The Lauriston Hotel in North Ayrshire

Fantastic 5 star experience at The Lauriston Hotel last night.. the staff, service and food were exceptional.

Arranged the wake following the funeral for my dad on 7th January. The service provided and kindness of the staff can't be emphasised. Wendy was great in helping in organising which was simple and straightforward which when your suffering from grief was what you need. The room provided gave myself, family and friends to come together in a comfortable and warm location to gather. The food provided was gorgeous and tasty. Would definitely recommend if your needing a venue.

Went for a Sunday lunch. Service was very good, food was very good but bordering on the Luke warm side.

We had a family meal the service from the minute we arrived was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing we were a party of 8 and presentation of food and the taste was really good. We will definitely be back.

Had a short stay with my granddaughters. We had a free upgrade to the family room with a full sea view. The room was very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Dinner and break was very good. Staff were extremely friendly and great with the kids. Thoroughly recommend the last hotel in Ardrossan.

Room 3 was cold even with heating on. We requested and received a small heater which solved the issue. Staff were great.

Brilliant hotel and restaurant! We had our wedding lunch here with 12 of our close family after we secretly got married on the 2nd of December. Food and service were brilliant, our guests have all since commented on how good their meal was. The team went above and beyond, even though we booked without any added extras such as wedding decor the room was beautifully yet tastefully decorated for Christmas. We then stayed for two additional nights in the seaview room. Comfy and clean. The bathroom appeared to be recently renovated and was lovely. The bedroom could do with a bit of a facelift but it wouldn’t stop us coming back! From housekeeping to management the staff were so welcoming.

Waiters and waitresses are lovely, stayed in a twin room for one night, nice room but a little bit dirty here and there. They do have nice standards here and food is alright, this place is nothing special but if I was to return to ardrossan I would stay here again.

Great staff breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice.

Let me first explain I had booked a twin room and was upgraded on arrival to a double room which was very kind. Room was clean and I seen the female staff cleaning the next morning so I know cleanliness is a high standard. Breakfast was very good and breakfast staff were very nice. Now a couple not so good points, we had room one. I’m not sure if the staff are aware that the wifi strength is almost non existent and whilst they offer a nice smart tv it’s basically unwatchable due to signal strength. The room is very dated, it was a very soft matress which I’m not used to but was comfortable and bedding was clean as was the room. The bathroom, tampons and cotton buds were a nice touch but the bathroom decor was finished to a terrible standard. Nice Scottish tea cakes and caramel logs provided for tea but spoons were dirty. Overall comfortable but don’t think I’d stay again tho would eat here

Great hotel beautiful location on the beach front. The staff are friendly and happy to help room was spotless and really comfortable. Food was amazing overall best holiday stay over iv had and would highly recommend. See you again guys will definitely be back. *****

Me and my partner come to ardrossan every year. We can’t help but have dinner at the restaurant. The food is delicious and the view is BEAUTIFUL! The staff are so friendly and glad to help. We will always return to the Lauriston. We’re headed to ardrossan today actually! Tonight we’re booked in for dinner haha.

Meat was gristley Vegetables where undercooked.

hotel was amazing, food was okay but the best part was the waitress. The blonde waitress that served me my precious food was extremely kind and even insisted to help me whenever i need anything. She was super polite too even bowed when serving my food. I think she deserves a raise

Millie is the greatest waiter by far, he served me a ravioli and it tastes delicious and very creamy. Would recommend eating at this place. 10/10

Awful meal, the waitress Millie was absolutely awful! She made fun of my nan who had died by falling in the bread aisle in big tescos and when I dropped my fork she farted in my face as her colleagues proceeded to make a shame circle around me. Do not recommend.

Food disgusting repulsive absolutely gross, service from waitress is good though. I would suggest giving them a raise.

Your waitress Millie is a lovely young woman, she was so helpful and was so sweet with any of my complaints, she is also very gorgeous.

Good, small hotel with very reasonable prices. Good food (3 courses for £17 until 6.15pm). We received a free upgrade to room 5 with a sea view. Nice bathroom with rain shower and bath. Correctly. Friendly service. And 1 min walk from train station.

Awesome place. We waiting 45 minutes for one scube ice cream from kids manu. Tolal time over 2 hours waiting time for course kids meals👎👎👎

Cosy little place, with lovely food and nice sea views. Reasonably priced too.

Married here ten years ago and back to where it all began for a wee overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Met with Phil the owner who surprise arranged a lovely bottle to be added to the room for our return from dinner. Vari and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Missed Wendy who has looked after us on every visit we have made since the wedding. Lovely meal and surroundings.
