Sharkeys Bar in Glasgow City

Was there at a retirement party, service was absolutely brilliant main server for us that night was fantastic she went way above normal service, atmosphere was great and the buffet was well presented and very tasty

Best wee kept secret in Glasgow for great pub grub. Portions are fantastic menu has a great choice to pick from. Does kids menu as well. Don't let the dated decor fool you it's got a great atmosphere on game days and has live singers.

Friendly, relaxed and decent pub grub

On our adventure on the underground and Glasgow centre we got chatting to a chap in the Butterfly & Pig who on spotting our accent as being "Smoggies" from Middlesbrough, gave us loads of recommendations as he used to work in the steel works on the River Tees. One with it being over the road from the Premier Inn was "why have you not been to Sharkeys". It came highly recommended by our vaping new friend. It is hidden away under the railway arches. The staff were so friendly and a fantastic pint of Guinness. The music was bang on, my cup of tea. The place when I sneaked a look around the corner was huge. Gutted we missed the food as that came recommend by our man too. No stars for the food because we did not have any. Food, I do believe stops at 6pm the beer does not. Loving live music in venues next time we will check out "Sharkeys" first as it looks like it gets in the kind of musicians I love. As soon as we opened the door it screamed of our local back home.

Food is great Service was....really nice respectful staff Atmosphere was calming Only thing was speaker was right beside us....the Only seat left and was too loud for me ... but great 👍 night with....family party 18th

Just spent the afternoon in sharky,s celebrating my da,s 80th birthday. We had a 2 course meal and I had soup then fish chips. The food was excellent and very reasonable. The sevice was superb and the staff were brilliant. The pub has a great atmosphere and the locals were brilliant. Only what I would expect from the gorbals people. Our family had a brilliant day infact I don't have enough good things to say about the place . Thanks sharky,s from the mccusker family

What a find, we ate here for several months, stayed at Premier Inn but don’t like the atmosphere or food n prices. Ate at Sharkeys every night food was cheap and fabulous. The staff were very friendly and polite. Would recommend to anyone local or not. It's good for pub lunch they do 3 course meals but I only had a main of chicken curry with rice N chips. Got a drink aswell there was 3 of us it came to about twenty pounds that's not counting the drinks.

Stumbled across this bar on a sleety, snowy Thursday night. It’s more shabby than chic and crazy cheap. Staff were friendly and the two tables beside me had noticeably southern accents and felt safe which was comforting. Has a very local feel to it. Would I drink there again? Yes, but probably only on the way to the football

Absolutely love this pub! Afternoon lunch is beautiful and really cheap.. you'll leave nothing on the plate, da had steak pie, we had chicken curry which I recommend its delicious, staff are super friendly and full of banter. This is our best place to go .. love it!

Was here as an extra on crime 2 tv drama. What I seen was very clean toilets, 2 bars might go back one day just for few drinks

I wouldn't hesitate in giving five stars directly to the staff. Always welcoming, always professional and deserving of high praise indeed. Credit where it is due. It's the staff that can lift a bar up from being a good one to a great one, and this is a great bar. The pub grub menu is not only value for money, but of an exceptionally high quality. There's a wide range of beers and spirits available. And in short if I resided nearby I'd make it my local. If Michelin gave out stars for pubs then they would join me in awarding them five too.

Great food,reasonably priced, The 5-8 karaoke was good,but needs word of mouth to spread.A good time could be had by people who like to eat early,have a wee sing song and retire early to their homes.highly recommended 👍👍👍👍

Totally brilliant day. The staff were great with us, clearly intent on making our event the very best. Never seen so many happy children, the entertainer was superb, 6 hours that guy kept the children entertained so well worth his fee.sharkeys lounge was just perfect for our day and the staff went out ot their way to ensure everything went just fine. A great traditional Irish pub with a mixture of old and young faces . They serve food . Good mixture of sports on the BIG screens or you can catch some great folk music Fantastic staff ! A hidden gem in the gorbals , only 5 mins walk from Glasgow city centre !

Dont think it's all off the staff. But some very rude.in response to my review it was not me but it was what I witnessed between your staff and another patron (teenager). Its really not a nice place.

Great local bar tucked under the arches off Ballater Street. Same owners for over 30 years. Great selection of beers. Well worth a visit and I wish it was my local.

Not been in this pub for a few years, but when I did I always enjoyed this pub for the football and the regulars and the owners Peter and Isa. Good grub in this pub as well. And 99% of the staff are very pleasant.
