Falafel and hummus wrap tastes great

Food wasn’t all that, was cold by the time it got to me. Service was a bit slow aswell asked the girl behind counter to clean my table and she totally ignored me for around 10 minutes then had to ask her again… won’t be going back!

The most generous restaurant with fresh meat, veg, bread to make your day :) . Favorite Middle Eastern wrap shop, located in the city center, recommend student meal-chicken wrap, falafel hummus wrap, all kebabs. I would like to try to bbq fish but I didn't see it on the menu. You must to try the yogurt drink and the tea.

Chicken and lamb is very good, totally recommend. Staff are friendly to. And an the naan breads are also very good.

Please see below a message sent by a visually impaired friend who tried to visit this establishment today. Shawarma and Grill house Newcastle Gallowgate: i’ve just been refused access to this restaurant with my guide dog. I’m really disappointed not least because I’ve heard really good things about the food there. Please could you do me a favour and share this post, needless to say I’ll be taking this up with Guide Dogs and other relevant organisations. Just to clarify they are breaking the law by refusing me access under the equality act 2010. 

This restaurant is quite happy to break the law by refusing a blind person with his guide dog today. It is against the law to discriminate against somebody because of their disability, and that is what this restaurant did. There is no excuse for this in 2024, they really should know the law, and for this reason I cannot give them a positive review. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

The place is packed. Great Middle Eastern food. Felt like ate something really authentic. For me the joy was seeing the Laban and felafel. The quantity of food is great compared to the price. We spend 30 pounds and 5 tummies full!!!!

First, the reception was very poor. The kebabs were of low quality. The soup and starters were cold and tasted too much of turmeric. The tables were small. And that it is a crowded environment full of stress and personnel without training. And in the end, the price was very expensive. And I am very, very unhappy

I had the samosa from this store for four consecutive days, and it was the most affordable and delicious samosa in all of Newcastle. When I asked the server to give me more eggplant, he kindly gave me a whole plateful, reminding me of the eggplant dishes from my hometown.

Had a Lamb wrap and taste wise was good due to sauces but meat was not tender - very hard to chew. At least, the meat should be tender and chewable. Will be hesitant to visit it again.

I wouldn't even give this place one star. This is one of the worst restaurants in Newcastle. The food was terrible, the service was bad, and they overcharge customers.

i went here and the food was good until… a few hours later i was suffering with food posining i’m glad i didn’t take my children here as we would of all had food poisoning but on the good side the food was really good and flavourful just got to be careful on the chicken!

The restaurant is clean enough and there are plenty spaces for eat in. The price is reasonable, if not slightly cheaper than the the other similar restaurants. The portion is somehow big. The taste is not outstanding, but good. The service is fast and responsive.

Top quality food, all cooked to order while you watch. Grab a table if you can. Great staff.. Best value in town. Been a few times, tried most of menu and it’s all consistently good. Healthy as well if you don’t get chips. As much fresh flatbread as you can manage. Best around, you can tell by the queues.

First of all I’ve been there like 17 times and each time I’ve spent more than (£20-25)and there’s two staff shifts one of them is a very nice and good staff but unfortunately the other one who is there most of the time is literally the opposite of the other shift, they are so rude and they speak so rudely to the customers, they don’t even give you the right order, once I ordered takeout (mixed kebab) and they gave me a wrong order (lamb shawarma) which was worth way less than I paid for. And today I went there and the same shift was there and they showed me a very bad attitude when I told them that the kebab was looking so bad clearly the person who grilled it was not trained or skilled enough. Even though they still made me eat it and never got a refund, or either an apology. So basically their customer service is so poor and it’s an absolute rubbish.

God willing, the dishes are large and the prices are very suitable for you. I expect these prices May God bless them and increase their grace

The best and the cheapest pizza in Newcastle. My favourite is bbq. Don't forget to have free qehwa drink there....

Ordered a shawarma wrap (large), a shawarma meal (including salad, a drink and chips), a portion of chips and 4 dips. After waiting longer than expected we only received a small shawarma wrap (I’ve ordered the large before so immediately noticed it was a lot smaller), no chips, no portion of chips and no drink. To add to this all of the food arrived cold which was the cherry on top for the whole experience. We tried calling to discuss these issues but nobody answered. We’ve ordered a handful of times from here so it was a massive shame to have this really negative experience.

