Premier Inn Glasgow East hotel in Glasgow City

Dirty smelly room. Notified receptionist who didn’t seem to care less. The room did not get serviced and had to remove all our own rubbish and get more bin liners from reception. Mouldy curtains in room, someone had shaved in the bathroom and there was literally hair all over so obviously the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and the carpet not vacuumed. Was told someone is supposed to check the rooms after being cleaned but told they must have been too busy to check! I will never stay with any Premier Inn again and would not recommend to anyone.

Easy location to access from the motorway, though a little more signposting (once you've exited) and trying to find the hotel parking/entrance couldn't hurt. But happily far enough removed / insulated by tree line that noise from the carriageway wasn't really noticeable. We were checked in by Darci who was really helpful and friendly. There was a queue of other similarly timed arrivals but we were not kept waiting long at all. Good signage regarding validating car reg for parking and check out processes etc. Nice to have the beefeater next door for food on site. Beds comfy and well made up (including the kids sofa bed). Bathroom was looking a little worn (scuffs, chips, minor water damage etc.) and could use a touch up really, but perfectly usable. Slightly annoying high pitched squeak/whistle constantly came through the bathroom extractor fan in our room too, audible in the bedroom even with the door fully shut. I still managed to sleep though. I've not been put off from returning next time we are visiting family and need somewhere nearby to stop over.

My go to hotel when working in Glasgow. Good hotel, good staff with great food from the Beefeater

Room did what it said on tin it was tidy enough room could do with a freshening up as quite dull especially lighting on the plus side and more importantly the mattress was excellent which allowed a good sleep. Staff super friendly far more pleasant than previous staff at another premier inn.

Not too close to Glasgow centre so reasonable price. Usual excellent rooms and service.

The Hotel is a joke, The Manager Cloe is a joke, can’t sort a problem, The Area Manager Carlyis the worst of all, promises to call you but never does. This hotel owes my group over £600 for breakfasts the hotel cancelled, they keep blaming Head office, so I called there head office in front of both Cole and Carly and there head office told them to get it sorted a month ago, this is after waiting 4 months. To all who booked this hotel please use a credit card because at least you may have back up

Place was okay. Rooms are fine. Toilet had empty empty shower gel bottle. No room service. You would have to book a table in advance otherwise won't b accomodated. No data signals in the hotel , free wifi would switch off every now and then, even the premium wifi wouldnt stream.

Smelt really clean on arrival friday evening, bed comfortable, room clean apart from dusty lampshades by bed. Towel rail, shower piping and electric heater rusty. Next day corridors didn't smell clean but stuffy and smelly. Could do with air freshener. Restaurant had limited staff saturday night so couldn't open the whole restaurant.

Clean rooms and a good spot just off the motorway near Glasgow. Great service at breakfast. The usual filling Premier Inn breakfast.

Typical PI room. Clean, quiet and functional. Staff were helpful and pleasant, and the facility was clean and well kept. Only downside was no air conditioning which would be a problem if the night was warm. As with all PI's , some of these heating units in their rooms can be quite noisy when they cool down (loud clicking noise) The biggest problem though is its location! The hotel is situated next to a major road / motorway junction, and not even typical PI soundproofing can mask some of the traffic noise if you're allocated a room next to the road and some idiot with a loud car comes racing by in the evening. The food though is very, very goof from the attached beefeater next door. Mixed Grill was exceptional for the evening meal. Overall, I would recommend it.

I booked Premier Inn cooked breakfast two days for my family 2 adults and 2 kids , and they just can provide the Continental breakfast which is not included any hot food in the first day. I sent the email ask for refund for the first day breakfast. And they replied that because I got kid free breakfast, so they can 't do the refund. I don't think this is my fault , they didn't provide the service which I booked and, so they broke the agreement, I'm quite disappointed about that.

The staff are lovely! No issues finding the hotel, the attached Beefeater is good (limited menu) Breakfast is lovely

I like premier inn use them alot for work shame the food was very dry ribs wings chicken breast for the money could be better considering you are closing restaurants

Really friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy sleep.

The hotel wasn’t big and the rooms were small, the bathroom floor was soggy when we came in but they provided a fan and we had a good sleep

Bed was comfortable and bathroom was decent. Carpets and curtains had loads of dust and left over food. The room requires massive amount of vacuuming, it was disgusting. Beefeater was great!!!

Room was a wee bit tired, but the handy location and excellent staff make up for small shortcomings.

We have stayed here a few times. The rooms and bathroom in this particular premier inn are worn and tired, more like a cheaper Travel Lodge! The food in the Beefeater was very good I have to say tho.

Stayed here as it was outside of the City. Room was fine and receptionist (Kaitlyn) was very friendly, polite & courteous. Would use again.

Perfect stay, staff so friendly & helpful, nothing was a bother. Great location just off the motorway, often meet friends here when I am passing through.

