Tried but not proper Indian taste . Less salt also tasted more of tangy . Not recommended if you are looking for proper Indian taste.Taste felt bit similar to all dish , seem like gravy used was same.

Chicken ticka masala tasted awful, watered down, no flavour let alone any spices. Never going here again.

Do not get your food from here, all of our meals all had raw chicken. The curry’s were also extremely watery.

Abysmal service, had to chase up order after waiting an extra half hour, they couldn't find any record of it but lo and behold it arrived! But only half of it! Had to call again and waited another half an hour for the rest of the order which was promptly dropped on the ground, not the poor delivery drivers fault but you feel quite defeated by that point, half an hour later after another phone call we finally got the rest of our order which we ate in front of the others that had finished theirs an hour earlier, Shapla graciously included an extra poppadom for our trouble Absolutely disgraceful customer service, they couldn't have cared less just as long as our payment whistled itself through

Had a meal from here tonight, wanted something spicy and tasty,I should of had Baked Beans on toast, would of been better,and cost less

First time that I have been disappointed with my order and I have used them for some time with no issues. Today placed an order for chicken korma and chicken dansak, with rice and extra chips and sundries. Ended up with two chicken korma's with rice, and the chips were cold. Ended up heating up the chips in our airfryer. Didn't phone up to complain as I didn't want to wait for my chicken dansak to be cooked and delivered and in the process spoiling My partners meal. If I order in the future I will check my order before letting the delivery person leave All I ask is that the correct orders are checked before they are sent out and the the food stays hot or at least warm by the time it gets delivered

Had a naga curry supposed to be hot and spicy .. For some reason it wasn't not enough chili's or not used the correct chili either way was disappointing but I'll give the chef a good shout on taste as it did taste 75% like a naga just another dig me father inlaw had a pathia and was hotter than my naga... sorry guys used you a few times and this was a disappointment. Good atmosphere from the guys though when we picked up the food and helpful staff .

Have had a chicken madras takeaway a few times now and it's perfectly hot!

Food delivered more than half an hour late and cold. so much flour in the onion bhaji it just turned into a gloopy mess in my mouth, biryani sauce has so much oil but still somehow manages to taste watery, crushed poppadoms and watered down chutney and half raw samosas, extremely disappointing as this was from my daughter as a treat for mothers day.

I ordered though just eat today ordinary they are good however now it was just bad the biryani was so watered down that even with the amount of oil that was in it didn't help, the poppadoms were all crushed, the mango chuckny was watered down the samosas were half raw and oilily, the onion bhajis had way too much flour in it so turnt to mush and it was all bone cold when they finally decided to send it 30 minutes late I'm pretty sure they only sent it because I called up to shop to ask where it was.

Ordered our diner was delivered with a dish missing called to explain they then delivered the wrong missing dish and then didn’t give a toss because we paid cash avoid at all costs only out for themselves. If I don’t have money back tonight the whole curry is going through their letterbox tomorrow

ORDERED THE SAME CURRY WE HAVE HAD FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS WITH SHAPLA AND IT WAS DISGUSTING!! NOT EDIBLE. THE MANAGER WAS RUDE, HUNG UP MULTIPLE TIMES, REFUSING REFUND HIS WORDS WERE WE HAVE NO LEGAL OBLIGATION FOR A REFUND ABD WAS ABSOLUTELY VILE

Have ordered here for years I got a chicken tikka masallar it was horrible rang up and had the phone put down on me the chicken was old the sauce was really really sweet would not recommend now to anyone

Purchase my normal curry, arrived and food was terrible, phoned and was met by manager.

Unfortunately I can’t give zero on my review. This is the second time we have tried to order online. Both times it appears that we have an order and Apple Pay gone through. One hour later, no email and no curry. Phoned and told we have no order. Absolutely pathetic service. Don’t bother.

