A very clean & tidy place but they got our order wrong, kids had to wait for food. Our peri peri burgers had no salad & were bland. So disappointing

Used to go here regularly when they 1st opened but they regularly started getting my order wrong but then started to blame me for it somehow. Shame really because they do some good stuff.

This is more of a takeaway with seats than a proper restaurant. Limited menu, cash only and the food was pretty bland. Disappointed as I'd read a lot of decent reviews

Went on a Sunday night with the family for a curry. We have passed this establishment on many occasions and have taken quite a fancy to it with its colourful interior. We ordered a chicken bhuna, dhal chicken with chapatti + salad, large donner kebab on naan and a kids chicken strip meal. Drinks ordered were an Oreo milkshake and a Ferro Roche milkshake plus tap water. The milkshakes (considering they were only £2.99) were brilliant, they used the real chocolate not some Aldi knock-off and they came with chocolate sauce, drizzled around the cup, absolutely delicious. The donner kebab was HUGE it wasn't greasy whatsoever and tasted great with the chili sauce. The two curries were very authentic, we have tasted some great curries over the years but these were some of the best. The chicken strips in the kiddies meal were chargrilled and tender, great for dipping in sauces. The children's meal also came with chips and a fruit-shoot. Naans and chapattis were not too doughy or floury, just right. The poppadum's were a little thin but still pretty good. I must say this may look like your generic curry and kebab shop but give it a try it honestly has some of the most authentic food I've ever tasted and I've been eating curries for over 6 years now. Moral of the review don't judge a book by its cover.

I’ve driven past this takeaway/restaurant many times and have always it looked very colourful and impressive. So the other weekend I finally decided to try this venue. Walking in you are met with a 5 star rating and inside looks very clean and appears to target the younger audience with its deco. Sadly on my first visit the 2 meals we ordered were far too hot and rather tasteless. Ok sometimes you order the wrong thing so this weekend I decided to try again ordering a Chicken Tikka masala. Oh no...what a disappointment. Other than being very red, the meal was tasteless. Full of spices it said...what spices, couldn’t taste any. I’m not into home made curries because they never match up to the real thing but in this instance, I wished I had opened a jar and made my own. Sorry but this is one Indian I will be giving a wide berth in future.

Just sampled sharifs lovely authentic food we had the keema curry with pilau rice and lamb korai both were really tasty Indian settle dishes will certainly visit again !!

It may be small and the décor a little sparse but the food is to die for the tandoori fish is brilliant their mango lassi is wonderful the place is spotless and the staff are very friendly.

Had the hot n spicy mixed kebab. The meat was great, bread soft and tasty and chips were perfectly cooked. All came with good service and a good price. Will return and recommend.

Heard great things about this place from my friends, a lot of them rate it highly and I know it's a popular spot! The place it's self is very clean and fresh looking! The mixed meat platter that I got was swimming in grease! I left half of it! The chips were good, and the milkshake was fantastic! Didn't feel very well after this meal when o got home, don't think I will be returning

Spot on every time.. double chicken steak and spicy rice. Washed down with a Ferrero milkshake. Ignore any bad reviews

Best in Burnley great food and great service. Never had a bad meal from here and highly recommend. Delivery drivers always polite and well mannered food comes very presentable.

Excellent hospitality and room. Exceptional breakfast served by Constantin's - the manager. The village of Tsepelovo has a wonderful ambience and less overrun by day trippers than neighbouring Monodhendri so you get a much better feel for this unique region as a result. Only a 10 min drive to the wonderful Vikos Gorge. Try this place, you won't regret it. Very good restaurant in village called Mitri Arktos ( they serve wonderful salads).

Went for a late night munch. Wasn't expecting much to be fair. However the burger was just right, good value. Overall clean surroundings. A pleasant surprise.

it was tasty i thought it may be disgusting but my dada told me to try a new restaaurant 'sharif restaurant' out and when i did it was delicious i couldnt stop eating

Food was very good but probably stood for too long as it was cold when it arrived. One of our favourite curries in Burnley but think £15 minimum delivery charge is too much. Would rather pay £1.00 delivery and be able to order a bit less.

although we havent eaten from there as the delivery cost is way too high,, my son has been there lots of times for there extensive range of shakes,, which he loves,, hes tried their chips as well and he said theyre better than traditional chip shop chips, i find it to be quite expensive

I think people generally only provide ratings or feedback when there is something wrong not when something is good. I think its a shame and everyone is entitled to an opinion I guess.its is a informal dining experience, similar to Nandos where you go to the counter and order your food and then pay, once your food is ready it comes to your table so not sure what the other user is complaining about, a little harsh!we had the grilled peri peri chicken and some of their house specials, was cooked freshly and arrived in the time they said. it was a fairly busy as most people try and sit in the booth seating area but we were happy to sit on the regular table.would highly recommend this place in burnley

We ate at Sharifs on a June Thursday evening and it really is a confusing place. The restaurant/takeaway is spotlessly clean and bright in their corporate colours and has about 60 covers for sit down meals. But it's not really a restaurant as you go up to the counter and order and pay for your food as if you were going to take it away.The food itself was fine but the dahl undercooked for my liking. The bhoona very good, fresh naan but pre cooked pappadums (why do restaurants do this?)

the food here is very nice, full of flavour, you can also get icecream and milkshakes and cake. staff are very friendly. only downfall is the price a little expensive, but the food is worth it.

