Had a meal as a home delivery, on time and food great

Favourite Chinese restaurant in Po earth. Very good food and really good service. Nice atmosphere. Been a regular customer for 30 years.

food was disgusting and tasteless. rice was overcooked, sweet and sour sauce was like pink water, chips were soggy and just covered in grease, the chicken balls were just absolutely vile🤢 £40 wasted. my kids wouldn't even eat it nor my dogs and thats saying something!

I've had chippy food before from here and it was alright but sorry to say I would not recommend chow mein! I ordered vegetable Singapore chow mein and got egg instead or vermicelli noodles, very few vegetables and it tasted of nothing but salt. My partner orded special chow mein and it had more veggies than mine did but tasted just as salty and of nothing else. Peking sauce with the ribs was quite nice and that mixed in with the noodles made it just about edible.

Thought I’d try here for a change but what a bad decision that was, honestly this is one of the worst Chinese meals I have ever had, far too salty and the “chicken” was like mushy fish!! Disgusting

Since I was a child, Jade place has always been brilliant. Now 41 years old, and even living outside the centre they deliver. If you want a good Chinese, these are your guys .

We have been for our take away Indian meal twice and I cannot fault the food at all. It was very plentiful in portion size for the 2 of us to share a meal. It’s absolutely delicious. We come up to Perth for the occasional Weekend break to Noah’s ark caravan park for the lodges, and we have a takeaway meal. Freshly made and too notch food. You need to try it to believe it. Ordered a few things from here one night. The person on the fone took the order and repeated it back. When it arrived an item was missing. Phoned back up but was told I would have to pay for said item as I hadn't ordered it! Even though it was their fault.Was told it would arrive in 5 minutes. When it hadn't arrived by 16 minutes I phoned back up for a 3rd time and said I wanted my money back for this item as it was to go along with other dishes which by now we're stone cold and I was wanting refunded for them too. Got a text saying the refund would be in my account in 3-5 days. 3 weeks on I'm still waiting.

We ordered the vegan chicken singapore style curry and were really disappointed to find the vegan chicken was not edible as it was far too hard. My husband ended up picking out the vegan chicken and eating the rice and curry. We had ordered this before and it was fantastic..After complaining to Jade Palace we were informed that they had changed the recipe and it was "best to stay away from the vegan chicken and try the tofu" I thought the way this was handled was inappropriate. No responsibility taken or appropriate customer service given from jade palace. How were we to know when ordering that the recipe had been changed? Really disappointed and wont be ordering again

Speedy delivery, cracking hard working staff and the best and most comprehensive vegan selection you could ever want. Best in Perth!

We ordered 2 king prawn chow meins via the online order for collection. Took 20 minutes and it was very nice, I like it stir fried dry which it was. It had a slight sweetness to it but was still very nice. Would order again.

Missing item, rice lukewarm. Chips went in the bin. Friends chowmein was good. Called to ask about missing item, guy on the phone was friendly enough and offered to deliver. Update. Just reordered again. Food not great. Possibly the last one I order from here. Pretty expensive too for what you want. Again missing items. Portion size horrendous and expensive. Sorry guys but you've now lost me as a customer.

Nothing fancy, but the basic dishes of a chicken fried rice and a special fried rice were probably as good as they get in a Chinese takeaway, with the prawn crackers in a ginormous bag, and as crispy and curly as you could hope for. The prawn toast and beef spring rolls were also delicious. All the food was freshly cooked to order, which is why we had a 20 minute wait, but it let us see a constant stream of people collecting orders which implies it is good and popular with locals.

I didnt like the place. The chowmein was greasy and the onion rings were loaded with salt. Defo wont be back!

Amazing Vegan menu and the tastiest food in town!

Ordered online delivery just eat. Arrived at expected time. And we really enjoyed it. So thumbs up from us. Keep up the good standard.

Food was good but the portions where small when compared to other Chinese takeaways.

Ordered through just eat. Took 3 hours to arrive. Items from the order were missing and the food quality was very poor.

Placed order via Just Eat at 6pm, arrived after 9pm with the pancakes missing for the whole duck, alongside some of the sides. Delivery was painfully slow, service when we got in touch regarding the missing items was belligerent. Would strongly suggest to avoid.

I never actually ordered anything from here but my pals Greg, Meg and Marlow did and they were extremely let down. I won't allow this to happen without saying something. Sort yourselves out...