Wow I have never used this takeaway before and I will not again. I use there competitor across the high street and will be going back to them in future. I ordered a chicken tikka biryani, mushroom rice, chicken tikka starter, onion Bhaji, lime pickle, garlic pickle and papadums. I received: A big pot of biryani with 5-6 pieces of chicken the size on my finger nail and was completely bland. Mushroom rice with little flavour Chicken tikka starter actually looked alright, nice size pieces of chicken ( what you would expect in the main dish) unfortunately it has no flavour, completely bland. Onion bhajis, pretty decent to be fair, nice size and actually has some flavour. A buzzard sauce for the biryani that looks, smells and tastes exactly like a tin of smart price vegetable soup 🤔 check the pics. Lime pickle with no texture and little flavour and a tiny amount, the garlic i didn’t try as it’s a new thing for me and judging by the poor experience with most of the rest, I’d rather try from a place that I know is of at least satisfactory standard. I can’t call the restaurant as they are now shut. Biggest waste of £25 I’ve ever experienced

Our first Kashmiri chicken curry order with this takeaway. A very nice curry, best that I have had in a long time. Arrived an hour late but just heated the curry in microwave. We received a text telling us that it was going to be late. The driver could not have been more apologetic. Lovely lot of fruit would order an extra sauce next time, and yes we will be ordering again. Recommend trying them. Thank you

Really bad. Gone down hill from what i remembered it to be. Tasteless food.

Normally I have not one bad word to say about this place but tonight's delivery was crazy. I ordered online to pay with cash. The delivery driver knew I was paying cash but didn't bring any change? Sorry but what delivery driver doesn't bring change when a customer pays cash? So instead of my meal costing me £15.95 it cost me £20. This is not acceptable for a take away who offers delivery to be paid by cash!

I haven’t really had any bad experiences with this place. The food is nice and delivery has always been near enough on time. They are sometimes a little stingy with the filling though. My driver today rang to say he had been waiting outside for a long time, however he didn’t knock or even ring to say he was outside before this call.

I don't like to provide a review without experience of the business. I ordered this evening and I was very surprised how quickly the order arrived considering I'm 6 miles from the store. The young man (Chris) that delivered my order was very polite and even made sure all the order items were included in the delivery. The food was fantastic, compliments to the chef.

Disgusting food. Manager rude. When I try to get my meal sorted so I can actually eat it just get the phone hung up. Horrible horrible horrible. Never use this vile place Would put no star but couldn’t post how awful this place is.

The owner BASH is an expert at what he does, and mindful of great customer service , so consequently you get fabulous, succulent Indian food every time! I recommend Shapla to all my friends. John Boulton (Bolts)

Great food but items regularly missing and delivery is abominable, always 1 ½ late! So order very early or be eating your dinner at bed time!

Ordered at 23.20, at 1am still not arrived, cancelled order through deliveroo.

If I could give this 0 stars believe me I would, I have ordered tonight and it was vile. The order arrived and there was things missing (Which is an occurance) we had called the shop to get what was missing and it took them 30 minutes to deliver the missing items, whilst waiting the 30 minutes we rung to find out where the items were as the curries were getting cold, (already going cold) the woman that answered the phone told us "Put them in the microwave" in utter disbelief and not being able to believe what we have been told the phone was hung up. We waited another 10 minutes and the rest of the order arrived, so we dished up what we could dish up anyways, however when we got to the chicken all of it was pink inside and rubbery, the only safe thing to eat was the bahjis and poppadoms the rest was absolutely disgusting, £40 on an order that got binned. Will never order from this place again.

A few years ago Shapla was excellent. I always loved their food. Sadly my recent meal was far from good. No complaints about the Bombay Potato and Saag Aloo but the Stuffed Paratha had no stuffing whatsoever. I have no idea what was wrong with the chips ... wrong type of potatoes maybe, or under-cooked, but they were inedible. My Tarka dhal was mushy and watery like baby food. Very sad to say that they need to do much better to win me back.

Curry was really nice however my partners curry didn’t turn up, ordered at 7.20pm now at 9.53 still waiting for his curry to turn up chased 3 times keeps saying it’s out for delivery then spoke to manager who said he would arrange this but then put phone down on me. Customer service is appalling my partner now has nothing for dinner

I have been using Shapla for many years, they have a really good diverse menu, everything I have ever had from them was excellent. But I will never use them again, this week I had a dish called Prawn Delight, it cost £9, and it consisted of only 2 prawns, (yes 2), in a sauce. I did call them, to ask if there was a mistake, I was told no. A complete rip off, they should be ashamed, to call this a meal.