Firstly some of the reviews on here must not have eaten the 'core' specialities that sharifs offer! Please believe that all the kebabs and the curries are Devine and outstandingly priced! The curries beat all the Indian takeaways in a 100 mile radius and the chapaties are the best! The kebabs are Devine and undoubtedly the best I have ever had! Everything we have had is perfect! Cannot comment on eating in at the venue because we never have and we have never had the Piri Piri either! The only warning we do have is if it's fri or sat night order in advance cos they get real busy and delivery can be 1 hour+

Visited here after some friends from Yorkshire sides came for a visit, so decided to take them to the place most lit up and mediocrely decored, we were charged over £33 for steak and chips x 3. However when it arrived there was nothing steak alike about the meal, a lot of meat mashed up and cut into strips. Maybe had something to hide? Was it ever a steak piece and the portion was insulting especially after paying soo much. At first when we were charged by the counter clerk I noticed we were overcharged at the first instance however I did not want to seem petty Infront of guests and argue my point. Moving on the 'steak' was very very chewy and inedible, after spending so long chewing the meat in each forkful rest of the food had got cold, so we ended up eating just the chips with loads of sauce. So yeh we paid too much for some saucy chips.The comment above praising 'Nadeem' sounds like a sharif employee has gone out of his way to write such a comment. When we finally ordered the sharif special sundae.....you guessed it carton ice cream in a glass with m & m chocolate pieces and lots of strawberry and chocolate sauce just like out of a ice cream van except the ice cream van was better!! Go and try if you want to waste funny , but if you are ordering multiple things just go for the fun of bieng overcharged and then remind him you have been overcharged. Then watch his face lol

We had travelled from Leeds to meet a friend in Burnley, who was just visiting for a few days from London. We decided to meet at Sharifs as it looked decent on the internet. The place itself is not a bad environment to dine. However, we ordered 1 x large Lamb Karahi, 1 x large Daal handi, 2 additional chapattis, chicken tikka boti, 1 x fries and 3 x cans of pop. We were charged £27.00 for this. Furthermore, once the food was brought out, they didn't bring the chips out at all.Afterwards, we just totalled up everything that we had ordered and it seems we were overcharged by £5.00 and didn't even get our chips that we had also paid for!! This is the first and last time I ever visit Sharifs - and for that matter, I wouldn't even recommend they eat there.Just gobsmacked that they conned us out of £5.00 - how petty!!

I would rate 10/10, first thing first got top customer service from a lad called Nadeem from burnley who works at sharifs, i was muddled up with my order in going in to high value prices for my order but he gave me sum smashing service in giving me good deals in value which saved me alot of money, he gave me gud service and while i was sat dwn waiting he was running around serving other customers and getting his colleagues to look after other customers, my food was on time, i was given 30 mins and i had my food 15 mins early from time given from the Nadeem who served me, i got my food piping hot.Ppl say that they got ripped off, food is rubbish, this happned that happened but i dnt believe this, this is nw my 3rd visit and ive been served by this person many times and so hav my friends who hav recommended me and i say wot service he gives is mind blowing also the amount off running around he does and gets his colleagues to do says it all, KEEP IT NADEEM FROM BURNLEY, u make us proud that ur working for sharifs, 110% would reccommend 5****

Having read the reviews I thought we would try Sharifs for a change. Having looked on a online ordering website to check the prices we rang through the order for collection. When my husband collected our food he was told the total was £9.80 for two 1/2 burger meals yet it should have only come to £8.60. When questioned the staff explained that apparently the till says differently. Umm ok. My husband let it go and handed over the £9.80 and brought their paper menu home, after checking their menu it seems £8.60 was the advertised price both online and on paper so why they decided to con us out of £1.20 is a mystery. I could possibly think of a few reasons which may not be appropriate for trip advisor. Never again will we use Sharifs out of pure principle

Visited this takeaway/restaurant (fourth visit) and asked for a Medium Hot Steak was given an extremely hot steak.When putting forward my concern to the staff at the restaurant I was told that it was medium (Like I don't know the difference between medium and hot) and that it may have been marinated excessively with chilli sauce, no replacement was given, handed it back as I was not satisfied with the service and food and the very poor explanation.I am suffering for this now and have had many repeated journeys to the toilet.Truth be told I am writing this on the toilet!!!!!

The food is fresh, hot and tasty. Best kebab in Burnley. The peri peri chicken is also excellent. Can't wait to try the milkshake s they do with different chocolate bars in them. You can also eat in.
