Rice Paper Thai & Chinese Takeaway in North Ayrshire

Beyond rude! Lied and lied to me...told me to stop shouting while shouting at me... cheeky and I'm beyond fuming I was just spoken to like that when all I asked was a rough time 2 hours later when I may be getting my food. Also I was nice as I get things happen and I'm 6 months pregnant with zero energy to shout at anybody.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in the area, by a country mile.

They called me out of nowhere from this restaurant and started talking to me that thye are calling from vodafone and do i need any new sim or broadband.

Rude staff food is very dear portions small and was left stuck to the toilet after the last meal place has went down hill if you value your health order from elsewhere

Rip off!! Just 15 min ago at 6.1t Mon 8th April 2024 I got a special chow mein- there were two tiny prawns not king prawns in it! 8.30 for that??? Should waited and gone to the new lotus tomorrow it was garbage, I'm a chef and I know what they cost! I also know those were bought in cooked and frozen and they're the worst ones you can buy- shame on you!

Ordered a chicken fried rice. Came well within the delivery time. Open the tub and all I had was fried rice and chicken. No peas, ham or even egg. Called the shop and was told this is how they do it. I have been a customer for 10 years and never had a chicken fried rice like this before from the Rice Paper. Owner was very adamant that I was wrong. Standards have slipped since they installed Foodhub. Unfortunately I wont be ordering from here again, which is such a shame.

yesterday. When I got home, I found that I ordered the wrong chicken tom yum soup. This was not the food I requested, and it also overcharged me in disguise. It doesn’t matter. , the disadvantage is that the soup tastes very salty, I doubled the water and it was still inedible. Other food including wonton noodles, chicken wings, etc. also taste very salty. I hope you can improve it, but I believe I will not patronize it again.

I recently ordered from this Chinese takeaway and I was blown away by the quality of the food! The dishes were all delicious and flavorful, with generous portions. I order a chinese every weekend. We have just returned to Rice Paper after ordering from another chinese. The salt and chilli shreaded chicken is mostly perfect, but every now and then it is so salty it is inedible. No chips, rice or curry sauce can cancel it out, and no one is able to eat it. I am not sure if there is a different chef every so often who has malfunctioning tastebuds. I would rate it 5 stars on the good days and negative when it's not right.

Really disappointed meal. Use to be our favourite Chinese but really gone downhill. Chips are disgusting, weirdest sea weed I’ve had and the batter on the prawns just fell off when taking it out of the container

Took about an hour for my order to be ready (not even a delivery, was ordered in the shop), shop wasnt even busy. Food was cold when eventually got it and when I quizzed employee all I got was a shrug of the shoulders and a half hearted apology. Wont be back.

Best Chinese takeaway food I've tasted!!

Just called to put my order in and asked if they could take the skin off the tomatoes in the chicken and tomato dish to which they said no they cant do that 🤔 so cancelled the order and called golden city who were happy to do it. You just lost out in a £40 order 🤣

Got a take away on sat was rotten reheated chips and rice was rotten to first time had a bad meal from there

Used to be a regular here but it started to be a hit and a miss worth a try as everybody's taste's are different.

Placed order 10 to 6pm order arrived 8.30pm 2hours 40 min for delivery and when it arrived it was cold. The spare ribs, were spare of meat as hardly any meat on the bone at all, disappointed and a waste of money

Absolutely fuming! Called placing an order after this Chinese was recommended for Veg Spring rolls and a Chicken chowmein....cost £11.70 (meal cost £9.20 from menu) at 5.15pm. 2hrs 15 mins later after having to call back meal arrived to be told cost was £14.70!! £5.50 For delivery......what a complete rip off and will never have another carry out. We only stay 4 miles away.

Place is an absolute joke. 45 mins I was told on the phone that delivery would take. 1hr and 35 mins later and was also told it had just left 35 mins before it did.

In those times where human contact is not allowed, for our own safety they dont take any card payment but just cash, actually ridicolous so had to say no thanks as we are self isolating and are not allowed out to get cash sad

Live in Kilmarnock.......read loads of positive reviews. Family occasion tonight and thought I would give it a try........meal was just ok......nothing special

Normally order and pick up a takeaway from here as it's the best Chinese food in Irvine. Tonight decided to get the food delivered. Ordered at 6.30 pm amd was told delivery time would be 1 to 1.5 hours. Called them at 8.40 to be told only 2 drivers and as they were very busy the order was just going out. They need to improve drastically for me to order again as 2 drivers on a Saturday night is is just wrong. Not impressed with the service and the food was cold

First visit to Rice Paper and wont be our last. Fast service and the food was absolutely delicious.

Lunch portion was large a little priced but you pay for what you get in my opinion.

Visited for the first time and I have to say food is amazing its a very popular place in time we were waiting for food they had about 4 orders on the phone you can see why they have won so many awards

Food here is great and opens hours it says it does unlike new lotus further up street which only seems to open when it feels like it.

Had a finger buffet delivered for my son's 30th birthday party, and it was the best decision i made, food was delivered at time required and and set up staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and the food was absolutely amazing all the guests loved it.

Appalling service - been waiting an hour already. Do not go near this place. Many very angry customers. Once food received however it was of reasonable quality. I am leaving my rating as 1 star - the extended wait without any warning is not acceptable.

After reading mostly positive reviews for this takeaway, my family and friend decided to order here. BIG mistake as it turned out to be the worst, most bland meal we have ever had. The meat was tough and fatty, sauces were gloopy and tasteless, wings were greasy. When we phoned we were told we could collect in 20 minutes, but waited another 40 minutes after arriving.. phoned to complain and they were apologetic but apologies didn't ease the financial burden of a meal fed to the wheelie bin and a trip out to the local chip shop ...

everything was good EXCEPT we ordered crab and sweetcorn soup. What we got was CRABSTIX and sweetcorn soup. Crabstix ARE NOT crab and taste entirely different. Wouldn't mind (and expected) tinned crab but NOT crabstix

get a munchy box from here all the time its always delivered quick hot and tastes spot on , good value for money