We arrived on a dark, wet night and it wasn't obvious where the reception entrance was as the outside light was on a sensor. We received a very warm welcome though and it's conveniently located just off the motorway. The rooms were a little dated and the bathroom looked tired with peeling paint but the bed, as always, was comfy. I'd pass on the breakfast next time as there were no beans, the sausages were tough, the coffee was rough and not a great selection of cereals.

Stopped off here on the way to Aberdeen, ordered a takeaway and front desk (Stacey) gave us plates and cutlery. She also gave excellent service and came to the room to alert me that my car alarm was going off. Thank you for all your help Stacey :)

Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Food is typical Beafeater, nothing brilliant but all decent.

Stayed here for three weekends, very comfortable, very polite and friendly staff, would definitely recommend.

I always use this premier travel lodge when up in Glasgow it's very friendly great staff very clean so it ticks all the boxes

All the staff are really welcoming and friendly, the food and drinks were all nice and our family room was nice and clean. Special mention to Christine, Janet, Debbie, Linda & Shelley for going above and beyond for our stay. We will certainly be back

Was in for breakfast this morning staff,friendly nice welcome, had all you can eat breakfast sorry to say the food was tasteless sausages no flavour hashbrowns the same bacon also no blackpudding,coffee not the best I've had had, poached eggs one runny one hard was disappointed by the whole thing,a let down 😔😔😔.

Repeat customer at this hotel, rooms are nothing special but comfortable and nothing more than what’s needed in a hotel room. But the 5* service is what keeps me coming back, Christine behind the desk is always a pleasure and would bend over backwards to make sure customers are looked after, cleaning staff also no task to small. A lot is said for service with a smile and to be made to feel more than just a customer, hence why I return time and time again. Thanks to all involved will see you again very soon

Rooms and service all good. Pub next door unexpectedly closed, but the pub a short walk down the road was spot on.

The shower was very poor ..ok.. It was the worst ever after a long day at removal and the bathroom door didn't shut..we got at tge hotel and the restaurant had a gas leak..do no dinner and no breakfast Not looking good

Staff excellent ! Location very good. Rooms and the hotel in general are looking "tired". The biggest issue with this hotel is the phone signal and the WIFI. Do not visit if you have any need to use the WIFI as it is terrible and do not pay for the Ultimate wifi as that does not work either. The staff even confirmed that they have to hold their phones in the air to try and get a signal. I left a day early as I needed to have access to the internet.

Got a parking ticket!! Free parking but the staff at the front desk didn't tell us to validate parking with them, even though it was obvious that we arrived by car. Very annoying. Bit of an old hotel too.

Great and easy check in, great location on all the major routes to and from Glasgow and Edinburgh, staff are all really friendly and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

Spotless large rooms. Shower was amazing. Staff really helpful and genuine. Plenty of free parking. Easy to find. Lovely restaurant attached.

Awful. Room stank of damp. Complained but apparently they had no rooms spare. We arrived too late to find somewhere else. Kept up from 2am to 4.30am by a man in the car park only 4' away from our window, having what seemed like a psychotic episode, 5 police cars attended. All very scary. Grumpy staff at breakfast, grubby chairs & lacklustre breakfast. All in all a total disaster. I had a long drive ahead of me & was definitely not rested. No apology.

Fittings are getting a bit tired, but not bad enough to spoil my stay. Be very careful to book your car into the carpark, nearly got an expensive parking bill.

Clean quiet hotel on the outskirts of Glasgow - 15 minutes drive from the city centre - plenty of parking spaces available - perfect if you have a car and visiting Glasgow

Room had a musky damp smell on arrival. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

I stay in MANY Premier Inn's nationally, this one needs modernising and redecorating, rooms smell stale, look tired and bathroom had some black mould in the shower area ceiling and round the bath. Although the staff were very pleasant, the room was a bit of a letdown.

The staff at both the premier inn and the black bear beefeater are super helpful and friendly. Can't do enough for you. Great location too. Delicious food at the beefeater. The 2 ladies who served is for our evening meal and breakfast are great ambassadors of your company. Thank you for a great stopover

Restaurant staff great, hotel staff were a little grumpy. Rooms are clean but basic

The best part is the familiarity. You always know what to expect when you stay with Premier Inn. The staff were great here, even with late check-ins. They include buffet breakfasts, which is a sneaky treat whilst away from home and sets you up for the day.

Great Premier just of the M74/73/8. Very accessible. Not new but comfortable.

Does what it says on the tin. Friendly efficient staff. Book early at this Premier Inn, as the fire service have a regular training course booking (maybe 20-30 fire fighters) throughout the year here that fill up the rooms quickly / regularly.

Food good value but the service was terrible. Three staff sitting down and talking when we were waiting for out table to be cleared to order our dessert.

