients, and making us feel that you appreciate us coming.

Absolutely terrible the owner thinks he is gengus khan. Avoid at all cost

Two of our party were wheelchair users. One was able to get in, doing it like Blondin up a couple of planks, while the other thought it too risky and decided to give it a miss. Once inside the other had a big problem getting into and out of the toilets. This place is NOT disabled friendly. I left after they gave us a bottle of wine, the neck of which they had broken trying to get they cork out! And they thought it was okay to serve that!? After that, I wasn't going to consume ANYTHING that they had any hand in preparing. Some of our party stayed... and I'm told they waited an hour and a half for food that was "dry". Clearly this restaurant didn't have the capacity to deal with a party of 10. Alas I didn't think to grab and empty the broken wine bottle. So if one of your party has since ordered a glass of white wine and has died from internal bleeding, I'm afraid the best I can now do is offer to be a witness when you take them to court.

We booked a table at the restaurant for 8pm for a Monday evening as we were stopping in a lodge on site. We arrived to an empty restaurant apart from some people waiting for takeaways. We told the waiter as we sat down it was my girlfriends birthday. We waited at least 15 mins before anyone came to ask if we wanted drinks. None of the staff was very talkative or happy. The food was lovely but no one was asked if they wanted anymore drinks even with empty glasses on the table. While we ate the 2 members of staff just sat behind the bar watching us. Once we finished at no time was we asked how was the meal or any further drinks offered. We was then told it was cash only definitely no card payment. Surely we should of been told this when booking? We produced a leaflet that gave us 10% off the bill. We was asked abruptly where had got the leaflet and he was clearly not happy. These leaflets where just inside the restaurant door! After paying we left as it was clear the staff where wanting to go home. No thanks for coming or nice gestures where given considering it was part of a celebration weekend. We left a tip aswell!

Highly recommend that you try this place food was amazing good service great value for money nice portion sizes and the taste was so authentic one of the best dhansaks have ever had and the tandoori mixed grill was delicious

Absolutely appalling customer service, no greeting at all when entering the restaurant, waiter acted like we were intruders into his house, turning his back on us, barely answering our questions. The food was no good at all. I ordered mixed shashlik but there were no prawns as described in the menu, but lots of onion and grilled tomatoes, that were inedible. Very disappointing experience! I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.

This is a hidden gem! We were staying at the Roydon Marina hotel next door and visited for dinner not expecting too much, but the food was utterly delicious! A real treat- the depth of flavour was superb and the meat so tender. The service was also excellent. Can’t recommend it highly enough. We will certainly be back with friends and family soon. Thank you!

Tough chicken. Staff carting tables around ready for next day buffet. Not a good atmosphere or service for a “restaurant”. Been several times and no improvement. Unfortunately do not look forward to visiting again.

Just collected food... Excellent! I was a bit worried prior as it only had 3.7 stars at the time I ordered. But it was way better than that.

We were staying in a lodge in the Marina Village, so had a takeaway on the Friday evening before NYE. I can safely say this is one of the best indian meals we've had (and we've tried many up and down the country). The food was outstanding, great portion, great value, and top quality. The guy who took my order and served me when I arrived was also super friendly. Will 100% return if we stay again.

Extremely rude staff, was told to ‘choke on your Indian’ when I was told to leave after staff made multiple rude comments towards us. Manager witnessed their staff speaking to us like this and didn’t react. Food took ages to arrive and was told to ‘cheer up’ instead of an apology. Won’t be returning.

Save yourself the waste of money and time. Rude unhelpful young waitress. Appalling experience.

Absolutely mint really good food

We had Tandoori King prawn (main) With onions and pepper, king prawn korma. Mushroom rice and sag p, peswari, and lots more ! The best Indian food I’ve ever had! Flavours were amazing. Well worth paying £15.95 for a king prawn korma. Highly recommend Will have again very soon !

Had the most amazing Indian takeaway from here on Friday evening (23/09)! Very friendly waitress, apologies didn’t get her name. Food was incredible and wanting more. Never tasted a curry so good! Luckily we ordered lots of disused to try and it was the best thing we ever did. 5 excellent currys / tikka. Thank you

Ordered a take away from here, it was piping hot and on time. Really lovely, fresh food. Decided to visit the restaurant and had the complete opposite, barely warm food and dry inedible Chicken & Lamb. Poor service and awful music. Not a nice experience at all. We were given 10% reduction on the bill due to our complaints. I will not be returning.

We thought we would try the Roydon Indian so glad we did, the food was fantastic. And the house white is good. Friendly staff. Reasonable priced. Will definitely be going again and they do deliveries aswell.

Was expecting a lovely dining experience but was really under par. Food just plonked on the table, no serving spoons, male waiter was just miserable and unhelpful (the lady that arrived later into our meal was lovely), some of the food was really chewy / inedible and some of the poppadoms were stale. Bill was made up at the end as they said their computer was not working so have no idea if we were over charged. No atmosphere really. Won’t be returning.
