My extended family from the US and UK meet for a week in a cottage in Kingsbridge, Devon. Charli catered for us four times and we enjoyed every morsel. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for lunch with a group of friends. Fantastic service, extremely friendly service and staff. For ease we just ordered all of the starters and sides to share tapas style. Every dish was superbly presented and absolutely delicious. Amazing good and excellent wine. Can't wait to return.

Enjoyed a late lunch here. Beautiful surrounding area with lovely views. Food very nice but as we dined late, (2.30pm) quite a few of the menu choices were not available. Not the nicest of journeys to reach the cafe as it’s mainly a single track road with passing places. Staff nice and efficient.

Relaxed, continental atmosphere here, eating outdoors but under cover. Fabulous views, too, over the bend in the Rover Dart south of Totnes. Good to see a mixed crowd of people enjoying a leisurely lunch; families holidaying, walkers, locals. The food more than matches the setting, with fluffy focaccia and coarse hummus as a taster appetiser before we tucked into some substantial starters: whipped goat's cheese and candied walnuts went beautifully with ham hock terrine, piccalilli and toasted sourdough. The fresh salad was mixed with freshly pickled fennel, courgettes and radishes, which gave it a lovely balance. A glass or two of the Pinot Rose matched everything perfectly. We passed on Mains but they looked equally inventive and colourful: chunk of lamb, tempura broccoli and chick pleas just two of th highlight. Everything is super fresh here, using the estate's own produce where possible, the service friendly and efficient. Apparently they will be moving to the new vineyard across the river in the near future, where they will have better accommodation. I just hope they don't lose the warm charm they have currently and the exciting food.

Wow! Unbelievably rude. And have not even visited. Tried and tried to get through to book a table - rang at all different times and phone just cuts out. No option to leave message. Emailed - no reply. Then when Sharphams wine put me through (funny then they answer) first thing the staff member said was “for future reference when booking don’t ring at our busiest time..” then said they were closed all next week. What a complete waste of my time.

Charlie and her team did a stellar job catering at the Cellar Door for our recent September wedding. The food was outstanding - from the canapes washed down with Sharpham sparkling wine to the multi-tiered wedding cake with edible flowers and home-made ice-cream. Charlie was brilliant to deal with regarding finalising the menu, taking our preferences into account and making great suggestions ending up in a fresh and zesty menu highlighting seasonal local produce. The flavours were exquisite, the portions very generous and the service impeccable. They kindly brought more fizz for the speeches and we didn't feel at all rushed. The vegetarians were also very happy. I couldn't recommend the Cellar Door more highly - it is really exceptional.

As we had a tour booked at the vineyard, we decided to try lunch here too. There is a one way system in place and the staff are friendly and helpful. Although a number of us were there for the vineyard experience there were also many locals lunching and that surely is a good sign... Between us we had a Katsu curry and the vegetarian tart of the day, delicious. A cider and a Rose completed the meal. If we lived nearby we would definitely visit here again.

The day was wet so not really the best conditions for an al fresco meal. But the plastic roof and walls kept out the rain. And the food was brilliant. The standards of invention, preparation and presentation were a match for the best London restaurants but at half the price.

During Rosie's reign Sharpham was a brilliant place for long leisurely lunches. After she left it seemed to have lost its way. However a lovely lunch today reassured me that it was back to what it used to be. Great lunch accompanied by friends and a bottle of Sharpham Rose. Great al fresco lunching - so good to see it back to where it was.

We walked to Sharpham from Totnes, which sharpened our appetites. We shared three appetisers (cheese croquettes, mackerel rillettes and focaccia with hummus. All were excellent. The main courses (trout with peas and chicken schnitzel) were great, too, as were the chips. A glass of the 2014 sparkling white was lovely, and the 2018 Beenleigh rose was to die for. If only we hadn’t been walking back, I would have bought some from the shop. A lovely Sunday lunch.

We read about this place in a magazine and thought we would try it out. It’s a Monday and the place was packed for lunch. We got one of the tables outside by the wine shop. We had a mixed of dishes (appetisers, starters and mains) to share. The goat cheese with beetroot and candid walnuts served with crackers was beautifully presented and done. Cod cheek Croquettes were good. Chicken with bacon jam was unusual but yummy. Mussels were fresh and juicy. The trout served with peas in chicken stock was okay (a bit heavy as a fish dish). We had a few glasses of wine and they were all tasty. The descriptions on the wine list were spot on for those who want to know what’s what before deciding which wine to go for. Service was great. A great spot to dine out especially when the sun is out. Off the beaten track for sure but worth the drive if you want something different. There is a path by the car park that you can have a stroll but we didn’t do it as we had to head back.

What more could you ask for than a beautiful sunny day, perched above a river in the rolling hills around Totnes? Oh? You're hungry too? Well that shouldn't be a problem. Cellar Door Cafe is a delightful spot, with an ever-changing menu of exquisite cuisine. The chef clearly cares about delivering food to a very high standard. Couple this with a wonderfully crisp glass of white wine from the winery next door, smiling and attentive service staff, all topped off with a little walk down through the trees and along the river to digest. So worth the short drive up from Totnes for this gem of a restaurant. 5/5

I have now been to this restaurant twice and both times was impressed by the menu and the quality of the food. All the food is local and fresh. They have appetisers, starters, mains and desserts. The goats cheese with caramelised walnuts is divine. My colleague found the scallops and the brill to be excellent too. They only open March to September and only at lunch time but are worth seeking out. We will be back next year.

Award winning wine and cheese that can also be bought in the on-site shop. Outside seating under canvas covers/umbrellas. There is a guided tour of the vineyard that can be booked, or stroll down by the River Dart. Very peaceful and no music so you can actually talk ! Smiling and efficient staff. A rather winding small road to access but plenty of parking.

We chose to stay at Humphrey's on our honeymoon trip and I'm so glad we did! The room was just as pictured, staff were so friendly and the grounds are beautiful. Truly felt like we were in our own little Polynesian bubble. We felt safe at this location as well - we hope to return someday!
