Shankey's in City of London, Westminster

Form the aesthetics of the restaurant, to the kind staff, and of course the superb food, this was a truly special place to go for a meal. The food was absolutely sublime and very fresh, with a great selection of drinks also. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and shall be returning soon for another special evening. My only advice would be to get your booking in early as it’s a small restaurant. Thank you to the team for a wonderful evening.

A 10/10 experience across the board. We tried everything on the menu and it was all amazing. The cocktails and service was also phenomenal. Can't wait to go back and tell all my friends to go!

Loved this place! Cosy and friendly with great knowledgeable attentive staff. Sacha and Eoghan, thank you for this little gem! Tried the strangest margarita, Spuds&Butter. Who thought this up?? It’s very relaxing! Then the Carlingford rock oysters, tandoori monkfish, beef short ribs, all delicious. For sharing of course. And really not for sharing. Don’t share your stuffed paratha or the chaat potatoes. Spent twice as long here as we intended to as we wanted to try everything, and left with smiles on our faces. Our first time but definitely not our last 😁

The best dinner I have had out in a VERY long time. Shankeys is SURE to soon become a well known name in the London food scene so get there while they’re still small and able to book! Nostalgic and happy food with a great twist. Cocktail and wine selection is immaculate. Cannot recommend enough!

Incredible cocktails accompanied by fantastic food. Service was 5 stars too. Was here on a Thursday evening and it was packed. Menu is perfect for sharing and the oysters are out of this world. Spuds and butter cocktail also a new favourite.

Fabulous new addition to Well St. We are very local and getting a new gem like is why we love living in Hackney. Eoin at front of house and Sacha on the culinary experience are terrific. They really make the whole experience. The food and cocktails are outstanding. Great atmosphere and ambience also. We are looking forward to our next visit

Shankey's is a perfect corner, full of charm and character, where both the food and the cocktails are an artist's palette of colours and flavours, worthy of the senses!

OMG if you haven’t been to Shankey’s you are missing out on a great treat. From the minute you walk in the door to the warmest Irish welcome from Eoghan at front of house. He mixes amazing cocktails such as his famous ‘Spuds and Butter’ which is delicious. The food is also spectacular prepared by the very talented ‘Sasha’ and helped in the kitchen by ‘Axa’. The service provided by all the staff including the very personable’Freddy’ was the perfect mix for a fantastic night out … 10/10 … will definitely be back soon 😉

Irish-Indian influence: who’d have thought? The Irish in the food is subtle and really makes the cocktails. But a completely different and indeed unique menu of small plates and two sharing platters. Here the Indian influence of flavour but not heat really is good and the spud makes a welcome appearance too. Lovely friendly local vibes: watch the one coowner chef calmly go about his work and enjoy the other, front of house making great cocktails. Sunday lunch was great. I look forward to trying dinner soon.