Excellent prawn dishes, generous and tasty fish and chips.

Went to get my tea tonight by the time I waited more like breakfast. Told would be 25 minutes. I waited at least 45 minutes. When I chased my order after 30 minutes I was initially ignored and then met with a confused look. Not convinced that the order had actually been placed. Not the only customer to have an issue. I know they were busy but were more interested in getting the delivery orders out and were the most inefficient service I have witnessed

Ordered sweet and sour chicken with rice & chips ...when delivered the chicken balls were awful ..overcooked and no chips came, I phoned and asked either for a full refund or complete freshly cooked order ..agreed to fresh meal and as an apology they would give bottle of coke and prawn crackers free ..got the new meal delivered no coke no prawn crackers although the meal was perfect ..why say something free was coming when it clearly never ..won't use jade palace again !!

Ordered through just eat, one of only two which will deliver to Bridge of Earn on that platform. Main gripe:-bbq spare ribs which I ordered for a treat were all bone with negligible meat- at first glance they were just a pile of bone and didn’t come with a sauce despite being over £5!!! Kung po wasn’t battered and wasn’t the expected sweet and sour style sauce- tasted quite nice but not what I expected. The delivery driver tried to charge me the excess for delivery outside Perth, which I’d already paid by card, by his reaction when I challenged this I think he tries it on all the time. I most definitely won’t be ordering from them again.

Fly as f I ordered on the foodie app where it said clear as day delivery 3pound so I made the order thought not be long till I get my food but No they phoned me saying because I live in scone there would be a 3 pound on top of the 3 pound delivery charge bringing it up to 6 pound for delivery yeah you can f right off NEVER EVER GOING NEAR THEM AGAIN

Just had a Chinese it was absolutely disgusting the chicken,beef or what wmever it was in the special curry was like a bit off rubber the ribs was not fit for composition the chicken friex rice had not flavour or taste what so ever worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life!!!

I have used this Chinese Takeaway for 6yrs now and I can’t put in to words how terrible the service is or has become over the last year. We waited 2hrs 45mins for food, we were told that it would be 40mins. When it arrived after the 7th phone call to the place, only to be told lies, fobbed off, spoken to like we had done something wrong for complaining and just sheer arrogance of the place and staff!! To say we were angry and disappointed was an understatement. If they had of said sorry we can’t deliver that would have been fine as we only live 3 mins away we could have collected it. Not only that but the food was cold and had clearly been lying somewhere for some time as it was inedible. And lastly there was no way of getting a refund!!!! This is sadly the 5th time over the last while this has happened and it will be the last. Perhaps it would benefit the owners to read these reviews and try to make their service better and work more efficiently as it would appear these comments are a regular theme.

Not my first choice for Chinese but when I have been it's not let me down

Hadn't ordered from the Jade Palace for a long time as was dissapointed on previous visit. Decided to order a Chinese as our regular takeaway the Rivergreen was closed. Telephone order for collection and was told it would be an hour, ordered a shrimp curry, chicken curry and sweet and sour chicken all with fried rice. Curry sauce was very sweet and unappealing, only meal eaten was the sweet and sour chicken which was ok but not as generous a portion as some other takeaways.

Very disappointed tonight! Waited 1 hr 15 mins, chips instead of rice, when phoned was told they would deliver rice but wanted chips back!! Agreed to free prawn crackers with rice delivery (which you would expect anyway with a £40 order) rice arrived 45 minutes later!! Needless to say without prawn crackers! Shocking customer service & used regularly on Just Eat - not now though 😳 shame as other food was good, awful customer service, attitude was dreadful 😱

For a Chinese takeaway, not bad. Had the meal for 2, plus a soup, plus shrimp chow mein. Their spring rolls were massive (like a burrito!) and filling on their own. The rice was meh, but the beef, chow mein, chicken soup, and sweet and sour were all servicable. The banana fritters were fantastic.