The curries are phenomenal and taste was expected to what I am used to.

2nd delivery we've had from Shapla and really gorgeous again, delivery from havant to hayling and still warm definitely our go to Indian for Saturday night treat can't recommend highly enough

Ordered a vegetable Korma with no mushrooms which came as I asked but I also asked for egg fried rice with no onions as my partner is allergic but that one came with the onions still which obviously caused a panic as he cannot eat these. The gentleman over the phone was no help and very blunt so we asked to speak to the manager who was even more rude and made up the excuse of ‘we cannot see the notes as it is too small to read’ which if it is too small to read how come you could make my food fine but not my partners. When we called back to question them on this again (as I was hung up on after speaking about a refund) to which they admitted it was on there but it was just difficult to read. Rude management and would completely avoid if you have any allergy’s as this restaurant clearly couldn’t care less, it’s too much effort for them to read a simple note. Wouldn’t even offer to replace the food we paid for and now can’t eat as they were closing in an hour and a half, baring in mind we live 15-20mins away. Terrible service.

Full of flavour and fast delivery.

Disappointed, waited longer than time given. When arrived it was stone cold. Rice was full of water, like bullets and tasted of perfume. Curry wasn’t very nice, didn’t look or taste like korma. Nann bread had very minimal cheese in. Won’t be ordering again as it all went to waste.

Paid for the food, they updated it saying it was delivered when it wasn't , so we called them at least 8 times no answer , we finally get a call 2 hours after our order saying he had was outside so we go to check and there was no one there, so we call again and they say he was waiting for 20 minutes trying to call me , I didn't recieve any calls and he said there is nothing he could do about it and that we wouldn't be receiving our order. Terrible customer service. ☹

Spent £20 for food to not be delivered. Man on the phone claimed the driver waited outside for 20 minutes and called 3 times. Neither of which happened because I waited outside for 10 minutes when the app I ordered from said it was delivered. I called to ask what will happen and the man said nothing and then hung up. Disgusted, if I were you I wouldn't bother ordering

The meal is always hot and lovely but tinught 5.11.21.,i am not happy as sent wrong order and so far waited two hours for a replacement as been told that they will b back out and to give them the wring order back

Food was 45 minutes late with no update provided. Driver called me to tell me I didn't put the house number on my address and that he'd show me the receipt to prove it. Upon showing me the receipt, I pointed out my house number clearly visible on the address line to which he relied "well it's hard to find" before sulking off. Food was actually pretty tasty but customer service and length of time it took to turn up means we won't be going back, unfortunately.

Fantastic food. Always cooked hot and spicy like we ask for.large portions and plenty of meat or prawns in the dishes.Delivery service very good.Been using this indian takeaway for years now and even after moved still using them.

Stumbled across this hidden gem of a takeaway, while the country was in national lockdown! The Food was so tasty, full of flavour, & a good temperature. (delivery to denmead) Very good value for money! It certainly won't be the last time we order from here..... (pics don't do it justice)

Excellent service. Easy to guide through online ordering which makes it easier to order ahead at a set time. Food arrive 30 minutes before requested but not a problem as we were all starving. Food was amazing and tasted lovely plus very hot.

Vile manager and delivery drivers who speed

Won't be returning here after the phone service I was just provided. I've been here for yrs trouble is I've moved an they thought I was a new customer an was basically told to like it it lump it when I called to complain.. Unbelievable

Ordered at 6:30pm.still waiting at 8:40. Called 3 times to be told the food was out for delivery. Told the man on the phone our situation; 3 hungry kids waiting for dinner, if he would just tell the truth I would go and make the kids omelettes but he kept saying it was out for delivery. Gave up at 8:50 and made omelettes for everyone. Kids so disappointed. It eventually turn up at 9, we were already cooking a meal, so turned the delivery away. Ruin our Saturday night.

