Food is really good. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Been a couple of times, food and service is top notch. Best Chinese I've had for a while, and fantastic for this area, will definitely return.

Picked up my order tonight and given the totally wrong dish. Ordered the KING PRAWN GINGER & SPRING ONION with a green chillies. Given a dish with every other vegetable 6 KPS AND NO GINGER OR SPRING ONIONS. Called them BEFORE CLOSING today many times and no answer. The pork ribs are full of fat and cartilage bones. Worst Experience.

Home delivery Ordered, honey glazed ribs,chicken fried rice without sauce, was delivered with gravy,very quick to replace but what they sent to replace was actually just boiled rice with chicken and a few bit of lumpy egg and paid £17 Absolute rip off, don't order from here

Placed an order over an hour ago for two items (some chicken soup and fried rice), waited for it to arrive and then finally got this notification to say they cancelled my order. It’s a Wednesday night and my order isn’t big??

Waited over an hour for delivery and when I phoned the restaurant I got hit with the typical sorry we were busy and we’ve not even started preparing your food. Guy on the phone was 0 help and couldn’t care. Don’t waste your time.

First time in here.It will be the first of many more.Nicest chinese food my friend and I have had in years and it's not far to travel either.Piping hot and so freshly tasting too.Chicken and sweetcorn soup yummy.Chicken chow mein not drowning in sauce with perfectly cooked noodles also.My friends satay was according to her just lovely.I cannot rave anymore about it.This place should be so busy it's a crying shame it's not and the service is top drawer also.10 stars from us.

Asked for a later time due to work commitments. Was told we shut at 10pm you must be away. Plus cash only. Walked in through the door to be greeted by a gentleman hoovering and gave a big sigh because customers arrived. Asked if I could sit at a particular table due to mobility concerns and was put elsewhere. No sooner had I taken the last spoonful of the soup it was take away for washing All in all food was ok, had 2 course meal in 30 mins. Very rushed. Dont understand the attitude of the staff as when we entered the restaurant it was empty ended up we were the only two in the whole restaurant. You would think they would want the custom. A staff member was also drinking alcohol very visibly to us. Continued with the household tasks ie hoovering during the meal. Won't be back, poor service from everyone

Gorgeous food, reasonable priced, especially pre theatre, fab service, so friendly and super clean. Lovely white table cloths and napkins. Much bigger on the inside and suitable for those with mobility issues. I have now been 3 times in the last 2 months, since my first visit. I will return x CASH ONLY, but the coop hole in the wall is across the road if you forget.x

Waited two hours for the food to be delivered - they gave the driver the wrong address, driver said he tried calling me but I had zero missed calls. Missing a part of the order. Didn’t get an apology when I phoned (phoned twice, 1. After an hour and a half wait then 2. To say we were missing food). The salt and chilli chicken was the best I’ve had until I noticed there was hairs in it then my stomach completely went.

Got crispy chicken in peking sauce.. And chicken chow main. And highly recommended. Fresh ingredients.. Gr8 taste and only 30min for delivery👌😎

Food was excellent but we missed lunchtime deal and too early for pre theatre deal. So thought £68 for lunch and 1 beer and 2 soft drinks was expensive. Too expensive for lunch.

Woke at 3am with food poisoning. Woman who served was cheeky and rude, I will use my imagination as to what may have happened. Plus the business only takes cash, clearly evading proper accounts and tax. Don’t ever eat here.

Came here tonight with my partner and I have never been in a restaurant where I have been in and out within 20 minutes. The service was quick I will give them that we ordered a starter and our mains the guy asked us if we wanted our starter first to which we says yes. Well that didn’t happen as the lady came out with our mains first when I says to her about it she looked confused as if she didn’t have a clue what I was talking about and spoken to the guy to which he came and asked us if we wanted to leave the starter which I says it was ok to leave it (disaster all ready ). Got chicken chow main and the chicken wasn’t that great very bland hardly any sauce and noodles where the same . Tasted as if it had been left since earlier today and heated up due to the noodles being very dry, bland and even some of them were burnt . The guy noticed I wasn’t eating it and asked if everything was ok says to him about my food he taken it away and offered something else which I didn’t take due to it being a disaster!!! Wouldn’t recommend at all no wonder our mains came out within 5 minutes from ordering it …… SAYS IT ALL REALLY

Got a take away last night , all went in the bin , it was rotten I would have taken it back but couldn't leave my grandkids , this use to be my favorite but it's went right down hill , the young girl who served me was lovely that was the only good thing about it .

Lovely food usually. We order every week but last Monday they gave me reheated chicken balls 😔 very disappointing. Their pots of sauce are on the small side, so sometimes we buy sauces elsewhere. I would recommend it though as their food is usually really good. I will go back but if they give me reheats again I'm done. As soon as standards drop I usually move on.

