The place was PACKED. After ordering the food, experiencing the service of guys and then finally tasting the food the busyness of the place made sense. Top service and the Lamb Shawarma sandwich meal was spot on. The bread was soft yet had a crispyness to it, the Shawarma was absolutely tasty, the sauces just brought the sandwich to another level as did the mix chicken & lamb shawarma sandwich. Not the biggest place, a tight squeeze a few tables indoors and a few outdoors BUT I wouldn't dwell on those little obstacles. The food and service makes up for everything. A MUST try.

Honestly speaking, there couldn’t be a better quality of Shawrma than Wala

Had a great experience at Shawarma Wala! We ordered the chicken shawarma wraps and the chicken platter. We also wanted to try the lamb shawarma, but unfortunately, it was already sold out – a testament to its popularity, I guess! The chicken shawarma was delicious, but the real star of the meal was the amazing naans – so soft and fresh, they really elevated the whole dish. The price and service were both fantastic, and the environment was comfortable and welcoming. The only minor downside was the sauces – while they were fine, they didn’t stand out and could be improved. That said, the overall experience was great, and I would highly recommend Shawarma Wala for anyone craving fresh, flavourful shawarma!

Really nice wraps but it is not really shawarma

I have contacted trading standards as I don’t believe they are using lamb in the. Lamb Shawarma’. Time will tell, let’s see

Nice Kurdish Shawarma. Place is clean and well maintained but super busy most of the time. Prices are economical. Lamb shawarma run out early I guess. Seating isn't enough for big families. The owner and the staff are very friendly. Free Kurdish tea. Overall good place for Shawarma and pizza!

The atmosphere is amazing as soon as you walk in. Even though the queues might be a bit long, they offer free tea to everyone to help you relax while you wait for your food. We were there this week, and we loved the Shawarma chicken and lamb are very tasty .the nan bread is fresh as well.

Ordered mixed sharwarma pizza at lunchtime. Shop was busy..so they are doing something good. Was told 20 min wait for the pizza ..no problem with that. Unfortunately the pizza base was undercooked and the top was overcooked. Dough was not fluffy soft or light..in fact it was tasteless and difficult to eat..

Nice tasty chicken Shawarma with nan bread

Just amazing- really fast service even though at times the place gets jam packed. I’ve recently visited and was able to catch my breath with a free Syrian cup of tea- so lovely. Ma sha Allah. I do get a bit anxious when it comes to having my wrap being made up_ they need to chill out with the rushing a bit- as I feel they need to slow down and tailor the topping to the customer’s taste rather than rushing to get the wrap wrapped up. Otherwise- 10/10 best shawarma in bham 🔥🫶🏼🫰🏼👌🏼👌🏼🙃

Ordered chicken and lamb shawarma with fries and naan The chicken shawarma was very very tasty but the lamb shawarma was on another level, full of flavour 👌 💯 🔥🔥 Very reasonable prices and generous portion sizes.... I would definitely RECOMMEND this place for anyone to try out...

Please dont be fooled by the pictures of their food on uber eats etc, the meat portions are ridiculously small, there is 80% salad or rice and 20% meat. Appalling.

Ordered £7 shawarma on a tray at the small heath branch. I'm coeliac so can't eat bread. The young guy with glasses served me my food. He gave me ONLY literally all of the scraps at the bottom of the turntable which were barely warm. Everyone else got a fresh serving and they weren't even closing, i was wearing joggers and maybe he thought she'll be ok with scraps. I said i want the fresh stuff he looked at it and ignored me. I said it again and his other colleagues looked at him, still he didnt add more so i could have a warm meal. He asked if I wanted salad and I said just the red cabbage but he decided to add the rest. I then said can I have more red cabbage (it would've probably cost them another 10p if that) he ignores me , turned around and got bread as if he didn't care. I said no bread as im coeliac, he carried on, i said no bread again, another guy said no bread? I said no (again) even though my order was bread free. Absolutely poor customer service. Older guy who took order was ok. Will not be going back again. The food was barely warm and not that great , there was a lot of fat, by the time i got home i saw chunks of fat (see white bit in pic) and they were too stingy with the sides. It's one thing to get the meal and not complain but to actually make a complaint that's ignored thats the worst customer service ever. I should have refused the food. I only recommend this place if you want a stingy man to ignore your requests and give you cold scraps.

They’ve turned it around, my previous experiences were not good and now I am a regular customer. I usually go for the chicken shawarma wrap which is tasty, filling and value for money. The staff are busy so don’t have time for small talk but are friendly if they recognise you. Have a free Kurdish tea whilst you wait.

