My favourite Chinese takeaway and chips shop in Perth. Always excellent food. Just Eat can be used. Also got own drivers for delivering and van phone and collect orders. Excellent.

Avoid. Order was more than 2 hours late and they have the gall to charge £7 for delivery. Didn't offer any discount or compensation and were extremely rude.

Shame of you!!!!We waited for delivery about 3 hours. We called 3 times and the lady liyed all the time with different story. Never again !!!!!

Extremily bad customer service, the staff member i spoke with on the phone was very rude and aggressive. Over priced for the poor quality of food that arrived. Order was incorect on delivery. Shocking that there are places like this in buisness, I would think by the poor service they wont be open for long. Defiently would not be going back and would advise others to eat elsewhere

Delivery was on time, but it would have better if it never arrived. The food quality was absolutely shocking, from the simplest of prawn crackers tasting like dirty old oil to the roast pork which was at best questionably even meat. Wish had read previous reviews as would have stayed well clear. The chow mein was in a greasy soup like gravy, the noodles had the texture of soggy twigs, the satay meat was grey, the chicken both hard and chewy. £150 spent and then had the cheek to ask for an extra £3.50 delivery fee on top of the fee already on by just eat made it no easier to swallow.

15 of us just ordered a big takeaway from this place and I can honestly say it was the worst food we’ve ever had and we all feel physically sick. First off they called after placing the order and asked for another £3.50 for delivery which was weird as they can edit this on justeat but we’re up from Glasgow and couldn’t find another chinese in the area so accepted. Firstly the noodles were slimy and disgusting. The chicken balls were over cooked and flavourless. The chow mein was filled with a weird gravy/curry sauce that tasted horrid. The rice was chewy, satay horrid, ribs overdone. Honestly didn’t even taste like a Chinese. The worst of all was the prawn cracker, I spat it out and almost threw up. It tasted like a dirty oven. Chips were chippy chips and also horrid. There wasn’t one nice thing from the entire order which came too around £150. Wish we looked at the just eat reviews first as they all said the same thing. AVOID!

Good food was a slight issue, but they fixed it no problem

I order chop suey, chips and satay sticks, the only think edible was chips bit they were cold and delivery took just under 3 hours, if I could give zero stars I would.

Disgusting food ordered two chow mein and one chicken fried rice, cost £37!!! The rice was burnt and the chow mein was absolutely disgusting and we couldn’t eat it. Please do not waste your money it’s horrible.

Worst food ever and when I called to complain about my order I was basically told nobody ever complains about their food...and was told to basically order something different in future!!! Low quality verging on inedible. I made the huge mistake of ordering a dish with king prawns in. They were like leather and tasted like they were out of date. All the other dishes we got were also disgusting, the salt and pepper chicken was literally frozen chicken dippers with onions and at around 10 pounds for a main it is overpriced to the extreme. Ontop of all that we got charged another 4 pounds at the door for delivery. So the driver didnt get their tip. i would recommend anyone to use literally any other Chinese takeaway in Perth. Don't waste your money.

Disgusting. We ordered fish supper and a tub of curry with my sister had beef chow mein. The fish was like leather I couldn't even bit through the batter. Curry sauce was lumpy... The chips were good. The chow mein was lumpy mushy reheated garbage and then when we ogioed they ahd the cheek to tell us we had complained before!!! MAKE DECENT FOOD DOR THE MONEY UIU DHARGW AND WE WON'T COMPLAIN. Genuinely I would advise to never use this place as you will end up ill. DISGUSTING

Over-priced, low quality food. Forgot this is the place that I got from before and it was horrible. I'm pretty sure it used to be good years ago but won't be ordering again.

The chicken fry rice was awful in taste, texture and appearance, it also was overloaded with soy sauce. Never going to order from here again.

Treated my family to a Takeaway night, 6 of us in total and all chucked the food away it was rotten I phoned to complain where the owner was very aggressive towards me. I would NOT recommend this place should be shut down after reading so many bad reviews.

WORST TAKEAWAY WE'VE EVER HAD. Not exaggerating, hands down. Ordered on JustEast, and waited nearly 2 hours, and we still had to pay the delivery driver extra money at the door???? The food was bland, chips were mushy AND burnt (how does that even happen?) The chicken fried rice tasted like nothing and was a weird consistency. Prawn crackers were stale, obviously been left out for some time. We binned it, and we're not ones to waste food we've spent money on. £41 we'll never get back!

Food was so bad, worst takeaway I've ever had in Perth. Called to complain and the guy on the phone was so rude, probably due to the high volume of complaints. He said I was barred from ordering again. As if I would ever order again!!!!!! Avoid, food terrible and customer service even worse.