They're meals were tasty, they also do fish and chips, (real potatoes) close to Noah's arc caravan site

Really disappointed guys. Waited nearly 2 hours for food I felt fobbed off everytime I called. Once our order came there was something missing and by the time that arrived the other food was cold. An absolute shambles if you can't fulfill an order in the time you promised you should have refunded the order. Coz tonight we ate mushy chow mein, cold chicken balls and uncooked chips. Cheers

Takeaways not so good lately. Kung po more like Sweet and Sour

The Jade Palace is not bad, but it's not great either. Very inconsistent at best. Their biggest problem is that they have major competition in the New Diamond which is a 2 minute drive away on Rannoch Road and is regularly queued out the door which tells its own story on how popular it is and for very good reason as it's easily the best in Perth. The Jade Palace is over priced and they do not include rice or chips in their pricing of meals whereas the New Diamond does and waiting times can be quite considerable whereas the New Diamond are rapid Looking for a set meal for 1 ? The Jade Palace have no such offerings. Their cheapest set meal starts at £25 for 2 and you have a small choice from a select few dishes for the price. Head to the new Diamond and you can get a set meal for 1 for £10 which is enough for 2 people, and you can choose virtually anything for your starter and your main course ( except duck or king prawn dishes) which will include rice or chips (unless it's a fried rice main dish or chow mein dish). With this information to hand it's hard to recommend the Jade Palace for other than a last resort, such as the New Diamond being closed !

have a rapeseed allergy do sign in window saying items cooked in sunflower oil reassured me. so wrong never been so unwell.

Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken and egg fried rice! Was told it would be about an hour via the Just Eat app!!! Was here 15 mins after order placed. Roasting hot and extremely fresh! Delivery girl really friendly. Best takeaway I have had for months!!!

Good carry out for Chinese meals.

Decidí conseguir una comida para llevar desde aquí esta noche y esperaba una comida de buena calidad, ya que pedimos artículos populares del menú. No nos llevó mucho tiempo, lo que nos sorprendió más cuando abrimos la bolsa para sacar una bolsa de papas muy empapada, seguida de una bolsa de bolitas de pollo muy empapada. Las bolas de pollo estaban tan mojadas que la mayoría de la masa se había caído y las papas estaban como papilla. La comida de mi novio solo sabía horrible y parte del pollo tenía trozos negros. Llamamos al palacio de Jade, pero solo pidieron disculpas y terminaron la llamada sin ofrecer un reemplazo o un reembolso por la mala calidad.No volveré a realizar el pedido desde aquí y recomendaría el pedido a otro chino.

Overall the Chinese was quick but not pleasant to eat. I had cucumber/gherkin in my vegetable dish which is unusual. The service was not professional, and the person serving me was rude to other staff.

Avoid!! Waited hour and a half for delivery and the chicken curry was bland bland bland! Was just cooked chicken and onion with curry sauce lashed over the top! Wouldn’t be back!

3rd attempt st using a local takeaway.....Ordered at 5.59pm.....chased 3 times.....staff not that helpful & shouting to kitchen staff whilst not putting the call on mute so I heard everything....cancelled food at 8pm & had to demand a refund to which the manager reluctantly agreed...not very friendly at all. Then the delivery driver attempted to deliver...great communication NOT!!!! Unfortunately the driver got the door slammed in his face...not his fault I know & I did point that out. Beyond useless & definitely not using them ever again.

Ordered a take away in the shop tonight. Asked for special fried rice with no prawn or meat in it suitable for vegetarian They recommended a dish for me they could do. Got home and dish had chicken, beef, and char sui in it!!!! Sweet and sour chicken balls greasy and sauce like water. Crispy chilli beef greasy and hardly any beef in the batter. Save yourself the bother and dont use this place.

Ordered a meal for 4 at 17:00hrs to be delivered at 19:15, eventually arrived at 20:25!!!! And half of it missing. Staff very unhelpful, they also sent a driver that didn’t even know where to go. Absolutely disgusted, certainly will not be using them again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Haven't been for a wee while now. This restaurant has been in Perth for 4 decades and it is a pleasant place to eat. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely lunch and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family.

I love getting food from here. I'm such a fussy eater and I ask for no vegetables in my black bean chicken and I don't get any. Very friendly over the phone and food arrives soon as ordering it.

Ordered takeaway Saturday 30th had to wait an hour n a half .phoned up was told 10 minutes they where busy took order again .arrived 30 minutes later with half order chips missing .sweet n sour chicken Hong style was tasteless n watery . Disappointing

Very unhappy once again! We have been using the Jade Palace for years now, incorrect orders & dishes missing becoming more & more regular! We have even started to repeat orders before ending phone call but still 9/10 orders arrive wrong! Dont get me wrong they do try to rectify quickly but by that time, meal is ruined! Tonights meal wasnt of a great standard either - this very suprising as we have never had a bad meal from there! Really dissapointed

Food reasonably priced and only £2 delivery charge. Food arrived in about 30 minutes, was still really hot and everything was delicious. We had 3 mains plus 1 portion of noodles with delivery came to £26. Think was great and will definitely order from them again.