Was OK at best. Struggling to understand the hype around this place. Pizza was not nice at all not sure what the base sauce is but it wasn’t nice. Portion sizes aren’t very big and shawarma was lacking flavour that’s for sure.

Delicious from beginning to end. Grinning in delight. Next week I will do it again. Finger licking good. Nothing better to put in the bag. Hala food is the best tag. Tea with a punch. Come eat it for dinner and lunch. Bismillah time to munch.

Tried this as it was recommended....the taste was good, a little dry and salty. I did not put any of their sauces on the food to get a better taste of the Shawarma and food it to be ok. Would go back again if I was craving a Sharwama....

Tried it first time but not as good as expected. Average taste. Portion was small even though we took large plate. Cashier and server were in a rush as if they quickly want to serve and leave. Not a good atmosphere for family.

Tried this place for a Shwarma hit as I was craving a snack and heard this place is nice. Glad I tried it, got chips with garlic and chilli sauces which were nice and crunchy. I also got 2 mix shwarma’s, 1 in a wrap and 1 in a sandwich (soft Turkish bread). Both were loaded with salad, hummus and all sauces…lovely! Nice, fresh and hot juicy meats went well with the salad and sauces. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes you get. If you like more meat and less bread, go for the wrap but if you like a little more soft bread the sandwich option is nice too. It was busy with customers taking food away and eating in, evidently a local favourite. The service was really good and the brothers are very kind. I changed my mind on what I wanted after I’d paid to upgrade my order and the brothers wouldn’t charge me for this and even put in 2 extra drinks at no charge. Will definitely come again for a snack on the go next time I’m around this area. The only star dropped was the space is limited should you wish to come with a larger crowd, with only 3 small tables but they’ve done the best they could with the space they have. Fine for small groups or the lads. …their Ayran drink is the best around too for those who like yoghurt drinks.

I came whem they opened 3 times and it used to he amazing. Large portions of meat in the sandwhich and tasty large portion of chips. We live in Wales so we visit everytime we come to Birmingham. We went 2 times this year and very disaapointed. The chip portion halved and was bad quality, the Shawarma portion of meat has halved and it is all salad. Even when we told them leas salad more meat. They still gave us tiny bit of meat. Shrinkflation? I am so disappointed as I loved this place and gave it 5/5 last time. As I have been twice this year with no improvements I won't be returning again. Lost loyal customers.

I'm actually amazed, who would have ever thought the best shawarma in West Midlands is in a little shop as this, I'm a regular customer here and the chicken is real chicken made out of breast same as the lamb, tasty and with a lot of flavour, I do have to add everything is hand made. Customer service is just on point good people they don't mind to add any little extra from anything you really feel like in home when you enter to this little shop. There's a place close to them by 2 shops called yum yum, is a fake copy of them and they are very rude, meat & chicken have no flavour, I tried to see if they're good competitors but I have to say, that place is not even close to this. MASHALLAH!

Mashallah , the best service accompanied by fresh food. You cannot go wrong fron the price to the people serving very welcoming people. Hygene emmaculate, food was freshly served and the portions were huge. Thabk you very much would recommend for family and friends.

Since I first visited, its become a regular. As long as you get here before the lamb runs out, your good. The pizza is definitely worth trying. And, they currently don't have it on the menu yet but, they a Loaded shawarma Fries. Tastes absolutely heavenly. Overall, the place is clean and customer service is really excellent for what it is. Seating is limited, so you'll struggle to find somewhere to sit and eat. Portion sizes are decent. Well worth a visit. PARKING: Best place to park is Morrisons Carpark towards/Behind Dixy Chicken and its a 2min walk across a pelican crossing. Do NOT park on double yellows, as traffic wardens are out and about during the day.

I came today just before 12pm. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and a lamb sandwich however after paying for the sandwich n wrap the employee informed me that there delivery for the sandwich bread hasnt arrived and if i can change it to something else so i did to a lamb wrap instead. However when the employee asked me what to have on the wraps he couldnt hear me properly due to the loud noise from the tv they had. He couldnt understand basic english either. They give really small portion of fries which i wasnt expecting. I was expecting atleast twice the size they give. Especially when you charge 5.50 for chicken wrap meal and 6.50 for lamb wrap meal you think they would give you bit more fries. The wrap was nice. The lamb was fresh and juicy but the chicken was quite dry. I probably wouldnt come here again only due to the service i recieved today. The portion of wrap to lamb was quite small too. Other restaurents give alot more of a portion especially with the same price aswell.