Spent £45 for it all to have a horrible taste everything tasted the same and disgusting normally get from chippy section and is ok but this was vile. Was told to order from a different takeaway next time. Ragin is understatement

I can't speak for how the restaurant itself is as we ordered takeout, but the food was terrible. It arrived very quickly, which I now realise is probably because it was old food that wasn't made to order. I'm not exaggerating when I say the noodles smelled and tasted like wet, decomposing grass. The rice wasn't much better and the chicken tasted old and hard. We also ordered a smoked sausage for £3 which was the size of a chipolata. Awful. We won't be ordering from here again.

I telephoned ahead to make sure they would deliver to my area. They confirmed they would and mentioned nothing about a charge. When then driver was on his way (several hours later) the restaurant called to say it would be an extra £6. I said that would have been ok had they mentioned it when I called. They recalled their driver as I refused to be held ransom.Unprofessional and condescending on the phone. Crap.

First time ordering from here. Ordered via just eat, paid for delivery. Nowhere when ordering did it state that the delivery charge was for Perth only. When the driver arrived they demanded additional money before we could get the food. Wouldn't have minded if it was mentioned when ordering, but it didn't. Phoned up and had a riveting conversation with what I can only imagine was a woman's last 2 brain cells.

If i could I would rate 0 stars. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Food was warm but completely flavourless. Main issue was a plastic shard found in the prawn crackers. Just eat have refused to refund. Shocking service.

Regularly get food from here, but won't be doing so again. Salt and pepper chicken, with curry sauce, including delivery is over £14 Got half the chicken you'd normally get and it was tasteless. £6 would have been too much for this below standard delivery. Given them every chance, last 3 deliveries were less than average and now getting 1/3 of a tub full. Ridiculous place to buy food from when there's much better options available

Our favourite Chinese takeaway in Perth (New diamond) is closed on a Monday so we decided to order from here. Ordered 3x meals to collect - the sides being 2x fried rice and 1x chips, received all 3x meals with only 1x chips and no rice. Phoned to say our rice was missing from the order and was asked to come back down to collect to which we said no we weren’t driving all the way back and wanted it delivered, was told this would be at least 20 mins so asked for either a partial refund or fresh food along with the rice as it would be cold by then, was told no we are not getting a refund and the lady said to “heat our food in the microwave for 1 minute and it will be fine” if I wanted a microwave meal I would’ve bought one from Tesco! We said we did not want reheated Chinese and that we either wanted a refund or fresh food or else we would be bringing all the food back for a refund and will order from somewhere else. The lady then put us on hold and when she came back on the phone she said the driver would be with us in 5 minutes, so we gave up trying and accepted the offer, as 5 minutes was reasonable and the food wouldn’t be as cold, but as we were not getting fresh meals we requested to at least be given fresh chips to which she agreed. She then tried to hang up the phone without even asking our address. 15 minutes later we were still waiting for our rice and fresh chips, which eventually arrived after just over 20 minutes of coming off the phone. Rice was burnt and as expected we did end up having to reheat all of our food. Food did have a nice taste and was good size portions but not worth the wait. Will not be ordering again due to the terrible service.

Worst every had chicken was not chicken I work chinese for ten year that was not chicken prawn craker was made dirty oil fried rice suppose be made boiled rice the gravy browning mix throw with salt tell u now that been sitting for weeks as so dark should be shut down

Ordered on just eat with £3 delivery charge and they called me asking for a further £2. Not my problem if I pay through just eat I expect that amount. Ordered from here last night took two hours for delivery when I called to ask where it was the first time the woman that answered the phone was very rude clearly didn’t care and fobbed me off before hanging up on me with driver is on his way .. 30 mins later still no delivery called again and same woman was very rude again talked over me told me traffic was horrendous when I knew fine well it wasn’t eventually the delivery arrived and the delivery lady was lovely and very apologetic and advised me that the order had just been made and sent out .. so if I hadn’t called again I’d still have been waiting on the food… food was nice but customer service and delivery time atrocious!