Ordered meal for whole family , was told that it would be delivered within the hour , unfortunately they didn’t mention which hour. Had to wait just over two hours to have meal delivered. We cancelled order just before delivery driver arrived , tried to explain to order taker that better communications were needed by them to let customers know what time to expect their food , only to be told to shut up over and over again Needless to say we won’t be using this restaurant again.

ordered 58 pounds worth of food for my mother in laws birthday, when it came they didn’t include our coconut rice, so I called them and they said they would send it out, 30 minutes later I called back for them to tell me they were waiting for me to call back - why they couldn’t call me I don’t know!!! They told me I didn’t order it, I know ordered it because he repeated the order back to me, so they told me another 10-15 minutes, still no delivery so I called them back to be told again I didn’t order it and that the delivery driver still wasn’t back. I told them 45 minutes and the rest of our food is now cold is an unacceptable amount of time to wait for our rice. I told them they had another 10 minutes to get the food to us or I would be calling back, I then got hung up on!!! finally within the 10 minutes we got the delivery and he told me they gave us some poppadoms for an apology, 1 poppodum!!! Is that a joke for an hours wait with cold food!!!! Considering we always order from them they lost our service, complete joke

made an order to be met with uncooperative behaviour as i have not recieved my order, my payment had gone thru and taken from my account on paypal. the woman on the phone insisted she would not make my order because past payment had not been recieved. in regards to that i never recieved the food for past orders hence the cancellation of payment.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Order via just eat, quoted a delivery time. 25 min after delivery time called restaurant, they said they are having troubles with deliveries. Promised free popadoms to make up for the wait. Just eat informed. They said the restaurant had clicked to say it was already delivered! Called at 40 min, told to call just eat if I wanted a refund. I said I'd be leaving an honest review, at this point they exploded in swearing at me over the phone. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. ironically the curry showed up after an hour after the time the told just eat it was delivered. Curry and rice all cold. No popadoms DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE

Always order from here never a problem but this evenings meal, half of the curry was floating in bottom of delivery bag and when I opened container only half the normal amount of chicken inside. Restaurant refused to redeliver which was very disappointing :(

Food wasn't very hot in temperature, the tikka masala tasted more like a corma, very mild. Usually Indian takeaways provide free poppadoms or a free drink but received nothing free in my order. I also spent £30! The mixed starter kebab didn't include lamb like other indian takeaway restaurants. Chips weren't great, not crispy on the outside. Shame really as my first time ordering from you has created a negative impact and I won't be ordering from you again that's for sure sonny jim.

Quite simply the best in the area. I have never been disappointed, the food is superb. His chicken phall is my favourite and if you like a hot curry it's not for the faint hearted. Have had many other dishes too and are always fantastic quality. Occasionally have tried elsewhere for a change but am always disappointed and remind myself never to go anywhere else. Have never had an issue with slow delivery either they are always pretty prompt

Always tasty food . Sometimes delivery can be a bit slow but that is down to drivers not restaurant. Been eating here for over 15+ yrs cannot fault food.

This used to be a very nice Indian take away but recently had a curry from there and it was very runny and not as tasty so won't be going there again.

Popped in whilst changing trains at Havant. Staff very friendly, food was hot, tasty and good value. Would recommend - as a passing bloke did to us when we were outside looking at menu!

I had to phone up twice for my order. In the end I waited over an hour, for the worst food ever.

Best indian place in the area, the staff are so lovely and the prices are good compared to other places, food was on point and so flavorsome, i always order from here and they never let me down, give good discounts here and there too, keep it up :)

goodings food wish it could be cheaper and more competitive 2 over takeaways but good food but has 2 b more competitive in price then they would get more orders

The food was cold, flavorless and late it took over an hour to get here, the delivery driver wanted my change. I've ordered from here before same things happened thought it was a one off and gave them another chance but nothings changed. food and service used to be good about 3 years ago. My advice go somewhere else. Date night ruined.

Best takeaway in the area, and we've tried a few, many of whom are bland or just bad quality. Shapla is consistently fantastic with great customer service and prompt, efficient delivery. And not too pricey, not too cheap but great value.