Ordered food for family, vile curry made with frozen squares of chicken in a bland watery sauce. Vile sausage supper swimming in grease!! Worst takeaway ever ordered, will not return and do NOT recommend

Pleasant staff I had a sweet & sour chicken which tasted good although the chicken balls were a wee bit greasy and few in number. It seems cheap on the menu but when u add rice it bumps the price - I would use it again though.

Ordenados de comer solo, Esperamos un rato en la entrega. El pollo Kung po me dieron, estoy seguro de que era de una verdura o lo que sabía y el pollo era horrible procesados baratos basura. Las patatas fritas no estaban bien cocinadas y la pizza era barato con una diminuta espolvorear de queso y no masa. Es una pena que solía ser muy bueno, pero parece que están más centradas en reducir costes.

I have ordered from here a lot as its near to me but I won't be going back, so fed up of not knowing whether the foods going to be good or not. There is absolutely no consistency to the quality of the food, sometimes it's cooked well, sometimes the chips are almost raw. Sometimes it's nice and clean but others the place smells of fouls rancid fish. Not worth the risk.

I have visited this food outlet on a number of occasions specifically for Chinese food which I have enjoyed. I have not sampled the chip shop food. I would recommend the food served within this esteblishment. The only downside is that they charge 50p to...

He utilizado el Jade Palace regularmente porque su comida china es invariablemente mejor que cualquiera de los otros comida para llevar - frescos, crujientes verduras y agradable-degustación salsas. veo su rey gambas Sechuan como estableciendo los estándares para otros a conocer. Mi única queja es que no están bien en tratar con las quejas - e.g si hacen un error y enviar el malo comida, tienes que ser bastante agobiante para llegar a volver a entregar una de sustitución. Si es un buen cliente, deben hacerlo enseguida, sin ninguna pregunta.

Not sure if it's been taken over or a new cool but we got food here and it really was nice, before it was salty and horrid with bad rice but this time the rice was lovely and the sweet and sour tasted yummy.There has been a bit of te decoration tooIf you avoided before you'll be surprised that it is actually readable food now ;)

Absolutely the worst chip shop i have ever been to! The staff are rude and the place is a total dump. The food on the other hand was even worse! The smallest portions i have ever seen and the chips were half cooked the fish was disgusting my son got chicken nuggets that were like rubber. Will never go back here! My first time and my absolute last time

Stopped here and ordered some chicken balls, curry sauce, prawn crackers and egg fried rice. The restaurant smells like old fish and the floors are very sticky and disgusting. Service was terrible. Ate the food, chicken was so tough couldn't bite through it. Curry sauce tasted like gloopy ketchup and was stone cold. Prawn crackers were rock solid and rice was boiled not fried.Won't go back, New diamond in Letham is the best place to go.

I picked up a menu from Jade Palace late this afternoon. The menu states that telephone orders are welcome and a delivery service is available. That evening, I phoned in my sizeable family order, confirmed the order, total price and delivery time. When volunteeering my card details for payment, I was politely informed that card payments could only be accepted if ordering on line. Cash payment was however, as usual, acceptable, so an unplanned trip to the Cashpoint. I looked at the menu again just in case I'd overlooked an important detail. There is no mention whatosover of on line ordering or indeed of payment types accepted. The order did arrive within the 35 minutes estimated, well done, but the toughness of the Szechan (as it's spelled on the menu) Pork made it barely edible. By the way I paid £1.70 for a small bag of chips when I was in there earlier. I can get a small bag of chips from other local takeaways for at least 40 pence less! I won't use Jade Palace now until its marketing and communications improve and it gets it's pricing in line with the local market.

Went to buy a traditional Fish Supper - what a disappointment!First of all what was recognisable as fish was certainly NOT Haddock or Cod it was whitefish probably Pollack or Coley.The batter was crunchy hard and what was left of the fish dry giving the impression that it had been cooked previously then re-inserted into the deep fat to heat through - YEUCH!The chips were soggy/greasy and were to say the least a let down.The overall menu was extremely limited and nothing inspired!Avoid this place if possible we certainly will not be going back.Prices also on the high side - to be honest what they were selling should have been given away as animal fodder!