Disgusting. Couldn't eat it. Congealed thick gelatinous sauces. Sauce thickening and turning to jelly on the plate. Bland food. Smelled dirty - not fresh. The worst example of Chinese food I have ever experienced. I took a chance on them as I normally go next door which is a little too expensive imo. Big Mistake! Alarm bells should have been ringing when I saw the staff ordering in a McDonald's while I waited for my food. Even he didn't want to eat the food from here! Absolutely vile. Avoid this place.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, the year of the Ox.... We had a chinese feast to celebrate the occassion. We ordered from the Shanghai Chinese Takeaway, a variety of different dishes to try. King prawns with garlic, mushrooms and onions, beef with green bell peppers in a delicious blackbean sauce and shredded chicken with peppers and chilli in an aromatic spicy tomato sauce. All dishes were served with fried rice and accompanied with prawn crackers. A good way to be part of the celebrations from the other side of the world during lockdown. All the dishes were delicious and tasty and enjoyed by us all. I would have liked more sauce with the shredded chicken, if there was it would have been a 5 star rating. Delivery was quick.

Ordered a take away which arrived after 2.5 hours of waiting. Was lied to numerous times by the lady on the phone about my order being ready. The food arrived extremely late, cold. The restaurant have taken no responsibility for their appalling service.

With it being a Saturday night and not being able to din out at present due to semi shielding again, we decided to order in some Chinese food to eat for a change. Ordered on the "Just Eat" app which was quick and easy to do. Decided to try the Shanghai Chinese Takeaway because have only tried fish and chips from the takeaway before and not any of the chinese dishes. Three dishes were ordered, Schezuan Beef with fried rice, Schezuan Vegetables with friend rice and lastly I ordered for myself, mushroom and onion curry with fried rice. From ordering to delivery it was quick, the food was hot when delivered. Although I did not try any of the Schezuan dishes, my daughter and friend found them tasty and delicious. My curry on the other hand was a bit mediocre and not that tasty which was disappointing. The free prawn crackers were a nice touch. So I have taken all of the above into account and because of the curry I had, it was reflected in the score. I would try again but a different dish.

Ordered through just eat, placed order at 5pm for 8pm delivery. Delivery was very late, I did call the shanghai and spoke with the manager. Totally wasting my time as he was no help. I wanted a refund and to cancel my order, he said he couldn't and that I should contact just eat. I also said that they could have called to say that the order is late. I was informed that they do not have my number. Nonsense as when I order from justeat I always make sure my number is available. Sadly on this occasion not great service. Food was almost an hour late, this is not acceptable especially when I ordered at 5pm and got deliver at 8.50pm. Totally unacceptable.

Absolutely disgusting, food was inedible, should be ashamed to sell that to anyone, food had to go in the bin, swimming in grease, chewy inedible prawn crackers, soggy,greasy chips, tough spare ribs that were swimming in a toxic looking sauce and most worryingly cheap cubed chicken that was grey and uncooked. Horrible food when we ordered months back. Recently had an accident involving one of their delivery drivers, he drove off without exchanging details. Finally caught up with him, he became aggressive and starting shouting and swearing at me. He blamed me for the accident and then swerved towards me as he drove off. I went to the restaurant to advise of the incident and to see if I could get any details and the owner/person in charge that evening got aggressive towards me and accused me of lying. Turns out the driver isn't insured to deliver food either... Police have been informed. Horrible food and staff.

Late delivery of cold, congealing food from a rude delivery driver who failed to stop after a road accident. Equally ignorant restaurant staff who ignored complaints about food and service. Zero customer service & absolutely no Covid measures in force back of house. Avoid at all costs.

Just bought a takeaway here online from Just Eat. Made an account, ordered online, selected my delivery address and paid by card. Driver arrives saying I did not pay enough delivery. Phoned Shanghai to complain and ask why. Got passed to the manager for him to say that I need to read the website and if I did I would of found out I had to select delivery area as I had been charged for the incorrect cheapest. There was no option to do this and the manager then became aggressive and called me ignorant. I then tried to make the payment and he hung up. I work in customer service and if I had acted like this I would be fired. Food is okay to mediocre but I will never spend a single penny here again.

Awful service! Food ordered at 4.30pm for 6pm delivery, turned up at 7.05pm after rude staff on phone. Never ever ordering from them again! Abysmal and no excuse!! Food spewing out of packaging when they did bother to deliver it!!

Mal movimiento, la comida era insípida y lúgubre, el curry era como salsa con curry en polvo, ¡las galletas de gambas estaban rancias! En general, desagradable, desperdiciamos 36 en comida para dos, ya que era nuestro aniversario y, obviamente, no podemos comer fuera en este momento. Ordered food, phoned after an hour wondering where it was, took another half hour, said I wasn't happy with the wait, driver spoke with shop, gave me the food anyway and then left without payment (I felt this was just recompense for taking twice the quoted time for delivery). Scroll on a month, phonecall from shop demanding money or was as going to call police, have me blacklisted and wasn't welcome to order from shop anymore.

