Shanghai Chinese Takeaway in North Ayrshire

Just ridiculous what iv received tonight , I'm no even phoning up , someone who's prepared to cook that and tub it up for a customer doesn't care about the quality of the food. Use this place regularly whoever cooked 2night needs a word in their ear coz just lost a regular customer .. im actually insulted at that pawn toast

Food is always lovely well priced lost a star only because they don't take cards. Edit - must have changed hands as no longer that nice at all. Will be finding a new place. Chicken like chewing a rubber band.

Always a quality meal any time we order staff are great on the phone and delivery is always very prompt and helpful highly recommend 👍👍

Worst curry I have ever had l usually go to lucky house which is good. They were on holiday thought I would try Shanghai. Never again.

Great food!!! I’ve been a regular weekly customer for over 7 years and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal!! From the soup to the chicken curry everything is delicious 😋 I especially love the snack boxes as its great portions for one person & fantastic value. Delivery is also extremely quick!

Ordered a large takeaway for the family from Shanghai for the first time. Excellent service, timely delivery and the food was delicious. Definitely will use Shanghai again. Well done.

Great wee Chinese reasonable priced food also and nice staff on phones and delivery drivers always polite aswell only thing is veg spring rolls wee bit too much on the crunchy side but all ur other foods good Thanks for the good experience ❤ a good Chinese x

First time trying shanghai and it was very good. We were very happy with our meals and reasonably priced. Definitely will be back soon!

The customer service was a joke. Hung up on twice by Hannah and couldn't get a word in edge ways. All I asked was for allergen information and to place an order but it ended in being shouted at by staff. I'll keep my money and get from somewhere else. I was a paying customer but won't be anymore.

Love this place I'm here alot for dinner! The whole family eat out of here! Very well organised and my meal is always ready for collecting as soon as I pay in the time they allocate me to pick up!

Tried for the first time. Bought 1 chicken curry and 1 boiled rice. This was for 2 people. Absolutely brilliant, very tasty and more than enough for us. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food, fast service and friendly staff. There is adequate car parking on street. The menu is extensive and the speed of cooking is excellent.

The woman on the phone doesn't listen, I just made an order for 3 Chicken Curries, 3 Chicken fried rice, 1 large chips, 1 Chicken Balls and 2 bags of Prawn Crackers, I got no Chicken Curries but I did get everything else but she wouldn't rectify the problem without charging an extra £13, I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN we got 3 large Chicken Fried Rice, and was charged £31.30

No card payment. Get cash at garage next door added another pound to cast of food.

The worst customer service ever! You don't expect to be shouted at when your collect a meal. If I could leave no stars I would.

Never got to even order. No menus online - no website at all it appears. When you get there due to Covid you have phone order in - but the menu in window is almost illegible as it is so faded. Then they were constantly engaged. When eventually got through on phone was given curt instruction "wait" then could just hear other noises in background. Remember this was while standing outside in March in Scotland so hardly pleasant standing in the cold wind. Just gave up and went to another takeaway in the area. The food may or may not be okay but the service was so awful we did not get to taste it.

Waited over an hour for an order of two simple things, chips n curry sauce and chicken chow mein! Phoned them 32 times to find out where the order was to be told it had just left, subsequently cancelled the ordered only for the delivery to then turn up at our door 10 minutes later asking why i had cancelled it! Extremely poor service! Will NEVER be using them again, and will be recommending that NOBODY EVER USE THEM FOR DELIVERY

The best Chinese food in the three towns.

It was always my first choice , but very very disappointed with my special fried rice tonight smothered in what was I'm guessing was gravy , very little meat or chicken and only 1 tiny prawn , won't be back.

Nice little Chinese takeaway. Nice staff and decent quality food. Range of smaller meals available if you're not ready for the full size or have a smaller appetite.

The quick snacks breast of chicken curry and quick snacks chicken in black bean sauce are very good

Worse Chinese I’ve ever had. Satay sauce was runny and chicken was tough.

Had a takeaway from here several times and have no complaints. Shanghai noodles are great!