Was excited to try as the food looked delicious, I was wrong, I ordered mixed shawarma the portion size was big, after waiting 15 minutes for bread I went back and was greeted with grunts and groans after eating the meal I was pleased with the food, however 6/7 hours later I was ill, vomiting, diarrhoea and feeling stomach cramps, on reflection the place had no common system 5/6 people touching the food, tables not cleaned, never once seen anyone wash their hands, the toilet was being used for people to wash their mouths after eating and the usual toilet things, no cleaning system in place, bins outside an open window so flies all over, raw meat being stored in a cooked meat section and the guy handling both with no gloves, I went back next day and was told I was not used to the spice or oil, I work and holiday in the Middle East so have eaten shawarma in Cairo, Luxor, Jeddah to name a few but never been ill, I will put it down to lesson learned, just be careful and don’t drink the communal tea, I watched people eat with their hands and handle the tea urn and paper cups without washing.

My review is based on what I ordered and what I received. I placed an order in the shop for takeaway. 2 chicken shawarma and to lamb kofta with chips. The guy packed my food after waiting 15 minutes without asking what salad I would like in kofta.then the chicken shawarma was asked what salad I would like, I said everything except onions. He did this but I thought he packed two shawarma. But it was only one. Such a shame. When I opened the food it was full of onions hardly any other salad. Then there was boiled white rice. I never mentioned rice when placing my order. There were no chips, so so disappointed with this takeaway, service and food.

There’s not many good sharwarma places in Newcastle, so I was really excited to try this place. Whenever I go past they have been very busy a few times so thought it must be good. We walked in and were just stood there as we didn’t know what the protocol was, nobody was on the front of house to get us a table or to tell us to order first etc. Anyway, we place our order and the food came out within 10 mins which is great. I took my first bite of the sharwarma with the naan they give and it was SO salty and very overcooked meat to the point some parts of it was crispy. I thought I would have another bite but again, was the exact same so I didn’t even touch the meat. They give some condiments on the side of the plate like pickle, hummus and salad. In all honestly, the hummus was probably the most enjoyable thing on the plate, so disappointing. Although there’s not many good places for sharwarma, there definitely are better places than this one in Newcastle.

The worst lamb shawarma I ever had. The Shawarma lamb was a portion of very greasy chips with a small Drizzle of lamb meat on it. Most of the portion was Chips! They even didn't bother to get oil of the chips.VERY greasy! I will never try it again. What west of money! Even the Humus had no toast at all. Guys you better start another job. You have no talent in food industry.

The first and the last time i ordered from them, i got the food cold and tasteless, the pizza was very dry, and for £8.50 shawarma very small portion, the chips is not weell cooked, and I got the wrong order instead of mix shawarma they gave chicken Shawarma with the price of mix one. They didn't even pick the phone.

Corrected, as they apologised for their mistake, so we enjoyed the food afterwards.

Bought a small Lamb Shawarma wrap for a total of £4. The place was busy but we were served and given our food really fast. The busy atmosphere and happy faces added to the sense that the food was good value for money. The wrap had plenty of meat in it, not skimped on that front. Optional salad and sauces.

One of the top 3 (posh) kebab shops in Newcastle and thr West End. I had the shawarma (£10) you could easily share between 2. Don't be deceived by the cheap kebab shop Outlook, higine (cleaners constantly refilling the tea and clearing tables) is top notch and really authentic. 10/10 for value for money 10/10 for flavour 8/10 for setting (can't park, only one toilet; this doesn't put me off)

Mixed shawarma is very tasty and comes in a fresh warm wrap. Salads all fresh and crisp. Great pre or post match food pit stop- recommend. Much better than boring chain takeaways.

Long waits and food that doesn't match! Very poor experience, middle-aged waitress could not understand English, ordered food indiscriminately, charged incorrectly, and had a poor service attitude. Bad experience, this waitress had problems more than once and the food served was also very small, much worse than other waiters.

This place is a few minutes walk from St James Park. The Chicken shawarma wrap was plentiful Tasty and reasonably priced £7 including a Can of Soft Drink. A lot more enjoyable and cheaper than the Overpriced food in the stadium

The food, especially the shawarma, is very delicious. Probably the best food I have ate in the North East, especially in Newcastle. The staff there are wonderful and very friendly. I'd suggest going there as I would aswell!

Food is definitely 5 star however people who work here , as others mentioned seem to be very unpleasant and arrogant 😂 might just be the way they are , I’m not sure but I’ll definitely be back for the food !