Hola, suelo ordenar desde aquí y no tengo problemas pero en esta ocasión lo hice. Hice un pedido pequeño para una persona a las 7 pm y me dijeron que esperara la entrega a las 8: 20 pm. Eran las 20:40 y la comida no estaba aquí. Entré en la aplicación Just Eat y dijo que mi pedido fue entregado. Sabía que esto no era cierto, así que lo marqué porque mi pedido no estaba aquí y recibí un mensaje de texto del restaurante que me decía que mi pedido se retrasaba y que lo esperaba para las 9:20 p.m. Se convirtieron en las 9:20 pm y no había señales. Entré a la aplicación nuevamente y solicité un reembolso parcial, pero esto fue denegado. Mi comida decidió llegar a las 9: 40 pm. La comida es buena, pero no está contenta de cómo una comida pequeña tomó casi tres horas. Debido a esto, no volveremos a realizar pedidos desde aquí pronto.

Después de pedir comida de este chino, me decepcionó enormemente no solo la comida, sino también la horrible, muy poco profesional y discutible actitud del gerente. La comida estaba fría, rancia, empapada, masticable y lloviznando con grasa. . . . absolutamente vil y horrible. Esperamos una hora para que llegara la comida que esperábamos, pero el estándar de la comida estaba por debajo de cero. . . . se mezclaba y enfermaba. . . . fue peor chino que he probado en mi vida. Para empeorar las cosas cuando llamé al restaurante para quejarme, el gerente no mostró arrepentimiento, disculpas y se negó a ofrecer ningún tipo de reembolso ya que habíamos comido algo. . . a pesar de decirle que muchas cosas fueron a la basura. . . Le ofrecí sacarlo de mi papelera si no lo creía. El gerente era muy discutidor y muy poco profesional y no se preocupaba por sus clientes. Creo que su trato y relación con el cliente es uno de los peores que he encontrado. Lo único peor que la comida fue este gerente. . . . experiencia espantosa y horrible que realmente me ha molestado. Recomiendo encarecidamente evitar este lugar ya que la comida es horrible y el servicio que recibes del gerente era basura absoluta. Si quieres malgastar dinero. . . Esto se coloca para usted. Si quieres comida fría, empapada, rancia y desagradable, este es el lugar para ti. Si desea recibir un servicio completo de basura de un gerente discutidor, este es definitivamente el establecimiento de gama baja para usted.

Had a takeaway from this place. The food was awful. Cold chips that was black and green the battered sweet and sour chicken had been fried that many times it was nearly black and very hard it would not break I'm disgusted with this food and hoping that the environmental people go in and check this place out

I don’t know what the bad reviews are on about! Delivered quickly, lovely hot food at a great price! Couldn’t recommend more. The salt & pepper chicken was out of this world! Also got to experience a deep fried double decker which was delicious.

Stone cold food the first time round which was returned and refuned with Irish Republic coins that haven't been legally tender for almost two decades and called a liar by the owners and challed to a fight by the fat assistant . I am a fully qualified three rosstte and one Michellin star trained chef and fully understand you get what you pay for but this place is a total rip off S##t whole that they don't even sell you terrible food even close to room temperature avoid at all costs the restaurants a stone's throw away are far better for take away food.

The worst fish supper I have ever had. Soggy, undercooked batter on the highly dubious fish and re-heated chips - revolting. Only went there beacuse the one I usually go to was closed but lesson learned. Never again.

Shanghai Chinese is horrible ordered tonight and the beef chowmein came and was floating in gravy and chicken not cooked still pink!. Chicken curry was tasteless and watery!. When we rang up to make a complaint they where nothing but rude ( definitely need people skills) I well be posting this in the local paper , all social media etc. I wouldn't even give this food to my dog never mind a person, I definitely would not recommend this chinese to anyone if you ask me I would push to get this place closed down ( I definitely well be getting food inspectors to come and check this place out) what really makes me laugh is there is so many people making complaints and Shanghai Chinese doesn't care!! To be honest daylight robbery and absolutely a decrease should definitely be a shamed and embarrassed to be letting food that horrible leave the shop! I had to give this place a star but if it was my choice I definitely wouldn't be giving it a star!! I well be taking further action on Shanghai. Meant to be chicken fried rice. Burnt and the chicken was disgusting it either was not chicken or well past date. Staff are rude and ignorant! Won't be back.

Si la comida para llevar hiciera un simple inventario, verían que nunca recibí mis dos latas de Fanta. Estoy lívido Asqueroso gerente y servicio asqueroso.