Terrible experience. The room was extremely dirty and dusty. Mould on the windows and around the carpet on the ceiling. The curtain was covered back and front with dust and cobwebs with a dead spider which looks months old. Under the bed was a sheet of dust untouched in weeks or months. Dust and cobwebs above the pillows on ceiling (which a member of staff said ‘wasn’t that bad’ I had booked for 3 nights on business and only stayed 1 night before leaving the hotel. I asked them on day 2 to clean the room again. When I got back they had hoovered under the bed but all the cobwebs and dust on curtains around walls etc was still there. On the mattress protector I found what looks like blood stains also. The hotel is very tired and dated and clearly not up to standards on cleaning. I would avoid at all costs. Plus side was the restaurant next door and the location.

It was very basic but clean and tidy

Very handy for motorway and only 15 mins drive into centre of Glasgow. Classic Premier Inn. Lovely reception staff. Beefeater warm and welcoming with nice plain food and drinks reasonably priced. Spotlessly clean with ample parking.

Road noise bad coming through window air vents and bathroom extractor

Not to bad of a stay. Standard Premier in. Quality. Only down side is the bathroom was full of mould.

Looked okay from outside but not at all welcoming, at least put on a fake smile even if you don’t like your job!! Stayed 3 nights here but room was horrendous. Mouldy walls near window. Flat mattress with damaged springs. Don’t clean your room or give new towels. Squeaky floorboards. Appalling service overall to be honest. Just needed a good night sleep as we were out first thing in the morning everyday and coming back late for 3 nights but I was up all night, just could not get a good nights sleep and the state of the beds are awful and not comfortable at all. Oh and do not stay in room 1A because of the mouldy walls, absolutely disgusting!!🤢 especially if you have a child very unhygienic to say the least. Definitely do not recommend staying here. Think I’ll stick to a more modern city centre hotel in all honesty.

One of the worst, very tired and dirty. Damp smelling room the window was open on arrival!!! Window sill hanging off, light fittings broken, mould in the bathroom and rusty towel rail leaving marks on the towels are just a few points. Rooms located at the rear of the hotel do get a lot of noise from the road especially if you open to window to get rid of the damp smell. I can't understand why the rooms are not cleaned each day especially when they are so dirty. Staff are helpful and friendly. The whole place needs gutting and sorting out.

This premier Inn hotel was okay. Decent size rooms, opening windows for fresh air but as I have traveled quite a bit with numerous hotels from premier Inn I think this one could do with a little updating. Shops aren't too far but you would definitely need transport to get to one as the hotel is just next to the motorway.bstaff were nice and welcoming as usual with premier Inn. Reasonably priced comparing it to other hotels in the area. Good for a quick stay

Really dirty rooms, dust and cobwebs everywhere! Remote was filthy and the curtains had a thick layer of dust along with the fan. No air con so the fan would've been nice but it had a think layer of dust so didn't feel like turning it on.

We booked a cheap, family room for £50 and included breakfast for two adults with the kids eating free for £20. It was exactly as is expected it would be for the price and the location was perfect for breaking up our journey. However, what really made it was the reception staff. My eldest daughter was sick during the night. The night staff was really on the ball and helpful, and the morning staff concerned about her well-being and more than happy to help with my requests.

Lovely little hotel and restaurant, slightly dated and could do with a uplift, staff very polite and helpful. They do charity gifts to support community groups.. Phone signal is a massive issue with 02 and it's carrier providers Giffgaff etc, no signal or limited with average of 0.5 mb download this also affects BT mobile who uses EE networks WiFi is overloaded and does not connect or wotk

Premier inns are basically all the same. This one is nice enough, plenty of parking and easy access to the motorway. Only let down is the rooms are a little basic, not having any usb or hdmi ports in the room like some of the upgraded Premier inns I have been to

Clean rooms great bed, great sleep

Room is hollow and you can constantly hear your next door walking around to the point of your tv and bed shaking, we’ve had this for 3 days until 12am every night. Mouldy bathroom, not a little bit either due to the fan not working in there! When we came in and turned the lights on, only one worked after 1 minute! Lights on the mirror only half work. Tv signal is shocking! One of the kids beds was a camping bed so whenever he moved he thought it would collapse. Went for breakfast and they had sold out of some things at 8am. We’ve complained each time but what can you do if someone is walking around, just really cheap floors and walls! The staff are great here to be fair it’s just the hotel is so run down it just needs to be rebuilt! Radiators are rusty. The double bed is broken, it’s like it’s had something/someone too heavy on it and it’s given way. I’d say the one star is just because the staff which are friendly and are trying their best.

I stay a in a lot of Premier Inns and this was one of the better ones. Just stayed the x1 night but found it to be very clean and had everything I needed for a quick stopover. The staff were exceptional in both the Inn and the attached Black Bear pub. Arrived late, a quick book in and straight next door for some food. Every time I passed reception, I was always greeted with the best of genuine smiles and felt very welcomed. The room was quiet and I slept well before checking out very early. Would stay again.

Defective lamp in room. Walls between rooms rather thin and noise travelled. Staff friendly enough.