This is the best Chinese I have ever had! Visited with my husband for the first time and we did unfortunately arrive very late (9.30pm when the restaurant closes at 10pm). Staff were very accommodating and didn't rush us, we were served straight away and checked on many times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. We had the restaurant to ourselves and will visit again, at a more sensible time in the future.

Definitely must say don't usually do reviews absolutely terrible reheated chilli chips under cooked rice and yesterday curry ....all this for £30 absolutely disgusting would recommend....

Me and my family went out last week and it was perfect. The customer service was fabulous, they had great manners and always had a smile. Definitely recommend for a family night out.

Meal was lovely however I had to wait an eternity for my meal, it was nothing special chicken chop suey , had several members of staff checking on progress ..why the delay. 2 people in the company had finished their meal before I got mine😱. They did give us a complementary round of drinks for 4 ( soft drinks). However it did spoil my experience slightly as those finished had to sit while I ate on. Hopefully that was a one off situation. Although I would say to staff we were a booking of 4 and just as important as a party booking of more. It was quite a special night for us as it was my 60th birthday booked by my father in law that will probably be remembered for wrong reasons...

The meal and experience were great. Food was produced promptly and was delicious. Service was prompt and efficient. We have had many home deliveries but this was the first visit. We most certainly will be back.

Hadnt been to this place since it was the night palace. 8 of us went. Got a great table with space for a pram. Food was excellent. So good ordered a take away the next night. Lovely staff and excellent service. Will be back asap!

The food is really good however they seriously need to heat the place. Gave it a second chance and still freezing. Swapped seats to be near a heater which kept my legs warm but rest of me was cold. Food, service great.

Was a quiet lunchtime, but service was great. The food was omg ,I always judge a Chinese by soups if they can't be bothered the soup will be mmmw ,it was very nice chicken noddle with a lovely taste of toasted sesame . Main was chicken satay , nice early nip and a lovely fried rice portion was great . My Mrs had chicken sweetcorn soup and crispy chicken Cantonese it was lovely as well . 12.50 for two courses. Winner.

Sorry guys, ( trying not to be a Karen here)almost a two hours wait for food delivery, called twice in that time to see when to expect food delivery and told a very vague answer when to expect it . Ended up cancelled order due to wait. Such a shame, we normally eat in or pick up our orders as your food is divine. Will not be doing home delivery, but please try update your delivery system . We go to shanghai nights most Sundays. The food is lovely and the staff are always so nice to my kids who now love going and ask to go often. We always go in last minute and the staff always manage to accommodate us. Really friendly and lovely food cannot recommend it enough.

The rating would have been higher but for one significant niggle. We have visited twice, the service was welcoming, friendly and efficient, the food was nicely presented, it was hot, the portion sizes were great for us and the food was very nice. The first time we visited we were told the ‘Card Machine’ wasn't working so you could only take cash payments. I thought that's unfortunate, but I had enough cash to pay. The second time we went, a couple of weeks later, we were told again it was Cash Only because again there was a problem with the card machine, I didn't want to disappoint my guest, so I went to a nearby cash machine to withdraw cash We would like to return, but not if it's a ‘Cash Only’ business, for reasons I'm happy to explain if you require. Has your card machine been fixed, are you accepting Debit and Credit Card payments yet?

Just got the meal deal from here tonight got ribs they where really fatty and got chicken curry fired rice and the curry sauce tasted burnt did not eat a thing waste of money

First time we've been in since changing to Shanghai Nights. Went on New Year's Night. The restaurant was busy which was really good to see and has been refurbished to a high standard. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food we ordered was excellent. We will definitely be back so keep up the high standard Shanghai Nights. In my opinion the area has been lacking a nice Restaurant with good Chinese food for a long time and it looks like the current owners have definitely got it right. Looking forward to my next visit. 👌👌👌

Ordered a takeaway for the family after waiting 40 minutes for delivery , came minus a chicken curry fried rice . Called to advise missing meal, was advised it would be added to next order which wasn’t acceptable. Went in to restaurant to collect missing meal , as was advised delivery would be a couple of hours to rectify mistake , and after another 20 minute wait eventually got food . Food was nice but service was well below par , completely defeated purpose of take away .

Love this restaurant , staff are friendly make you feel very welcome and the food is fantastic. Restaurant has had a revamp clean n fresh comfortable. I give this restaurant 5/5 👍🏼

Got a delivery tonight, ordered the salt n chilli chicken fried rice. Didn't taste anything at all like salt n chilli due to the gravy that the chicken was in, also wasn't much if the chicken either, the tub was filled mainly with rice. Ordered a side portion of curry sauce and it was very fragrant and had an almost sweet after taste. I'll be sticking to my usual Chinese from now on. Wouldn't recommend at all, also quite pricey for what it is.
